Auringonkukka ystävälle - Sunflower for a Friend

Väriterapia ja auringonkukat jatkuu! :) Bongasin Seven Hills Craftsillä kivan luonnoshaasteen ja tein tämän kortin sen pohjalta. Leimakuvana tässä on taas auringonkukka Lawn Fawnin Our Friendship Grows -setistä Copiceilla väritettynä ja kohotarralla kiinnitettynä. Raitataustan leimasin Simon Says Stampin Wide Stripes Background -leimalla ja Simonin High Dive -musteella ja stanssasin Simonin ommelreunaisella stanssilla. Kiinnitin senkin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle korttipohjasta. Tekstileima on Dekoretten setistä ja koristeina vähän nyöriä ja jokunen enamel dotsi.

It seems that I can't get enough of colour therapy and sunflowers now in the dead of winter! :) I noticed a lovely sketch challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts and made this following the said sketch. I used the biggest sunflower in the 'Our Friendship Grows' set by Lawn Fawn, coloured it with my Copics and attached with foam adhesives. I stamped the stripey background with 'Wide Stripes Background' stamp by Simon Says Stamp and their 'High Dive' ink, and die cut it with Simon's 'Stitched Rectangles' die. I attached it to the cardbase with foam adhesives, so it is a bit raised. The sentiment says 'for a friend' in Finnish, and as embellishments I've used some baker's twine and a few enamel dots.

Aurinkoista - Sunny

Kaksi ensimmäistä korttia tälle vuodelle tehty! Hiukan on ehkä aistittavissa valon puutetta ja auringon kaipuuta, sen verran aurinkoiset näistä tuli... :D Tein nämä molemmat kortit My Favorite Thingsin luonnoshaastetta seuraten. Yhtään MFT:n leimasinta minulla ei ole (...vielä... ;) ) mutta käytin näissä molemmissa MFT:n stansseja. Ensimmäisessä kortissa leimakuvana on ihku auringonkukka Lawn Fawnin Our Friendship Grows -setistä Copiceilla väritettynä. Taustan vihreä paperi on stanssattu MFT:n Wonky Stitched Rectangles -stanssilla ja banneri taas Fishtail Flags -stanssilla. Paperit ovat Simple Storiesia ja Lawn Fawnia, tekstileima on Mama Elephantin Organic Blooms -setistä. Koristeina muutama enamel dots.

Here come my first two cards of 2017! Wohoo! Apparently, I'm suffering from the lack of light and missing the sun (oh, the Finnish winter...) as both these cards are quite... bright! :D I made these both following the sketch over at My Favorite Things. Sadly, I don't have any MFT stamps (...yet... ;) ) but I do have their dies (which I love!) so I used them. The stamped image on the first card is the gorgeous sunflower from the 'Our Friendship Grows' set by Lawn Fawn, I coloured it with my Copics. I die cut the green paper with MFT's 'Wonky Stitched Rectangles' die (love!) and the banner is die cut with the 'Fishtail Flags' die (love!). The patterned papers are by Simple Stories and Lawn Fawn, and the sentiment is from the Mama Elephant set 'Organic Blooms'. As embellies, there are few enamel dots.

Toisessa kortissa on söpis pupu, Purple Onion Designsin Rosie, Copiceilla väritettynä ja irti leikattuna. Taustan vellum on stanssattu MFT:n Wonky Stitched Rectangles -stanssilla ja banneri Fishtail Flagsilla. Sydämet stanssasin Lawn Fawnin stanssilla. Paperit taas Simple Storiesia ja Lawn Fawnia. Kerrankin sain muuten käytettyä tuollaista paperia, jossa on teksti valmiina. Yleensä paperit, joissa on tekstiä tai kuvaa reunoilla/kulmissa, ovat hieman haastavia minulle, mutta tässä sain sen toimimaan.

The cutie bunny on the second card is 'Rosie' by Purple Onion Designs. I coloured her with my Copics again and fussy cut her out. The MFT dies used on this are the same as in the first card, Wonky Stitched Rectangles and Fishtail Flags. The hearts are die cut with a Lawn Fawn die. The papers are by Simple Stories and Lawn Fawn. I'm quite proud of myself for the way I was able to use the background paper with the sentiment 'Hello Sunshine' here, usually patterned papers that have writing or images on the edges or corners are quite tricky for me but I think I was able to make it work here.

Kakkupaperia ja heippoja - Hello

Tein kortin blogiystävälleni Patricialle ja nyt, kun se on hänellä perillä, voin blogata sen. Muutaman mutkan ja yrityksen kautta kortista sukeutui melko yksinkertainen (no yllätys..! ;) ) ja leimakuvaton (no se on yllätys! ;) ). Käytin tähän Penny Blackin Playful Posies -stanssia ja Paper Smoochesin polaroid-stanssia, Lawn Fawnin aakkosleimoja, nauhaa, nappia ja kakkupaperia.

I made a card for my bloggy friend Patricia. After several tries I ended up making a card without a stamped and coloured image, which is a bit unusual for me, I guess. But I think it turned out quite nice :) I used the Penny Black die 'Playful Posies' for the flowers and die cut the polaroid frame with a Paper Smooches die. I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps and added a bit of twine, a button and a doily to finish the card.

Ei enää pyöriä! - No more bikes!

Veljenpoikani täytti tässä keväällä 15 ja tein hänelle nämä kortit. 15 tarkoittaa mopoikää ja se taas tarkoittaa hyvästejä polkupyörille - siitä lähti ensimmäisen kortin idea! Polkupyörä on DoodleFactoryn leima Copiceilla väritettynä, taustalle stanssasin erinäisistä papereista ympyröitä ja neliön. Lisäksi vain stanssatut numerot ja teksti Lawn Fawnin aakkosilla.

My nephew turned 15 not too long ago and I made him these cards (one for us to give to him and one for his grandparents to give). When you turn 15, you are officially allowed to ride mopeds in Finland (after getting sufficient licenses, etc, of course) and for many that means "no more bikes!" - that's where the idea for this first card came from! The bike is stamped with a DoodleFactory stamp and I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. Then I die cut a couple of circles and a square to mat under it and just added the die cut numbers and the text (stamped with Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps).

Tähän toiseen korttiin tulikin sitten stanssailtua... Stanssasin nuo bannerit My Favorite Thingsin stansseilla ja niihin aakkoset Memory Boxin aakkosstansseilla, myös numerot stanssasin MB:n stansseilla. Sitten vain kerrostusta kartongeille ja kortti oli valmis. Idea korttiin tuli täältä.

This next card required some die cutting... First I die cut the fishtail banners with My Favorite Things dies and then I die cut the letters with Memory Box's alphabet dies in the banners. Also the numbers are die cut with MB's dies. Then I just layered the cardstocks on top of each other and the card was done! The idea for this card came from here.

Tein synttärikortin pojalle tämänviikkoisen Mojo Monday -haasteluonnoksen mukaan. Leimakuva on Tiddly Inksiä Copiceilla väritettynä ja Simonin ommelreunastanssilla stanssattuna. Taustapaperia stanssasin WPlus9:n stanssilla ja tähdet Lawn Fawnin tähtistansseilla. Paperit taitavat olla sekalaista seurakuntaa.

I made this birthday card for a boy following the sketch over at Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge. I used a Tiddly Inks stamp and coloured the image with my Copics (still practicing with them so don't look too closely... ;) ). The stitched edge dies I used to die cut the image and the green patterned paper are by Simon Says Stamp, and I used a die by WPlus9 to die cut the little gap in the background paper. The stars are die cut with Lawn Fawn dies, and the numbers with a Tim Holtz die (lots of die cutting going on in this card! :) ).

Leija - Kite

Lawnscaping-haasteella on menossa synttärihaaste sadannen haasteen kunniaksi ja tehtävänä on siis tehdä juhlan kunniaksi synttärikortti. Minä juhlin tällaisella kortilla :) Leimasin siihen tuon ihanan leijan Lawn Fawnin Sunny Skies -setistä ja väritin sen Distress Markereilla. Tekstileima on Tiddly Inksiä. Stanssasin leimakuvan Simon Says Stampin Stitched Rectangles -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Kovasti yritin lisäillä siihen jos jonkilaista koristetta, mutta en vain saanut sopimaan. Alkaa jo hieman hirvittää, tuleeko korteistani jo liiankin karuja ja yksinkertaisia... No, eipä auta, tällä juhlitaan! :)

There's birthday celebration going on at the Lawnscaping Challenge - congrats on 100th challenge! :) I'm celebrating with this card :) I used the lovely kite from the Sunny Skies set by Lawn Fawn, stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured with Distress Markers. The sentiment is a Tiddly Inks stamp (I didn't have any suitable from Lawn Fawn). I used a Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp to die cut the panel, and then just adhered it to the card base. I tried and tried adding all kinds of embellishments to this card but nothing seemed to suit it - I'm kind of worried this is just a little bit too clean and simple (boring?) for a celebratory card but I'll go with it anyway. Hope you like it! :)

Sinä olet aurinko - You are my sun*

Tein eilisen ystävänpäivän kunniaksi kortit elämäni miehille. Tämä ensimmäinen oli miehelleni, embossasin siihen mustalla Lawn Fawnin auringon ja väritin sen ProMarkereilla (erittäin taidokas ja aikaavievä väritys, kuten näkyy... ;D ). Tekstileima on myös Lawn Fawnia, jätin siitä vain sunshine-sanan pois. Stanssaus on Simon Says Stampin ommelstanssilla ja sitten vain kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

It was Valentine's Day yesterday so I gave cards to the most important men in my life. This first one was for my husband. I heat embossed the sun (from Lawn Fawn's 'Sunny Skies' set) in black and coloured it with ProMarkers. Then I stamped the sentiment, it's from the same Lawn Fawn set and it actually says 'You are my sunshine' but I left the last word out. I did the diecutting with Simon Says Stamp's stitch edged die and adhered the panel to my card base.

Tämä toinen kortti meni esikoiselle. Käytin siihen Tiddly Inksin sankaria, jonka väritin Polychromoksilla ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Taustan tein Tim Holtzin sabluunalla ja Distress Inkeillä. Tekstileimat ovat FinnStamperin ja lisänä vain sydännapit.

This next card was for our eldest son. I used the superhero from a Tiddly Inks stamp set, coloured him with Polychromos pencils and adhered with foam adhesives. I made the background with a Tim Holtz stencil and some Distress Inks. I used two different sentiments in this card, and together, translated loosely, they say 'Have a lovely day friend'. As embellies, I used some heart shaped buttons.

Tämä viimeinen kortti meni kuopukselle. Käytin siihen DoodleFactoryn ampparia, jonka väritin ProMarkereilla ja siipiin lisäsin vähän Wink of Stellaa. Taustalle stanssasin huovasta sydämen Sizzixin stanssilla. Taustapaperi taitaa olla Echo Parkia, lisänä FinnStamperin tekstileima, sydännappi ja muutama Liquid Pearls -tippa.

This last card was for our youngest son. I used the sweet bee from DoodleFactory for this card, I coloured him with ProMarkers and added some clear Wink of Stella for his wings. I die cut the blue heart out of felt with a Sizzix die, added the sentiment (it says 'Hugs' in Finnish), a heart shaped button and some Liquid Pearls dots. The patterned paper is by Echo Park.
