Besties - Parhaat ystikset

I'm taking a break from Christmas cards and decided to make a card with one of my new Stamping Bella stamps. This one is called Besties. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a bit of sparkle to the pink dress with my Gelly Roll pen in gold. The sentiment is a mixture of two brands: the stamped sentiment is by WPlus9 and the die cut sentiment is by Winnie & Walter. I matted the panel onto kraft cardstock and added a bit of patterned paper by Lili of the Valley behind it. To finish the card, I embellished it with sequins.

Hieman taukoa joulukortteiluun ja jotain muuta välillä. Tämän tein uudella Stamping Bella -leimallani. Tämän nimi on Besties, väritin sen Copiceilla ja lisäsin vähän blingiä pinkkiin mekkoon kultaisella Gelly Roll -kynällä. Teksti on sekoistus kahta eriä: leimattu teksti on WPlus9:ia ja stanssattu on Winnie & Walteria. Kerrostus kraftille ja taustalle Lili of the Valleyn kuviopaperia. Loppusilaus paljeteilla. 

Cats - Kissat

Let's face it - colouring animals is definitely not my forté! LOL! But I do love this stamp by Stamping Bella :) It's called Squishy Cats and I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut the part beneath the cats off. I replaced it with some patterned paper and added a die cut sentiment by Winnie and Walter. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Eläinten värittäminen ei ole vahvin lajini, mutta tämä Stamping Bellan Squishy Cats on niin ihana, että pakkohan sitä oli yrittää! Väritin kissakasan Copiceilla ja leikkasin alareunaa pitkin irti. Lisäsin hieman kuviopaperia, Winnie and Walterin stanssilla stanssatun tekstin ja enamel dotseja.

Time Out Challenges: Guest Designer

It's my second post as the Guest Designer for Time Out Challenges. This time Time Out challenges us to be funny :)

For my card, I used the parachuting mouse from the Penny Black set It's Your Day. I think he's funny in a very cute manner! I coloured him with my Zig markers and die cut him out. I then die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die, I actually die cut several hellos so that I could stack them all on top of each other. The frame is die cut with dies from Stitched Nested Frames set by Penny Black, and for the background I used some pretty patterned paper. I also added a few clear sequins as embellishments.

Olen Guest Designerina Time Out Challengesissä, jossa haasteena on olla hauska. Omaan korttiini käytin laskuvarjoilevaa hiirtä Penny Blackin setistä It's Your Day, väritin sen Zigeillä. Tekstin stanssasin Winnie & Walterin stanssilla, stanssasin niitä muutaman ja kiinnitin ne päällekkäin. Kehys on stanssattu Penny Blackin stansseilla Stitched Nested Frames -setistä, taustalla on kuviopaperia ja muutama kirkas paljetti koristeena.

The Flower Challenge #33

We have a new challenge starting over at The Flower Challenge and this time we're focusing on background stamping. And there's a prize to be won too! Deepti Malik, who is our fabulous Guest Designer, will be giving one of her floral stamp sets for the winner.

For my DT card, I used a stamp from Altenew's Golden Garden set which I stamped randomly on white cardstock with Memento Toffee Crunch ink. I then die cut the panel with Penny Black's Swirly Stitches die and also die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die and adhered it to place. I matted the panel onto darker brown cardstock before adhering it to card base.

The Flower Challengessä alkaa uusi haaste ja nyt keskitymme taustan leimaamiseen. Voittajalle on luvassa palkinto, sillä guest designerimme Deepti Malik antaa voittajalle leimasetin.

Inkspirational Challenges: Guest Designer

I have the honour of being a Guest Designer over at Inkspirational Challenges for the month of June. Thanks so very much, ladies, for having me! The first challenge of the month starts now and it is a photo challenge, please see the inspiration photo below.

I was totally inspired by the bold areas of colour against white in her clothes and started from there. I used stamps by Concord & 9th called Wildflower and first stamped the backside of the floral stamp with different coloured inks and then turned the stamp and stamped the black outlines with the right side of the stamp. I then die cut the panel with a die from the Penny Black set called Stitched Nested Frames. I die cut the sentiment with a Winnie & Walter die and stacked a few of them on top of each other to make the sentiment a bit more prominent. And if, by any chance, you're wondering why I have used gray ink in my card, the reason is that I first looked at the inspiration photo on my phone and saw one of the colours as gray. It was only when I uploaded the inspiration photo on my blog that I noticed it is not gray but light blue! Oops! But I think gray goes well with those bold colours too ;)

Minulla on kunnia olla guest designer Inkspirational Challenges -haasteessa kesäkuun ajan. Ensimmäinen haaste alkaa nyt ja se on kuvahaaste, kuva yllä. Itse inspiroiduin noista väriblokeista valkoisella pohjalla ja päätin käyttää niitä kortissani. Käytin Concord & 9th:n Wildflower-leimoja, leimasin ensin värillisellä musteella käyttäen leiman takapuolta ja sitten käänsin leiman oikein päin ja leimasin mustalla ääriviivat. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Nested Frames -setin stanssilla. Teksti puolestaan on Winnie & Walterin, stanssasin niitä muutaman ja kiinnitin päällekkäin. Vahingossa käytin kortissa myös harmaata... Katsoin inspiraatiokuvaa aluksi puhelimelta ja näin yhden värin harmaana. Vasta, kun latasin kuvan blogiini, huomasin, että se onkin vaaleansininen! Noh, harmaa taitaa sopia noihin väreihin myös... ;)

CAS(E) This Sketch! #322 - Guest Designer

I have the absolute honour of being the Guest Designer over at CAS(E) This Sketch! challenge this week - thanks for having me, ladies! It's CAS(E) This Sketch! #322 and you can see the sketch below. For my card, I used the stamp Bed of Roses by Winnie & Walter, I coloured it with my Copic markers. The sentiment is from the set Snippets by Penny Black and I heat embossed it in white on a strip of black cardstock. I then adhered it to the panel and the panel onto my card base.

Christmas greetings - Joulutervehdys

It's only May and I've made my first Christmas card for this year! That happened mainly because I recently received my new Winnie & Walter stamps, Happy Owlidays, and had to make a card with this cute little bird. I made this by folding a card base out of Copic friendly cardstock and stamping the bird on it. I coloured him with my Copic markers and added little details with white gel pen. Then I masked a square shape behind him and sponged some Distress Oxide ink to it. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Christmas greetings' in Finnish).

Tein ensimmäisen joulukorttini tälle vuodelle! Sain hiljattain uudet Winnie & Walter -leimani, Happy Owlidays, ja pakkohan tällä suloisella linnulla oli tehdä kortti :) Taittelin korttipohjan Copiceille tarkoitetusta kartongista, leimasin linnun ja väritin Copiceilla. Taustalle maskasin ja mustetin neliön. Lopuksi leimasin tekstileiman.

To the graduate - Valmistuneelle

I made this card for a relative who finished his medical school and graduated as a doctor. I thought the occasion called for roses but tried to make the card a bit more masculine with the colour blue. The stamp I used is called Bed of Roses and it is by Winnie and Walter. I coloured the image with my Copic markers, matted it onto black card stock and then adhered it to card base. I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'To the graduate') on a strip of black cardstock.

Tämän kortin tein lääkäriksi valmistuneelle sukulaispojalle. Ajattelin tilaisuuden vaativan ruusuja mutta koitin tehdä kortista vähän miehisemmän sinisellä värillä. Leimakuva on Winnie and Walterin Bed of Roses, jonka väritin Copiceilla, kerrostin mustalle kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Tekstileiman embossasin mustalle kartonkisuikaleelle.

Roses on your special day - Ruusuja merkkipäivänäsi

I decided to play along with a few challenges today and create this floral card. The stamps I've used are by Winnie & Walter, except the sentiment (it says 'On your special day' in Finnish). I did a bit of masking to create the bouquet and then coloured the image with my Copic Markers. I die cut the panel with a Penny Black die from the set Stitched Stackers, and heat embossed my sentiment in white embossing powder. After adhering the panel to red cardbase, I added some clear sequins to embellish it.

Tämä kortti syntyi muutaman haasteen innoittamana. Ruusu-leimat ja lehdet ovat Winnie & Walterin leimoja, maskasin kahta eri kokoa ruusuja kimpuksi ja väritin ne Copiceilla. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin stanssilla setistä Stitched Stackers and tekstin embossasin valkoisella. Kiinnitin paneelin tummanpunaiseen korttipohjaan ja lisäsin muutaman kirkkaan paljetin koristeeksi.

Kolmin kappalein - Three cards

Winnie&Walterilla on meneillään World Cardmaking Day 2018 -haasteet, joihin ajattelin osallistua näillä. Ensimmäinen kortti on ink blending -haasteeseen. Käytin siihen kukkaa In Bloom -sarjan Anna's Flora -setistä ja lehtiä saman sarjan Elsa's Flora -setistä. Mustetin ne Distress Oxide -musteilla ja leikkasin irti. Korttipohjaan mustetin niin ikään Distress Oxidella suorakaiteen ja leimasin tekstileiman. Koristeina muutama kirkas paljetti.

Winnie&Walter are running World Cardmaking Day 2018 challenges and I'm participating with these three cards. The first one is for the Ink Blending challenge. I used the flower from the In Bloom: Anna's Flora set and leaves from the In Bloom: Elsa's Flora set. I blended some Distress Oxide inks on them and fussy cut them out. I created the rectangle on the card base with Distress Oxide as well. Then I stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) and added some clear sequins.

Tämä toinen kortti on Lucky 7 Limit -haasteeseen, jossa sai käyttää yhteensä vain seitsemää "asiaa": leimasettiä, stanssia, väriä.. Käytin tähän oksaa Anna's Flora -setistä ja tekstileimaa Penny Blackiltä. Oksan väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä ja paneelin stanssasin Hero Artsin stanssilla. Lisäksi vain yksi paljetti. Eli yhteensä 2 leimasettiä, yksi stanssi, yksi väri (neutraaleja ei lasketa) ja yksi koriste = 5.

This second card is for the Lucky 7 Limit challenge. For this I used a branch from the Anna's Flora set and sentiment from Penny Black. I coloured the branch with Altenew's watercolours and die cut the panel with a Hero Arts die. As embellishment, there's one clear sequin. So all in all 2 stamp sets, one die, one colour (neutrals don't count) and one embellishment = 5.

Viimeinen kortti on Clean and Simple -haasteeseen. Sitä varten taittelin korttipohjan vesivärikartongista ja leimasin kukan ja varren Anna's Flora -setistä ja väritin ne Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Lisäksi leimasin vain tekstileiman.

The last card is for the Clean and Simple challenge. I folded the card base from watercolour card, stamped the flower and the stem (from Anna's Flora set) and coloured them with Altenew watercolours. Then I stamped my sentiment (again 'Congrats' in Finnish).

Onnea - Congrats

Tähän synttärikorttiin käytin leimoja kahdesta Winnie&Walterin setistä, Elsa's Florasta ja Addie's Gardenista. Maskasin kukat ja lehdet kartongille ja väritin Zigeillä. Tekstin leimailin Concord&9thin Perfectly Penned -setin aakkosilla. Stanssasin paneelin MFT:n stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Lopuksi vain vähän nyöriä rusetille.

I combined two Winnie&Walter sets to make this birthday card, namely 'Elsa's Flora' and 'Addie's Garden'. I masked the flowers an the leaves to my panel which I had die cut with an MFT die. I did my colouring once again with my Zig Markers. The sentiment ('Congrats!' in Finnish) is stamped with the Concord&9th alphabet set 'Perfectly Penned'. I then attached my panel to the card base and added a bit of string in a bow.

Kukkaset - Flowers

Synttärikorttia Winnie & Walterin ihanilla kukilla, nämä on In Bloom -sarjan setistä Anna's Flora. Maskailin kukat ja lehdet ja väritin ne Zigeillä. Tekstin leimasin irtoaakkosilla, jotka ovat tulleet jonkun askartelulehden mukana. Lopuksi vain muutama paljetti ja korttipohjaan kiinni.

I made a birthday card with these gorgeous flowers by Winnie & Walter, they're from the set 'In Bloom: Anna's Flora'. I masked the flowers and the leaves and coloured them with my Zig Markers. I love how you can layer Zigs on top of each other, I used only pink on the middle flower but then layered yellow and orange for the yellow flower and purple and pink on the purple one and think they turned out nice :) I spelled my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) with some alphabet stamps I got free with a crafting magazine I once bought and added some sequins before attaching it to the cardbase.

Viimeiset joulukortit - The last of the Christmas cards

Vuosi lähenee nopsaan loppuaan ja minulle tulee kiire! Nimittäin laittaa viimeiset joulukortit näytille vielä joulukuun aikana :D Tässä siis tulevat viimeiset ilman sen kummempaa järjestystä tai selitystä.

The last hours of 2017 are here and I'm in a hurry! In a hurry to show you the last of the Christmas cards I made for this year before 2018 gets here :D So here they are, in no order and without explanations (please just ask if you want to know something about them).

Joulun kukka - Christmas flower

Joulu taitaa olla jo ohi, mutta joulukortteja riittää vielä blogattavaksi, joten jatketaan niillä vielä. Tämä taitaa olla viimeinen kortti Winnie & Walterin joulutähdellä, sekin Copiceilla väritetty. Leimasin nuo männyn oksat ja marjaoksat suoraan paneeliin ja siihen päälle kiinnitin irtileikatut kävyt, lehdet ja joulutähden. Lisäksi kullalla leimattuja pisteitä, muutama paljetti ja tekstileima ja koko paneelin kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

The Christmas might be over already, but I still have some Christmas cards to show you so I'll just continue with them. This is the last card I made with the poinsettia from Winnie & Walter, I coloured it with my Copics. I stamped the  pine branches and the twigs with berries straight to the white panel and then adhered the fussy cut parts (the cones, the leaves and the poinsettia) on it. I stamped a few dots with gold ink, added some sequins and stamped my sentiment ('Merry Christmas' in Finnish) before attaching the panel to the card blank.

Punainen joulutähti - Red poinsettia

Lisää joulutähtiä! :) Tässä kortissa on aika lailla samat ainekset kuin edellisessäkin, joulutähti, lehdet ja kävyt Winnie and Walterin setistä ja väritys Copiceilla. Stanssattuja höysteitä Simply Graphicilta ja WPlus9:ltä, ja taustan ympyrä ja tekstibanneri My Favorite Thingsin stansseilla stanssattu, tekstileima Heidin Korttipajan. Lisänä kuviopaperia ja paljetteja.

It's another poinsettia from me :) The poinsettia, the leaves and the tree cones come from Winnie and Walter and I coloured them with my Copics. The twigs and branches are die cut with dies from Simply Graphic and WPlus9 and the banner and the circle in the background are die cut with My Favorite Things dies. The sentiment on the banner says 'Merry Christmas'.

Joulutähti - Poinsettia

Käytin tähän korttiin Winnie and Walterin ihanaa joulutähteä, jonka väritin Copiceilla valkoiseksi. Höysteeksi laitoin Simply Graphicin stansseilla stanssattuja koristeoksia. Taustalla MFT:n stanssilla stanssattu ympyrä, johon leimasin toivotukset, ja sen takana kuviopaperia.

The gorgeous poinsettia in this card comes from Winnie and Walter, I coloured it white with my Copics. I used Simply Graphic dies to die cut the little branches to go with the poinsettia. The circle in the background is die cut with a My Favorite Things die and the sentiment says 'Merry Christmas'. In the background I used some patterned paper.

Synttäritoivotuksin - Sending birthday wishes

Tein blogiystävälleni Patricialle synttärikortin näillä ihanilla Winnie and Walter -leimoilla. Maskasin ja leimasin kukkaryppääseen kukkia ja lehtiä Addie's Garden ja Anna's Flora -seteistä, tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä. Väritys taas Gansai Tambeilla. Stanssasin paneelin irti Hero Artsin Infinity-sarjan stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan.

My lovely and talented bloggy friend Patricia has her birthday in March and I made her this card. I used these gorgeous flowers and leaves from two Winnie and Walter sets, 'Addie's Garden' and 'Anna's Flora' (and may I add that I simply love these sets, the flowers are so pretty and perfect for watercolouring!). The sentiment stamp comes from Papertrey Ink. I coloured my flower arrangement with my Gansai Tambi watercolours, die cut the panel with the 'Infinity' rectangle die by Hero Arts and attached to card base.

Kukkaa kehyksessä - Flower in a Frame

Kukkakorteilla jatketaan. Tämä kukka on Winnie and Walterin In Bloom -sarjan leimasetistä Anna's Flora, lehdet taas Addie's Garden -setistä. Väritin ne Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja vellumia ja kultakartongista stanssattu kehys. Tekstin leimasin kartongille ja leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin kaikki kohotarroilla. Koristeiksi kultakimalteisia enamel dotseja.

I've another flower card to show you today. The flower comes from Winnie and Walter's set 'In Bloom: Anna's Flora' and the leaves from their 'In Bloom: Addie's Garden' set. I coloured them both with my Gansai Tambis and fussy cut them out, I also fussy cut out the sentiment stamped on a piece of cardstock. I added some patterned paper and a strip of vellum to the background, die cut the frame out of some gold foil cardstock, and attached all the elements with foam adhesives. To finish the card, I added some sparkly gold enamel dots.
