Besties - Parhaat ystikset

I'm taking a break from Christmas cards and decided to make a card with one of my new Stamping Bella stamps. This one is called Besties. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a bit of sparkle to the pink dress with my Gelly Roll pen in gold. The sentiment is a mixture of two brands: the stamped sentiment is by WPlus9 and the die cut sentiment is by Winnie & Walter. I matted the panel onto kraft cardstock and added a bit of patterned paper by Lili of the Valley behind it. To finish the card, I embellished it with sequins.

Tämän nimi on Besties, väritin sen Copiceilla ja lisäsin vähän blingiä pinkkiin mekkoon kultaisella Gelly Roll -kynällä. Teksti on sekoistus kahta eriä: leimattu teksti on WPlus9:ia ja stanssattu on Winnie & Walteria. Kerrostus kraftille ja taustalle Lili of the Valleyn kuviopaperia. Loppusilaus paljeteilla. 

Joulukimppuja - Christmas bouquets

Innostuin värittelemään tätä WPlus9:n Christmas Rose Bouquet -leimakuvaa useamman ja samalla kokeilin eri värikombinaatioita. Muuten tein kortit samalla kaavalla, taustalle kuviopaperia MFT:n ommelreunastanssilla stanssattuna, tekstin stanssasin Heidin Korttipajan stanssilla kultakartongista ja koristeiksi laitoin kultaisia paljetteja (vaikka osa kovin mustilta kuvissa näyttääkin). Väritykset tein Altenew'n vesiväreillä.

The 'Christmas Rose Bouquet' stamp by WPlus9 is a dream to colour so when I had a little time, I coloured several of them, at the same time trying out different colour combinations. Otherwise the cards are of the same mold, I die cut some patterned paper with the stitch edge die by MFT for the background, die cut the sentiment (it says 'Christmas Peace' in Finnish) out of gold cardstock and added some golden sequins as embellishments (they are golden although they look quite black in the photos...). Oh, and I coloured the images with my Altenew watercolours.

Daaliat - Dahlias

WPlus9-kortti tällä kertaa, leimakuvana Beautiful Bouquet: Dahlia. Väritin sen Zigeillä ja mustetin hieman Distress Oxidea reunoihin. Kehystin kuvan MFT:n stanssilla stanssatulla kuviolla, leimasin tekstin, lisäsin paljetit ja ennen korttipohjaan liimaamista lisäsin taustalle Lawn Fawnin paperia.

I love this stamp, it's 'Beautiful Bouquet: Dahlia' by WPlus9. For this card, I coloured it with my Zig markers and sponged some Distress Oxide ink on the edges. I framed the panel with a die cut (MFT), stamped my sentiment ('To a dear friend' in Finnish) and added some clear sequins. Before adhering the panel to the cardbase, I added some Lawn Fawn patterned paper behind it.

Ystävälle - Dear Friend

Tämän ystävänpäiväkortin tein Nonni-ystävälle ja uskallan sen jo näyttää, kun se saapui jo tänään perille. Leimakuvana tässä on Waffle Flowerin ihana karhu pikkupyörineen setistä Happy Day. Väritys taas Zigeillä, vähän geelikynää poskissa ja Nuvo Dropsia kukkien seassa. Taustan paneelin stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja mustetin Distress Oxide -musteella, perään roiskin vähän vettä. Stanssattu teksti on Create a Smilen stanssilla stanssattu ja leimattu teksti on WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setistä. Lisäksi vielä muutama stanssattu sydän (Lawn Fawn) ja korttipohjaan kiinni.

I made this friendship card for my dear friend Nonni, I heard it arrived today so I can show it here. The stamped and die cut image is from the 'Happy Day' set by Waffle Flower (I love it how serene he looks riding his little bike! :) ), I coloured it with my Zig Markers and added a dot of gel pen to his cheeks and tiny drops of Nuvo Drops among the flowers. The pink panel is die cut with a My Favorite Things die and then inked with Distress Oxide. I splashed a few drops of water to it. I added my sentiment, the die cut word is by Create a Smile and the stamped one is from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9. I also added some die cut hearts (Lawn Fawn) to the card.

Anemonet - Anemones

Vuoden ensimmäinen kortti olisi tässä, tehty kukkasilla, jotka väritin reilusti viime vuoden puolella... ;) En silloin oikein tiennyt, mitä niillä tekisin, joten jätin ne pyörimään pöydälle ja nyt tein niillä tämän. En ole ihan varma, olenko tyytyväinen tähän, mutta tällä mennään.. Kukkaset ovat siis WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setistä, väritetty Copiceilla. Dekoretten tekstileima on leimattu My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja tausta ja korttipohja itsessään on stanssattu Spellbindersin stanssilla. Sitten vain jokunen enamel dotsi ja kortti oli valmis.

Here comes my first card for 2018 - made with flowers I coloured last year! ;) I wasn't sure what to do with them then so I left them on my table and now used them for this. Not sure I'm totally happy with this card but it's done now, so I might as well be happy with it.. The flowers are from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 and coloured with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment ('For a friend' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die. I die cut the blue cardstock and the whole card base with Spellbinders dies. As embellishments, I added some enamel dots.

Punainen joulutähti - Red poinsettia

Lisää joulutähtiä! :) Tässä kortissa on aika lailla samat ainekset kuin edellisessäkin, joulutähti, lehdet ja kävyt Winnie and Walterin setistä ja väritys Copiceilla. Stanssattuja höysteitä Simply Graphicilta ja WPlus9:ltä, ja taustan ympyrä ja tekstibanneri My Favorite Thingsin stansseilla stanssattu, tekstileima Heidin Korttipajan. Lisänä kuviopaperia ja paljetteja.

It's another poinsettia from me :) The poinsettia, the leaves and the tree cones come from Winnie and Walter and I coloured them with my Copics. The twigs and branches are die cut with dies from Simply Graphic and WPlus9 and the banner and the circle in the background are die cut with My Favorite Things dies. The sentiment on the banner says 'Merry Christmas'.

Pieni peura - Little fawn

Tähän korttiin käytin WPlus9:n Winter Woodland -settiä ja hieman ei-niin-jouluisia värejä. Leimasin puut MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun kartonkiin ja oksalle istutin punaisen linnun. Peura sai seurakseen vielä niin ikään MFT:n stanssilla stanssatun bannerin, johon leimasin Heidin Korttipajan tekstin. Taustalle vain kuviopaperia ja kortti oli valmis.

For this Christmas card, I used WPlus9's 'Winter Woodland' set and some non-traditional colours. I stamped the trees on a piece of kraft cardstock that I die cut with a My Favorite Things die and placed a tiny red bird on one of the branches. I stamped my sentiment on a banner that I had die cut with a MFT die and placed it partly behind the little fawn. For the background I used some plaid patterned paper.

Soitellen jouluun - Christmas Marching Band

En tiedä, onko soittokunnilla mitään tekemistä joulun kanssa, mutta jostain syystä nämä pienet puput ovat mielestäni niin jouluisia, että joulukorttihan niillä piti tehdä. Stanssasin taustalle kuviopapereita Hero Artsin ja WPlus9:n stansseilla ja Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman leimasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin. Puput ovat My Favorite Thingsin Strike Up the Band -setistä, väritin ne Copiceilla.

I'm not sure if marching bands have anything to do with Christmas (probably not :D ) but to me these little critters are very Christmassy so I had to make a Christmas card with them. The adorable little bunnies come from the 'Strike Up the Band' set by My Favorite Things and I coloured them with my Copics. For the background I die cut some pretty patterned papers with some Hero Arts and WPlus9 dies. The sentiment says 'Merry Christmas' and I stamped it on a banner die cut with a MFT die and added a twine bow to it.

Kranssi - Wreath

Näin joku aika sitten Jennifer McGuiren blogissa tällä partial die cutting -tekniikalla tehdyn kortin ja päätin koittaa itse samaa. Käytin tässä WPlus9:n Woodland Wreaths -leimoja ja stansseja ja Hero Artsin musteita. Taustapaperi on Simple Storiesin ja tekstileima Heidin Korttipajan. Koristeita en tähän laittanut, koska halusin tästä simppelin ja helposti postitettavan.

Some time ago I saw a card on Jennifer McGuire's blog that she had made with a partial die cutting technique. It looked so nice that I wanted to try one myself. I used stamps and dies by WPlus9, the set is called 'Woodland Wreaths', and some Hero Arts inks. The background paper is by Simple Stories. The sentiment says 'Merry Christmas and Happy New Year' in Finnish. I didn't use any embellishments in my card as I wanted it to be quite CAS and easy to post.

Halauksia ja iloisia aatoksia - Hugs and happy thoughts

Ulkona on sateista ja harmaata, joten ankeutta piristämään näytille nyt kukkakortti, jonka tein tädilleni. Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setin kukkia, jotka väritin Copiceilla. Osan kukista kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle. Taustalle stanssasin aukot Memory Boxin stanssilla ja leimasin Altenew'n tekstileiman. Koristeiksi laitoin muutaman tipan Nuvo Dropsia.

It's grey and rainy outside so I thought I'd try and brighten the day by showing you a flower card I made for my aunt. I chose to use the flowers from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 which I coloured with my Copics. I attached some of the flowers with foam adhesives for a bit of 3D effect. I die cut the background with a Memory Box die and stamped the Altenew sentiment in black. Lastly, I added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Amaryllikset - Amaryllis

Taas joulukortti ja taas amarylliksiä, tällä kertaa WPlus9:n setistä. Väritin nämä amaryllikset Copiceilla, stanssasin ja mustetin reunat. Kerrostin kartongille ja kuviopaperille ja lisäsin Dekoretten tekstileiman. Simppeliä! :)

Another quite simple Christmas card. The stamped image is from the 'Amaryllis' set by WPlus9 which I coloured with my Copics and die cut out. Then I sponged some Distress Ink to the edges. I layered the image on some cardstock, added some patterned papers and a sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year' in Finnish) and that was it :)

Heipat heiluttaen - Waving hello

Tein synttärikortin pojalle tämänviikkoisen Mojo Monday -haasteluonnoksen mukaan. Leimakuva on Tiddly Inksiä Copiceilla väritettynä ja Simonin ommelreunastanssilla stanssattuna. Taustapaperia stanssasin WPlus9:n stanssilla ja tähdet Lawn Fawnin tähtistansseilla. Paperit taitavat olla sekalaista seurakuntaa.

I made this birthday card for a boy following the sketch over at Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge. I used a Tiddly Inks stamp and coloured the image with my Copics (still practicing with them so don't look too closely... ;) ). The stitched edge dies I used to die cut the image and the green patterned paper are by Simon Says Stamp, and I used a die by WPlus9 to die cut the little gap in the background paper. The stars are die cut with Lawn Fawn dies, and the numbers with a Tim Holtz die (lots of die cutting going on in this card! :) ).

Anopillani on tässä kuussa synttärit ja tämä kortti juhlistaa hänen pyöreitä vuosiaan. Käytin korttiin Altenew'n ihanaa magnoliaa, jonka embossasin kullalla, vesiväritin Distress Inkeillä ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Paperit ovat Lili of the Valley'ä, ympyrä on stanssattu Simonin stanssilla ja tuo kaareva reuna WPlus9:n Landscape Borders -setin stanssilla. Numerot ja teksti ovat ääriviivatarroja ja koristeina on muutama pieni paljetti.

My mother-in-law turns 70 this month and this card celebrates that. The gorgeous flower is stamped with a stamp from Altenew's Magnolias for Her set and heat embossed in gold. I fussy cut it, watercoloured with Distress Inks and attached with foam adhesives for a little dimension. The patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley, and there's some glittery gold cardstock for added sparkle. The circle is die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die and the rounded edge of the panel is die cut with a die from WPlus9 set 'Landscape Borders'. The numbers and the sentiment (it says 'congrats' in Finnish) are stickers and as embellies, there are some tiny sequins.

Ystäväni täyttää tänään 40 ja tein hänelle tällaisen onnittelukortin. Yleensä en käytä tällaisia lapsihahmoisia leimoja aikuisten kortteihin, mutta tällä kertaa tein poikkeuksen, koska tämä pieni keijusiipinen typykkä jotenkin muistuttaa minua ystävästäni :) Typykän väritin Distress Markereilla ja -täyttöpulloilla, siipiin ja mekkoon lisäilin vähän kimalletta. Leimakuvan stanssasin Simonin stitched rectangles -setin stanssilla, kuviopaperin kulman taas WPlus9:n Landscape Borders -setin stanssilla ja numerot Timpan stanssilla. Kuviopaperit ovat Lili of the Valleytä, kuten leimakuvakin. Koristeena vain paperikukka ja helmi.

My friend turns 40 today and to congratulate her, I made her this card. Now I don't usually use stamps with child/child-like images for grown ups but this time I made an exception - this little fairy with her little wings just reminds me so much of my friend! :) I coloured the image ('Pom Pom Fairy' by Lili of the Valley) with Distress Markers and refills and added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to her wings and some Stickles to her dress for extra sparkle. I die cut the image using a stitched rectangle die by Simon Says Stamp. I also used 'Landscape Borders' die by WPlus9 to die cut the corner of the patterned paper and a Tim Holtz die to die cut the numbers. The patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley as well. As embellies, there's just a paper flower with a sticky back pearl.

Pionipuketti - Peonies

Pionipukettia näytille :) Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Pretty Peonies -setin leimoja, jotka leimasin Heron musteilla. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä. Lisänä paljetteja ja kerrostus kultakartongille. Siinäpä se! :)

I stamped these flowers with the 'Pretty Peonies' set by WPlus9 using Hero Arts inks. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink. To keep it simple, I only used some sequins as embellies and layered the front panel onto some gold cardstock. That's it! :)

Moro moro - Hello hello hello

Tässä kortissa olen käyttänyt roppakaupalla uusia leimasimia :) Sain Nonnilta joululahjaksi ensimmäiset STAMPlorations-leimani, nuo ihanat lehdet ovat setistä Trendy Leaves. Leimasin ne WPlus9:n stanssilla stanssatulle tagille Heron musteilla ja pienempään tagiin leimasin Papertrey Inkin tekstin Heron musteilla myös. Raitataustan leimasin Simon Says Stampin Wide Stripes Background -leimalla. Koristeiksi laitoin hieman nyöriä ja muutaman pienenpienen paljetin.

I got some new stamps for Christmas (yay, lucky me! :) :) ) that I haven't had the chance to use until now. The lovely Nonni gave me my very first STAMPlorations stamps, the gorgeous leaves I've stamped on the tag are from the 'Trendy Leaves' set. The sentiment, stamped three times on the little tag, is by Papertrey Ink, and the striped background is stamped with a Simon Says Stamp stamp called 'Wide Stripes Backgound'. The tags are die cut with WPlus9 dies, all the inks I've used are by Hero Arts. As embellies there are the tiniest sequins I've ever seen (I found them at a local super market and had to buy them as they were so cute :) ) and some May Arts twine.

Simppeli seppele - Wreath

Tämänkertainen luonnos CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteessa on aika omiaan tälle WPlus9:n Woodland Wreaths -leimasetille, sillä siis mennään. Leimasin valkoiselle tekstuuripintaiselle kartongille seppeleen oksineen ja marjoineen ja alle FinnStamperin tekstileiman. Tekstileima ja marjat on leimattu Encoren kultaisella musteella, seppeleen oksat Distress Inkillä ja havut Heron musteella. Ja siinäpä se, simppelillä linjalla taas :)

The sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge is perfect for the 'Woodland Wreaths' stamp set by WPlus9, so that's what I used for this card. I stamped the wreath on white textured cardstock using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in green, Distress Ink in brown and Encore metallic ink in gold. The sentimet says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish. That's my little CAS card, hope you like it! :)

Unisieppari - Dreamcatcher

Serkkuni täytti vuosia tässä taannoin ja koska tiedän hänen pitävän unisieppareista (aivan kuten minäkin :) ), mikäpä sen parempi aihe korttiin kuin - unisieppari! :) Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Dreamcather-stanssia ja stanssasin osat valkoisesta Papermanian kartongista, sulat toiseen kertaan vellumista. Sulkien kärjet dippasin Ecolinen vesiväriin ja koska kärjistä tuli melko tummat, töpötin niihin päälle hieman Heron valkoista mustetta. Koristeina paljetteja. Taustan tein Dawn Woleslaglen Bokeh made easy -tekniikalla, tosin en käyttänyt vesiväritaustaa kuten Dawn, koska se ei ihan onnistunut (kröhöm...) vaan ihan yksiväristä kuviopaperia. Bokeh-ympyrät tein valkoisella Heron musteella ja pienimmät kirkkaalla Wink of Stellalla. Kiva siitä tuli kuitenkin mutta valitettavasti se ei näin kuvassa näytä ihan yhtä kauniilta kuin livenä :/ Tekstileima on muuten PTI:n.

My cousin celebrated her birthday the other day and I made her a birthday card. She loves dreamcatchers (as do I :) ) so I thought she might like a card with one as well. My dreamcatcher is made with WPlus9's Dreamcatcher die, I die cut all the parts from white Papermania cardstock, and I also die cut the feathers from vellum. I dipped the ends of the feathers in a bottle of Ecoline liquid watercolour and then dapped a little white Hero Arts ink on top because they turned out a bit too dark for my liking. As embellies (or caught dreams ;) ) there are some white sequins. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. I made the background following Dawn Woleslagle's 'Bokeh made easy' tutorial, although I didn't use a watercoloured background as she did (mainly because mine didn't turn out too pretty... ;) ), I just used patterned paper. The bokeh circles are made using white Hero Arts ink and a Wink of Stella brush pen. The background looked really nice but unfortunately, it doesn't look as nice on the photos :/

Joulurauhaa - Christmas peace

Ja taas vaihteeksi joulukorttia näytille, ja mikäli mahdollista, niin entistä simppelimpää sellaista! Eli tässä on Papermanian kartongista tehty korttipohja ja tuo paneeli, lisänä reunassa vähän kuviopaperia. Tekstileima on leimattu Heron musteella (Cup O' Joe) ja nuo oksat stanssattu WPlus9:n Under the Mistletoe -stansseilla. Lisänä vähän narua.

Well whaddaya know, it's a Christmas card again... :D And this time it's really clean and simple, I think. There's just some white Papermania cardstock, a strip of patterned paper, a sentiment stamped with Hero Arts' Cup O' Joe ink (and it says 'Christmas peace' in Finnish), some twine, and a couple of twigs die cut with a WPlus9 die 'Under the Mistletoe'.

Ruusuja, ruusuja - Roses, roses

Kuten aikaisemmin sanoin, tein tädilleni menneitä kortteja yhteensä kolme (meiltä, mummoltani ja äidiltäni), tässä niistä viimeinen. Ruusut ja nuo "koristeoksat" (mitä lienevätkään) on leimattu ja stanssattu WPlus9:n värkeillä ja Heron musteilla, ruusuihin myös embossasin kullalla (se näyttää vain melko tummalta tuossa kuvassa). Tekstileima on FinnStamperia, banneri on stanssattu My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Lisäksi hieman kuviopaperia ja ääriviivanumerot.

As I said earlier, I made three cards for my aunt, (one from us, one for my Grandma to give to her, and one for my Mum to give to her), this is the last one. The roses and the branches are die cut and stamped with WPlus9 stamps and dies and some Hero Arts inks. I also heat embossed parts of the roses with gold powder (it looks a bit dark on the photo though). The sentiment says something like 'Heartfelt congratulations' in Finnish and it's stamped on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die. The numbers are peel-off stickers.
