Wreath for Christmas - Kranssi jouluksi

Once again I decided to make a Christmas card with a non-Christmas stamp, simply because I wanted to colour this image :) Also I think she looks quite festive and her wreath looks like it could be a gift so I think she fits well for the job. The image is Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath by Stamping Bella and I coloured the image with my Copic markers. I also added a bit of Stickles glitter glue to the yellow flowers in the wreath. I die cut the glittery gold frame with an MFT die and the word die is by Penny Black, as is the heat embossed part of the sentiment. I added a bit of vellum behind the frame. For the background, I chose patterned paper with some festive ligths. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tein taas joulukortin ei-jouluisella leimalla. Tämä on Stamping Bellan Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath, väritin sen Copiceilla ja lisäsin Sticklesiä keltaisiin kukkiin. Kehyksen stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla, sanan Penny Blackin stanssilla ja loput tekstistä embossasin kullalla (leima Penny Blackin). Kehyksen taakse vähän vellumia ja kuviopaperiin kiinni. Lopuksi muutama enamel dots koristeeksi.

Here are the Christmas cards I made with MFT's Sweet Holiday Penguins set. I have a thing for penguins and these are just so very cute! For all of the cards, I coloured the images with my Copics and used dies by Penny Black, except for the banner which is an MFT die. The sentiment in all of the says 'Christmas Joy' in Finnish.

Snowy village - Luminen kylä

A snowy little village for Christmas :) For this Christmas card, I used the little village from Ready, Set, Snow stamp set by Lawn Fawn which I coloured with my Copics. I created a window by die cutting the white panel with an MFT die and adhering blue cardstock behind it. I then attached the village in place and added falling snow with my white gel pen. I stamped my sentiment (which says 'Merry Christmas') before adhering the panel onto my card base.

Tähän joulukorttiin pääsi luminen kylä Lawn Fawnin setistä Ready, Set, Snow. Väritin sen Copiceilla. Ikkunan stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja kiinnitin sen taakse sinistä kartonkia, johon lisäsin lumisadetta valkoisella geelikynällä. Sitten kiinnitin kylän paikoilleen ja leimasin tekstileiman ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

Penny Black First Snow: Conifer Wreath

Here's a Christmas card using one of the new stamps from the latest Penny Black release called First Snow. The stamp is Conifer Wreath, I heat embossed it in gold and watercoloured the image. I then sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the panel before splattering it with gold spray (I used my watercolour brush for the splattering). I die cut the word 'joy' out of glittery gold cardstock using Penny Black die Merry and Joy and adhered it in place. I then matted the panel onto dark brown cardstock before adhering it onto kraft coloured card base. Lastly, I embellished the card using gold sequins.

Christmas Roses - Jouluruusut

This gorgeous image is a stamp by Stampendous called Christmas Roses. I stamped it three times across the top of the die cut panel (die cut with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames) and coloured it with my Copic markers. I then stamped the sentiment (it says '(Wishing You) Peaceful Christmas Time' in Finnish) before adhering it to my dark red card base. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear sequins.

Peaceful Christmas Time - Rauhaisaa Joulunaikaa

Now I know this is not a Christmas stamp per se and I didn't even use traditional Christmas colours to colour it but still I decided to make a Christmas card with it. The stamp I used is Grateful for Everything by Concord&9th and I coloured it with my watercolours before sponging the edges with some Distress Oxide ink and adding splatters of gold to it. I then stamped my sentiment (it says 'Peaceful Christmas Time') and matted the panel onto dark brown cardstock before tying a bit of twine around it. Lastly, I adhered the matted panel onto my cardbase.

Tämä leimasin ei varsinaisesti ole joululeimasin eivätkä väritkään jouluväreihin mene, mutta tein tästä silti joulukortin :) Leimakuva on Concord&9th:n Grateful for Everything ja väritin sen vesiväreillä, mustetin paneelin reunat Distress Oxide -musteella ja roiskin päälle kultaa. Sitten vain tekstileima, kerrostus tummanruskealle kartongille, nyöriä rusetille ja korttipohjaan kiinni. 

Penny Black First Snow: Starlight

A pink Christmas card? Well, why not! Pink is my colour of the day with this Christmas card I made with new stamps from the new Penny Black release called First Snow. The stamp I used is called Starlight. I stamped it with black Memento ink avoiding the stars, coloured it with my Copics, and stamped it again, this time I inked only the stars with Versamark ink and heat embossed them in white. I also sponged some pink Distress Oxide ink on it so that the white stars would pop more. The frame I used is die cut with Snowflake Frame die, you get this small frame if you do not separate the two dies from each other. For the background, I used some patterned paper from Holiday Trimming paper pad and also embellished the card with a die cut (Burlap Edge). The sentiment comes from another stamp set called Sweet Sledder.

This little cutie was such fun to colour, I think she looks so sweet with her little friend. The stamp I used for this is from the new Penny Black release, First Snow, and it is called Bundled Buddies. I stamped it onto some Copic friendly cardstock, coloured it with my Copics and die cut the panel with Penny Black's Stitched Nested Frames die. The sentiment comes from the new sentiment set Winter Chill. For the background, I used patterned papers from Wintertime paper pad. I embellished the card with a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die and added a sticky back pearl to it.

Christmas Wreath - Joulukranssi

I made a quick little Christmas card with Natural Beauties set by Paper Smooches. I know it's not really a Christmas stamp set but I thought this little wreath with added pinecones and berries would make a lovely Christmas wreath. I coloured the images with my Copics and die cut them out. I also die cut the frame with Paper Smooches' Fused Frame die. The sentiment is by Penny Black, this one was dainty enough to fit inside the frame. I matted the white linen textured panel onto some dark brown cardstock and attached everything in place before embellishing the card with some clear sequins.

Kerrostin valkoisen paneelin tummanruskealle kartongille, kiinnitin kaikki paikalleen ja koristelin lopuksi vielä paljeteilla.

Penny Black First Snow: Festive Frolic

I love penguins and I think these ones from Penny Black are so sweet! They're from the stamp set Festive Frolic, I coloured them with my Copics and die cut them out with the matching dies. The snow globe is from the set Cozy Nigts, I coloured it with my Copics as well and die cut it out with its matching die. The sentiment is from Wintry Whites set and it fits perfectly to the little plaque on the snow globe. To decorate the inside of the globe, I die cut some frosty grass with Garden Edgers die and added snowflakes, one is stamped with a stamp from Festive Frolic set and two are debossed with a die that comes with the Snowflake Frame die. I also added a rhinestone to each of the snowflake and tied a bit of baker's twine into a bow to decorate the snow globe. For the background, I used some patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime and matted it onto some kraft cardstock before attaching it to my card base.

I think this cuddly polar bear is just the cutest ever! It's from the new Penny Black stamp set called Festive Frolic. I stamped it onto X-Press It blending card, coloured it with Copic markers and die cut it with the matching die Festive Frolic Cut Out. For the background I used the Snowflake Frame die (which I love!!), I die cut it once out of cream cardstock and then the second time out of green cardstock so that I could get that little "frame in a frame" in green. I also used some patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime. The sentiment I used is from the set Thrill of Hope, I heat embossed it onto a strip of vellum.

Penny Black First Snow: Joy

Oh joy! Penny Black has released new Christmas/winter themed stamps and dies and they are beautiful! I couldn't wait to use the new Festive Frolic stamp set and created a Christmas card with this sweet little kitty. I coloured him with my Copic markers and die cut him out with the matching die. I also added a bit of Nuvo glitter gloss pen to the white parts of the kitty's hat but unfortunately it doesn't really show in the photos.. I then die cut the word 'joy' out of red cardstock with Jumbo Joy die and decided to replace the O with the kitty. I ended up die cutting the letters and the kitty out of light grey cardstock a couple of times and stacking them on top of each other so that they became a bit bulkier and stand out from the background a bit more. The white frame that I used in the background is die cut with Snowflake Frame die (you get that little die cut frame if you do not separate the dies from each other but use them while they're still attached to each other). Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Penny Blackiltä on tullut uusia jouluisia/talvisia leimoja ja stansseja ja tässä ensimmäinen korttini niillä. Kisulainen on setistä Festive Frolic, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Lisäsin vähän glitter-kynää hatun valkoisiin osiin, mutta se ei oikein kuvissa näy.. Sanan 'joy' stanssasin Jumbo Joy -stanssilla ja päätin korvata o:n kisuliinilla. Stanssasin sekä kirjaimet että kissan useampaan otteeseen harmaasta kartongista ja liimasin ne päällekkäin, näin niistä tuli paksumpia ja vähän paremmin erottuvia. Taustan kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frame -stanssilla, tuo kehys tulee "kaupan päälle", kun setin stansseja ei irrota toisistaan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla kirkkaalla paljetilla. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Oh Deer

I love the elegance of this deer so I tried my best to create an elegant card around him. The deer is from the new stamp set Oh Deer by Penny Black, I stamped him onto a panel of Copic friendly cardstock and coloured him with my Copics. I also added some tiny details to him with my white gel pen. I wanted to keep the panel feeling CAS so I left it white and added some snowflakes with the snowflakes that come with the Snowflake Frame die. They imprint the image of the snowflake into the cardstock instead of die cutting anything. I also added sentiment using the Merry Builder stamp set. For the side of the panel I used some kraft cardstock and patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad. Lastly, I embellished my card with a die cut snowflake that I die cut with Polar Pair die and added a sticky back pearl to the center of the snowflake.

Tämä joulukortti syntyi Penny Blackin uudella Oh Deer -leimasetillä, josta leimasin tuon peuran ja väritin Copiceilla. Lisäilin peuraan hieman valkoista geelikynääkin. Taustan halusin pitää CAS-tyylisenä, joten jätin sen valkoiseksi ja lisäilin siihen lumihiutaleita. Käytin niihin lumihiutaleita, jotka tulevat Snowflake Frame -stanssin mukana, ne eivät stanssaa vaan painavat korttipohjaan lumihiutalekuvion. Teksti on Merry Builder -setistä. Lisäsin kortin reunaan kuviopaperia Wintertime-paperikosta ja koristelin kortin Polar Pair -stanssilla stanssatulla lumihiutaleella, jonka keskustaan lisäsin yhden helmen. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Winter Garden

I absolutely love this stamp! It's a gorgeous new stamp from Penny Black called Winter Garden and it is such a joy to colour! I coloured the image with my Copics and added some gold splatters on it. I then cut the panel down to size and rounded the corners with a corner chomper before adhering it to cardbase (I added couple of extra layers of cardstock behind the panel so that it is slightly raised from the cardbase). I die cut the word Merry with Merry and Joy die out of glittery gold cardstock, I also die cut the word out of black cardstock a couple of times and adhered them behind the glitter cardstock so that the die cut word would be a bit raised and stand out a bit more.  I embellished the card with some glittery gold enamel dots.

Laitoin paneelin taakse pari ylimääräistä kerrosta kartonkia niin, että sain paneelin vähän koholleen. Merry-sanan stanssasin Merry and Joy -stanssilla kultaisesta kartongista ja muutaman kerran mustasta ja kerrostin ne päällekkäin niin, että sain tekstin hieman koholle. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla kultaisen kimaltavalla enamel dotsilla. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Poinsettia Poem

Poinsettias for Christmas! This lovely poinsettia stamp is called Poinsettia Poem and it's one of the new Christmas stamps by Penny Black. I coloured the image with my watercolours and added just a little bit more colour to it with my Polychromos coloured pencils. I also added some gold splatters to it. I then cut a panel out of green cardstock and die cut an opening to it with Stitched Circles die and adhered the panel in place. I die cut the word 'Merry' out of gold cardstock with Merry and Joy die and adhered it to place. I completed the sentiment with a stamp from the set Merry Builder. As a finishing touch, I added some gold sequins.

Joulutähtiä on tässä joulukortissa. Leimakuva on Penny Blackin Poinsettia Poem, väritin sen vesiväreillä ja lisäsin vähän väriä Polychromos-kynillä. Muutaman kultaroiskeenkin lisäsin. Paneelin leikkasin vihreästä kartongista ja siihen stanssasin aukon Stitched Circles -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin paneelin paikalleen. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Pinecone Perch

I made a Christmas card with this sweet little stamp by Penny Black. It's from their newest collection called Merry and Joy and it is called Pinecone Perch. I coloured the image with my Copics but as I don't have a reddish brown Copic, I added a bit of coloured pencil to the bird's chest just to make it look a bit more red. I also added accents with my white Gelly Roll pen. I then very lightly sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the upper left corner of the image and stamped the sentiment which is from the new sentiment set Merry Builder. I die cut the frame with Snowflake Frame die first from red cardstock and then from gold cardstock so that I was able to get the little gold frame too. I cut half of the gold frame off though just to add a bit more visual interest. Finally I attached everything in place and added some tiny gold sequins to embellish the card.

Joulukorttia pukkaa, tämä on tehty Penny Blackin uudella Pinecone Perch -leimalla. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla, mutta koska minulla ei ole ruskehtavan punaista Copicia, lisäsin ruskehtavaa punaista linnun rintaan värikynillä. Lisäksi lisäilin hieman valkoista Gelly Roll -kynää sinne tänne leimakuvaan. Kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frame -stanssilla, ensin punaisesta ja sitten kultaisesta kartongista, näin sain tuon pienen kultaisen kehyksen myös. Sen tosin leikkasin kahtia ja käytin vain puolikasta. Tekstileima on Merry Builder -setistä. Koristeina muutama pieni kultainen paljetti. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta Merry and Joy -joulukokoelmasta ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä. 

Penny Black Merry and Joy: All The Trimmings

I'm on a good roll with my Christmas cards - here's a new one! For this card, I used the new stamp set by Penny Black called All The Trimmings. I used two stamps from the set on this card and heat embossed them in gold before watercolouring them. I also heat embossed the sentiment, it's from the new set Thrill of Hope. Then I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the edges of the panel before adhering the panel first to red cardstock and then to my kraft coloured cardbase. Lastly, I added some gold sequins to embellish the card.

Joulukortit jatkuu! Tämän tein Penny Blackin uudella leimasetillä All The Trimmings. Käytin setistä kahta eri leimaa ja embossasin ne kultaisella jauheella, jonka jälkeen väritin ne vesiväreillä. Tekstileimankin embossasin, se on setistä Thrill of Hope. Sen jälkeen mustetin paneelin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Antique Linen ja kiinnitin paneelin ensin punaiselle kartongille ja sen jälkeen korttipohjaan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla kullanvärisellä paljetillä. Käytetyt leimat ovat siis Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Merry and Joy ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit leimoihin yllä.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Cozy Nights

Lovely stamps, die cutting and a piece of patterned paper - those are what this Christmas card is made of! For this one, I used the lovely house from the new Penny Black stamp set Cozy Nights, coloured it with my Copics and die cut it out with the matching die. I also added a tiny heart to the door die cut with Hearts Galore die. I die cut the panel with Leaf Stitched Frames die, sponged a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the background of the house to give it a lovely warm glow, stamped the sentiment from Thrill of Hope sentiment set in the same ink and adhered the house in place. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime. I then adhered the panel in place and embellished the card with a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die.

Leimailua, stanssausta ja kuviopaperia on tässä kortissa :) Leimakuvana on talo Penny Blackin uudesta Cozy Nights -leimasetistä, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti Cozy Nights Cut Out -stansseilla. Oveen lisäsin sydämen, jonka stanssasin Hearts Galore -stanssilla. Paneelin stanssasin Leaf Stitched Frames -setin stanssilla, mustetin talon taustaa hieman Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Antique Linen, jolla myös leimasin tekstileiman setistä Thrill of Hope. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Wintertime-paperikosta. Kun olin kiinnittänyt kaiken paikoilleen, lisäsin koristeeksi vielä lumihiutaleen, jonka stanssasin Polar Pair -setin stanssilla. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Saplings

I made a shaker card! I made one shaker card years ago and have not tried one since but I thought the new Snowflake Frame by Penny Black would be perfect for a shaker card so I had to give it a go. I also wanted to continue on my white and gold theme (see my previous card here) although it made photographing the card a bit tricky... For the image, I heat embossed one of the trees from the new Saplings stamp set in gold and also heat embossed the sentiment from the Merry Builder set. I then assembled the card with the sequins inside and completed the sentiment with a die cut 'Merry' from the die set Merry and Joy.

Kokeilin tehdä shaker-kortin! Olen aikaisemmin tehnyt muistaakseni yhden, joten mikään pro näissä en ole, mutta ajattelin tämän Penny Blackin Snowflake Frame -kehyksen sopivan loistavasti shakereihin, joten piti kokeilla :) Leimana käytin yhtä leimaa Penny Blackin Saplings-setistä,  embossasin sen kullalla samoin kuin tekstileiman Merry Builder -setistä. Kokosin kortin paljetteineen kasaan ja täydensin tekstin stanssatulla Merry-sanalla stanssisetistä Merry and Joy. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta Merry and Joy -kokoelmasta ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Dainty Doves

I really like the combination of white and gold so that's what I went for in this Christmas card. The stamp I used is a new one from Penny Black's new collection Merry and Joy and it is called Dainty Doves (the set includes two doves). I watercoloured the image very lightly and added gold accents with my Gelly Roll pen. I also added gold enamel dots as berries in the branch. I die cut the frame using the new Snowflake Frame die, I cut it once out of white cardstock and the second time out of glitter gold cardstock so that I got the rectangle frame in gold. I die cut the sentiment out of the same glitter gold cardstock using the new Merry and Joy die. Finally, I simply adhered everything in place.

Valkoinen ja kulta on mielestäni kaunis yhdistelmä, joten käytin sitä tässä joulukortissa. Käyttämäni leima on Penny Blackin uusi Dainty Doves (setissä on kaksi kyyhkyä, käytin tähän vain toista). Väritin sen kevyesti vesiväreillä ja lisäilin kultaisia yksityiskohtia Gelly Roll -kynällä. Kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frames -stanssilla, kertaalleen valkoisesta kartongista ja kertaalleen kultaisesta, että sain tuon kultaisen suorakulmion tuonne kehyksen sisään. Tekstin stanssasin Merry and Joy -stanssilla. Lopuksi lisäilin kultaisia enamel dotseja marjoiksi kyyhkyn kantamaan oksaan.
