Wreath for Christmas - Kranssi jouluksi

Once again I decided to make a Christmas card with a non-Christmas stamp, simply because I wanted to colour this image :) Also I think she looks quite festive and her wreath looks like it could be a gift so I think she fits well for the job. The image is Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath by Stamping Bella and I coloured the image with my Copic markers. I also added a bit of Stickles glitter glue to the yellow flowers in the wreath. I die cut the glittery gold frame with an MFT die and the word die is by Penny Black, as is the heat embossed part of the sentiment. I added a bit of vellum behind the frame. For the background, I chose patterned paper with some festive ligths. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tein taas joulukortin ei-jouluisella leimalla. Tämä on Stamping Bellan Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath, väritin sen Copiceilla ja lisäsin Sticklesiä keltaisiin kukkiin. Kehyksen stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla, sanan Penny Blackin stanssilla ja loput tekstistä embossasin kullalla (leima Penny Blackin). Kehyksen taakse vähän vellumia ja kuviopaperiin kiinni. Lopuksi muutama enamel dots koristeeksi.

Penguins - Pingviinit

Here are the Christmas cards I made with MFT's Sweet Holiday Penguins set. I have a thing for penguins and these are just so very cute! For all of the cards, I coloured the images with my Copics and used dies by Penny Black, except for the banner which is an MFT die. The sentiment in all of the says 'Christmas Joy' in Finnish.

Snowy village - Luminen kylä

A snowy little village for Christmas :) For this Christmas card, I used the little village from Ready, Set, Snow stamp set by Lawn Fawn which I coloured with my Copics. I created a window by die cutting the white panel with an MFT die and adhering blue cardstock behind it. I then attached the village in place and added falling snow with my white gel pen. I stamped my sentiment (which says 'Merry Christmas') before adhering the panel onto my card base.

Tähän joulukorttiin pääsi luminen kylä Lawn Fawnin setistä Ready, Set, Snow. Väritin sen Copiceilla. Ikkunan stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja kiinnitin sen taakse sinistä kartonkia, johon lisäsin lumisadetta valkoisella geelikynällä. Sitten kiinnitin kylän paikoilleen ja leimasin tekstileiman ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

Sending Sunshine - Auringonpaistetta lähettämässä

I played with my new stamps today and made this card. It turned out a bit summery but I for one miss summer already so a bit of sunshine-y happiness won't go amiss! The stamp set I used is Sunflower Sweetheart by My Favorite Things. I coloured the images with my Copics and die cut them out. I die cut the frame with MFT's Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames die and placed some patterned paper behind it before stamping the sentiment. I added a bit of twine in a bow as embellishment before adhering the panel onto cardbase.

Tämä kortti syntyi tänään uusilla leimoillani. Hieman kesäinenhän se on, mutta itse ainakin kaipaan jo kesää niin, että tällainen aurinkoinen kortti on tarpeen! Käyttämäni leimat ovat MFT:n Sunflower Sweetheart -setistä, väritin ne Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Reunus on myös MFT:n stanssilla stanssattu. Koristeeksi laitoin hieman nyöriä ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan. 

The Flower Challenge #36: Reminder - Muistutus

We're midway through our September challenge at The Flower Challenge with the theme of Anything Goes. This month we're sponsored by My Favorite Things who will kindly give our winners (yes, we'll have TWO winners!) a gift card of USD 25 each. As a Guest Designer, we have the incredibly talented Michele Ferguson.

I used the pretty Wildflowers set by MFT for my card. I stamped and die cut the images before colouring them with my Copic markers. I then cut my panel and die cut the openings to it as well as to a piece of craft foam that I adhered behind the panel. After I had adhered the panel to the card base, I adhered the flower and the leaf to their places with some liquid glue. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Geometric Greenery set and adhered the sentiment strip in place.

The Flower Challenge #36

It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge and this month it's an easy one - Anything Goes! And September is a fabulous month as we are sponsored by My Favorite Things who are so generous as to provide two prizes for our winners! Yes, two winners and each will get USD 25 gift card for MFT - how fab is that!? As our Guest Designer we have the funny and very talented Michele Ferguson.

For my DT card, I used the gorgeous Fresh-Cut Flowers Background by MFT, it's such a beautiful floral image. I heat embossed it in white and watercoloured the image. I then sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the edges of the panel before die cutting and adhering the frame (it's die cut with MFT's Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frame). I stamped my sentiment on the panel, it says 'Congrats'. I folded my card base out of pink card stock and stamped it with Typewriter Text Background stamp (although you can barely see it from behind the panel..) before adhering the panel to it. Lastly, I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

Congratulations - Onnittelut

I had a play with my new Altenew stamps. I really like this floral stamp, it's from the Weekend Doodles set. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and die cut it. I folded my card base out of white linen textured cardstock, die cut a circle frame with an MFT die and adhered it to the cardbase. I added a strip of black cardstock where I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'Congratulations') and adhered everything in place (I adhered the floral image with foam adhesives to give it a bit more interest). Lastly, I embellished my card with black enamel dots.

Inkspirational Challenges: Guest Designer

I'm very lucky to be guest designing for Inkspirational Challenges this month and now it's time for the 3rd challenge of the month and at the same time my last card as a Guest Designer. The theme is 'Designer's Choice' and this time it is '3 or 5 of something'.

If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen these stamped images before - I coloured them for The 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin (aka The Daily Marker) and as there are 3 of the stamped images, I thought they were perfect for this challenge! The images are from 'Wildflowers' set by MFT, I coloured them with my Copics and die cut them out. I die cut the frame with an MFT die and adhered it straight to the card base. I heat embossed my sentiment (Finnish for "Birthday Wishes") on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place after I had adhered the flowers and leaves. I embellished my card with sequins (3 of them!).

Time Out Challenges: Guest Designer

 

I am so honoured to be the Guest Designer for Time Out Challenges for the coming forthnight, thank  you so very much for having me, ladies! The theme for the challenge is a funny one ;) as Time Out challenges you to be funny :)

I had a look at my stamps and thought that this little fella has the funniest look on his face. He's from the Polynesian Paradise set by My Favorite Things. I coloured him and the little flowers with my Copic markers and die cut them out. I then die cut the background with a Create a Smile die and stamped the sentiment from the Polynesian Paradise set before adhering the panel onto a card base that I folded from yellow cardstock. I then adhered the little fella in place - I think he likes to laze around on the flowers :)

The Flower Challenge #29

The Flower Challengessä pyörähtää käyntiin uusi haaste ja tällä kertaa toivomme kukkakorttia, jonka olet tehnyt uusimmalla leimallasi tai stanssillasi. Yksi uusimpia leimojani on Hero Artsin Nasturtium, jota päätin käyttää tähän korttiin. Väritin leimakuvan Polychromos-kynillä, taustaan leimasin MFT:n Typewriter Text Background -leimalla ja Versamark-musteella ja kehykset stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla.

A new challenge starts at The Flower Challenge and this time we're hoping for cards made with your latest floral stamps or dies. One of my latest stamps is 'Nasturtium' by Hero Arts and I used it for my DT card. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils. For the background, I stamped 'Typewriter Text Background' stamp by My Favorite Things with Versamark ink and die cut the frame with 'Stitched Stackers' die  by Penny Black.

Purkillinen sydämiä - Mason jar of hearts

Jokusen haasteen innoittamana syntyi tämä kortti. Leimakuva on Stamping Bellan Mason Jar of Hearts, jonka väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle Lili of the Valleyn kuviopaperia ja MFT:n stanssilla stanssattu boordi. Lisäksi paljetteja.

I was inspired by a few challenges and made this Valentine's card. The stamped image is 'Mason Jar of Hearts' by Stamping Bella. I coloured it with my Altenew watercolours and fussy cut it out. For the background I used some patterned papers by Lili of the Valley die cut with MFT's stitched edge die and a border (die cut with an MFT die as well). Added some sequins to finish the card.

6-vuotiaalleni - For my 6-year-old

Nuorimmainen täytti kuluneella viikolla 6 vuotta ja tein hänelle tällaiset kortit. Ensimmäisen kortin annoimme me ja toisen isovanhempansa. Ensimmäisessä on leimakuvana Tiddly Inksin poika setistä My Super Boy. Väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Taustan siniseen paperiin ja vihreään banneriin leimasin Neat and Tangledin Time Warp -leimalla, lisäksi hieman mustaa kartonkia, kuviopaperia ja tähtikoriste.

My youngest son turned 6 this past week and I made him these cards. We gave him the first card and his grandparents gave him the second one. For the first card I used the cute boy from the set 'My Super Boy' by Tiddly Inks. I coloured him with my Copics and fussy cut him out. I attached him with foam adhesives. I stamped the blue paper and the green banner with 'Time Warp' stamp by Neat and Tangled, used a bit of black cardstock, some patterned paper and a star brad to finish the card. 

Toiseen korttiin käytin High Hopesin Sir Dustin -leimaa, jonka väritin myös Copiceilla, stanssasin MFT:n stansseilla ja kerrostin siniselle kartongille. Taustalle kuviopaperia ja ainoaksi koristeeksi iso Tim Holtzin stanssilla stanssattu kutonen.

For the second card I used a stamp called 'Sir Dustin' by High Hopes. I coloured it with my Copics, die cut with an MFT die and matted it onto some blue cardstock. For the background I used a bit of patterned paper and finished the card with a big die cut 6.

Pingviinejä - Penguins

Tein kaikki nämä kolme korttia samalla kaavalla, mutta sentään eri pingviineillä. Pingviinit ovat siis My Favorite Thingsin Sweet Holiday Penguins -setistä ja Altenew'n vesiväreillä väritetyt. Taustan kehyksen ja bannerin stanssasin niin ikään MFT:n stansseilla. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja muutama enamel dotsi koristeeksi.

Made these three Christmas cards with the cutest penguins around, I just love these penguins! They're from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things, I coloured them with my Altenew watercolours. I used MFT dies to cut the frames and the banners, and used some patterned papers for the backgrounds and some enamel dots as embellishments.

Another penguin at large! This cutie is from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things and coloured with watercolours. I die cut the circle in the red panel with a Memory Box die and adhered the panel and the penguin with foam adhesives. I then heat embossed the sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year') with white embossing powder.

Lahjapingviini - Penguin with gifts

Lisää jouluisia pingviinejä, tällä kertaa lahjojen kera! Stanssailin MFT:n pingiivinin taustaksi lumikinoksia ja kuusen ja leimasin tekstin. Pingun väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla koholle. Taustalla hieman kuviopaperia.

I love the Christmas penguins by MFT! This Christmas card features a penguin carrying gifts, just the cutest ever! I coloured him with my Altenew watercolours and attached him with some foam adhesives. For the background I used some patterned paper and die cut a snowy bank and a tree. The sentiment says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish.

Joulupingviini - Christmas penguin

Tämä on kiireisin syksy hetkeen, joten en ole oikein edes joulukortteja ehtinyt tehdä. Eilen kuitenkin sain tehtyä jokusen ja tässä niistä ensimmäinen näytille. Käytin tähän MFT:n ihanaa joulupingviiniä, jonka väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Taustalla Papertrey Inkin stanssilla stanssattu kuvio, kuviopaperia ja nyöriä. Lisäksi tekstileima.

I've been so busy this autumn that I haven't even had a chance to make as many Christmas cards as I'd need. Yesterday, however, I made a few and here's the first one. The cutest of the cute penguin is a stamp by MFT, I coloured the penguin with my Altenew watercolours. I placed him on a die cut that I cut with a Papertrey Ink die. I added a bit of patterned paper, some twine and the sentiment (it says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish).

Jääkarhu - Polar Bear

Tämän joulukortin tein MFT:n luonnoshaasteeseen. Jääkarhu on MFT:n Polar Bear Pals -setistä ja Altenew'n vesiväreillä väritetty. Taustalle mustetin ympyrän Distress Inkillä ja tekstileiman embossasin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin. Seuraksi vähän kuviopaperia ja enamel dotseja.

I made this Christmas card for the MFT sketch challenge. I used the cute polar bear from the 'Polar Bear Pals' set by MFT and watercoloured him with my Altenew watercolours. I sponged some Distress Ink to the cardstock to create the circle behind the polar bear. I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with an MFT die. Lastly I added a bit of patterned paper and some enamel dots to the card.

Halauksin - Hugs

Vähän syksyisempi kortti tällä kertaa. Leimakuvana tässä on Purple Onion Designsin Elliott, jonka leimasin Paper Smoochesin stanssilla stanssattuun paneeliin ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Lehtioksa on Penny Blackin stanssi ja samoin tekstileima on Pennyä. Taustalla on Lili of the Valley'n kuviopaperia, jonka stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Koristeiksi laitoin hieman nyöriä, enamel dotseja ja vesiväriroiskeita.

I made my first autumn card for this year. I used 'Elliott' by Purple Onion Designs in it, I stamped him on watercolour paper panel that I die cut with a Paper Smooches die and coloured him with my Altenew watercolours. The branch is die cut with a Penny Black die, and the sentiment is by Penny Black too. I die cut the background paper (by Lili of the Valley) with a die by My Favorite Things. As embellishments, I used a bit of twine, some enamel dots and few splatters of watercolour.

Leijaa lennättämässä - Kite flying

Unohdin postata tämän toisen synttärikortin, jonka veljenpojalleni tein (ensimmäinen oli siis tämä). Tämän hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa, joten ajattelin tehdä siitä hieman perinteisemmän. Leimakuva on Docraftsin Kite Flying, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Lisäksi korttiin laitoin vain nuo Memory Boxin stansseilla stanssatut numerot.

I made another birthday card for my nephew but forgot to post it, so here it is (this is the first one). This was given to him by his grandparents so I thought I'd make it a bit more traditional looking. The stamped image is 'Kite Flying' by Docrafts and I coloured it with my Zig Markers before die cutting the panel with a My Favorite Things die. I added the numbers die cut with Memory Box dies before attaching the panel to the card base.

My Favorite Thingsillä on meneillään 2018 Card Design Superstar -kilpailu, johon minäkin uskaltauduin tekemään kortin. Osallistun tällä Clean & Simple Genius -sarjaan. Käytin tähän Strike Up the Band -setistä tekstileimaa ja soittajapupua, jonka väritin vesiväreillä. Pupun leimasin kävelemään tekstileimaa pitkin ja pupun vanaveteen roiskin hieman kultasuihketta vesivärisiveltimellä. Paneelin stanssasin Stitched Rectangle Stax -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin tummanruskeaan korttipohjaan.

My Favorite Things is running the contest 2018 Card Design Superstar and I braved myself to enter the Clean & Simple Genius category with this card. I used the sentiment and the bunny from the 'Strike Up the Band' set, and stamped the bunny so that he is walking on the sentiment. I coloured the bunny with watercolours and added some splatters with gold spray using my watercolour brush. I die cut the panel with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Stax set and adhered it to dark brown card base.
