Pionit - Peonies

Näytille tilaustyönä tehty syntymäpäiväkortti. Lähtökohtana kortille käytin luonnosta CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteesta ja värejä Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge -haasteesta. Kukat ovat Altenew'n Peony Bouquet -setistä, väritin ne zigeillä ja asettelin luonnoshaasteen mukaisesti korttipohjaan. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja koristeina muutama ihana paljetti.

Today I have a made to order birthday card to show you. I had a few of challenges in mind when making it, I followed the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! and used the colours from Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge. The flowers are from the 'Peony Bouquet' set by Altenew, I coloured them with my Zigs and attached to the card base. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday' in Finnish) and added a few sequins to finish the card.

Tein synttärikortin miehen veljelle ja näillä Altenew'n Halftone Circles -leimoilla se onnistui helposti. Leimailin pohjalle ympyröitä Hero Artsin ja Simon Says Stampin musteilla ja Sizzixin stanssilla stanssasin isot numerot, jotka sitten kiinnitin tarrapaloilla koholle. Koko paneelin stanssasin Simonin ommelreunastanssilla ja kiinnitin mustaan korttipohjaan. Lisäksi vain jokunen enamel dots ja kortti oli valmis. Melko CAS mutta se ehkä toimii parhaiten näin miesten korteissa :)

I made a birthday card for my brother-in-law. Masculine cards are always a bit difficult to make but I decided to go very CAS as I thought it works best with them. I stamped Altenew's 'Halftone Circles' stamps on the panel with some Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp inks. I die cut the panel with SSS's stitched edge die and die cut the numbers with a Sizzix die. I attached the numbers with foam adhesives so they are a bit raised. As a finishing touch I used some black enamel dots.

Halauksia ja iloisia aatoksia - Hugs and happy thoughts

Ulkona on sateista ja harmaata, joten ankeutta piristämään näytille nyt kukkakortti, jonka tein tädilleni. Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setin kukkia, jotka väritin Copiceilla. Osan kukista kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle. Taustalle stanssasin aukot Memory Boxin stanssilla ja leimasin Altenew'n tekstileiman. Koristeiksi laitoin muutaman tipan Nuvo Dropsia.

It's grey and rainy outside so I thought I'd try and brighten the day by showing you a flower card I made for my aunt. I chose to use the flowers from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 which I coloured with my Copics. I attached some of the flowers with foam adhesives for a bit of 3D effect. I die cut the background with a Memory Box die and stamped the Altenew sentiment in black. Lastly, I added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Kultahääpäivä - Golden Anniversary

Äitienpäivän lisäksi tänään on erityinen juhlapäivä, sillä vanhempani juhlivat kultahääpäiväänsä - 50 vuotta naimisissa! Tämän erityisen merkkipaalun kunniaksi halusin tehdä heille kortin ja kortissa tietysti täytyi olla kultaa :) Leimasin Altenew'n Best Mom -setin kukkasen ruskealla musteella, väritin Twinkling H2O -vesiväreillä ja leimasin sitten uudestaan Delicatan kultamusteella. Näin sain leimakuvan ääriviivoihin kauniin kultaisen kimalteen. Myös tekstileiman leimasin tuolla Delicatan kullalla. Taustapaneelin raosta pilkistää myös kultaa ja pienet pisteet tein kultaisella Sticklesillä. Kultaa siis löytyy! :)

Today is Mother's Day but in addition to that, it's a very special day today as my parents celebrate their Gold Anniversary - that's 50 years of marriage! It's such a special achievement that I wanted to make a special card for them - using lots of gold, of course! I used the gorgeous flower stamp from 'Best Mom' set by Altenew, stamped it first in brown ink, then watercoloured it using Twinkling H2Os and then I stamped it again using Delicata gold ink. It gave such a beautiful golden shimmer to the stamped image! I also stamped the sentiment with the same Delicata ink. I have a bit of gold peeping from behind the panel in my card and I also used golden Stickles to make tiny dots around the flower. So there's a lot of gold in this card for my parents!

Heippa aurinkoinen - Hello, Sunshine

Lainasin tähän korttiin My Favorite Thingsin Polynesian Paradise  -setin liskoleimaa ystävältäni Nonnilta (lisko ystävineen esiintyy varmasti jatkossakin korteissani, sillä Nonni ystävällisesti myi minulle tuon itselleen tarpeettoman setin :) ). Väritin liskon Copiceilla ja sen taustalle leimasin ympyrän Altenew'n Halftone Circles -setin leimalla. Stanssasin paneelin irti Simon Says Stampin ommelreunastanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Tekstileima on myös tuosta Polynesian Paradise -setistä ja lisänä vain jokunen enamel dots.

I made this card using the funny little lizard (or is he a gecko?) from My Favorite Stamps' 'Polynesian Paradise' stamp set that I borrowed from my friend Nonni (and later on she kindly agreed to sell the stamp set to me so this little lizard/gecko and his friends will be making appearances on my cards later on too - yay! :) ). I coloured the lizard with my Copics and stamped the circle behind him with a stamp from Altenew's 'Halftone Circles' set. I then die cut the panel with Simon Says Stamps stitched edge rectangles die and adhered to my card base. The sentiment comes from the 'Polynesian Paradise' set and as embellishments I added some enamel dots.

Magnoliaa - Magnolias

CAS-linjalla jatketaan :) Tein tämän Altenew'n maaliskuun haasteen innoittamana, otin siitä nuo värit (vaikka käytin niitä hieman haaleampina versioina) ja niiden järjestyksen ja koska kuvassa näytti olevan bileet menossa, niin synttärikorttihan tästä tuli. Leimasin ja maskasin vesivärikartongille Altenew'n Magnolias for Her -setin magnoliaa ja väritin ne Gansai Tambeilla ja lisäilin vähän vesiväriroiskeitakin. Teksti FinnStamperin leimalla ja sitten vain kerrostus kartongille ja korttipohjaan.

I'm going quite CAS again with this one I made for a couple of challenges. I was inspired by the Altenew March Inspiration Challenge and I took the colours and their order from the picture and as there seemed to be a celebration going on in the picture, I made this into a birthday card. I stamped and masked some magnolias into a row from the 'Magnolias for Her' set and coloured them with my Gansai Tambi watercolours. I also added a bit of shading around the flowers and some tiny splatters too. The sentiment say 'Many Congrats' in Finnish. I matted the panel onto some dark brown cardstock and then onto a cardbase.

Heippa - Hello

Lauantain kunniaksi tulisi tässä tällainen simppeli kortti.  Ihastuin tähän Altenew'n Amazing You -settiin heti, kun sen näin, ja tämä on nyt ensimmäinen kortti sillä tehtynä. Leimakuvan ja taustan väritin taas Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä (mä niiiin tykkään niistä, kuten varmaan on ollut helppo huomata... ;) ), tekstileima on tuosta samaisesta Altenew'n setistä. Trimmasin paneelin korttipohjaan sopivaksi ja lisäsin reunaan washiteippiä. Ja siinäpä se, tähän korttiin ei kummempaa tullut.

A simple one-layer card from me today. I fell in love with Altenew's 'Amazing You' set the minute I saw it and, of course, I had to have it... :) This is the first card I've made with it. I coloured the image and the subtle background with my Gansai Tambi watercolours (which I love! They're probably my best crafty purchase this year :) ) and stamped the sentiment from the same Altenew set. Then I simply trimmed the panel to size and added some washi tape to the edge and adhered to my card base.

Merkkipäivänä - On your special day

Pikainen postaus tälle illalle, että ehdin osallistua tällä kortilla Less is More -haasteeseen. Haasteena oli siis luonnos, jonka mukaan tämän kortin tein (käänsin vain luonnosta tavallaan peilikuvaksi). Leimakuva on Altenew'n Beautiful Day -setistä Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä väritettynä. Kukan kohotin pohjasta kohotarroilla. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja taustan viivat stanssasin Memory Boxin Straight Stitches -stanssilla. Koristeena muutama Nuvo Crystal Drops -tippa.

Just a quick post from me today so I can enter my card to the current Less is More challenge. I followed the sketch given to make this card but I kind of flipped it around and made it in mirror image. I used Altenew's 'Beautiful Day' stamps and dies for my focal point, coloured them with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and attached to the base (the flower is attached with foam adhesives for a little extra interest). The sentiment says 'On your special day' in Finnish and the lines in the background I made with a Memory Box die 'Straight Stitches'. I also added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops to my card

Anopillani on tässä kuussa synttärit ja tämä kortti juhlistaa hänen pyöreitä vuosiaan. Käytin korttiin Altenew'n ihanaa magnoliaa, jonka embossasin kullalla, vesiväritin Distress Inkeillä ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Paperit ovat Lili of the Valley'ä, ympyrä on stanssattu Simonin stanssilla ja tuo kaareva reuna WPlus9:n Landscape Borders -setin stanssilla. Numerot ja teksti ovat ääriviivatarroja ja koristeina on muutama pieni paljetti.

My mother-in-law turns 70 this month and this card celebrates that. The gorgeous flower is stamped with a stamp from Altenew's Magnolias for Her set and heat embossed in gold. I fussy cut it, watercoloured with Distress Inks and attached with foam adhesives for a little dimension. The patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley, and there's some glittery gold cardstock for added sparkle. The circle is die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die and the rounded edge of the panel is die cut with a die from WPlus9 set 'Landscape Borders'. The numbers and the sentiment (it says 'congrats' in Finnish) are stickers and as embellies, there are some tiny sequins.

Kukka tädille - A Flower for My Aunt

Tässä toinen tädille mennyt kortti (ensimmäinen täällä). Embossasin Altenew'n kukan kultaisella ja väritin Distress Inkeillä, päälle sudin kirkasta Wink of Stella -kimallekynää. Soikion stanssasin ja mustetin ja lisäsin tekstin ja numerot ääriviivatarroilla. Taustan leimasin kuviopaperille Impression Obsessionin taustaleimalla ja embossasin kultaisella.

Here's another card made for my aunt and given to her by my Grandma (the first card's here). I heat embossed the beautiful flower by Altenew with gold embossing powder, coloured it with Distress Inks, covered it in clear Wink of Stella glitter pen and fussy cut it out. I die cut the oval shape out of some patterned paper and sponged it with some Distress Ink. The sentiment and numbers are peel-off stickers, the sentiment says 'Heartfelt congratulations' in Finnish. I made the background simply by stamping an Impression Obsession background stamp onto some patterned paper and heat embossing it with gold embossing powder.

Väriä kraftilla - Colour on kraft

Pikaisena postauksena näytille pikainen kortti. Leimailin/maskasin tähän Altenew'n Hennah Elements -setin kukkia ja lehtiä valkoisella musteella, kuivatin kuumailmapuhaltimella ja väritin päälle Prismacoloreilla. Sitten vain kerrostus värilliselle kartongille ja kiinni korttipohjaan.

This is a very short and sweet blog post to show you my card. I stamped and masked some of the flowers and leaves from the 'Hennah Elements' set by Altenew with white ink on kraft cardstock, heat set with a heatgun and coloured on top of the ink with some Prismacolor pencils. Then I simply matted it onto some coloured cardstock and adhered to the cardbase. Oh, and the sentiment says 'Congrats' in Finnish.

Pinkillä kukalla - With a pink flower

Tässä samalla kaavalla (ja itse asiassa samalla kertaakin) tehty kortti kuin tuo aikaisemmin viikolla postaamani keltakukkainen kortti. Leimat on siis Altenew'n Hennah Elements -setistä ja musteet on Heron Shadow Inkejä. Ja eipä siinä paljon muuta olekaan :D

Here's another card I made earlier this week when I made the one with the yellow flower. This is really similar, just the flower stamp itself is a different one. It is from the 'Hennah Elements' set by Altenew and I used some Hero Arts Shadow Inks with them. There's not much to it, just a simple one layer card with some seriously gorgeous stamps :)

Kukkia, kukkia - Flowers, flowers

Se tuntuu tuo ruokapöydän kulma olevan varsin inspiroiva paikka - taas innostuin siinä väkertämään korttia! (Ja jos et ole paria aikaisempaa postaustani lukenut, niin olen muuttamassa askarteluhuonettani paikasta toiseen ja tavaroitani on siellä täällä, ja yhä enenevässä määrin ruokapöydällä, johon olen laittanut itselleni hätävara-askartelupaikan ;D ). Ehkä jotain tekemistä intoon on myös näillä ihanilla leimoilla... Kyseessä on siis Altenew'n Painted Flowers -setti, johon ihastuin ensinäkemältä. Musteina tässä on taas Heron Shadow Inkit, kartonki on Papermanian tekstuuripintaista kartonkia ja tekstileima on FinnStamperin. Kaarevan reunan stanssasin Simon Says Stampin Curved Edge -stanssilla.

Our dining room table is proving to be a very inspiring place for crafting - I had to make yet another card there today! (If you've read my previous posts, you know that I'm in the middle of moving my crafty room from one room to another and have my crafty stuff all over the place, and I've made myself a makeshift crafty corner on our dining room table. Luckily it's quite big so we can still eat at it, too... ;D ). And just maybe my new gorgeous stamps have something to do with my sudden burst of inspiration... ;) The stamps are from the 'Painted Flowers' set by Altenew and I love love love them! I used them here with some Hero Arts Shadow Inks, some textured cardstock by Papermania, and with a sentiment stamp that says 'Congrats' in Finnish. The curved edge is die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die called - yes, Curved Edge :)

Yksinkertaista - Simple

Sain tänään tilaamani Altenew'n leimat ja tein taas ruokapöydän kulmalla pikaisesti, vähillä värkeillä kortin. Ja vähistä värkeistä johtuen tästä tuli melko yksinkertainen "one layer" -kortti. Leimat ovat Hennah Elements -setistä ja musteet ovat Heron Shadow Inkejä. Niin, ja muuta siinä sitten ei olekaan :D

I got some happy mail today - the Altenew stamps I bought came today! I was itching to use them so I made a quick card on my makeshift crafty corner on our dining room table and because I had quite limited supply of materials, this became rather simple one layer card. The stamps I used were all from the gorgeous 'Hennah Elements' set and I used some Hero Arts Shadow Inks with them. The card blank is square 13,5 x 13,5 cm.
