Penny Black & The Flower Challenge -muistutus/reminder

Tällä kertaa minulla on tuplapostaus, sillä yhdistän The Flower Challengen muistutuskortin ja Penny Blackin Simplicity Sister -kortin yhteen ja samaan korttiin. The Flower Challengellä on 2-vuotisjuhlat tämän haasteen myötä, joten palkintojakin on tarjolla. Aiheenahan oli 'Add Sparkle' eli säihkettä ja kimallusta kukkakorttiin tarvittaisiin.

Tähän korttiin leimasin kukan Penny Blackin Happy Together -setistä ruskealla musteella ja jätin leiman Mistiin kiinni. Samoin tein tekstileiman (Penny Blackin Just Believe -setistä) kanssa. Tämän jälkeen väritin leimakuvan Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja annoin kuivua, minkä jälkeen laitoin leimakuvan takaisin Mistiin ja leimasin sekä kukan että tekstin päälle Delicata Golden Glitz -musteella moneen kertaan. Tästä tuli leimakuvaan aivan ihana kimallus, joka luonnossa näyttää todella nätiltä - toivottavasti sen kuvistakin näkee. Lisäksi roiskin vielä hieman Distress Stainia (Tarnished Brass) leimakuvaan. Sitten stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Snowflake Stitch Frames -setin stansseilla ja kiinnitin sen pinkille kartongille, jonka leikkasin tasan paneelin kokoiseksi. Näin pinkkiä kartonkia ei näy reunoilta yhtään, mutta noista pienistä rei'istä kyllä. Sitten kerrostin paneelin kuviopaperille (Penny Blackin Beau Jardin -paperikosta) ja korttipohjaan kiinni.

It's a double post from me today as I'm combining my reminder card for The Flower Challenge and my Simplicity Sister card for Penny Black into one card. The Flower Challenge is in full swing, it's our 2nd birthday so do come and celebrate with us - there are even prizes to be won ;) The theme is 'Add Sparkle'.

To make this card, I stamped the flower image from the Penny Black set 'Happy Together' in brown ink onto watercolour cardstock and I left the stamp in my Misti. I did the same with the sentiment stamp which is from the Penny Black set 'Just Believe'. Then I watercoloured my image with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and let it dry. Then I placed the cardstock back in my Misti and stamped the image and the sentiment several times using Delicata Golden Glitz ink. This gives beautiful shimmer to the stamped image, it's really pretty in real life and I hope it shows in the photos too. I also splattered some Distress Stain in Tarnished Brass onto the image after which I die cut the panel with a die from the 'Snowflake Stitch Frames' set by Penny Black. Then I layered the panel onto some pink cardstock and cut it to make it the same size as my die cut panel. This way you don't have any pink cardstock showing from underneath the image, only from the little die cut holes. To finish the card, I layered the panel onto patterned paper from the 'Beau Jardin' paper pad by Penny Black before adhering it onto my card base.

The Flower Challenge: Kimallusta - Add Sparkle

The Flower Challengen haaste #25 pyörähtää käyntiin tänään ja pyörähtääkin juhlien merkeissä, sillä The Flower Challenge täyttää tänään 2 vuotta! Juhlan kunniaksi on taas palkintojakin tarjolla ;) Aiheena on juhlaan sopivasti 'Add Sparkle' eli säihkettä, kimallusta tai blingiä pitäisi kortista kukkien lisäksi löytyä.

Minä tein korttini Pretty Pink Poshin Wild Rose -setin leimoilla. Väritin kukat Copiceilla ja lisäsin roimasti kirkasta Wink of Stellaa niihin. Taustan stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla, kiinnitin kukat siihen (osan kohotarroilla), lisäsin tekstileiman ja enamel dotsit ja korttipohjaan kiinni.


It's time for another challenge over at The Flower Challenge and this time we're celebrating as The Flower Challenge turns 2! We also have some prizes up for grabs so please do join us. The theme is fit for a birthday - 'Add Sparkle'. So just make a card with a floral motif, add some sparkle and celebrate with us! 

For my card, I used these pretty flowers by Pretty Pink Posh ('Wild Rose'). I coloured them with my Copic markers, die cut them out and added some clear Wink of Stella on them (please see the close up photo). I die cut the background panel with a die by My Favorite Things, attached my flowers onto it (some with foam adhesives for dimensionality), stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish), added some enamel dots and adhered to light grey card base.

The Flower Challengen haaste #24 on täydessä vauhdissa, mutta vielä on hyvin aikaa osallistua! Aiheena on Anything Goes, eli mitä tahansa voit tehdä, kunhan keskiössä on kukka. Tällä kertaa meillä on myös palkinto voittajalle - $25 lahjakortti CAS-ual Fridays Stampsiin!

Käytin korttiini Altenew'n Sweetest Peas -setin leimaa, jonka embossasin valkoisella ja väritin Zigeillä. Tekstileima on myös tuosta samaisesta setistä. Koko paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan.

The challenge #24 is in full swing over at The Flower Challenge but you still have plenty of time to join us! The theme is nice and easy, Anything Goes, which means you're free to create pretty much anything you like as long as it has florals as the main feature. This time we also have a prize up for grabs - a gift card of $25 to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

I made my card using a stamp from the 'Sweetest Peas' set by Altenew. I heat embossed it in white and coloured with my trusty Zig Markers. The sentiment comes from the same set. I die cut the panel with a die from the 'Stitched Stackers' set by Penny Black and attached it to my card base.

The Flower Challenge!

Tänään minulla on iloisia uutisia - sain nimittäin kunnian liittyä The Flower Challengen Design Teamiin! Olen aivan innoissani tästä, sillä mikäpä olisi minulle parempi haasteblogi kuin kukkahaaste :) Kiitos Viville ja Aileenille tästä mahdollisuudesta ja koko Design Teamille lämpimästä vastaanotosta!

Syyskuussa The Flower Challengessä on mukavan helppo aihe, Anything Goes. Aihe on siis vapaa, kunhan siinä on keskiössä kukka tai useampi. Nyt kannattaa osallistua, sillä meillä on myös palkinto voittajalle - $25:n lahjakortti CAS-ual Fridays Stampsiin.

Käytin kortissani Concord&9thin Painted Rose -leimaa, jonka väritin Polychromoksilla. Taustalle leimasin Hero Artsin ikivanhalla taustaleimalla ja Altenew'n harmaalla musteella suorakaiteen ja tekstileimana käytin Heidin Korttipajan leimaa. Kiinnitin ruusun kohotarroilla, mutta ennen sitä roiskin taustalle hieman kultasuihketta. Lopuksi kiinnitin muutaman kultaisen enamel dotsin koristeeksi.

I have some happy news to share today - I have the huge honour of joining the Design Team over at The Flower Challenge! I am beyond thrilled about this, I love creating with flower stamps so to be able to join The Flower Challenge is just a dream come true. I want to thank Viv and Aileen for this opportunity and the whole Design Team for the warm welcome! :)

But now onto the challenge. We have a nice and easy challenge for September with the theme of Anything Goes. So create whatever your heart desires as long as you use a flower motif. And please do consider joining us as we have a prize for the winner of the September challenge - a gift card of $25 to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

For my first DT card, I used the gorgeous 'Painted Rose' stamp by Concord&9th which I coloured with my Polychromos coloured pencils. For the background I used an old Hero Arts background stamp and some grey Altenew ink. The sentiment stamp is in Finnish and it says 'Congratulating you'. Before adhering my flower with some foam adhesives, I added a few splatters of gold spray with my watercolour brush and as finishing touches I used a few golden enamel dots.

Flower Challenge -muistutus - The Flower Challenge reminder

Nyt on aika muistutella The Flower Challengesin haasteesta, jossa minulla on kunnia olla vieraana. Aihe on siis one layer card, ei kerroksia, ei liimattavia koristeita, vain yhden tason kortti kukka-aiheella. Tein omani Concord and 9th:n Lily-leimalla, jonka leimasin suoraan neliökorttipohjaan. Tekstileima on samasta setistä. Leimaamisen jälkeen maskasin korttipohjaan neliön, jonka reunoja mustetin Distress Oxidella.

It's time to remind you of the current challenge over at The Flower Challenge where I have the honour of being the Guest Designer this month. The theme is One Layer Card, so no additional layers, just stamping on the card base. And remember to use a flower image. I made my card using the 'Lily' stamp by Concord & 9th, I stamped it straight to the card base as I did the sentiment too. After stamping, I masked a square on to the card base and sponged some Distress Ink to the edges. And that's it, a simple one layer card!

Vieraana Flower Challengessä - Guesting at The Flower Challenge

Elokuussa minulla on kunnia olla vieraana The Flower Challengesissä, jossa kuukauden haasteena on 'One Layer Card'. Ei siis kerroksia tai liimattavia koristeita, vain "yhden tason kortti", jossa pääosassa on kukkaleima. Omaan korttiini tein ensin tuon boordin maskaamalla ja Distress Oxidea levittämällä. Siihen päälle lisäsin vielä sydämiä levittämällä pinkkiä Distress Oxidea Create a Smilen sapluunan läpi. Leimakuva on Stamping Bellan Mason Jar of Flowers, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Tekstileima on Simon Says Stampia.

I have the huge honour of being the Guest Designer for the month of August for The Flower Challenge. Thank you so much, Viv and Aileen, for having me! :) The challenge for August is One Layer Card, so no layers, no additional embellishments - just one layer with a floral image. I created my card by first creating the pink border on my card base by masking and sponging on some Distress Oxide ink. I then added the hearts by sponging another pink Distress Oxide ink through a stencil by Create a Smile Stamps. The floral image is a Stamping Bella stamp called 'Mason Jar of Flowers' which I coloured with my Copic markers. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.
