Tulppaaneja - Tulips

Kun näin tämänkertaisen CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteen luonnoksen, ajattelin tämän STAMPlorationsin tulppaanileiman olevan täydellinen siihen. Leimasin siis tulppaanit tuohon kulmaan, maskasin osittain ja leimasin muutaman tulppaanin lisää tuohon reunaan, että sain tulppaanirivin loppumaan nätisti. Väritin kukat Polychromoksilla, leimasin tekstileiman (sekin STAMPlorationsia) ja kiinnitin paneelin valkoiselle korttipohjalle tarrapaloilla. Jälkiajatuksena lisäsin vielä nuo puolihelmet, mutta en tiedä, oliko se yhtään hyvä idea...

When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!, I thought this gorgeous tulip stamp by STAMPlorations would be perfect for it. So I stamped it once, masked it and then stamped a few more tulips so that the row of tulips would end nicely. I coloured the flowers with Polychromos pencils, and stamped the sentiment (it's a STAMPlorations stamp as well). Then I adhered the panel onto white card blank with foam adhesives, and as an afterthought I added the sticky back pearls. Not sure it was a good idea though...

Saniainen - Fern

Olen jotenkin äärimmäisen ihastunut tähän die cut inlay -tekniikkaan, niitä on kiva näpertää ja lopputulos on yleensä näyttävä. Tällä kertaa näpersin Penny Blackin Fresh Breeze -stanssilla stanssatun saniaisen tuohon korttiin, lisäilin muutaman timantin ja Papertrey Inkin tekstin vellumille ja kortti oli sillä selvä. Kuvasta ei ehkä ihan täysin näy, mutta tuossa on kolmea eri vihreää kartonkia: saniainen on vaalein, korttipohja sitä asteen tummempi ja tummin on tuo pieni reunus valkoisen reunoilla. Kaikki kartongit ovat Papermanian kartonkia, jonka tekstuuripinta tuo mielestäni kivan pienen lisän kortin ulkonäköön.

I really like the die cut inlay technique, it usually gives lovely results and it's fun to make them. I used that technique here with the gorgeous 'Fresh Breeze' die by Penny Black. I only added a few rhinestones to the ferns and the sentiment (by Papertrey Ink) stamped on a strip of vellum, and called it a card :) You can't really tell from the picture, but there are three different greens on the card: the fern is the lightest green, the cardbase is slightly darker, and those thin strips of cardstock on the edges of the white panel are the darkest green. All cardstock is by Papermania, I love their textured cardstocks as I think they add a little interest to cards.

Ilmapallo - Balloon

Minulla on ollut tämä suloinen pupuleima jo hetken aikaa, mutta käytin sitä ensimmäisen kerran tähän korttiin. En oikein osaa päättää, onko tuo pupu iloinen pupu vai surullinen pupu vai vain jotenkin reppana pupu, joten en myöskään osaa päättää, millaisiin kortteihin se oikein sopisi. Josko tällaiseen ikävöimiskorttiin nyt ainakin... Tästä tuli täysin one layer -kortti, taittelin korttipohjan akvarellipaperista, leimasin siihen tuon pupun (Stampotiquen Upward Bound), vesiväritin Distress Markereilla ja leimasin tekstileiman (Simon Says Stampin setistä). Ja siinäpä se, taas kerran :)

I've had this sweet bunny stamp for a while already but this is the first time I use it. I can't really decide whether it is a happy bunny or a sad bunny or what, so I can't decide on what kinds of cards to use it. I guess it suits 'missing you' cards at least.. This is totally a one layer card, I folded the card base from aquarelle paper, stamped the bunny (it's 'Upward Bound' by Stampotique), watercoloured it with Distress Markers and stamped the sentiment (from a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp).

Kukkasia - Softly

Käytin tähän korttiin Penny Blackin ihanaa Softly-leimaa, jonka embossasin valkoisella kraftin väriselle kartongille ja väritin Polychromoksilla. Tekstileima on Simon Says Stampia ja niinikään embossattu valkoisella. Stanssasin paneelin Simon Says Stampin ommelstanssilla ja kiinnitin kermanväriselle korttipohjalle. Sitten lisäilin vielä pieniä pisteitä kukkaseen valkoisella geelikynällä. Eipä siihen muuta tällä(kään) kertaa tullut :)

I love this stamp by Penny Black! It's called 'Softly' and I think it's so pretty and elegant. For this card, I heat embossed it with white embossing powder onto kraft cardstock and coloured it with Polychromos pencils. I added little dots around the flower with white gel pen to accentuate it. The sentiment (from a Simon Says Stamp stamp set) is also heat embossed in white. I die cut the panel with Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles die and adhered it to cream cardbase. And that's it really, a little CAS card! :)

Pionipuketti - Peonies

Pionipukettia näytille :) Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Pretty Peonies -setin leimoja, jotka leimasin Heron musteilla. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä. Lisänä paljetteja ja kerrostus kultakartongille. Siinäpä se! :)

I stamped these flowers with the 'Pretty Peonies' set by WPlus9 using Hero Arts inks. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink. To keep it simple, I only used some sequins as embellies and layered the front panel onto some gold cardstock. That's it! :)

Kukka - Flower

Taas tällainen perussimppeli kortti näytille. Embossasin tuon Clearly Besottedin kukkasen valkoisella ja vesiväritin Twinkling H2O -väreillä (väritys näyttää ihan hirveältä kuvassa, mutta oikeasti se on paljon parempi, mitä lie kuvatessa sattunut...). Tekstileima on myös Clearly Besottedia. Stanssaus Simon Says Stampin ommelstanssilla ja taustalle Lili of the Valleyn paperia, ja siinäpä se.

I've got a very simple card to show you today. I heat embossed the flower stamp by Clearly Besotted (from the 'Fresh Flowers' set) with white embossing powder and watercoloured it with Twinkling H2O watercolours (and the colouring looks horrible in the picture, but in real life it is far prettier - don't know why it photographed so badly..). The sentiment is from the same stamp set by CB. I die cut the image with stitched rectangles die by Simon Says Stamp, matted it onto some brown cardstock and then onto patterned paper by Lili of the Valley. And there it is, sweet and simple :)

Perhonen - Butterfly

P*skarteluhaasteessa on tarjolla värihaaste (vaaleanpunainen-oranssi-keltainen) ja siitäpä inspiroituneena syntyi tämä kortti. Taustan leima on Clearly Besottedin Building Blocks -setistä, perhonen puolestaan on Papertrey Inkin Beautiful Butterflies -setin leimalla ja stanssilla tehty. Tekstileima on Clearly Besottedin Fresh Flowers -setistä. Lisänä hieman kultalankaa ja liquid pearls -tippoja. Kaikki musteet Hero Artsia, kartongit Papermanian tekstuuripintaista kartonkia.

The Finnish challenge blog P*skarteluhaaste is hosting a colour challenge this week, and you should use pink-orange-yellow colour combo in your card. I used Clearly Besotted and Papertrey Ink stamps on my card: the background is stamped with a stamp from CB 'Building Blocks' set and the sentiment is from CB 'Fresh Flowers' set. The butterfly is stamped and die cut with PTI 'Beautiful Butterflies' set. I added some gold string and a few drops of Liquid Pearls to complete the card. The cardstock is Papermania's textured cardstock and all the inks are by Hero Arts.
