Rakkaudella - With love

Vuoden ensimmäisen kortin tein yhdellä lempileimoistani, joka on Penny Blackin Centerpiece. Väritin sen vesiväreillä ja koristelin paljeteilla. Tekstileima on Penny Blackin Snippets-setistä, sen embossasin valkoisella. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Pennyn Beau Jardin -paperikosta.

I'm starting my crafty new year with a card that I made with one of my favourite stamps. This is by Penny Black and it's called 'Centerpiece'. I coloured it with my watercolours. The sentiment is from the set 'Snippets' by Penny Black, I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I matted the panel onto some grey card stock and embellished it with clear sequins. For the background, I used patterned paper from 'Beau Jardin' paper pad by Penny Black.

Mallin mukaan - CASEing a card

Inkspirational-haasteblogissa on menossa hauska haaste, jossa pyydetään CASEamaan jotain omaa aikaisempaa korttia tai jonkun muun tekemään korttia. Päätin CASEta Desert Diva Hannelie Besterin kaunista korttia, alla näet sekä Hannelien kortin että minun versioni siitä. Omaan korttiini käytin Ellen Hutsonin Mondo Sakura -leimaa, jonka väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Stanssaukset Hero Artsin suorakulmioilla. Dekoretten tekstileiman embossasin valkoisella.

There's a fun challenge going on at Inkspirational challenge blog, we're asked to CASE a card, either our own or someone else's. I thought it would be fun to CASE someone else so I chose this gorgeous card by Hannelie Bester from Desert Diva (you'll find both Hannelie's card and my version of it below). For my card, I used the 'Mondo Sakura' stamp by Ellen Hutson which I coloured with Altenew watercolours. I die cut the rectangles with Hero Arts dies and heat embossed the sentiment in white (it says 'On your special day' in Finnish).

Merkkipäivänä - On your special day

Tällainen kortti syntyi Altenew'n Perfectly Perfect -setin kukilla. Embossasin ne kultaisella jauheella ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Dekoretten tekstileimankin embossasin. Taustalle roiskin vesiväriä ja laitoin muutaman tipan mustaa enamel accentsia.

I used my new Altenew stamps for the first time for this card. They're from the set 'Perfectly Perfect'. I heat embossed them in gold and coloured with Altenew watercolours. I also heat embossed the sentiment in gold (it says, loosely translated, 'On your special day' in Finnish). For the background, I splattered some watercolours and added a few drops of black enamel accents.

Kukat - Flowers

Käytin uusia Altenew'n leimojani ensimmäistä kertaa, nämä ihanat kukat ovat Cherished Memories -setistä. Väritin ne Copiceilla. Lisäksi vain tekstileima ja jokunen musta paljetti.

I made a CAS card using my new Altenew stamps, these are from the set 'Cherished Memories'. I coloured them with my Copics, stamped the sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish) and added some black sequins to embellish.

Pingviinejä - Penguins

Tein kaikki nämä kolme korttia samalla kaavalla, mutta sentään eri pingviineillä. Pingviinit ovat siis My Favorite Thingsin Sweet Holiday Penguins -setistä ja Altenew'n vesiväreillä väritetyt. Taustan kehyksen ja bannerin stanssasin niin ikään MFT:n stansseilla. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja muutama enamel dotsi koristeeksi.

Made these three Christmas cards with the cutest penguins around, I just love these penguins! They're from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things, I coloured them with my Altenew watercolours. I used MFT dies to cut the frames and the banners, and used some patterned papers for the backgrounds and some enamel dots as embellishments.

Joulutähti - Poinsettia

Simppeli joulukortti Penny Blackin kauniilla Sparkler-leimalla. Tämäkin on niin kaunis leima, ettei paljoa seurakseen kaipaa. Väritin kukan Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Antique Frame -setin stanssilla ja mustetin reunat Distress Oxide -musteella. Tekstileima on Stampendousin. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja paneeliin vielä roiskeita kultasuihkeella ja siinäpä se.

I made this simple Christmas card with the gorgeous Penny Black stamp called 'Sparkler'. It's such a beautiful stamp that I decided the image can stand pretty much alone on a card and still look lovely. I coloured the flower with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and die cut the panel with 'Antique Frame' die by Penny Black. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink on the edges and stamped my sentiment in black (the sentiment says 'Christmas Peace' in Finnish). I added some splatters of gold spray to the panel using my watercolour brush and used a piece of patterned paper for the background.

Joulukimppuja - Christmas bouquets

Innostuin värittelemään tätä WPlus9:n Christmas Rose Bouquet -leimakuvaa useamman ja samalla kokeilin eri värikombinaatioita. Muuten tein kortit samalla kaavalla, taustalle kuviopaperia MFT:n ommelreunastanssilla stanssattuna, tekstin stanssasin Heidin Korttipajan stanssilla kultakartongista ja koristeiksi laitoin kultaisia paljetteja (vaikka osa kovin mustilta kuvissa näyttääkin). Väritykset tein Altenew'n vesiväreillä.

The 'Christmas Rose Bouquet' stamp by WPlus9 is a dream to colour so when I had a little time, I coloured several of them, at the same time trying out different colour combinations. Otherwise the cards are of the same mold, I die cut some patterned paper with the stitch edge die by MFT for the background, die cut the sentiment (it says 'Christmas Peace' in Finnish) out of gold cardstock and added some golden sequins as embellishments (they are golden although they look quite black in the photos...). Oh, and I coloured the images with my Altenew watercolours.

Pingviini - Penguin

Lisää pingviinejä! Tämäkin suloisuus on My Favorite Thingsin Sweet Holiday Penguins -setistä ja vesiväreillä väritetty. Taustan paneeliin stanssasin kuvion Memory Boxin stanssilla ja kiinnitin sekä paneelin että pingun kohotarroilla. Tekstileiman embossasin valkoisella jauheella.

Another penguin at large! This cutie is from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things and coloured with watercolours. I die cut the circle in the red panel with a Memory Box die and adhered the panel and the penguin with foam adhesives. I then heat embossed the sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year') with white embossing powder.

Penny Black: Joulukuusi - Christmas Tree

Joulukortti Penny Blackin tyyliin! Käytin tähän suloisia hiiriä Gather Around -setistä, väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Tekstileima on Joyful Wishes -setistä, embossasin sen valkoisella ja stanssasin paneelin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Holiday Trimmings -paperikosta. Leimakuvan ja tekstipaneelin kiinnitin tarrapaloilla ja koristeeksi laitoin hieman nyöriä ja muutaman paljetin.

I've got a Christmas card made with Penny Black products to show you today. The stamped image with the cute mice is from the 'Gather Around' set, I stamped it onto watercolour cardstock, coloured with my Zig Markers and fussy cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment from the 'Joyful Wishes' set with white embossing powder and die cut the panel with a die from the 'Stitched Stackers' set. For the background, I used patterned paper from the 'Holiday Trimmings' paper pad. I attached the panel and the stamped image with foam adhesive so they are a bit raised. I embellished my card with some twine and a few red sequins.

Joulupingviini - Christmas penguin

Tämä on kiireisin syksy hetkeen, joten en ole oikein edes joulukortteja ehtinyt tehdä. Eilen kuitenkin sain tehtyä jokusen ja tässä niistä ensimmäinen näytille. Käytin tähän MFT:n ihanaa joulupingviiniä, jonka väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Taustalla Papertrey Inkin stanssilla stanssattu kuvio, kuviopaperia ja nyöriä. Lisäksi tekstileima.

I've been so busy this autumn that I haven't even had a chance to make as many Christmas cards as I'd need. Yesterday, however, I made a few and here's the first one. The cutest of the cute penguin is a stamp by MFT, I coloured the penguin with my Altenew watercolours. I placed him on a die cut that I cut with a Papertrey Ink die. I added a bit of patterned paper, some twine and the sentiment (it says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish).

Hulvattoman hauskaa - Ridiculously happy

Tämä olisi ehkä pitänyt laittaa näytille eilen, olisi hyvin sopinut Halloweenin teemaan, mutta enpä huomannut :D Tämä on itse asiassa syntymäpäiväkortti, jonka tein joku aika sitten 15 vuotta täyttäneelle veljenpojalleni, unohdin vain silloin postata sen. Tein tähän taustan Distress Oxideilla ja stanssasin irti MFT:n stanssilla. Paneeliin embossasin mustalla leimakuvan (Stampotiquen 3 smiles) ja tekstileiman ja kiinnitin mustaan korttipohjaan.

I probably should have posted this card yesterday as it would have fitted the theme of Halloween ;D even though it is actually a birthday card I made for my nephew some time ago when he turned 15 (I forgot to post it back then). I made the background by sponging some Distress Oxide inks onto cardstock (it was more vibrant in real life but somehow looks a bit dull in the photo) and then I die cut the panel with an MFT die. After the inks were dry, I heat embossed the stamped image ('3 Smiles' by Stampotique) and the sentiment (roughly translated as 'Have a ridiculously happy birthday') in black. Then I just adhered the panel onto black card blank.

There's so much to be thankful for - little things, big things and even miracles! And so thankfulness is the theme of my card today. As my main image, I used the beautiful vase with flowers from Penny Black's set 'Berries Delight'. I stamped it onto some Ranger watercolour cardstock and coloured with my Gansai Tambi watercolours. The sentiment comes from the 'Pretty Petals' set by Penny Black. I die cut the border with Penny Black's 'Curved Stitch' die and added some patterned paper to the background, it's from the 'Painted Blooms' pad by Penny Black.

Jääkarhu - Polar Bear

Tämän joulukortin tein MFT:n luonnoshaasteeseen. Jääkarhu on MFT:n Polar Bear Pals -setistä ja Altenew'n vesiväreillä väritetty. Taustalle mustetin ympyrän Distress Inkillä ja tekstileiman embossasin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin. Seuraksi vähän kuviopaperia ja enamel dotseja.

I made this Christmas card for the MFT sketch challenge. I used the cute polar bear from the 'Polar Bear Pals' set by MFT and watercoloured him with my Altenew watercolours. I sponged some Distress Ink to the cardstock to create the circle behind the polar bear. I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with an MFT die. Lastly I added a bit of patterned paper and some enamel dots to the card.

Vaasillinen kukkia - A vase full of flowers

Vaihteeksi taas kortti ilman tekstileimaa. Tämä leimakuva on niin ihana värittää ja kaunis itsessään, että ajattelin, ettei se tarvitse sen kummempaa seurakseen. Lisäksi vielä CASEsin itseäni :D ja tein vielä vähän yksinkertaisemman version tästä kortista, jonka tein maaliskuussa. Väritys taas Distress Oxideilla, paitsi pöytä Zigillä ja tausta Distress Stainilla. Hieman roiskeita Oxideilla ja sitten vain kerrostus kartongille ja korttipohjaan.

I decided to CASE myself :D and made  a simpler version of this card that I made in March. Decided not to use a sentiment as I thought this stamp is so beautiful in itself and should thus take the center stage. I coloured the image with Distress Oxide inks, except the table for which I used a Zig Marker and the background for which I used Distress Stain. A few splatters of Distress Oxide for interest, and then I just matted the image onto cardstock before adhering to card base.

Kolmin kappalein - Three cards

Winnie&Walterilla on meneillään World Cardmaking Day 2018 -haasteet, joihin ajattelin osallistua näillä. Ensimmäinen kortti on ink blending -haasteeseen. Käytin siihen kukkaa In Bloom -sarjan Anna's Flora -setistä ja lehtiä saman sarjan Elsa's Flora -setistä. Mustetin ne Distress Oxide -musteilla ja leikkasin irti. Korttipohjaan mustetin niin ikään Distress Oxidella suorakaiteen ja leimasin tekstileiman. Koristeina muutama kirkas paljetti.

Winnie&Walter are running World Cardmaking Day 2018 challenges and I'm participating with these three cards. The first one is for the Ink Blending challenge. I used the flower from the In Bloom: Anna's Flora set and leaves from the In Bloom: Elsa's Flora set. I blended some Distress Oxide inks on them and fussy cut them out. I created the rectangle on the card base with Distress Oxide as well. Then I stamped my sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) and added some clear sequins.

Tämä toinen kortti on Lucky 7 Limit -haasteeseen, jossa sai käyttää yhteensä vain seitsemää "asiaa": leimasettiä, stanssia, väriä.. Käytin tähän oksaa Anna's Flora -setistä ja tekstileimaa Penny Blackiltä. Oksan väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä ja paneelin stanssasin Hero Artsin stanssilla. Lisäksi vain yksi paljetti. Eli yhteensä 2 leimasettiä, yksi stanssi, yksi väri (neutraaleja ei lasketa) ja yksi koriste = 5.

This second card is for the Lucky 7 Limit challenge. For this I used a branch from the Anna's Flora set and sentiment from Penny Black. I coloured the branch with Altenew's watercolours and die cut the panel with a Hero Arts die. As embellishment, there's one clear sequin. So all in all 2 stamp sets, one die, one colour (neutrals don't count) and one embellishment = 5.

Viimeinen kortti on Clean and Simple -haasteeseen. Sitä varten taittelin korttipohjan vesivärikartongista ja leimasin kukan ja varren Anna's Flora -setistä ja väritin ne Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Lisäksi leimasin vain tekstileiman.

The last card is for the Clean and Simple challenge. I folded the card base from watercolour card, stamped the flower and the stem (from Anna's Flora set) and coloured them with Altenew watercolours. Then I stamped my sentiment (again 'Congrats' in Finnish).

Halauksin - Hugs

Vähän syksyisempi kortti tällä kertaa. Leimakuvana tässä on Purple Onion Designsin Elliott, jonka leimasin Paper Smoochesin stanssilla stanssattuun paneeliin ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Lehtioksa on Penny Blackin stanssi ja samoin tekstileima on Pennyä. Taustalla on Lili of the Valley'n kuviopaperia, jonka stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Koristeiksi laitoin hieman nyöriä, enamel dotseja ja vesiväriroiskeita.

I made my first autumn card for this year. I used 'Elliott' by Purple Onion Designs in it, I stamped him on watercolour paper panel that I die cut with a Paper Smooches die and coloured him with my Altenew watercolours. The branch is die cut with a Penny Black die, and the sentiment is by Penny Black too. I die cut the background paper (by Lili of the Valley) with a die by My Favorite Things. As embellishments, I used a bit of twine, some enamel dots and few splatters of watercolour.

Vaaleanpunainen ruusu - Pink rose

Tämä Concord&9th:in ruusu on kyllä sitten ihana! Kyseessä on siis Painted Rose -leima, väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti. Ruusu itsessään on niin iso ja näyttävä, että kovin paljoa en taustalle laittanut, vain vähän kuviopaperia, Penny Blackin Ribbon Stackers -stanssilla stanssatun kehyksen, tekstileiman ja jokusen paljetin.

I love this rose by Concord&9th! This gorgeousness is called 'Painted Rose'. I coloured it with my Zig Markers and die cut it out. I wanted the rose to take center stage so I didn't add much else there, just a bit of patterned paper, a frame die cut with Penny Black's 'Ribbon Stackers' die, stamped sentiment (it says something like 'Congratulating you' in Finnish), and some sequins.

Leijaa lennättämässä - Kite flying

Unohdin postata tämän toisen synttärikortin, jonka veljenpojalleni tein (ensimmäinen oli siis tämä). Tämän hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa, joten ajattelin tehdä siitä hieman perinteisemmän. Leimakuva on Docraftsin Kite Flying, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Lisäksi korttiin laitoin vain nuo Memory Boxin stansseilla stanssatut numerot.

I made another birthday card for my nephew but forgot to post it, so here it is (this is the first one). This was given to him by his grandparents so I thought I'd make it a bit more traditional looking. The stamped image is 'Kite Flying' by Docrafts and I coloured it with my Zig Markers before die cutting the panel with a My Favorite Things die. I added the numbers die cut with Memory Box dies before attaching the panel to the card base.

Vaasillinen ruusuja - Rose Bowl

Tässä kortissa yhdistyy ehkä kaikki, mistä pidän: kukat, vesiväritys ja vaaleanpunainen :) Leimakuva tässä on Penny Blackin ihana Rose Bowl, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin Stitched Square & Circles -setin stanssilla niin, että tuo yksi lehti jäi stanssauksen ulkopuolelle. Kerrostin sen vielä vaaleanpunaiselle kartongille. Tekstileima on Friendship Flowers -setistä ja taustapaperi  Beau Jardin -paperikosta.

I think this card combines everything I love: flowers, watercolouring and the colour pink :) The stamped image is 'Rose Bowl' by Penny Black. I watercoloured it with my Zig Markers and die cut the panel with a die from the 'Stitched Square & Circles' set, but left one of the leaves hanging out of the panel. Sain tilauksen 40-vuotiskortista naiselle ja päätin käyttää siihen Altenew'n ihanaa Leaf Canopy -settiä. Embossasin lehdet kullalla ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Korttipohjaan maskasin ja mustetin Distress Oxideilla tuon raidan, johon roiskin muutaman pisaran vettä, että sain sen vähän elävämmäksi. Kun roiskimisen makuun pääsin, roiskin vielä kultasuihkettakin korttipohjaan :D Lopuksi vielä FinnStamperin tekstileima ja Memory Boxin stansseilla numerot. Lehtioksat kiinnitin vain yläreunasta korttipohjaan niin, että alareuna jäi vähän koholle.

A friend of mine needed a birthday card for her female friend who's turning 40 and I made her this. I used the gorgeous 'Leaf Canopy' set by Altenew which I heat embossed in gold and watercoloured with Altenew watercolours. For the background, I masked the stripe and sponged it with Distress Oxide ink and added a few splatters of water to it to lift the ink. After that I added a few more splatters with gold spray to the background. I then stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) and added the numbers (die cut with Memory Box dies). I attached the branches with strong tape so that the lower parts are free so they are loose from the background.
