Lisää joulukortteja! - Christmas cards galore!

Tässä tulee vielä viimeiset tämän vuoden joulukortit ilman sen kummempia höpinöitä. Kahdessa ensimmäisessä käytin BasicGreyn Eskimo kisses -papereita ja Sugar Nellien Pip with presents -leimasinta.

Here are the last of this year's Christmas cards. I used Eskimo kisses papers by BasicGrey and Pip with presents rubber stamp by Sugar Nellie in the first two cards.


Hero Artsin Snowflake circle -leimasin on mielestäni sen verran kaunis, ettei se kaipaa paljoakaan seurakseen. Näissä korteissa embossasin sen kimalteisella mustalla, kimalteisella hopealla ja punaisella ja tein niistä joulupallot (tietenkään tuo kimalle ei kuvissa näy, mutta usko pois, kyllä se siellä on! ;) ).

I think the Hero Arts' stamp Snowflake circle is so beautiful on its own that it doesn't really need many embellishments. Here I embossed it with sparkly black, sparkly silver and plain red embossing powder and made it into a Christmas bauble. You can't really see the sparkle in the piccies but it is there!

Penny Blackin Adornment-leimasimen kanssa menin samalla yksinkertaisella linjalla.

I made similar simple (but chic - hopefully!) cards with the Adornment rubber stamp by Penny Black.

Joulukortteja! - Christmas cards!

Kuten edellisessä postauksessa lupasinkin, tässä tulee nyt pläjäys joulukortteja. Jokusen joulukortin ehdin kaikesta huolimatta tehdä, mutta enemmänkin olisi voinut. Jälleen kerran siis lupaan pyhästi aloittaa joulukorttien teon ajoissa ensi vuonna... ;) Koska tähän postaukseen tulee melko paljon kuvia, lopetan höpinät tähän enkä kommentoi niitä sen enempää. Kaikkiin kortteihin on käytetty Graphic45:n ihania Christmas Past -papereita. Niin ja kiitos Pöydän kulmalla näpertelijä, vinkkisi avulla sain kerrankin rusetit onnistumaan suhteellisen helposti! :)

I promised in the last post that I'd show you some Christmas cards this time. After all, I did manage to make a few, although a few more would not have gone amiss. Therefore, once again I solemnly swear I will start making Christmas cards early next year... ;) I have used some lovely Christmas Past papers by Graphic45 in these cards.

Vihdoinkin uusi postaus! Kuvahan kertoo enemmän kuin 1000 sanaa, joten koko syksyn ajan esiintyneen ajoittaisen postailemattomuuden selittänee seuraava kuva (vaikkakaan kuvassa en siis ole minä ;) )...

Finally I'm posting something! They say that a picture is worth a 1000 words so the next pic might just explain why I've been such an on-off blogger the whole autumn (and to be clear: no, it's not me in the piccie ;) )...

Eli kevään korvilla meille on tulossa pieni ihminen! :) Tämän pienen ihmisen kasvattaminen on vienyt sen verran paljon energiaa, että kortteilu on jäänyt melko vähälle ja bloggailu vielä vähemmälle. Lisäksi vapaa-ajasta on vienyt osansa talo-projekti, joka alkaa pian olla lopuillaan ja talo muuttovalmis. Eiköhän tässä pian riitä aika ja energia kortteihinkin, sormet jo ainakin syyhyävät!

So yes, we are expecting a perfect little Someone and s/he is due in the spring! :) This little Someone has taken up quite a bit of my energy, so much so that there hasn't been much left for making cards, let alone blogging. We're also building our own house so that has taken up my energy as well. The house is almost finished and we should be able to move in in the near future so maybe I'll have some extra time and energy to make cards as well.

Sain aikaisemmin syksyllä Pöydän kulmalla näpertelijältä tunnustuksen, joka häpeäkseni on myös jäänyt bloggaamatta (anteeksi!). Olen tunnustuksesta oikeasti erittäin otettu ja se ilostuttaa minua edelleen - bloggaamattomuus ei siis tarkoita, ettenkö arvostaisi tunnustusta! Siispä iso kiitos, Pöydän kulmalla näpertelijä! Tunnustukseen liittyi viiden tärkeän asian listaaminen. Minulla ne ovat läheiset ihmiset, terveys, koti, harrastukset ja työ. Bonuksena päälle voisi vielä laittaa meidän ihanat karvanaamat, eli assarini ;) En nyt anna tätä eteenpäin kenellekään tietylle, mutta mikäli sen haluat, niin ole hyvä ja ota!

Papertake Weekly #27

Vihdoinkin joulukortti! Näiden kanssa tulee taas tänä vuonna kiire, mutta... Noh, kuitenkin osallistun tällä kortilla Papertake Weekly Challengeen, jossa vuorossa on luonnos nro 27 . Kortti kuvautui hieman huonosti, oikeasti tuo punainen kartonki, jolle enkeli on leimattu, on melko saman punainen kuin kortissa oleva punainen paperi mutta kuvassa ne kyllä näyttävät täysin eri värisiltä :/

Finally a Christmas card! I haven't made as many Christmas cards as I should've by now but there's still time - I hope... Anyways, I submit this card to Papertake Weekly Challenge, sketch #27. Thank you for this beautiful sketch! Unfortunately, the card didn't photograph that well, the red cardstock with the angel on it is in real life similar to the red in the paper but the photo doesn't show it :/

Isänpäiväkortti #2 - Father's Day card #2

Olipa mukava herätä tänä aamuna, kun koko maailma oli yön aikana muuttunut valkoiseksi! :) Tänne oli satanut useita senttejä lunta, maa oli ihan valkoisena ja puut raskaina lumesta eikä silti ollut kovin kylmä - ihanaa! Pysyisipä lumi nyt vain maassa, ettei tarvitsisi kärsiä mustasta ja pimeästä marraskuusta ollenkaan.

It was such a thrill to wake up this morning - the whole world (well, yes, the little corner of Finland where I live is obviously the whole world... ;) ) had turned all white during the night! There were, and still is, several centimetres of snow on the ground, everything is white and the trees are heaving with snow and it's not even that cold - wonderful! I so hope we get to keep the snow and it won't melt away as it'd be so good to avoid the "normal" November (i.e. wet and dark November).

Tämän päivän kortti on isänpäiväkortti omalle isälleni. Kortit miehille ovat aina jotenkin vaikeita tehdä, paperit ja leimakuvat eivät saa olla liian hempeitä, koristeita ei saa olla liikaa eivätkä ne saa olla tyttömäisiä (ja valtaosa koristeista tuntuu olevan enemmän tai vähemmän tyttömäisiä) mutta silti joitakin koristeita pitäisi olla jne. Tähän korttiin olen kuitenkin tyytyväinen, siitä tuli mielestäni tarpeeksi miehekäs mutta ei kuitenkaan karu - mitä mieltä sinä olet?

Today's card is a father's day card for my own dad. I always find it difficult to make cards for men as the papers and stamped images cannot be too sweet and cute, you can't use too many embellishments and the ones you do use can't be too girly (and let's face it - most of the embellishments are quite girly), etc. But as it happens, I'm quite happy with this card, I think it's manly enough without being too bare - what do you think?
