Pionipuketti - Peonies

Pionipukettia näytille :) Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Pretty Peonies -setin leimoja, jotka leimasin Heron musteilla. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä. Lisänä paljetteja ja kerrostus kultakartongille. Siinäpä se! :)

I stamped these flowers with the 'Pretty Peonies' set by WPlus9 using Hero Arts inks. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink. To keep it simple, I only used some sequins as embellies and layered the front panel onto some gold cardstock. That's it! :)

Kukka - Flower

Taas tällainen perussimppeli kortti näytille. Embossasin tuon Clearly Besottedin kukkasen valkoisella ja vesiväritin Twinkling H2O -väreillä (väritys näyttää ihan hirveältä kuvassa, mutta oikeasti se on paljon parempi, mitä lie kuvatessa sattunut...). Tekstileima on myös Clearly Besottedia. Stanssaus Simon Says Stampin ommelstanssilla ja taustalle Lili of the Valleyn paperia, ja siinäpä se.

I've got a very simple card to show you today. I heat embossed the flower stamp by Clearly Besotted (from the 'Fresh Flowers' set) with white embossing powder and watercoloured it with Twinkling H2O watercolours (and the colouring looks horrible in the picture, but in real life it is far prettier - don't know why it photographed so badly..). The sentiment is from the same stamp set by CB. I die cut the image with stitched rectangles die by Simon Says Stamp, matted it onto some brown cardstock and then onto patterned paper by Lili of the Valley. And there it is, sweet and simple :)

Perhonen - Butterfly

P*skarteluhaasteessa on tarjolla värihaaste (vaaleanpunainen-oranssi-keltainen) ja siitäpä inspiroituneena syntyi tämä kortti. Taustan leima on Clearly Besottedin Building Blocks -setistä, perhonen puolestaan on Papertrey Inkin Beautiful Butterflies -setin leimalla ja stanssilla tehty. Tekstileima on Clearly Besottedin Fresh Flowers -setistä. Lisänä hieman kultalankaa ja liquid pearls -tippoja. Kaikki musteet Hero Artsia, kartongit Papermanian tekstuuripintaista kartonkia.

The Finnish challenge blog P*skarteluhaaste is hosting a colour challenge this week, and you should use pink-orange-yellow colour combo in your card. I used Clearly Besotted and Papertrey Ink stamps on my card: the background is stamped with a stamp from CB 'Building Blocks' set and the sentiment is from CB 'Fresh Flowers' set. The butterfly is stamped and die cut with PTI 'Beautiful Butterflies' set. I added some gold string and a few drops of Liquid Pearls to complete the card. The cardstock is Papermania's textured cardstock and all the inks are by Hero Arts.

Onnistunut virhe - Happy accident

Vaihteeksi näytille kortti, johon olen itse todella tyytyväinen :) Tein korttipohjan ja tuon paneelin Papermanian tekstuuripintaisesta kartongista ja maskasin paneelin osittain post-it -lapuilla. Maskaamattoman osan mustetin Distress Inkeillä ja  embossasin päälle kullalla Penny Blackin ihanan All You Need... -leiman, tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä ja niinikään embossattu. Lisänä hieman kultaista narua ja lopulta paneelin kiinnitys kohotarroilla. Jos tarkkaan katsot, näet leimakuvan ympärillä irtohiukkasia embossausjauhetta - onnistunut virhe! :D Distress Inkit olivat vielä hieman kosteita, kun embossasin tuon Pennyn leiman ja siihen tarttui embossausjauhetta. Kiroilin aluksi kuin merimies, kun huomasin sen (tai siis, kröhöm, olisin kiroillut kuin merimies, jos kiroilisin... kröhöm... ;D ) mutta hetken sitä katseltuani, se alkoikin näyttää ihan kivalta, kuin keijupölyltä (tai siitepölyltä, jos haluaa järkevämmän selityksen ;) ), joten loppuvaiheessa lisäilin embossausjauhetta leimakuvan ympärille ja embossasin kiinni. Ja edelleen se näyttää mielestäni kivalta :)

I'm quite pleased with how this card turned out (that doesn't happen too often, I have to say). The cardbase and the panel is textured white cardstock by Papermania. I masked part of the panel with post-it notes and inked the unmasked part with Distress Inks, then I heat embossed the gorgeous 'All You Need...' stamp by Penny Black with gold tinsel embossing powder. The sentiment (from a PTI set) is heat embossed as well. Then I added some gold string and adhered the panel with foam adhesives. If you look closely, you'll see some loose flakes of embossing powder around the stamped image - that's a happy accident! :) The Distress Inks were still a bit wet when I applied the embossing powder to the stamped image, so loose flakes stuck to the Distress Inks. When I noticed this, I swore like a sailor (I'm glad you couldn't hear me... ;) ) because I thought I had to bin the card but when I looked at it a while, it started to look nice. The loose flakes look like fairy dust (or pollen, if you prefer being more rational ;) ) and I think it was nice so I even added a bit more embossing powder around the image and heat embossed them. I don't know about you, but I kinda like it! :)

Sydämiä ystävälle - Hearts for a friend

Tein jokusen ystävänpäiväkortin ja kuinka ollakaan, niistäkin tuli pyöreitä! :D Ympyrästanssit ovat sekä My Favorite Thingsiä että Lifestyle Craftsiä, taustan sydämet on leimattu Penny Blackin Hearts All Over -leimalla, embossattu valkoisella ja sitten mustetettu Distress Inkeillä. Sydämen stanssasin Sizzixin stanssilla ja leimasin siihen Heron Friend Definition -leimalla ja valkoisella musteella. Tekstileima on FinnStamperia ja leimattu vellumille, lisänä ihuna nappi ja nyöriä.

While in most countries that celebrate Valentine's Day, it is celebrated as a day for love and lovers, in Finland, however, it is known as a day to celebrate friends and friendship. Why am I explaining this to you? Because I made Valentine's Day cards for my friends and I don't want you to get the wrong impression - ha ha! ;D I wanted to make them bright and cheerful, so I used bright and happy colours, and naturally they're round - my favourite card shape of the moment! I stamped the hearts in the background with a Penny Black stamp ('Hearts All Over') and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I sponged the background with Distress Inks. I die cut the heart with a Sizzix die and stamped on it with Hero Arts' 'Friend Definition' background stamp and white Hero Arts ink. The sentiment, stamped on vellum, says 'For a Friend' in Finnish. As embellies, there's a cute button and some May Arts twine.

Yllätys, yllätys - Surprise, surprise

...ympyräkorttihan se taas! :D Tykkään näistä ympyriäisistä korteista, ovat jotenkin mukava malli tehdä. Tähän leikkasin nuo ympyrät My Favorite Thingsin stansseilla, paperit ovat sälälaatikosta ja leimakuva leimattu ja leikattu Heron+Sizzixin kombolla ja väritetty Polychromoksilla. Lisänä vähän May Artsin narua ja muutama helmi.

...it's yet another circle card! :D I just like these circle shaped cards so much, I can't seem to resist making them. For this card, I die cut the circles with My Favorite Things dies. The stamped image is stamped and die cut with a Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die and coloured with Polychromos pencils. The patterned papers are from my box of leftover papers, and I just added some May Arts twine and some sticky back pearls.

Joulukortti!? - A Christmas card!?

Ehei, en ole aloittanut joulukorttirumbaa vielä tälle vuodelle (vaikka ajatuksissa se onkin jo pyörinyt..), tämä on viime vuoden joulukortteja ja löytyi blogin luonnoksista, joten ajattelin nyt kuitenkin laittaa sen näkyville. Kortissa ei sinänsä mitään ihmeellistä ole, leimat ja niiden stanssit ovat Clearly Besottedia, väritys on (muistaakseni) Distress Markereita, paperit ovat Lili of the Valley'ä. Leimakuvan taustalla on palanen kohokuvioitua vellumia ja hieman kultalankaa. Tekstileima on FinnStamperin ja kullalla embossattu.

Oh no, I have not started making my Christmas cards for this year yet - this is one of last year's Christmas cards which I never got round to showing you, so I'm doing it now :) It's a fairly simple card, the stamps and dies used are by Clearly Besotted, I coloured the image with Distress Markers. There's a piece of dry embossed vellum behind the flower basket, as well as some golden thread. The patterned papers are by Lili of the Valley, and the sentiment ('Merry Christmas' in Finnish) is heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
