Penny Black Dreaming: A Big Hug #2

Remember the party animal card I made earlier? Well, I just had to make another card with the same bear where he is actually doing what he does best, sending a hug :) This stamp is called A Big Hug and it's from the newest collection by Penny Black. I stamped him onto some X-Press It blending card and coloured with my Copics. I then die cut the panel using a die from the Stitched Nested Frames set and after I had die cut it, I left the die in place. I then sponged a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen onto the panel so that the die created a white border around the panel. Then I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the new Huggable sentiment set, the heart is from the same set. For the background, I used some patterned paper from Summertime paper pad.

Tein toisenkin kortin tällä söpöllä nallukalla (ensimmäinen oli tämä). Leiman nimi on A Big Hug, väritin sen tällä kertaa Copiceilla. Paneelin stanssasin Stitched Nested Frames -setin stanssilla ja jätin stanssin paikalleen siksi aikaa, että mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteella - stanssi jättää kivan valkoisen reunuksen paneelin ympärille. Tekstileima on uudesta Huggable -tekstileimasetistä, samoin kuin sydän. Taustalle laitoin paperia Summertime-paperikosta. Kaikki tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackia ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Dreaming: Tea Party

This turned out to be a very CAS card :) Just simple stamping and a bit of watercolouring, that's it! I folded my card base out of watercolour card stock, stamped the image using a stamp from the new Penny Black set called Tea Party and then the sentiment from the set It's Your Day, watercoloured the image and rounded the upper corners with my corner chomper. And the card was done!

Tästä kortista tuli melko yksinkertainen, vähän leimailua ja vesiväritystä ja se oli siinä! :) Korttipohja on vesivärikartongista taiteltu, siihen leimasin kuppikakut Penny Blackin uudella leimalla setistä Tea Party ja vesiväritin. Tekstileima on setistä It's Your Day. Kortin yläkulmat pyöristin corner chomperilla. Käyttämäni tuotteet on Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Dreaming: Pawsome Present

Today I have a clean and simple one layer card to show you using some of the new stamps from the new Penny Black release called Dreaming. This cute bear is from the mini stamp set called Pawsome Present and I think he is just so adorable with his big bow. To make this card, I folded a card base out of Copic friendly cardstock and stamped my bear onto it. I coloured him with my Copics and added just a little coloured pencil to darken some of the shadow areas. Then I masked him and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage to create the colour panel behind him. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment which is from the new sentiment set called Beautiful Heart.

Uusi kortti uusilla Penny Black -tuotteilla :) Tästä tuli hyvin CAS, käytin siihen uutta suloista nallukkaa setistä nimeltään Pawsome Present, leimasin sen suoraan korttipohjaan ja väritin Copiceilla. Värityksen jälkeen maskasin sen ja mustetin taustalle paneelin Distress Oxide -musteella Bundled Sage. Lopuksi leimasin tekstileiman, joka on uudesta setistä Beautiful Heart. Penny Black Dreaming: A Big Hug

Penny Black has a new release of sweet stamps and dies out now called Dreaming and I'm sharing a card I made with some of the new products. This  sweetie pie of a bear is a stamp called A Big Hug and it comes with a matching die, A Big Hug Cut Out. I coloured him with my watercolours but instead of being ready to give a hug, my bear is ready to celebrate and he is carrying a garland of stars! I die cut the garland with a die called String of Stars, the garland is actually longer but I cut it to size with my scissors. The sentiment is from a new set called Beautiful Heart, I stamped it onto a note pad page die cut with Just a Note die set, the little clip holding the page is from the same set. The heart stamp is from a new sentiment set called Huggable. And of course, I had to use a frame in my card :) That frame is die cut with a new set of dies called Leaf Stitched Frames.

Penny Blackiltä on tullut uusi kokoelma leimasimia ja stansseja, kokoelman nimi on Dreaming ja tässä ensimmäinen korttini uusilla tuotteilla. Tämä ihana nallukka on leima nimeltään A Big Hug ja vaikka se on valmiina halaamaan, laitoin minä sen kantamaan tähtinauhaa :) Tähtinauhan stanssasin stanssilla nimeltään String of Stars, se on oikeasti pidempi mutta leikkasin sen saksilla sopimaan nallukan käsiin. Tekstileiman, joka on Beautiful Heart -setistä, leimasin lehtiön sivulle, jonka stanssasin Just a Note -setin stanssilla, nipsu on samasta setistä. AAA Birthday: July - Heinäkuu

It's a brand new month and a brand new challenge over at AAA Birthday! This month we're asking you to make birthday cards for the girls. We also have a Guest Designer, the fabulously talented Michelle Lupton, taking part this month. Please be sure to check out her beautiful card!

For my DT card, I used Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lilac by Stamping Bella. She's so dainty and pretty, perfect for a girl! I stamped her onto X-Press It blending card and coloured her with my Copics. I die cut the panel using Stitched Stackers die by Penny Black. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Birthday Wishes' in Finnish) onto a strip of vellum and embellished it with a tiny tag and a bow of string. I used a piece of patterned paper for the background.

Time Out Challenges: Guest Designer

It's my second post as the Guest Designer for Time Out Challenges. This time Time Out challenges us to be funny :)

For my card, I used the parachuting mouse from the Penny Black set It's Your Day. I think he's funny in a very cute manner! I coloured him with my Zig markers and die cut him out. I then die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die, I actually die cut several hellos so that I could stack them all on top of each other. The frame is die cut with dies from Stitched Nested Frames set by Penny Black, and for the background I used some pretty patterned paper. I also added a few clear sequins as embellishments.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Guest Designer

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge where I'm guest designing this month. The theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Partial Stamping.

For my card I used a stamp from the Penny Black set Flower Fantasy. I die cut the panel with a Penny Black die from the set Swirly Stitches and stamped the flower on it partially four times before watercolouring them. I also added a few watercolour splashes here and there before I stamped the sentiment from the set Special Sentiments. Then I matted the panel onto some dark blue cardstock before adhering it onto light blue cardbase.

Inkspirational Challenges: Guest Designer - Garden

I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Inkspirational Challenges for the  month of June and it's time for the second challenge of the month. It's a lovely challenge with the word prompt of 'Garden'.

There's a reason why I chose this stamp, Penny Black's Unfolding, for the Garden challenge. I'm terrible at identifying flowers but these blooms look like peonies to me and... I will be getting my own flower bed full of peonies soon! Yay! I love peonies and I'm so excited to have some in my garden soon :) And yes, they will be pink ones ;) But as to my card, I stamped the image straight onto Ranger watercolour paper and coloured it with my watercolours. I then sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage onto the bottom of the card. I decided to heat emboss the sentiment (it says, loosely translated, 'Birthday Wishes' in Finnish) in white onto a strip of dark grey cardstock and attached it onto the card.

Kesäkuussa saan olla guest designer Inkspirational Challengesissä ja nyt alkavan haasteen teemana on puutarha. Valitsin tämän leiman (Penny Blackin Unfolding) korttiini, koska nuo kukat muistuttavat pioneja ja minä olen saamassa pionipenkin puutarhaani :) Mutta korttiini siis leimasin Unfolding-leiman suoraan korttipohjaan, jonka taittelin Rangerin vesiväripaperista. Leimakuvan väritin vesiväreillä ja alareunaan mustetin Distress Oxide -mustetta. Tekstileiman embossasin kartonkisuikaleelle ja kiinnitin korttiin.

Penny Black Full Bloom: Golden Dance

I made a CAS card with a stamp from the most recent release by Penny Black. This one is called Golden Dance and it comes with a matching die, Golden Dance Cut Out. I stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured it with Gansai Tambi watercolours before die cutting it out. I wanted to keep the background simple, so I folded a card base from Neenah cardstock and did a bit of masking and ink blending. I die cut the white burlap strip with a die called Burlap Edge, adhered it and stamped the sentiment (it's from It's Your Day set). Lastly, I adhered the floral image with foam adhesives. Quick and simple! :)

AAA Birthday Design Team!

I have such exciting news to share today! I am joining the AAA Birthday Design Team! Woop woop! I'm so happy to join the wonderful DT, this is going to be so very exciting! Thank you so much, ladies at AAA Birthday, for selecting me!

There's a new blog post up today at AAA Birthday that introduces some of the new DT members (including myself) with our DT cards for the current 'Watercolour' challenge. Below you'll see the card that I made. I think it's a very typical card of mine with a floral image (I love floral images!), watercolouring (perhaps my most favourite method of colouring), the colour pink (one of my fave colours), a frame (I seem to have a tendency to use frames in my cards a lot for some odd reason..), patterned papers (something I can't seem to make a card without), clear sequins (probably my most used embellishment) and leaning towards CAS style. So, in short, it's a very Milla-esque card! :)

And if you're interested in the details of the card, here comes: The stamped image is Mondo Sakura from Ellen Hutson coloured with Altenew watercolours. The frame is die cut with Penny Black dies from the set Stitched Stackers and the sentiment is by Penny Black also (from the set Snippets).

Penny Black Full Bloom: Berry Fairy

The weather is gorgeous in my part of the world at the moment - the sun is shining and it's around 22 degrees of Celsius - so I thought this summery card would be perfect to share :) This stamp is from the latest release by Penny Black and it's called Berry Fairy. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and die cut the panel with a die from the set Stitched Stackers. The sentiment is from the set Happy Snippets and the patterned paper in the background is from the paper pad Beau Jardins. I embellished the card with leaves die cut with a die from the set Leaves.

The Flower Challenge #33

We have a new challenge starting over at The Flower Challenge and this time we're focusing on background stamping. And there's a prize to be won too! Deepti Malik, who is our fabulous Guest Designer, will be giving one of her floral stamp sets for the winner.

For my DT card, I used a stamp from Altenew's Golden Garden set which I stamped randomly on white cardstock with Memento Toffee Crunch ink. I then die cut the panel with Penny Black's Swirly Stitches die and also die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die and adhered it to place. I matted the panel onto darker brown cardstock before adhering it to card base.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Guest Designer

I have the absolute honour of being a Guest Designer for Penny Black Saturday Challenge for the month of June, thank you so much for having me! This month the challenge is 'Anything Goes, optional Partial Stamping'. So anything Penny Black goes but if you want a bit of extra challenge, you can go for partial stamping (that is when you use only a part of a stamp in your project, not the whole stamp).

I opted for partial stamping in my card. The stamp I used is Friendship by Penny Black and I only used one of the dogs in my card (you can see the whole stamp used in this card). I stamped the dog and die cut it using the matching die. I then coloured him with my Copics. I wanted him to peek from behind something so I die cut a couple of notepad pages to place in front of him (now I know a dog that size might not actually fit behind notepad pages but just humour me and pretend that he can ;) ). For the notepad pages and the little pin holding them, I used Just a Note dies by Penny Black. The sentiment is from Grateful Sentiments set by Penny Black. I die cut the cork panel with Stitched Nested Frames die as I did the patterned paper from the paper pad Summertime. I then attached everything in place and embellished the card with a couple of chipboard hearts. Oh, and I placed a piece of adhesive foam tape behind the dog's head - that way his head is a bit raised and it looks like he's really peeking from behind the notepad pages!

Minulla on kunnia olla guest designer toisessakin haasteblogissa kesäkuussa, nimittäin Penny Black Saturday Challengessä. Haasteen aihe on aina Anything Goes Penny Blackin tuotteilla, mutta vaihtoehtoisena haasteena on nyt 'partial stamping', jossa leimakuvasta käytetään vain osaa. Itse käytin Penny Blackin Friendship-leimaa, josta leimasin ja stanssasin yhden koiran (koko leimakuvan näet tästä kortista) ja väritin sen Copiceilla. Koiran eteen stanssasin Just a Note -setin stansseilla pari vihkonsivua ja "kiinnitin" ne pienellä neulalla, jonka myös stanssasin saman setin stanssilla. Tekstileima on Grateful Sentiments -setistä. Taustan korkin ja kuviopaperin stanssasin Stitched Nested Frames -setin stansseilla. Kiinnitin kaiken paikalleen ja koristelin kortin parilla sydämellä. Koiran pään kiinnitin kohotarralla, ajattelin, että sillä tavalla koiran saa näyttämään siltä kuin se oikeasti kurkkaisi sivujen takaa.

Inkspirational Challenges: Guest Designer

I have the honour of being a Guest Designer over at Inkspirational Challenges for the month of June. Thanks so very much, ladies, for having me! The first challenge of the month starts now and it is a photo challenge, please see the inspiration photo below.

I was totally inspired by the bold areas of colour against white in her clothes and started from there. I used stamps by Concord & 9th called Wildflower and first stamped the backside of the floral stamp with different coloured inks and then turned the stamp and stamped the black outlines with the right side of the stamp. I then die cut the panel with a die from the Penny Black set called Stitched Nested Frames. I die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die and stacked a few of them on top of each other to make the sentiment a bit more prominent. And if, by any chance, you're wondering why I have used gray ink in my card, the reason is that I first looked at the inspiration photo on my phone and saw one of the colours as gray. It was only when I uploaded the inspiration photo on my blog that I noticed it is not gray but light blue! Oops! But I think gray goes well with those bold colours too ;)

Minulla on kunnia olla guest designer Inkspirational Challenges -haasteessa kesäkuun ajan. Ensimmäinen haaste alkaa nyt ja se on kuvahaaste, kuva yllä. Itse inspiroiduin noista väriblokeista valkoisella pohjalla ja päätin käyttää niitä kortissani. Harmony - Harmonia

I really enjoyed making this card! The image is gorgeous and I coloured it with my Polychromos pencils - something I really enjoy as it's very slow to do and thus relaxing. The stamp I used is called Harmony by Penny Black, I stamped it with black StazOn ink onto Neenah Desert Storm paper and coloured it with Polychromos coloured pencils. I then stamped the sentiment from Special Sentiments set. I wanted to keep the card very CAS so I didn't add any embellishments.

* CASology: Week 344 - Summer (to me, summer equals flowers :) )

Värikynillä värittäminen on ihanaa, hidasta ja rentouttavaa, ja halusin värittää niillä pitkästä aikaa. Ajattelin, että tämä Penny Blackin Harmony-leima on juuri sopiva tarkoitukseen, joten leimasin sen korttipohjaan ja väritin Polychromoksilla. Tekstileima on Special Sentiments -setistä. Halusin pitää kortin simppelinä, joten en lisännyt siihen koristeita.

Graduation card - Ylioppilaalle

I have a made to order card to share. I was asked to make a graduation card for a young lady graduating from Finnish sixth form college using this exact stamp and lots of rose pink. So here it is! The stamp is Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath by Stamping Bella, I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it out. The frame is die cut using Stitched Stackers dies by Penny Black. For the background, I used patterned papers by Lili of the Valley. I stamped my sentiment on a strip of vellum using Concord&9th alphabet stamps (it says 'Congrats Siiri!' in Finnish) and placed it behind the frame. After adhering everything together, I embellished the card with a few clear sequins. Now I just hope Siiri will like her card :)

Tämän kortin tein tilaustyönä. Minulta tilattiin valmistujaiskortti tulevalle ylioppilaalle tällä leimalla ja roosalla värillä. Leima on Stamping Bellan Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath, väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Kehykset stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -stansseilla. Kuviopaperit ovat Lili of the Valley'ä. Tekstin leimasin Concord&9th:n aakkosilla vellumvyötteelle ja kiinnitin kehyksen taakse. Kun kaikki oli paikoillaan, koristelin kortin kirkkailla paljeteilla. Ja nyt vain toivon, että Siiri pitää kortistaan :)

Penny Black Full Bloom - Friendship

I have a friendship card to share that I made with the new products from the new Penny Black release called Full Bloom. This card uses the sweet doggos from the set Friendship that comes with its matching die, Friendship Cut Out. I stamped the image on X-Press It blending card and coloured it with my Copic markers before die cutting it out. I then die cut the light blue panel with a die from the Stitched Nested Frames set before diecutting an opening to it with the Friendship Cut Out die, I thought the light dent that the die makes on the outside of the opening would give a nice shadow kind of mark around the image, giving it a more 3-D look. I stamped the sentiment from the Friendship set onto a banner that I cut from white cardstock and used the cute paper clip from the Just a Note die set to 'adhere' it. I cut a thin strip of patterned paper from the Wintertime paper pad and adhered it to the side of the panel before adhering the panel to the cardbase. I then adhered the coloured image to its place with foam adhesives and added a few splashes of "water" with clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Nämä kaverukset ovat Penny Blackin uudesta leimasetistä Friendship ja niihin kuuluu stanssikin Friendship Cut Out. Väritin kuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Taustan paneelin stanssasin Stitched Nested Frames -setin stanssilla ja stanssasin siihen myös aukon Friendship Cut Out -stanssilla, ajattelin, että stanssin jättämät painaumat lisäisivät 3-D-fiilistä korttiin. Leimakuvan kiinnitin kohotarrapaloilla. Bannerin leikkasin valkoisesta kartongista ja leimasin siihen tekstin samaisesta leimasetistä, bannerin "kiinnitin" klemmarilla, jonka stanssasin Just a Note -stanssisetin stanssilla. Punavalkoraitainen paperi on Wintertime-paperikosta. Lisäsin korttiin muutaman vesipisaran kirkkaalla Nuvo Crystal Dropsilla.

Penny Black Full Bloom: Blushing

I love this gorgeous flower from the new Full Bloom release by Penny Black! It's called Blushing and it comes with a matching die, Blushing Cut Out. I stamped the flower onto X-Press It blending card, coloured it with my Copic markers and die cut it out. I used the sentiment from the Critter Celebration set and heat embossed it in white onto a strip of black cardstock which I embellished with a bit of string tied into a bow. For the background I added a strip of patterned paper from the paper pad Beau Jardins. I also rounded the upper corners with a corner chomper.

Väritin kukan Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Tekstileima on Critter Celebration -setistä, sen embossasin valkoisella mustalle kartongin palaselle. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Beau Jardins -paperikosta, pyöristin kortin yläkulmat corner chomperilla ja koristin kortin pienellä rusetilla.

Penny Black Full Bloom: You Make the World a Better Place

I love circle cards but don't make them that often for some reason. Now I decided that this cute little mousie deserves her own little circle card! :) So I die cut a circle card base out of card stock, die cut the circle frame with Penny Black's Stitched Square & Circles die and placed a bit of patterned paper from Beau Jardins paper pad underneath the frame. Using the new Just a Note die set, I then die cut the little note pad page out of cream card stock, die cut the ripped edge and also the cute little paper clip (just how cute is that paper clip!). I stamped the sentiment from the new Family Sentiment set onto the note pad page. The mousie is from the new set It's Your Day, I stamped her onto some watercolour paper, coloured with my Zig markers and die cut her out. I then attached everything in place (the mouse is attached with foam adhesives) and added some sequins to embellish the card.

Tein pitkästä aikaa pyöreän kortin. Stanssasin pyöreän korttipohjan, kiinnitin siihen kuviopaperia ja stanssasin kehyksen Penny Blackin Stitched Square & Circles -setin stanssilla. Just a Note -stanssisetillä stanssasin vihkon sivun, siihen revityn reunan ja klemmarin. Leimasin sivuun tekstileimalla Family Sentiment -setistä. Hiirulaisen leimasin It's Your Day -setistä, väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti. Lopuksi vain kiinnitys paikoilleen ja jokunen paljetti koristeeksi.

CAS(E) This Sketch! #322 - Guest Designer

I have the absolute honour of being the Guest Designer over at CAS(E) This Sketch! challenge this week - thanks for having me, ladies! It's CAS(E) This Sketch! #322 and you can see the sketch below. For my card, I used the stamp Bed of Roses by Winnie & Walter, I coloured it with my Copic markers. The sentiment is from the set Snippets by Penny Black and I heat embossed it in white on a strip of black cardstock. I then adhered it to the panel and the panel onto my card base.
