Floral card - Kukkakortti

I made this birthday card with a stamp by Clearly Besotted called Make a Wish. I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I added only a strip of patterned paper and the stamped sentiment but wanted to keep a clean feel to it, so I didn't use any embellishments.

The Flower Challenge #35

It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge and in August we'd like to see you use your favourite flowers on your cards. We are sponsored by Clearly Besotted who are giving our winner an e-gift card worth 20 GBP! As our Guest Designer we have the fabulous Therese Calvird.

I have to say I love pretty much every flower there is but if I had to choose one favourite, it would be gerbera daisies. Such gorgeous, happy flowers! I don't have any gerbera daisy stamps, so I decided to use Sending Sunshine stamp by our sponsor, Clearly Besotted. I know these flowers are sunflowers but let's just pretend they are gerbera daisies now... I coloured the flowers with my Copics  (I know the centers of gerbera daisies are different, not yellow, but that went so beyond my talents I just made them yellow..) and stamped my sentiment - it's Finnish for Happy Birthday. I then matted the panel onto pink cardstock before adhering it onto my card base. No embellishments here as I thought the flowers were enough on their own.

Itse pidän aika lailla kaikista kukista, mutta jos lemppari pitää valita, niin gerbera on sellainen. Auringonkukkiahan nämä oikeasti ovat mutta leikitään, että ovat nyt gerberoita... Väritin kukat Copiceilla (oikeasti gerberoiden keskusta on erilainen, mutta väritin ne nyt keltaisiksi, koska taitoni eivät veny oikeiden gerberan keskustojen värittämiseen..) ja leimasin tekstileiman. Paneelin kerrostin pinkille kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Mitään koristeita en korttiin laittanut, kukat riittävät.

The Flower Challenge #34: Reminder - Muistutus

It's reminder time at The Flower Challenge as we are mid-way through July already. This time we're asking you to use "Pretty Pastels" in your floral creations and we have a prize for the winner - Uniko is kindly giving away a stamp set to our lucky winner! As a guest designer, we have the fabulous Michelle Lupton.

For my card, I used the stamp Beautiful Friend by Clearly Besotted, I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it using the matching die. For the background I sponged some Distress Oxide ink and lastly, I stamped my sentiment (it's in Finnish and means 'Congratulations').

Less Is More #393: Guest Designer

I have the absolute honour of being a Guest Designer for the current Less Is More challenge - thank you so much, ladies, for having me! It's a colour challenge this time with the cue words being 'Subtle Colours'. I decided to make a spring time thank you card with subtle spring colours and this is what I created. I used the 'Beautiful Friend' stamp and die by Clearly Besotted Stamps and did my colouring with my Copic Markers. I also added a bit of white gel pen to the image and attached the image with foam adhesives. For the background I simply die cut a circle using circle dies. The sentiment says 'Thank You' in Finnish. I also rounded the upper corners of my card with a Corner Chomper.

Minulla on kunnia olla Guest Designerina Less Is More -haasteessa ja tällä kertaa kyseessä on värihaaste teemalla 'Subtle Colours'. Käytin korttiini Clearly Besottedin Beautiful Friend -leimaa ja -stanssia. Leimakuvan väritin Copiceilla, lisäilin hieman valkoista geelikynää ja kiinnitin sen tarrapaloilla. Taustalle stanssasin ympyrän. Kortin kulmia pyöristin Corner Chomperilla.

Kukkaoksa - Floral branch

Synttärikorttivaraston täydennystä, tällä kertaa Clearly Besottedin Beautiful Friend -leimalla. Väritin kukkaoksan Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia ja MFT:n stanssilla stanssatun paneelin, johon leimasin Vilda Stampsin leimalla tekstin. Koristeita en laittanut tällä kertaa, vaan ajattelin antaa kukkaoksan olla keskipisteenä.

I made this birthday card with 'Beautiful Friend' stamp by Clearly Besotted. I coloured it with my Copic Markers and die cut it out. In the background, I placed a piece of patterned paper and a panel die cut with an MFT die. I stamped my sentiment straight onto the panel. I also decided to let the beautiful stamped image take the center stage and did not add any embellishments.

The Flower Challenge #27: Muistutus - Reminder

Muistuttelen The Flower Challengen haasteesta, jonka aiheena on hieman vanhemman leimasimen tai stanssin käyttö (kukka-aiheella!). Haaste on käynnissä 25.12. asti, joten vielä on aikaa osallistua! Käytin korttiini kukkaleimaa Clearly Besottedin  Fresh Flowers -setistä, tämä ei ole ihan vanhimmista vanhin leima mutta jokusen vuoden vanha kuitenkin. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin sen irti. Tekstileiman leimasin kartonkisuikaleelle ja taustalle laitoin sinisävyisiä kuviopapereita.

I'm here to remind you of the current challenge over at The Flower Challenge. The theme is 'Use an Older Stamp or Die' (with floral motif, I might add ;) ) and you'll have until Dec 25th to participate. The stamp that I used for my card is not the oldest of the old but a good few years old still, it's from the 'Fresh Flowers' set by Clearly Besotted. I coloured it with my Copic Markers and die cut the flower. I stamped my sentiment ('You're in my thoughts' in Finnish) on a strip of cardstock and adhered as shown. For the background, I simply used some patterned papers.

Mansikoita - Strawberries

Mansikka-aika parhaimmillaan, nyt niitä löytyy jo korteistakin! :D Nämä ihanat mansikat ovat Clearly Besottedin Sweet Berries -setistä, väritin ne Polychromoksilla. Taustan kehys on stanssattu My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja tekstileima on FinnStamperia. Taustalle raitapaperia ja koristeeksi muutama enamel dotsi.

I love strawberries so I had to get this gorgeous strawberry stamp by Clearly Besotted. Isn't it sweet? It's from the 'Sweet Berries' stamp set and I coloured it with my Polychromos pencils. I stamped my sentiment ('Congrats') on a strip of grey cardstock and die cut the frame with a My Favorite Things die. A bit of stripey paper for the background and some enamel dots to embellish the card. Sweet and simple! :)

Orvokit - Pansies

Nämä orvokit ovat Clearly Besottedin Pretty Pansies -setistä, väritin ne Polychromoksilla. Tekstileima on myös Clearly Besottedia, mutta Sending Sunshine -setistä. Taustalle hieman Lawn Fawnin kuviopaperia ja kartonkia ja koristeeksi jokunen paljetti.

These sweet pansies come from the 'Pretty Pansies' set by Clearly Besotted, I coloured them with my Polychromos pencils. The sentiment is also by Clearly Besotted but from the 'Sending Sunshine' set. I used a bit of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and some cardstock for the background, and added a few sequins.

Yksinkertaistakin yksinkertaisempi kortti tällä kertaa, edes tekstileimaa en tähän laittanut :D Leimakuvana Clearly Besottedin Beautiful Friend, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla ja vähän mustetin reunoja. Taustalle kuviopaperi.

I made a very clean and simple card this time, I didn't even add a sentiment to it :D The stamped image is 'Beautiful Friend' by Clearly Besotted, I coloured it with my Copics. I used a die from the 'Stitched Stackers' die set by Penny Black to die cut the panel, after which I sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges. A bit of patterned paper for the background before adhering everything to the card base.

Aurinkoa päivääsi - Sunshine to your day

Vaihteeksi jotain muutakin kuin kukkia... ;) Leimakuvat ovat Clearly Besottedin Bird Bath -setistä, väritys Polychromoksilla. Paneelin mustetin Distress Oxideilla ja roiskin perään "pakolliset" vesitipat. Kehykset stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja taustapaperi on Lawn Fawnia, tekstileima Dekoretten.

Well, surprise surprise, I made a non-floral card! ;D The cute birdies and their bath is from the 'Bird Bath' set by Clearly Besotted, I coloured the images with my Polychromos pencils. I sponged some Distress Oxide inks on the panel and die cut a frame for it with an MFT die. The sentiment says 'Sunshine to your day'. The gorgeous background paper is by Lawn Fawn.

Orvokit - Pansies

Tämän syntymäpäiväkortin tein äidilleni. Äitini pitää orvokeista, joten valitsin leimakuvaksi orvokit Clearly Besottedin Pretty Pansies -setistä. Väritin ne Zigeillä. Korttipohjan leimasin MFT:n taustaleimalla Typewriter Text Background ja siihen päälle laitoin paneelin, jonka stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla. Siihen vain tekstileima, muutama kultaroiske ja paljetit. Lopuksi vielä kulmien pyöristys.

I made this birthday card for my Mum. My Mum loves pansies so I chose to use this image from the 'Pretty Pansies' set by Clearly Besotted. I coloured it with my Zig markers. I stamped the cardbase with 'Typewriter Text Background' stamp by MFT and added a panel to it, die cut with an MFT die. I stamped my sentiment ("Happy Birthday" in Finnish) on the panel, added some splatters with gold spray and a watercolour brush and added some sequins. Lastly, I rounded the bottom corners of the card.

Lintuset - Birdies

Ystävänpäiväkortilla jatketaan taas. Leimailin tähän noita suloisia Clearly Besottedin lintuja pönttöineen Happy Bird-day -setistä ja väritin Zigeillä. Vähän Distress Inkiä reunoille tuohon MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun paneeliin, Dekoretten tekstileima myöskin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin, vähän kuviopaperia ja nappia. Niin, ja Nuvo Dropsia.

I made this friendship card for a crafty friend of mine. The stamps I used are from the 'Happy Bird-day' set by Clearly Besotted (those little birdies are so cute! :) ), I coloured the image with my Zig Markers. I die cut the panel with a MFT die and sponged some Distress Ink on the edges. I then stamped my sentiment ('For a Friend' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with a MFT die as well, added a bit of patterned paper to the background and finished the card with a button and some Nuvo Drops.

Ruusuja - Roses

Tilauksesta syntyi tällainen synttärikortti. Isompiin tasavuosiin sopii mielestäni ruusut, joten tähän valikoitui uusin ruusuleimani, Clearly Besottedin Thanks a Bunch. Väritin sen taas Copiceilla ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla taustaan. Taustalle stanssasin ympyröitä Lili of the Valley'n paperista ja kartongista, vihreä taustapaperi on Simple Storiesin. Numerot on tarroja ja lisäksi laitoin muutaman tipan kultaista Sticklesiä.

I was asked to make a birthday card for a lady turning 80. I think roses are always a good choice for elderly ladies so I chose to use my newest rose stamp, 'Thanks a Bunch' by Clearly Besotted. Once again I coloured the image with my Copics and attached it with foam adhesives. I die cut a couple of circles from patterned paper by Lili of the Valley and some cardstock to place behind the flowers, the background paper is by Simple Stories. The numbers are stickers and I added a few drops of gold Stickles to finish the card.

Yksinkertaisesti kukkia - Simply Flowers

Clearly Besottedin uusimmissa leimoissa on muutama aivan ihana kukkaleima, joista osan kotiutin itselleni. Tässä yksi niillä tehty kortti. Leimasetin nimi on Make a Wish ja väritin kukkaset taas Copiceilla. Muuten korttiin ei paljoa muuta tullutkaan, sillä halusin pitää kukat pääosassa. Stanssasin vain paneelin irti Simon Says Stampin stanssilla, leimasin Dekoretten tekstileiman vellumille ja lisäsin muutaman enamel dotsin. Sitten vain kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

The latest release from Clearly Besotted has some seriously gorgeous flower stamps and I just had to get myself some of them... ;) This is one of the flower stamps I fell in love with, it's called 'Make a Wish' and I coloured the flowers with my Copics. I kept the card quite simple as I wanted the flowers to really be the focal point here so I just die cut the panel with a Simon Says Stamp die and sponged a bit of Distress Ink to it. I stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) on a piece of vellum and added some enamel dots as embellishments before attaching the panel to the card base.

Flowers - Kukkia

Pari kukkakorttia eri väreissä. Leimakuva on Clearly Besottedin ja Copiceilla väritetty, paperit ovat Lili of the Valley'ä ja koristeina doilyjä ja puolitimantteja.

I have a couple of cards to show you today. I needed to make some birthday cards and decided to go with the same design and just change the colours. The stamped image is by Clearly Besotted (I love that flower! :) ) which I coloured with my Copics. The patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley and as embellies there's just some doilies and stickyback pearls. The sentiment says 'Happy Birthday' in Finnish.

Onnea Sandie! - Happy birthday Sandie!

Time Out Challengesissa on nyt menossa erikoishaaste - Sandiella, yhdellä tuon haasteblogin perustajista, on tänään syntymäpäivä, joten haasteen aiheena on Sandien kunniaksi "CAS with the optional twist of purple". Itse koitin pysyä erittäin CAS-linjalla olematta kuitenkaan liian tylsä, joten taittelin korttipohjan violetista tekstuuripintaisesta kartongista ja stanssasin tuon valkoisen paneelin niinikään tekstuuripintaisesta kartongista. Paneeliin stanssasin aukon Penny Blackin 'Playful Posies' -stanssilla, leimasin tekstin Clearly Besottedin leimalla ja lisäsin hieman nyöriä ja muutaman timantin. Paneelin kiinnitin korttipohjaan kohotarroilla.

There's a special challenge over at Time Out Challenges - the sweet Sandie, one of the founders of the challenge blog, is celebrating her birthday today! Happy birthday, Sandie!! In honour of Sandie, the theme is 'CAS with the optional twist of purple'. I tried to keep my card as CAS as possible without being too dull and this is what I came up with. I diecut the white panel out of textured cardstock with Simon Says Stamp stitched edge die, and then I diecut the flowers with the Penny Black die 'Playful Posies' out of it as I only wanted to use the  negative of the die. The sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp and as embellies there's only some twine and a few sticky back rhinestones. Once again, very happy birthday, Sandie, hope you like this card!

Elämänlanka - Morning glory

Näytille pari samalla kaavalla, mutta eri väreillä tehtyä korttia. Leimakuva on Papetrey Inkin Morning Glories, jonka embossasin valkoisella ja väritin Distress Markereilla ja vedellä, johon sekoitin hieman Perfect Pearlsia (kuvista se ei varmaankaan näy, mutta kukat kimaltavat kauniisti tuosta Perfect Pearlsista). Sitten vain hieman stanssausta, tekstileimat (Clearly Besottedia ja Stampendousia) ja paperille, kartongille ja korttipohjaan kiinnitys.

I made a couple of cards with Papertrey Ink's 'Morning Glories' stamp which I heat embossed with white powder and watercoloured with Distress Markers using a mixture of water and some Perfect Pearls (you probably can't see it in the photos, but the flowers have a beautiful shimmer to them thanks to the Perfect Pearls). Then I partially die cut the panels with the flowers, stamped the sentiments (by Clearly Besotted and Stampendous, the latter sentiment says 'Happy Birthday' in Finnish), matted the panels to some patterned paper and then to cardstock, and adhered them to card bases.

Ruusu - A rose

Ohhoh, neljä kuukautta meni hujauksessa! Pieni, suunnittelematon blogitauko siinä siis mutta täällä ollaan taas :) (Tervetuloa muuten uusille lukijoille, jotka tuona aikana olette tänne blogiin tai Facebookiin tienne löytäneet :) ) Koska maaliskuussa jäätiin ruusuun, niin jatketaan nyt taas ruusulla, tällä kertaa Stampendousin Cottage Rose -leimalla. Näistä molemmista korteista tuli melkoisen yksinkertaiset, leimasin ruusun vesivärikartongille, väritin Distress Markereilla, leimasin tekstit (Papertrey Inkiä ja Clearly Besottedia), kerrostin kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Simppeli linja siis taas.

It's been four months since my last blog post (time flies, eh?) but here I am again :) (Hi and welcome to my new followers who found their way either here or to my Facebook page during my absence :) ) In March I showed you a card with a single rose and what do I have for you today? Cards with single roses! Hah, nothing new there then! :D This time I used the 'Cottage Rose' stamp by Stampendous which I coloured with Distress Markers. I stamped the sentiments (by Papertrey Ink and Clearly Besotted respectively), matted the image onto some red cardstock and adhered it to the card base. And that was it, clean and simple again.

Yksinäinen ruusu - A lonely rose

Tein tämän kortin Simply Cards and Papercraft -lehden mukana tulleilla Clearly Besottedin leimoilla. Väritin ruusun ProMarkereilla ja leikkasin irti. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä ja paperit Lili of the Valley'ä. Lisänä muutama paljetti ja vähän nyöriä. Jotain tämä kortti mielestäni jäi kaipaamaan, tuo ruusu taitaa olla aavistuksen liian pieni yksinään tuohon korttiin, joten jotain lisää siinä olisi voinut olla. Mutta eipä auta enää, tällainen tuli tästä ja seuraavaan korttiin sitten lisää härpäkettä ;D

I made this card using the free Clearly Besotted stamps that came with a previous issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft. I coloured the rose with ProMarkers and fussy cut it out. The sentiment stamp is by Papertrey Ink and the patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley. As embellies, there are some sequins and twine. I'm not totally pleased with this card, I think it's lacking something... I guess that rose stamp is just a tad too small for the card, it would have been better if there was something more on the card with it. Now it just looks lonely :D Well, that can't be helped now, I'll just have to leave it as is and call it a card, I guess.

Höyheniä - Feathers

Hero Artsilla on meneillään luontoaiheinen haaste, johon ajattelin osallistua tällä kortilla. Käytin tähän Heron sulkaleimoja, joista isomman embossasin kullalla vellumille ja pienemmän valkoiselle kartongille. Kortin kanteen stanssasin Elegant Feathers -stanssilla sulanmuotoisen aukon ja kiinnitin ison sulan kortin sisäosaan. Pienemmän sulan kiinnitin osittain stanssatun aukon päälle. Tekstileima on Clearly Besottedia ja lisänä hieman nyöriä ja muutama pieni paljetti.

Hero Arts is hosting a Nature Challenge for which I made this card. I used the 'Feathers' stamps by Hero Arts and heat embossed the biggest one onto vellum with gold embossing powder and one of the smaller ones onto white cardstock. I used one of the 'Elegant Feathers' dies to die cut the opening onto the card front and adhered the big feather onto the inside of the card so that it peeks through the opening.
