Lehtiä yksinkertaisesti - Foliage in CAS

Yhdistin tämän kortin tekoon pari CAS-haastetta, CAS(E) this Sketchistä tuli luonnos (jonka tein peilikuvana) ja CASologysta aihe. Stanssasin nuo oksat Penny Blackin Dancing Leaves -stanssilla valkoisesta ja kultaisesta kartongista, tekstileiman embossasin kultaisella. Taustalle harmaata kartonkia ja sen päälle vielä vellumia ja kaikkinensa korttipohjaan kiinni.

I combined two challenges to make this card, CAS(E) this Sketch! provided the sketch (which I kind of flipped and did in mirror image ) and CASology provided the theme. I decided not to do much stamping on this one so I simply die cut the branches with 'Dancing Leaves' die by Penny Black out of some white and some gold foil cardstock. I attached them onto a piece of vellum which I then attached to a piece of gray cardstock and then the whole lot onto my card base. The sentiment I heat embossed with gold.

Lehti - Leaf

Päätin koittaa tehdä niin CAS-kortin kuin ikinä pystyisin, ja eipä siihen paljoa tullutkaan... ;D Tein vesivärikartongista korttipohjan, johon leimasin My Favorite Thingsin Geometric Greenery -setin leimalla tuon lehden, jonka sitten väritin Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä. Tekstileimana käytin osaa FinnStamperin leimasta (kokonaisuudessaan siinä lukee Paljon Onnea, mutta jätin alkuosan pois). Ja siinäpä se, muuta kortissa ei olekaan!

I tried to go as CAS as I could with this card, and I think I managed it pretty well... at least there's no fuss in this card! ;D I folded my card base from a piece of watercolour cardstock and stamped one leaf from the 'Geometric Greenery' set by My Favorite Things which I then watercoloured with my Gansai Tambis. I thought the font on this sentiment would go pretty well together with the leaf so I paired them together (the sentiment says 'Congrats' in Finnish). And that's it, nothing else on this card! I made this card especially for the Less Is More challenge where the theme is 'leaves' - and only now I realise that there is only ONE leaf on my card and the theme word is in plural.... I hope this still qualifies!

Ohilento - Flying By

Tein tämän kortin CAS(E) This Sketch! -haasteeseen. Nuo luonnoshaasteet tuntuvat aina jotenkin haastavilta, joten olen nyt päättänyt yrittää niitä tehdä, edes silloin tällöin. Josko ne niin muuttuvat helpommiksi... ;) Tähän korttiin käytin Lawn Fawnin Flying By -settiä, leimasin ja stanssasin paperilennokin ja väritin sen Copiceilla. Taustalle kuviopaperia ja osittain leimattu teksti (loppuosa tekstistä jatkuu kortin sisäpuolella) sekä "vauhtiviiva". Lennokin kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle.

I made this card following the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch! I always find sketch challenges a bit difficult but I've made a promise to myself to try and practice them by joining in different sketch challenges when I can. Maybe practice makes, if not perfect, then at least better! ;) I used the Lawn Fawn set 'Flying By' for this card, I stamped and die cut the paper plane and coloured it with my Copics. I added some patterned papers in the background, stamped half the sentiment (the rest I stamped inside the card) and the little "flight line". I attached the paper plane with foam adhesives so it is a little raised.

Sydämellistä - Heartfelt

Palataas ajassa taaksepäin ystävänpäivään. Tein pojille molemmille omat ystävänpäiväkortit, molempien omissa lempiväreissä. Leimakuva näissä on Purple Onion Designsin Heartfelt, jonka väritin Distress Markereilla, sydämeen lisäsin vähän sticklesiä. Ensimmäisen kortin leimakuvan stanssasin Paper Smoochesin Notebook Basic -stanssilla, lisäsin hieman nyöriä ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla pohjaan. Sydämet stanssasin Lawn Fawnin stanssilla, tekstileima Dekorettea. Toisen kortin hiiren kehystin Paper Smoochesin Polaroid -stanssilla stanssatulla kartongilla ja kiinnitin niin ikään kohotarroilla. Tekstileima taas Dekorettea. Taustalle hieman nyöriä ja koristeeksi sydämiä.

I'll go back in time and share two Valentine's Day cards that I made for my sons (remember, in Finland Valentine' Day is a day when you celebrate friendship, not romantic love). I used the sweet 'Heartfelt' stamp by Purple Onion Designs for both cards, I coloured the image with my Distress Markers and added some Stickles to the heart. For the first card, I stamped the image on a die cut that I cut with the 'Notebook Basic' die by Paper Smooches. I then added some twine to it and attached it with foam adhesives. I stamped my sentiment ('Smiles to Your Day' in Finnish) on a vellum banner and added some hearts die cut with a Lawn Fawn die. For the second card, I turned the image into a Polaroid picture using Paper Smooches 'Polaroid' die, stamped the sentiment ('Happy Day of Friends' in Finnish) and attached the image with foam adhesives. I added some twine and die cut hearts to it as well.

Kukkaa kehyksessä - Flower in a Frame

Kukkakorteilla jatketaan. Tämä kukka on Winnie and Walterin In Bloom -sarjan leimasetistä Anna's Flora, lehdet taas Addie's Garden -setistä. Väritin ne Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja vellumia ja kultakartongista stanssattu kehys. Tekstin leimasin kartongille ja leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin kaikki kohotarroilla. Koristeiksi kultakimalteisia enamel dotseja.

I've another flower card to show you today. The flower comes from Winnie and Walter's set 'In Bloom: Anna's Flora' and the leaves from their 'In Bloom: Addie's Garden' set. I coloured them both with my Gansai Tambis and fussy cut them out, I also fussy cut out the sentiment stamped on a piece of cardstock. I added some patterned paper and a strip of vellum to the background, die cut the frame out of some gold foil cardstock, and attached all the elements with foam adhesives. To finish the card, I added some sparkly gold enamel dots.

Kukkia, kukkia - Flowers, flowers

Taas "vaihteeksi" ;) tällaista simppelimpää one-layer-korttia näytille. Maskasin vesiväripaperille kukka-leimaa Simon Says Stampin Handwritten Floral Greeting -setistä ja väritin ne Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä. Paneelin stanssasin SSS:n ommelreunaisella stanssilla ja leimasin siihen tekstin Dekoretten setistä. Sitten vain paneeli korttipohjaan kiinni ja kortti oli valmis. En laittanut siihen sen kummemmin mitään koristeita, kun ajattelin, että tuo kukkameri on tarpeeksi runsas itsessään.

Another clean and simple one layer card from me. For this I used the pretty flower from Simon Says Stamps' 'Handwritten Floral Greetings' set, did some masking and stamped several of them onto watercolour cardstock. I then coloured the image with my Gansai Tambi watercolours, die cut the panel with Simon Says Stamps 'Stitched Rectangles' die and stamped the sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) before attaching the panel to my card base. I didn't add any embellishments to it as I thought the flowers should really be the focal points of my card.

Heippa - Hello

Lauantain kunniaksi tulisi tässä tällainen simppeli kortti.  Ihastuin tähän Altenew'n Amazing You -settiin heti, kun sen näin, ja tämä on nyt ensimmäinen kortti sillä tehtynä. Leimakuvan ja taustan väritin taas Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä (mä niiiin tykkään niistä, kuten varmaan on ollut helppo huomata... ;) ), tekstileima on tuosta samaisesta Altenew'n setistä. Trimmasin paneelin korttipohjaan sopivaksi ja lisäsin reunaan washiteippiä. Ja siinäpä se, tähän korttiin ei kummempaa tullut.

A simple one-layer card from me today. I fell in love with Altenew's 'Amazing You' set the minute I saw it and, of course, I had to have it... :) This is the first card I've made with it. I coloured the image and the subtle background with my Gansai Tambi watercolours (which I love! They're probably my best crafty purchase this year :) ) and stamped the sentiment from the same Altenew set. Then I simply trimmed the panel to size and added some washi tape to the edge and adhered to my card base.
