Floral card - Kukkakortti

I made this birthday card with a stamp by Clearly Besotted called Make a Wish. I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I added only a strip of patterned paper and the stamped sentiment but wanted to keep a clean feel to it, so I didn't use any embellishments.

Spring birthday card - Keväinen synttärikortti

I made a little birthday card with this lovely stamp by Penny Black called Unfolding. I stamped it onto watercolour paper, coloured with my watercolours and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel. I then stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) before matting the panel onto some green cardstock and finally onto kraft coloured cardbase.

Keväinen synttärikortti syntyi Penny Blackin Unfolding-leimalla, jonka väritin vesiväreillä. Mustetin paneelin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteilla, kerrostin vihreälle kartongille ja lopulta korttipohjaan. Tekstileiman leimasin paneeliin.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Layered Leaves

I love this die from Penny Black's new release Secret Garden. It's called Layered Leaves and it's so simple and elegant. For this card, I die cut it out of white cardstock and then just glued different coloured cardstock behind the leaves, trimming off excess. I adhered it to my cardbase and stamped the sentiment from Blooming Sentiments set in yellow. I love that sentiment and think it's very apt for the unusual times we live in. I wanted to keep the card as CAS as possible so I didn't use any embellishments.

CAS-kortti uusilla Penny Black -tuotteilla, tähän käytin Layered Leaves -stanssia. Stanssasin sen ensin valkoisesta kartongista ja sitten liimasin taustalle värillistä kartonkia ja leikkasin ylimääräiset irti. Stanssattu kuvio korttipohjaan kiinni ja tekstileima Blooming Sentiments -setistä keltaisella leimattuna, siinäpä se :) Käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Simple - Yksinkertainen

A quick little CAS card I made with a floral stamp from the Daisy Floral set by Stamping Bella. I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut it out with its matching die. I then die cut a panel with Penny Black's Stitched Nested Frames die, masked a rectangle on it and sponged some grey ink on the panel. Then I adhered the flower in place and stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) before adhering the panel onto my cardbase.

Nopsa CAS-kortti Stamping Bellan kukalla setistä Daisy Floral. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Nested Frames -stanssilla, maskasin siihen suorakulmion ja mustetin. Sitten kiinnitin kukan paikoilleen, leimasin tekstileiman ja kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

Seven - Seitsemän

My son is turning seven soon so I made him this birthday card. I chose the stamp Friendship by Penny Black as he loves dogs and would like to have one. However, we have two 'senior citizen' cats, so I think it's best not to shock them with a puppy just now.. Anyways, I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut it with its matching die, Friendship Cut Out. The sun is die cut with a die from that set too. I then die cut a couple of circle frames and adhered a bit of vellum behind them, and placed a bit of patterned paper in the background. Lastly, I adhered everything in place and added a number 7 to the sun.

Tämän kortin tein pian 7 vuotta täyttävälle pojalleni. Penny Blackin Friendship-leiman valitsin, koska poika pitää koirista ja haluaisi sellaisen itselleenkin. Meillä vain on kaksi kissavanhusta, joita ei viitsi järkyttää koiranpennulla... Leimakuvan väritin Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Auringon stanssasin Friendship Cut Out -stanssin mukana tulevalla 'ekstra-stanssilla' ja siihen lisäsin numeron 7. Sitten stanssasin pari ympyräkehystä, joiden taakse kiinnitin vellumia. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja kaikki osaset kiinni.

Penny Black Share the Love: Winsome Wreath

I'm sharing the love again with new stamps from the new Penny Black release called Share the Love. This time I used the gorgeous floral wreath called Winsome Wreath - it's such a beautiful stamp and so lovely to colour. For the first card, I used the whole stamp and coloured it with my watercolours before die cutting the panel with a square die from the set Stitched Square & Circles. I then stamped the sentiment from the new Only You sentiment set inside the wreath, and matted the panel onto some dark pink cardstock before adhering it onto pale grey cardbase. I didn't add any embellishments as I wanted the stamped image to be in the spotlight.

For the second card I folded my cardbase out of sturdy watercolour paper and stamped part of the wreath on the upper right hand corner before colouring it with my watercolours. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink around the stamped image and splattered a bit of purple watercolour on the card front. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Grateful Sentiments set.

Tämä uusi Penny Blackin Winsome Wreath -leima on i-h-a-n-a! Todella kaunis ja kiva väritettävä. Ensimmäiseen korttiin leimasin sen kokonaan näkyville, väritin vesiväreillä  ja stanssasin paneelin Stitched Square & Circles -setin neliöstanssilla. Tekstileima on uudesta Only You -setistä, leimasin sen kranssin keskelle. Sitten kerrostin paneelin tummanpinkille kartogille ja kiinnitin vaaleanharmaaseen korttipohjaan.

Toiseen korttiin taittelin korttipohjan vesivärikartongista ja leimasin vain osan kranssia näkyviin yläkulmasta. Väritys taas vesiväreillä, hieman Distress Oxide -mustetta leimakuvan ympärille ja perään muutama vesiväriroiske. Tekstileima on Grateful Sentiments -setistä ja sopii hyvin ystävänpäiväkorttiin.

Penny Black Share the Love: Heart Border

Happy New Year and happy 'Roaring 20s'! I'm beginning my 2020 crafting with a CAS card made with new products from the new and fabulous Penny Black release called Share the Love. This is a very clean and simple card with minimal stamping so it's quick and easy to make. I first die cut a panel of white cardstock with the new frame die called Stitches of Love, I love these new frame dies, each size comes with different stitching around the edges. I then die cut the panel with a new die called Heart Border which cuts a sort of negative image on cardstock. I also die cut the Heart Border on pink cardstock so that I could get the hearts in pink. I folded my cardbase out of red cardstock and adhered the white panel on it. I then stamped my sentiment, it's from the new sentiment set called Hug Me, on the white panel and adhered the pink hearts in place. Lastly, I added a couple of tiny rhinestones in two of the hearts.

Hyvää Uutta Vuotta ja uutta vuosikymmentä! Aloitin uuden vuosikymmenen askartelut CAS-kortilla, jossa on hyvin vähän leimailua. Stanssasin ensin paneelin valkoisesta kartongista Penny Blackin Stitches of Love -stanssisetin stanssilla. Sitten stanssasin paneeliin tuon sydänkuvion Heart Border -stanssilla, samalla stanssilla stanssasin vielä pinkkiä kartonkia, että sain pinkkejä sydämiä. Korttipohjan taittelin punaisesta kartongista ja kiinnitin siihen valkoisen paneelin, johon leimasin tekstin uuden tekstisetin Hug Me leimalla. Lopuksi kiinnitin pinkit sydämet paikoilleen ja pariin sydämeen laitoin koristeeksi pienen timantin. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

AAA Birthday #8: December - Joulukuu

It's December, time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday and our theme this time is 'Balloons & Banners'. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Maaike joining us.

For my card, I used the cute little mouse with his balloon from the Penny Black set It's Your Day. I coloured the image with my watercolours and added some details in my white Gelly Roll pen. I also sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the image. I then die cut the frame using Penny Black's Stitched Loops die and adhered it in place. The banner is by Lawn Fawn, I stamped and die cut it before watercolouring it. I stamped the sentiment ('Congrats') with tiny alphabet stamps by Papertrey Ink onto the banner and adhered the banner in place. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear sequins.

Snowy village - Luminen kylä

A snowy little village for Christmas :) For this Christmas card, I used the little village from Ready, Set, Snow stamp set by Lawn Fawn which I coloured with my Copics. I created a window by die cutting the white panel with an MFT die and adhering blue cardstock behind it. I then attached the village in place and added falling snow with my white gel pen. I stamped my sentiment (which says 'Merry Christmas') before adhering the panel onto my card base.

Tähän joulukorttiin pääsi luminen kylä Lawn Fawnin setistä Ready, Set, Snow. Väritin sen Copiceilla. Ikkunan stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja kiinnitin sen taakse sinistä kartonkia, johon lisäsin lumisadetta valkoisella geelikynällä. Sitten kiinnitin kylän paikoilleen ja leimasin tekstileiman ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

Penny Black First Snow: Wintry Whites

I guess it's no secret that I love floral stamps and this one from the new release by Penny Black is no exception. It's called Wintry Whites and it's so delicate and beautiful! I stamped it onto kraft cardstock and coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils. I then softly inked the edges of the panel with white ink. To create the frame, I die cut white cardstock with Stitched Stackers die and adhered the stamped panel onto it before attaching it to the card base. I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Wintry Whites set onto a strip of dark brown cardstock and attached it in place. Lastly, I embellished the card with white sticky back pearls.

Penny Black First Snow: Starlight

A pink Christmas card? Well, why not! Pink is my colour of the day with this Christmas card I made with new stamps from the new Penny Black release called First Snow. The stamp I used is called Starlight. I stamped it with black Memento ink avoiding the stars, coloured it with my Copics, and stamped it again, this time I inked only the stars with Versamark ink and heat embossed them in white. I also sponged some pink Distress Oxide ink on it so that the white stars would pop more. The frame I used is die cut with Snowflake Frame die, you get this small frame if you do not separate the two dies from each other. For the background, I used some patterned paper from Holiday Trimming paper pad and also embellished the card with a die cut (Burlap Edge). The sentiment comes from another stamp set called Sweet Sledder.

I made this card using a new stamp from the new Penny Black release First Snow. The stamp is called Heap of Happy. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and fussy cut it out. I then die cut a circle frame using the Stitched Circles die set by Penny Black. For the background, I used some patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime. After I had attached all the elements on my card base, I stamped my sentiment from the new sentiment set Winter Chill and added some red sequins to embellish the card.

Christmas Wreath - Joulukranssi

I made a quick little Christmas card with Natural Beauties set by Paper Smooches. I know it's not really a Christmas stamp set but I thought this little wreath with added pinecones and berries would make a lovely Christmas wreath. I coloured the images with my Copics and die cut them out. I also die cut the frame with Paper Smooches' Fused Frame die. The sentiment is by Penny Black, this one was dainty enough to fit inside the frame. I matted the white linen textured panel onto some dark brown cardstock and attached everything in place before embellishing the card with some clear sequins.

Kerrostin valkoisen paneelin tummanruskealle kartongille, kiinnitin kaikki paikalleen ja koristelin lopuksi vielä paljeteilla.

Penny Black First Snow: Joy

Oh joy! Penny Black has released new Christmas/winter themed stamps and dies and they are beautiful! I couldn't wait to use the new Festive Frolic stamp set and created a Christmas card with this sweet little kitty. I coloured him with my Copic markers and die cut him out with the matching die. I also added a bit of Nuvo glitter gloss pen to the white parts of the kitty's hat but unfortunately it doesn't really show in the photos.. I then die cut the word 'joy' out of red cardstock with Jumbo Joy die and decided to replace the O with the kitty. I ended up die cutting the letters and the kitty out of light grey cardstock a couple of times and stacking them on top of each other so that they became a bit bulkier and stand out from the background a bit more. The white frame that I used in the background is die cut with Snowflake Frame die (you get that little die cut frame if you do not separate the dies from each other but use them while they're still attached to each other). Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Penny Blackiltä on tullut uusia jouluisia/talvisia leimoja ja stansseja ja tässä ensimmäinen korttini niillä. Kisulainen on setistä Festive Frolic, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Lisäsin vähän glitter-kynää hatun valkoisiin osiin, mutta se ei oikein kuvissa näy.. Sanan 'joy' stanssasin Jumbo Joy -stanssilla ja päätin korvata o:n kisuliinilla. Stanssasin sekä kirjaimet että kissan useampaan otteeseen harmaasta kartongista ja liimasin ne päällekkäin, näin niistä tuli paksumpia ja vähän paremmin erottuvia. Taustan kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frame -stanssilla, tuo kehys tulee "kaupan päälle", kun setin stansseja ei irrota toisistaan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla kirkkaalla paljetilla. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Cats - Kissat

Let's face it - colouring animals is definitely not my forté! LOL! But I do love this stamp by Stamping Bella :) It's called Squishy Cats and I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut the part beneath the cats off. I replaced it with some patterned paper and added a die cut sentiment by Winnie and Walter. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

We're half way through our October challenge at The Flower Challenge. The theme for October is CAS (clean and simple) and we're sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps who are kindly giving our winner a gift certificate of $25 to spend at the store. For my card I used the Casual Comfort stamp set. I heat embossed the image and sponged some Distress Oxide ink around it. I then cut out the panel, die cut the window with Penny Black's Stitched Circles die and stamped the sentiment before adhering the panel onto cardbase.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Winter Garden

I absolutely love this stamp! It's a gorgeous new stamp from Penny Black called Winter Garden and it is such a joy to colour! I coloured the image with my Copics and added some gold splatters on it. I then cut the panel down to size and rounded the corners with a corner chomper before adhering it to cardbase (I added couple of extra layers of cardstock behind the panel so that it is slightly raised from the cardbase). I die cut the word Merry with Merry and Joy die out of glittery gold cardstock, I also die cut the word out of black cardstock a couple of times and adhered them behind the glitter cardstock so that the die cut word would be a bit raised and stand out a bit more.  I embellished the card with some glittery gold enamel dots.

Tämä Penny Blackin uusi leima Winter Garden on ihana värittää! Väritin sen Copiceilla ja roiskin perään vähän kultaroiskeita. Paneelin leikkasin irti ja pyöristin kulmat corner chomperilla. Laitoin paneelin taakse pari ylimääräistä kerrosta kartonkia niin, että sain paneelin vähän koholleen. Merry-sanan stanssasin Merry and Joy -stanssilla kultaisesta kartongista ja muutaman kerran mustasta ja kerrostin ne päällekkäin niin, että sain tekstin hieman koholle. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla kultaisen kimaltavalla enamel dotsilla. Käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Merry and Joy ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

AAA Birthday #6: October - Lokakuu

A new challenge starts at AAA Birthday today and this time we have a colour palette to inspire you (please see the photo below). So please make a birthday card in any style you wish using at least two colours you see in the photo. As our Guest Designer, we have the very talented Trina P.

 

I managed to use all the colours of the photo in my card! As my stamped image, I have a wreath called Golden Delight by Penny Black. I stamped it onto my cardbase and coloured with my Copics. I then cut a panel the size of the card front, die cut an opening to it using a die from the set Stitched Circles by Penny Black so that it fits around the stamped image, and adhered it in place. I heat embossed my sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished my card with gold sequins.

AAA Birthday -haasteessa alkaa uusi haaste ja tällä kertaa meillä on väripaletti, josta olisi tarkoitus käyttää ainakin kahta väriä. Guest Designerina meillä on tällä kertaa Trina P.

Omassa kortissani onnistuin käyttämään kaikkia kuvan värejä! Leimakuvana käytin Penny Blackin Golden Delight -leimaa, jonka leimasin suoraan korttipohjaan ja väritin Copiceilla. Paneelin leikkasin valkoisesta kartongista ja siihen stanssasin aukon Penny Blackin Stitched Circles -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin paneelin paikoilleen. Tekstileiman embossasin mustalle kartonginpalaselle ja kiinnitin paikalleen kohotarroilla. Lopuksi koristelin kortin paljeteilla.

The Flower Challenge #37

It's time for the October challenge at The Flower Challenge and this time we're asking you to make a CAS card - a clean and simple floral card. We're sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps who are very generously giving our winner a prize of $25 to spend in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps online store. We also have a Guest Designer, the fabulously talented Tina Magnusson, joining us this month.

For my DT card, I used the Casual Comfort stamp set. I stamped the images on the upper part of the card, heat embossed them in white and then sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Tattered Rose on the panel. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set, I stamped it with Memento ink in Toffee Crunch. Lastly, I matted the panel onto brown cardstock and then onto my cardbase.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Dainty Doves

I really like the combination of white and gold so that's what I went for in this Christmas card. The stamp I used is a new one from Penny Black's new collection Merry and Joy and it is called Dainty Doves (the set includes two doves). I watercoloured the image very lightly and added gold accents with my Gelly Roll pen. I also added gold enamel dots as berries in the branch. I die cut the frame using the new Snowflake Frame die, I cut it once out of white cardstock and the second time out of glitter gold cardstock so that I got the rectangle frame in gold. I die cut the sentiment out of the same glitter gold cardstock using the new Merry and Joy die. Finally, I simply adhered everything in place.

Valkoinen ja kulta on mielestäni kaunis yhdistelmä, joten käytin sitä tässä joulukortissa. Käyttämäni leima on Penny Blackin uusi Dainty Doves (setissä on kaksi kyyhkyä, käytin tähän vain toista). Väritin sen kevyesti vesiväreillä ja lisäilin kultaisia yksityiskohtia Gelly Roll -kynällä. Kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frames -stanssilla, kertaalleen valkoisesta kartongista ja kertaalleen kultaisesta, että sain tuon kultaisen suorakulmion tuonne kehyksen sisään. Tekstin stanssasin Merry and Joy -stanssilla. Lopuksi lisäilin kultaisia enamel dotseja marjoiksi kyyhkyn kantamaan oksaan.
