Leikkokukkia - Freshly Cut

Tein tämän synttärikortin Penny Blackin Freshly Cut -leimalla. Väritin itse kukat Distress Oxide -musteilla (lehdet ja maljakon tavallisilla Distresseillä) ja tykkään kovasti niiden antamasta pehmeästä jäljestä. Kortti itsessään on melko simppeli, stanssasin vain tuon paneelin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja leimasin Dekoretten leimalla tekstin. Sitten vain kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

I made this birthday card using the Penny Black stamp 'Freshly Cut'. I coloured the flower heads with Distress Oxide inks (the leaves and the vase with regular Distress Inks) and I really like the soft, chalky finish the inks give. The stamped image is so gorgeous that I didn't really want to add much to the card so I simply die cut the panel with My Favorite Things die and stamped the sentiment ('This is your day' in Finnish) before attaching the panel to the card base.

Auringonkukka - Sunflower

Tein Create a Smilen auringonkukalla tällaisen hyvinkin simppelin synttärikortin. Väritin kukan Zigeillä ja leikkasin sen irtin. Dekoretten tekstileiman leimasin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla kukan päälle. Taustan kuviopaperin stanssasin niin ikään MFT:n stanssilla. Sitten vain kukka teksteineen korttiin kiinni ja koristeeksi enamel dotseja.

I made this birthday card for my stash using the happy sunflower from the 'Magic Flowers' set by Create a Smile. I coloured it with my Zigs and fussy cut it out. I stamped my sentiment (freely translated as 'Birthday Wishes' in Finnish) on a banner that I die cut with an MFT die. I die cut the background paper with an MFT die as well and attached my flower with the banner on it (the banner is attached with foam adhesives for a little extra interest). As embellishments, I added some enamel dots.

Vaasillinen kukkia - Bouquet

Mitä kovemmaksi pakkanen kiristyy, sitä enemmän minä teen kukkakortteja! Tai siltä ainakin tuntuu.. :D Tämän kortin  kukkakimppu on Penny Blackin Centerpiece, aivan ihana vaasillinen kukkia. Väritin sen Zigeillä, stanssasin siihen kehykset Pennyn stansseilla ja laitoin vellumvyötteen, johon leimasin tekstin. Taustalla Lili of the Valleyn kuviopaperia ja koristeina jokunen paljetti.

It's really cold here (around -20 degrees) and spring seems so far off - thus I'm making cards with flowers! Hoping to see real ones soon though.. These flowers are called 'Centerpiece', an absolutely gorgeous stamp by Penny Black. I coloured it with my Zigs, die cut the frame with Penny Black's 'Antique Frame' dies and added my sentiment on a vellum banner (it says something like 'Birthday Wishes' in Finnish). I added a piece of Lili of the Valley patterned paper on the background and just a few tiny sequins.

Synttärionnea - Birthday Wishes

Tein synttärikortin Paper Smoochesin leimoilla, leimat ovat setistä Natural Beauties. Väritin leimakuvat Copiceilla ja kiinnitin pohjaan, päällimmäinen keltainen kukka on kohotarralla. Taustan paperin stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja tekstileiman leimasin myös MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin. Koko komeus sitten kraftin väriseen korttipohjaan ja se oli siinä :)

I made this little birthday card with my new Paper Smooches stamps, they're from the set called 'Natural Beauties'. I coloured the images with my Copics and attached them on the background paper, the yellow flower on the front is attached with foam adhesives so it is a bit raised. I stamped my sentiment on a banner die cut with an MFT die and I die cut the patterned paper in the background also with an MFT die. I chose to use kraft coloured card base as I thought it might accentuate the colours nicely.

Lintuset - Birdies

Ystävänpäiväkortilla jatketaan taas. Leimailin tähän noita suloisia Clearly Besottedin lintuja pönttöineen Happy Bird-day -setistä ja väritin Zigeillä. Vähän Distress Inkiä reunoille tuohon MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun paneeliin, Dekoretten tekstileima myöskin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin, vähän kuviopaperia ja nappia. Niin, ja Nuvo Dropsia.

I made this friendship card for a crafty friend of mine. The stamps I used are from the 'Happy Bird-day' set by Clearly Besotted (those little birdies are so cute! :) ), I coloured the image with my Zig Markers. I die cut the panel with a MFT die and sponged some Distress Ink on the edges. I then stamped my sentiment ('For a Friend' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with a MFT die as well, added a bit of patterned paper to the background and finished the card with a button and some Nuvo Drops.

Ruusu - Rose

Ystävänpäiväkorteilla jatketaan. Ruusu on DoodleFactoryn leima, väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Leimasin Dekoretten tekstin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja laitoin taustalle kuviopaperia ja piparkakkureunaisen kehyksen (MFT:n stanssi sekin). Lisäksi vain muutama enamel dotsi.

This is another card I made for a friend. The stamp I used is by DoodleFactory (it's an oldie but goodie :) ), I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I stamped my sentiment ('For a Friend') on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die, the dark brown frame is also die cut with a MFT die. I adhered it all on a piece of patterned paper and my card base and added a few enamel dots to finish the card.

Anemonet - Anemones

Vuoden ensimmäinen kortti olisi tässä, tehty kukkasilla, jotka väritin reilusti viime vuoden puolella... ;) En silloin oikein tiennyt, mitä niillä tekisin, joten jätin ne pyörimään pöydälle ja nyt tein niillä tämän. En ole ihan varma, olenko tyytyväinen tähän, mutta tällä mennään.. Kukkaset ovat siis WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setistä, väritetty Copiceilla. Dekoretten tekstileima on leimattu My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja tausta ja korttipohja itsessään on stanssattu Spellbindersin stanssilla. Sitten vain jokunen enamel dotsi ja kortti oli valmis.

Here comes my first card for 2018 - made with flowers I coloured last year! ;) I wasn't sure what to do with them then so I left them on my table and now used them for this. Not sure I'm totally happy with this card but it's done now, so I might as well be happy with it.. The flowers are from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 and coloured with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment ('For a friend' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die. I die cut the blue cardstock and the whole card base with Spellbinders dies. As embellishments, I added some enamel dots.

Yksinkertaisesti kukkia - Simply Flowers

Clearly Besottedin uusimmissa leimoissa on muutama aivan ihana kukkaleima, joista osan kotiutin itselleni. Tässä yksi niillä tehty kortti. Leimasetin nimi on Make a Wish ja väritin kukkaset taas Copiceilla. Muuten korttiin ei paljoa muuta tullutkaan, sillä halusin pitää kukat pääosassa. Stanssasin vain paneelin irti Simon Says Stampin stanssilla, leimasin Dekoretten tekstileiman vellumille ja lisäsin muutaman enamel dotsin. Sitten vain kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

The latest release from Clearly Besotted has some seriously gorgeous flower stamps and I just had to get myself some of them... ;) This is one of the flower stamps I fell in love with, it's called 'Make a Wish' and I coloured the flowers with my Copics. I kept the card quite simple as I wanted the flowers to really be the focal point here so I just die cut the panel with a Simon Says Stamp die and sponged a bit of Distress Ink to it. I stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) on a piece of vellum and added some enamel dots as embellishments before attaching the panel to the card base.

Kukkasia - Flowers

Kesä oli (vai oliko..?) ja meni ja tänne blogiinkin tuli pieni tahaton tauko, mutta nyt taas palailen tännekin. Kortteja tuli tehtyä jonkin verran kesän aikana ja nyt koitan saada niitä tänne näytille. Aloitetaan tällä synttärikortilla, jonka tein ihanalle ystävälleni Nonnille. Käytin tähän Simon Says Stampin Artful Flowers -kukkia, jotka väritin Copiceilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan, osan kohotarroilla. Lisänä vain tekstileima ja kerrostettua kartonkia. Simppeli linja siis jatkuu :)

The summer came (although it feels like it never really did with the weather we had...) and went and along with it came a little blog pause. Didn't mean it to happen but I guess sometimes it's good to take a little pause. I managed to make some cards during the summer and this is one of them. I made this card for my dear friend Nonni for her birthday. I used Simon Says Stamp's 'Artful Flowers' for this one (love love love those flowers!) and I coloured them with my Copics. Some of the flowers I attached with foam adhesives and some straight to the background, so in real life it has a bit of dimension to it. I chose to keep the card clean and simple so I just stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) and layered some cardstock a bit off center.

Kukkaryöppy - Flower cascade

Teenköhän koskaan muita kuin synttärikortteja...? No, taas olisi synttärikorttia tarjolla näytille :D Tämä on (taas) melko simppeli, leimasin tuon Penny Blackin Flower Cascade -leiman vesiväripaperille, väritin Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja leimasin tekstin Dekoretten leimalla. Sitten vain kartongille kerrostus ja korttipohjaan kiinni. Eipä siinä muuta.

I'm starting to wonder if I ever make any other cards except birthday cards... However it may be, I've got yet another birthday card to show you :D This is again quite simple, I just stamped 'Flower Cascade' stamp by Penny Black onto some watercolour cardstock, coloured it with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and then stamped the sentiment ('Happy Birthday' in Finnish). Then I matted it onto some cardstock before attaching to cardbase. And that's it.

Merkkipäivänä - On your special day

Pikainen postaus tälle illalle, että ehdin osallistua tällä kortilla Less is More -haasteeseen. Haasteena oli siis luonnos, jonka mukaan tämän kortin tein (käänsin vain luonnosta tavallaan peilikuvaksi). Leimakuva on Altenew'n Beautiful Day -setistä Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä väritettynä. Kukan kohotin pohjasta kohotarroilla. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja taustan viivat stanssasin Memory Boxin Straight Stitches -stanssilla. Koristeena muutama Nuvo Crystal Drops -tippa.

Just a quick post from me today so I can enter my card to the current Less is More challenge. I followed the sketch given to make this card but I kind of flipped it around and made it in mirror image. I used Altenew's 'Beautiful Day' stamps and dies for my focal point, coloured them with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and attached to the base (the flower is attached with foam adhesives for a little extra interest). The sentiment says 'On your special day' in Finnish and the lines in the background I made with a Memory Box die 'Straight Stitches'. I also added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops to my card

Narsissit - Daffodils

Kevättä kohden mennään (toivottavasti nopsaan..!) ja siksipä narsissitkin pääsevät jo kortteihin. Käytin tähän Simon Says Stampin Friendship Blooms -leimoja ja -stansseja. Leimakuvat väritin Copiceilla ja kiinnitin pohjaan, osan tarrapaloilla koholle. Taustalle stanssasin kuviopaperia My Favorite Thingsin stansseilla ja Dekoretten tekstileiman embossasin vellumille. Paperit ovat sekalaista seurakuntaa ja koristeina muutama tippa liquid pearlsia.

I'm so longing for spring already (and there's still snow on the ground here...), and to ease the longing I used these gorgeous daffodils from the Simon Says Stamp set 'Friendship Blooms'. I coloured the stamped images with my Copics and attached some of them with foam adhesives. I die cut the patterned paper behind the flowers with 'Wonky Stitched Rectangles' die by My Favorite Things. I heat embossed my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) onto a strip of vellum and added a few drops of liquid pearls as embellishments.

Ruusu ystävänpäiväksi - A Rose for a Friend

Ruusua ystävälle! Tähän ystävänpäiväkorttiin käytin Stampendousin Cottage Rose -leimaa, jonka väritin Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä. Leikkasin koko paneelin irti Simon Says Stampin ommelreunastanssilla ja tekstileimaksi käytin Dekoretten leimaa. Paneelin kiinnitin korttipohjaan, jonka taittelin Simon Says Stampin vihreästä kartongista.

This is quite a simple card with no fuss. I used the lovely 'Cottage Rose' stamp by Stampendous and coloured the image with my Gansai Tambi watercolours. I die cut the whole panel with a stitched edge die by Simon Says Stamp and stamped my sentiment on it. Then I attached the panel on some green Simon Says Stamp cardstock.

Keväisiä kukkasia - Spring Flowers

Lisää ystävänpäiväkortteja. Käytin tähän korttiin tuollaista ihanaa stanssattua kehystä, jonka sain Patricialta. Sen taustalle kiinnitin yksivärisen kuviopaperin ja leimasin siihen tekstileiman. Kukkaset leimasin Simon Says Stampin Spring Flowers -setin leimoilla, stanssasin irti, väritin Gansai Tambeilla ja lisäsin hieman yksityiskohtia valkoisella Gelly Roll -kynällä. Osan kukkasista ja lehdistä kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle.  Koristeiksi muutama paljetti.

Some time ago I received some beautiful die cuts from my lovely bloggy friend Patricia (thank you once again, Patricia!) and I used one of them on this card. I attached the die cut frame onto some plain patterned paper and stamped my sentiment on it. Then I stamped and die cut the flowers (from the 'Spring Flowers' set by Simon Says Stamp) and coloured them with my Gansai Tambi watercolours. I added some dots to them with a white Gelly Roll pen and attached some of them with foam adhesives for extra interest. As embellishments, there are some sequins.

Leimakuvana tässä on taas auringonkukka Lawn Fawnin Our Friendship Grows -setistä Copiceilla väritettynä ja kohotarralla kiinnitettynä. Raitataustan leimasin Simon Says Stampin Wide Stripes Background -leimalla ja Simonin High Dive -musteella ja stanssasin Simonin ommelreunaisella stanssilla. Kiinnitin senkin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle korttipohjasta. Tekstileima on Dekoretten setistä ja koristeina vähän nyöriä ja jokunen enamel dotsi.

It seems that I can't get enough of colour therapy and sunflowers now in the dead of winter! :) I noticed a lovely sketch challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts and made this following the said sketch. I used the biggest sunflower in the 'Our Friendship Grows' set by Lawn Fawn, coloured it with my Copics and attached with foam adhesives. I stamped the stripey background with 'Wide Stripes Background' stamp by Simon Says Stamp and their 'High Dive' ink, and die cut it with Simon's 'Stitched Rectangles' die. I attached it to the cardbase with foam adhesives, so it is a bit raised. The sentiment says 'for a friend' in Finnish, and as embellishments I've used some baker's twine and a few enamel dots.

Kainoja kukkasia - Demure flowers

Jo toinen postaus tälle päivälle, mutta halusin laittaa tämän kortin näytille vielä tämän vuoden puolella. Tein tämän kummitytöllemme, joka pääsi joulukuussa ylioppilaaksi. Leimakuvana tässä on Penny Blackin ihana Demure, jonka väritin Distress Markereilla ja Inktense-kynillä. Stanssasin leimakuvan osittain niin, että osa kukista "roikkuu" hieman ulkopuolella. Reunat mustetin Distress Inkillä ja lisäsin leimakuvaan muutaman kimaltelevan hopeisen enamel dotsin. Tekstileima on Dekoretten vellumille leimattuna ja taustapaperi on Lili of the Valley'n.

This is my second post for today, I wanted to post this card before the year changes ;) I made this for our goddaughter who graduated from school in December. The stamped image is the gorgeous 'Demure' by Penny Black and I coloured it with Distress Markers and Inktense pencils, and partially die cut it out. I then sponged the edges with some Distress Ink and added some glittery silver enamel dots to it. The sentiment is stamped on vellum, and the background paper is by Lili of the Valley.

Olkipukki - Straw Buck

Vielä yksi, hieman perinteisempi, joulukortti tälle vuodelle :) Leimakuvana on Magnolian olkipukki, jonka väritin Copiceilla ja stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin Stitched Wonky Square -stanssilla. Reunat mustetin kevyesti Distress Inkillä ja tekstileimaksi laitoin Dekoretten tekstin. Taustalla Lili of the Valley'n kuviopaperia kartongille kerrostettuna, doily ja hieman nyöriä. Leimakuvan kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle.

One more Christmas card for this year :) It's slightly more traditional in style, I used Magnolia's 'Straw Buck' for this. I coloured it with my Copics again and diecut with My Favorite Things' Stitched Wonky Square die and sponged some Distress Ink to the edges. The sentiment says something like 'Merry Christmas Spirit' in Finnish. The background paper is by Lili of the Valley matted onto red cardstock, and as embellishments there's a lovely doily paper and some twine. The stamped image is attached with some foam adhesives and so is a bit raised for extra interest.

Amaryllikset - Amaryllis

Taas joulukortti ja taas amarylliksiä, tällä kertaa WPlus9:n setistä. Väritin nämä amaryllikset Copiceilla, stanssasin ja mustetin reunat. Kerrostin kartongille ja kuviopaperille ja lisäsin Dekoretten tekstileiman. Simppeliä! :)

Another quite simple Christmas card. The stamped image is from the 'Amaryllis' set by WPlus9 which I coloured with my Copics and die cut out. Then I sponged some Distress Ink to the edges. I layered the image on some cardstock, added some patterned papers and a sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year' in Finnish) and that was it :)

Joulutähti - Poinsettia

Joulukortit jatkuu, toivottavasti niihin ei ihan vielä kyllästytä.... ;) Kortit muuttuvat koko ajan simppelimmiksi, tämäkin on ihan täysin one-layer ilman mitään koristeita. Leimakuvana tässä on Woodwaren Poinsettia Corner, jonka väritin Distress Markereilla ja Inktense-kynillä. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja reunoja mustetin Distress Inkillä. Sitten vain kerrostus kartongille ja korttipohjaan kiinni.

I've still got Christmas cards to show you, I hope you're not getting bored already... This is probably the simplest Christmas card I made, it is totally one layer without any embellishments. The stamped image is 'Poinsettia Corner' by Woodware,  I coloured it Distress Markers and Inktense pencils. I stamped my sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year' in Finnish) and sponged some Distress Ink to the edges. Then I just matted the image on some red cardstock and adhered the whole thing to a card base.

Puita, puita - Trees, more trees

Taas puita joulukortissa, tällä kertaa ovat Purple Onion Designsin ihania lumisia puita. Väritys Distress Markereilla ja leimakuvan reunoja mustetin Distress Inkillä. Stanssaus on Paper Smoochesin Notebook Basic -stanssilla, sekä leimakuva että sen takana oleva vihreä kartonki. Lisäksi hieman kuviopaperia, paljetteja ja nyöriä, ja tekstileima Dekoretten setistä.

Yet another of my Christmas cards features trees, this time they are the snowy cuties by Purple Onion Designs. I coloured them with Distress Markers and sponged some Distress Ink to the sky. I die cut the image and the green cardstock behind it with a Paper Smooches die ('Notebook Basic') and added some twine and sequins to it. The sentiment says something like '(Wishing You) Happy Christmas Spirit' in Finnish.
