Lumihiutale - Snowflake

Tein tämän kortin Uniko Studiosin haasteluonnoksen pohjalta. Uniko Studiosin leimoja minulla ei ole, joten käytin tähän uusinta Hero Artsin leimasintani Dotted Snowflake, jonka embossasin hopealla. FinnStamperin tekstileiman leimasin tuohon banneriin ja kiinnitin sen tarrapaloilla. Kerrostin paneelin sitten hopeaiselle glitter-paperille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan niinikään tarrapaloilla. Ja siinäpä se sitten taas olikin :)

I found a fab sketch over at Uniko Studios' challenge and decided to use it to make a card. Unfortunately, I don't have any Uniko Studios products (yet ;) ) so I decided to use my newest Hero Arts stamp called 'Dotted Snowflake' which I heat embossed in silver. I die cut the banner, stamped the sentiment on it (it says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish) and attached it with foam adhesives. Then I matted the panel onto some silver glitter paper and attached the whole thing on a card base with foam adhesives.

Talviset puut - Winter trees

Viime lauantaina järjestettiin Seinäjoella askartelumiitti (kiitos järjestämisestä, MarjoKoo ja Ina!), jossa minäkin kävin nykertämässä peräti kaksi korttia (ai miten niin lännen nopein askartelija..!? ;D ). Tällä kortilla osallistuin miitissä pidettyyn haasteeseen, jonka bingoruudukosta valitsin itselleni rivin turkoosi-musta-valkoinen. Leimakuva tässä on Hero Artsin Winter Trees, jonka embossasin hopealla ja kerrostin mustalle kartongille ja jonka kiinnitin sitten kuviopaperin (BoBunny) päälle. Koristeeksi stanssasin tuon lumihiutalekoukeron (Poppy Stampsin Snowy Scrollwork) kimallepaperista ja lisäilin siihen muutaman timantin. Siinäpä se, suuren tuskailun jälkeen syntynyt hyvinkin yksinkertainen kortti ;D

Here's a simple little Christmas card I made last weekend. I heat embossed the stamped image ('Winter Trees' by Hero Arts) with silver embossing powder and matted it onto some black cardstock. The patterned paper I used for the background is by BoBunny. The only embellishment I used is the diecut ('Snowy Scrollwork' by Poppy Stamps) cut out of glittery silver paper and embellished with some rhinestones.

Joulukuusi - Christmas Tree

Pitkästä aikaa ikkunakorttia! Taittelin tekstuuripintaisesta kartongista korttipohjan ja stanssasin sen ja etupaneelin läpi ympyrän, väliin laitoin kohokuvioidun asetaattipalan ja tuon paneelin kohotarroilla koholle. Kuusen leimasin Hero Artsin Merry Christmas Trees -setin kuusella ja embossasin valkoisella, päälle levitin vihreää Distress Inkiä, koristeeksi pieni helmi. Tekstibannerin stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja embossasin tuon Stempelkellerin tekstin.

It's been a while since I last made a window card so decided to make one now. The card base and the panel are both textured cardstock, I die cut the circle out of them both and added a piece of dry embossed acetate between them, and attached the panel with foam adhesives for a little raised effect. The tree is stamped with a tree stamp from Hero Arts set 'Merry Christmas Trees', heat embossed in white and sponged with green Distress Ink. I die cut the banner with a My Favorite Things die and heat embossed the sentiment  (which says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish). As a finishing touch, there's one red sticky back pearl.

Paljon onnea - Congrats

Tätini täyttää 70 vuotta ja suvun kortintekijänä tein hänelle tietenkin useamman kortin :) Tässä niistä yksi. Embossasin Hero Artsin Leaf and Floral Background -taustaleiman valkoisella ja levitin päälle Distress Inkejä. Tekstileima on FinnStamperin ja rosetti on tehty Tim Holtzin stanssilla. Lisänä vähän nyöriä, ääriviivatarranumeroita, kerrostusta ja muuta.

My aunt celebrates her 70th birthday this September and as the 'official cardmaker of the family', I made her several cards :) Here's one of them. I heat embossed the Hero Arts 'Leaf and Floral Background' stamp with white embossing powder and sponged it with several Distress Inks. I made the rosette with a Tim Holtz die and added the numbers (peel-off stickers) on it. The sentiment says 'Congrats' in Finnish.

Kukkia koholla - Stamped and embossed

Tein muutaman onnittelukortin leimaus+kohokuviointikombolla. Käytin näihin Hero Artsin Silhouette Vines -leimaa ja sen mukana tulevaa kohokuviointikansiota, joilla sai mielestäni kivan lopputuloksen. Leima kohokuviointeineen on melko iso, joten paljon muuta ei korttiin mahdukaan, vain tekstileima (FinnStamper) vellumvyötteeseen ja kerrostus kartongille ja korttipohjaan. Ensimmäiseen korttiin väritin leiman Distress Markereilla ja Impress-tusseilla ja suihkaisin vettä perään, kaksi muuta korttia on leimattu Hero Artsin Shadow Inkeillä.

I made a few simple birthday cards with my new stamp and embossing folder set by Hero Arts. It's called 'Silhouette Vines' and I really like it, I think the embossing gives it a lovely look. The stamped and embossed image is quite large so there isn't much room for embellishments, I just stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) on a strip of vellum and matted the image on some cardstock and then onto the card base. For the first card, I used Distress Markers and Impress markers to colour the stamp before spritzing it with some water and stamping it, and the other two cards are just stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

Ruusuja - Roses

Pidän Charles Rennie Mackintoshin töistä ja kun huomasin, että Chocolate Baroquella on Mackintosh-vaikutteisia leimoja, niin pitihän ne kotiuttaa ;) Tämä leima on Mackintosh Windows -setistä, embossasin sen mustalla, väritin Twinkling H2O -vesiväreillä ja kerrostin mustalle kartongille. Tekstileima on FinnStamperin, sekin mustalla embossattu ja kartongille kerrostettu. Taustaleima on Hero Artsin Modern Lines ja senkin embossasin. Sekä leimakuva että tekstileima on kohotarroilla kiinnitetty.

I love Charles Rennie Mackintosh's work and when I noticed that Chocolate Baroque has stamp designs influenced by him, I had to have them! ;) This particular stamp is from the 'Mackintosh Windows' set, I heat embossed it with black powder and coloured with Twinkling H2O watercolours. The sentiment says 'Congrats' and it's heat embossed as well, as is the background stamp ('Modern Lines' by Hero Arts). Both stamped panels are adhered with foam adhesives.

Kultaa ja höyheniä - Golden feathers

Kultaa, kultaa, kultaa... Taustaan embossasin kultaisia raitoja kohojauheen ja sabluunan avulla ja höyhenet leimasin, embossasin ja stanssasin Hero Artseilla vellumille. Lisäksi muutama kultainen paljetti ja mustia roiskeita ja siinäpä se. Simppeli kortti kultaa täynnä! :D

Gold, gold, gold... and not much else on this card! ;) I heat embossed the gold stripes on the background with some embossing powder and a Crafter's Workshop stencil. The feathers are stamped, heat embossed and die cut with Hero Arts stamps and dies on vellum. Then I just added some golden sequins and black ink splatters and called it a card :)

Valokeilassa - In the Spotlight

Tein tämän kortin jo viime viikolla Simon Says Stampin haasteeseen, mutta ehdin vasta nyt sitä bloggaamaan. Ajattelin siis pitkästä aikaa kokeilla spotlight-tekniikkaa. Embossasin korttipohjaan Hero Artsin Large Flower Backgroundin valkoisella jauheella ja tein sitten saman vesiväripaperille. Vesiväripaperista sitten stanssasin ympyrän ja väritin siitä kukan ja taustan Twinkling H2O-vesiväreillä. Embossasin vellumille FinnStamperin tekstin (tuo fontti on niiiin ihana! :) ), kiinnitin sen korttipohjaan, ympyrän päälle kohotarroilla ja sitten vielä kulmien pyöristys.

I made this card already last week for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and I thought I'd better blog it before the challenge closes! :) I've tried the spotlight technique previously (some years ago, I think?) and I thought I'd try it again. So I heat embossed the gorgeous Large Flower Background by Hero Arts on my card base and did the same on some watercolour paper. Then I die cut the circle from the heat embossed watercolour paper and colour it with some Twinkling H2O watercolours. I heat embossed my greeting (it says 'Congrats') on a strip of vellum and adhered to my card base, and then adhered the circle with some foam adhesives. Lastly, I simply rounded the opposing corners with my Corner Chomper.

Onnea tulevaan - All the best

Minua pyydettiin tekemään kortti työpaikkaa vaihtavalle ja tein samasta kortista kaksi eri versiota valittavaksi. Leimakuva näissä on Hero Artsin Leafy Vines ja molempiin kortteihin embossasin sen, ensimmäiseen valkoisella ja toiseen glitterimustalla. Taustat tein Dylusions spray inkeillä ja tekstit vähän soveltaen - 'Onnea' on osa yhdestä tekstileimasimesta ja 'tulevaan' on leimattu Penny Blackin aakkosleimoilla. Lisänä molemmissa korteissa on pieniä timantteja.

I was asked to make a card for someone changing jobs and I made two versions of the same card. The stamp I used was 'Leafy Vines' by Hero Arts and I heat embossed it, on the first card with white embossing powder and on the second card with glittery black. The backgrounds are made with Dylusions spray inks. The sentiment on both says something like 'All the best for the future' and it's stamped on a strip of vellum. There are also some tiny rhinestones as finishing touches.

Haasteita - Challenges

Olen aikaisemminkin sanonut, etten ole erityisen hyvä luonnoshaasteissa ja olen edelleenkin sitä mieltä. Minkälaiseen haasteeseen sitten kannattaa näillä lahjoilla osallistua? No, luonnoshaasteeseen tietysti... :D Eli ensimmäistä kertaa (ainakin muistaakseni) mukana CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteessa ja heti, kun luonnoksen näin, tuli mieleeni "sudinveto"-leimasimet Heron Brush Strokes -setistä. Yhdellä niistä ja Heron Shadow Inkeillä sitten leimailin tämän tekstuuripintaiselle kartongille. Tekstin stanssasin Memory Boxin aakkosstansseilla ja kiinnitin mustan kartongin tekstin taakse. Lisäksi laitoin vielä muutaman paljetin ja niiden kanssa osallistun tällä kortilla myös CASologyn haasteeseen, jossa aiheena 'shine'.


I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not really good at sketch challenges. And what am I doing now? Well, taking part in a sketch challenge, naturally... Ha ha! :D This is my first time taking part in CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge (at least I think so..) and as soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of the Brush Strokes stamp set by Hero Arts. I think the brush strokes suited the sketch perfectly so I used one of them and some Hero Arts Shadow Inks to stamp the 'blocks' on textured white cardstock. Then I die cut the sentiment (it says 'Congrats!' in Finnish) with Memory Box alphabet dies and attached some black cardstock behind it. As finishing touches, there are some sequins. And as the sequins shine, I'll link this card to the current CASology challenge with the theme 'Shine'.

Feikkausta - Faking It

Watercolor for Cardmakers -kurssin 8. päivän (joka meni jo hetki sitten...) aiheena oli feikkivesivärimaalaaminen. Tein tämän kortin Tasnim Ahmedin tutoriaalin mukaan mutta täytyy sanoa, etten päässyt lähellekään mallikortin tasoa! Kortti tuli kuitenkin tehtyä mutta ehkä minun pitää vielä hieman harjoitella, ehkä... ihan vain vähän... ;D Kukka on Hero Artsin Engraved Flower ja vesiväritys on tehty Distress Inkeillä.

The theme for the 8th day (which was during last week...) of Watercolor for Cardmakers class was 'Faux Hand-Painting'. I followed Tasnim Ahmed's tutorial to make this card and I have to say that I got nowhere near the beauty of the original card! It was stunning! And this... well, isn't. I guess I just need to practice. A bit. Just a tiny wee bit. Hah! Anyways, the stamp I used is 'Engraved Flower' by Hero Arts and I used Distress Inks for watercolouring.

Pelastusyritys - Attemp to save a card

Tämänpäiväinen vesivärikortti pohjaa Watercolor for Cardmakers -kurssin 5. päivään ja siellä Shari Carrollin tutoriaaliin. Leimakuvana tässä on valkoisella embossattu Hero Artsin Looped Flower Pattern ja se on väritetty Distress Markereilla. Tekstileima on FinnStamperin ja lisänä hieman vellumia, narua ja yksi yksinäinen paljetti. Ihmetteletkö muuten tuota vellumia tuossa tekstileiman päällä? Se on rehellisesti sanottuna yritys pelastaa tämä kortti! :D Leimasin tuon tekstileiman Hero Artsin Cup O' Joe -musteella, kun ajattelin, että se ei olisi ihan niin voimakas kuin musta muste - no ei ollut, mutta oli silti aivan liian tumma tähän korttiin. En tiennyt, mitä olisin leimatulle tekstille tehnyt, poiskaan sitä ei saanut, joten hätäpäissäni laitoin siihen vellumbannerin (loistavaa suomea... ;) ) päälle pehmentämään. En ole ollenkaan varma, toimiiko se mutta siinä se nyt on, pehmentämässä :)

I made today's card once again for the Watercolor for Cardmakers class. I was inspired by Day 5 of the class and Shari Carroll's tutorial. The background stamp I used is 'Looped Flower Pattern' by Hero Arts and it is heat embossed in white and coloured with Distress Markers. The sentiment says 'Congrats' and as other elements there's some vellum, a bit of twine and one single sequin. Do you wonder at all why I placed the vellum banner over the sentiment instead of stamping the sentiment on the banner? Well, let me be honest: it's an attempt to save this card! :D I stamped my sentiment with Hero Arts ink 'Cup O' Joe' thinking it would not be as bold as black ink - well, it wasn't but it was still way too dark for the card and looked a bit odd. I didn't know what to do to save the card (I liked it otherwise so I didn't want to throw it away) so after some panicky pondering I decided to place some vellum on top of it, like a banner, to soften the appearance of the sentiment. I'm not sure it works though or if it just looks strange but there it is now... :)

Unikkoja - Poppies

Vaihteeksi taas ihan simppeli peruskortti. Hero Artsin Poppy Backgroundin embossasin valkoisella jauheella ja väritin unikot Twinkling H2O -väreillä. Kerrostin ne parille kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan, jonka olin kohokuvioinut Papertrey Inkin Impression Platella. Lisäksi nauhaa rusetille.

Today I have a very simple and basic 'no fuss' card to show you. I heat embossed the 'Poppy Background' stamp by Hero Arts with white embossing powder and coloured the image with Twinkling H2O watercolours. I then matted the image on a couple of layers of cardstock and attached on my cardbase (I had dry embossed the card base with an Impression Plate by Papertrey Ink). Then I just added a simple ribbon tied into a bow, and that's it.

P*skarteluhaaste #215

P*skarteluhaaste #215 tarjoaa luonnoksen, jonka mukaan tein tämän kortin - sen jälkeen, kun olin pyöräyttänyt luonnoksen ylösalaisin :) Tykkäsin tästä luonnoksesta kovasti ja tulen varmasti käyttämään sitä jatkossakin. Leimattu kukka on Hero Artsin Small Striped Flower, väritin sen Distress Staineilla ja päälle laitoin Tattered Angelsin väritöntä Glimmer Glazea. Lehdet ovat Papertrey Inkin leimoja (Turning a New Leaf -setistä) HA:n Shadow Inkillä leimattuna. Paperit ovat My Mind's Eyetä, kaaren stanssasin Simon Says Stampin stanssilla. Tekstin leimasin vellumille ja lisäksi laitoin muutaman pilkun valkoista Enamel Accentsia.

I spotted a fun sketch over at P*skarteluhaaste challenge blog and made this card using it, although I did turn the sketch upside down just for the fun of it. The stamped flower is 'Small Striped Flower' by Hero Arts, I coloured it with Distress Stains and added a layer of clear Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze over it. The leaves are stamped with 'Turning a New Leaf' set by Papertrey Ink and some green HA Shadow Ink. The papers are by My Mind's Eye, I die cut the curved edge with a Simon Says Stamp die. The sentiment ('Congratulations') is stamped on vellum which I die cut with a My Favorite Things die. As a final touch I added some dots with white Enamel Accents.

Keltaista! - Yellow!

Vuoden 2014 ensimmäinen kortti on tehty! Ja siitä tuli melko... keltainen! :D P*skarteluhaasteen #214 aiheena on värit keltainen-turkoosi-harmaa ja niillä (+mustalla....) syntyi tämä kortti. Leimasin keltaiselle korttipohjalle Hero Artsin Painted Canvas -leimalla ja Hero Artsin keltaisella Shadow Inkillä taustan. Tuohon suorakulmioon leimasin HA Leaf and Floral Background -leimalla ja niinikään keltaisella Shadow Inkillä kuvion ja päälle laitoin vielä keltaista Distress Inkiä (leimasin kuvion valkoiselle kartongille ja valkoinen tuntui jotenkin "huutavan" sieltä, joten ei muuta kuin lisää keltaista ja homma pelitti paremmin :) ). Tirpan stanssasin Memory Boxin stanssilla ja kuorrutin Distress Glitterillä. Lisäksi vielä tekstileima vellumille, ProMarkerilla harmaaksi väritetty chipboard-tähti ja muutama pilkku mustaa Enamel Accentsia koristeeksi ja koko höskä harmaalle kartongille kerrostettuna kiinni korttipohjaan tarrapaloilla.

Here's my first card for 2014 and boy did it turn out quite yellow! :D I made this for P*skarteluhaaste Challenge #214 where the theme is colours yellow-turquoise-grey. I stamped Hero Arts Painted Canvas background stamp onto yellow card base with yellow Hero Arts Shadow Ink. Then I stamped the rectangular cardstock with Hero Arts Leaf and Floral Background stamp and some yellow HA Shadow Ink. The rectangular cardstock was originally white but it didn't look too good (it was a bit 'too' white) so I sponged it with some yellow Distress Ink. I die cut the birdie with a Memory Box die 'Meadow Bird' and coated with Distress Glitter. Then I stamped the sentiment ('congrats' in Finnish) onto some vellum, added a chipboard star coloured grey with a ProMarker and few dots of black Enamel Accents as embellishments and adhered it, mounted onto some grey cardstock, to card base with foam adhesives.

Viimeiset joulukortit - The last of the Christmas cards

Tässä ne luvatut vuoden viimeiset joulukortit. Nämäkin menivät (blogi)kavereille ja tein ne kaikki "samalla kaavalla", vähän vaihtelin värejä ja elementtejä. Kaikissa tuo tausta on leimattu Hero Artsin Tweed Patternilla ja HA Shadow Inkillä ja tagi on värjätty Distress Staineilla. Koristeina löytyy sitten sekalaista seurakuntaa chipboard-kuvioista stanssattuihin lintuihin, en niistä sen kummemmin sepustele (ajan säästämiseksi ;) ), mutta jos kysyttävää on, niin kysy ja kerron kyllä.

Here's my last batch of Christmas cards for this year. I sent these to my (bloggy) friends. They're all basically the same, I simply changed the colours and some of the elements for each card. The background on each is stamped with 'Tweed Pattern' by Hero Arts and HA Shadow Inks and the tag is coloured with Distress Stains. As embellies there are a bit of everything from chipboard shapes to die cut shapes. I won't go into details with them now (to save some time ;) ) but if there's something you want to know, just ask :)

Osui nuo Shakespearen viisaat sanat silmään kirjasta, joten otin ja saksin ne talteen :) (järkyttyneille lohduksi: kirja on ihan askartelua varten kirpparilta ostettu, Williamin kootut istuu kirjahyllyssä saksien ulottumattomissa ;) ). Muuten sivu rakentui Twinkling H2O -vesiväreistä, akryylimaalista, washiteipistä, leimoista, musteista, glitteristä jne.

Another art journal page to share. I saw those wise words by Shakespeare in a book, took my scissors and cut the quote out to use in my page :) (no need to get upset though: the book I used is bought for crafting purposes from a flea market, my edition of William's complete works is safe and sound sitting on my book shelf ;) ). Other than the quote, there are some Twinkling H2O watercolours, acrylic paints, some washi tape, rubber stamping, inks, glitter, etc. on that page.

Tirppa ja tagi - A tag and a bird

Eräällä blogiystävällä on näillä paikkeilla marraskuuta synttärit ja lähetin hänelle sitä juhlistamaan kortin ja tämän tagin. Kortti oli  aika lailla kopio eräästä jo tekemästäni kortista, josta synttärisankari oli tykännyt mutta jota minulla ei enää ollut (siksi siis jouduin kopioimaan itseäni :D ), joten en siitä ottanut kuvaa. Menin tässä tagissa mixed media -linjalle, koska aavistelin ystäväisen siitä pitävän. Tähän meni taas aika lailla kaikenlaista gessosta Distress Staineihin, washiteipistä nappiin ja vellumkukista Enamel Accentsiin. Taustassa käytin sabluunoita ja leimasimia ja lintu on stanssattu Memory Boxin stanssilla ja kuorrutettu kohojauheella.

A bloggy friend of mine celebrates her birthday in November and to celebrate, I sent her a birthday card and this tag. For the card I copied myself ;) as my bloggy friend had liked a certain card I had made earlier but as I didn't have that particular card anymore, I was forced to copy myself - so no pictures of the card today as you've already basically seen it! I wanted to create a mixed media tag for this friend of mine as I thought she might like it, so I used the usual suspects for this: gesso, Distress Stains, washi tape, punched vellum flowers, white Enamel Accents, etc. I used a couple of stencil and some rubber stamping, too. The bird is die cut with a Memory Box die and heat embossed with embossing powder.

Pinkkiä lunta - Pink snow

Pienellä muistutuksella mennään taas, eli Korttikarkurin Scrap a Happy Christmas - Christmas Cards Out of Scraps/Old Stash! -haaste on parhaillaan meneillään ja siihen voi osallistua siis jouluaattoon asti. Palkintoakin on luvassa :) Itse käytin tähän korttiin leimakuvaa, jonka sain sössittyä tehdessäni noita edellisen postauksen joulukortteja. Mustetin leimasimen vähän turhan roimalla kädellä ja sain mustetta tuohon lumiosaankin, johon tuli mukava pinkki jälki. Olin jo heittää leimakuvan pois, kun tulin ajatelleeksi tätä haastetta ja päätin yrittää tehdä kortin, jossa saisin tuon ylimääräisen musteen piiloon. Niinpä syntyi sitten ympyränmallinen kortti! :) Lintu on Memory Boxin stanssilla stanssattu ja glitteröity irtoglitterillä, jonka ostin varmaankin reilu vuosi sitten mutta jota olen harvemmin käyttänyt. Vanhoja varastoja siis ja niiden käyttöhän sopii tähän haasteeseen myös :) Lisäksi kortissa on vielä vellumbanneri, johon leimasin Stempelkellerin leimalla tekstin.

It's time to remind you of the card challenge over at Korttikarkuri: Scrap a Happy Christmas - Christmas Cards Out of Scraps/Old Stash! is currently going and you have time to participate until Christmas Eve, so get your scraps and old stash out and start making those Christmas cards!

I made my card using a stamped image that I meant to use for these Christmas cards. However, I inked my stamp a bit too generously and got pink ink onto to the snow part - not nice at all! I almost threw the image into the bin but in the last minute I remembered this challenge and decided to try and use the image after all. I needed to hide the ink on the snow so I made a round card - now you'd never know there's pink snow hiding underneath the rim of the card! ;) I die cut the little bird with a Memory Box die and added some dry glitter on it (the dry glitter is old stash, I bought it over a year ago and have used it only a couple of times). I stamped the sentiment on a vellum banner, roughly translated it says 'Warm Christmas greetings' in Finnish.

Liukuvärjättyä maisemaa - Ombré scene

Olen ihastellut liukuvärjättyjä leimakuvia erinäisissä blogeissa ja päätin itsekin yrittää samaa. Leimasin Hero Artsin Winter Trees -leiman kolmella Hero Artsin musteella: pinkkiin korttiin Soft Pink - Bubblegum Pink - Pale Tomato ja siniseen korttiin Soft Pool - Tide Pool - Pool. Taustan leimasin Hero Artsin Tweed Pattern -taustaleimalla, lisäksi vain vellumiin tekstileima ja koristeeksi nappi ja vähän narua. Sinisessä kortissa tuo liukuvärjäys näkyy ehkä hieman paremmin mutta mielestäni noista tuli varsin hauskoja.

I love the ombré effect I've seen used in stamping on many blogs and I wanted to try my hand at it, too. I chose the Hero Arts stamp 'Winter Trees' and inked it with three different Hero Arts Shadow Inks: the pink one is inked with Soft Pink - Bubblegum Pink - Pale Tomato and the blue with Soft Pool - Tide Pool - Pool. I stamped the card base with Hero Arts 'Tweed Pattern' background stamp and some HA ink. The sentiment says 'Christmas Joy' and is stamped on a vellum banner. As embellies there are a button and some paper twine. The blue card may show the ombré effect a bit better but I think the cards turned out quite fun and modern.
