Kukka ruudussa - Boxed bloom

Jatketaas kukkalinjalla. Tämä ihana kukkanen on STAMPlorationsin Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments -setistä, väritin sen Polychromoksilla ja kerrostin pariin kertaan kartongille. Sitten kiinnitys korttipohjaan, tekstin leimaus (niinikään STAMPlorationsia) ja muutama timantti päälle. Kulmien pyöristyksen jälkeen kortti oli valmis.

I've another flower card for you today. This gorgeous flower stamp is from 'Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments' set by STAMPlorations, I stamped it on some watercolour paper and coloured with Polychromos pencils. I then matted it onto some cardstock a couple of times and adhered to card base. The sentiment is also by STAMPlorations and comes from 'Bloom Sketches' set. I only added some rhinestones as embellies, rounded the corners and called it a card! :)

Blingiä! - Bling!

Maanantain piristeeksi vähän simppeliä blingiä! :) Embossasin kullalla Heron Leafy Vines -leiman ja Papertrey Inkin tekstileiman kartongille, kerrostin kultakimallekartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Ja siinäpä se, simppeliä blingiä :)

I have a very clean and very simple card with lots of bling to show you today :) I used Hero Arts 'Leafy Vines' stamp for this one, I heat embossed it in gold as I did the sentiment (it's from a Papertrey Ink set). Then I cut the panel to size, layered it to the gold cardstock and then to the cardbase. And there you have it, a very clean, very simple and very bling card! :)

Höyheniä - Feathers

Hero Artsilla on meneillään luontoaiheinen haaste, johon ajattelin osallistua tällä kortilla. Käytin tähän Heron sulkaleimoja, joista isomman embossasin kullalla vellumille ja pienemmän valkoiselle kartongille. Kortin kanteen stanssasin Elegant Feathers -stanssilla sulanmuotoisen aukon ja kiinnitin ison sulan kortin sisäosaan. Pienemmän sulan kiinnitin osittain stanssatun aukon päälle. Tekstileima on Clearly Besottedia ja lisänä hieman nyöriä ja muutama pieni paljetti.

Hero Arts is hosting a Nature Challenge for which I made this card. I used the 'Feathers' stamps by Hero Arts and heat embossed the biggest one onto vellum with gold embossing powder and one of the smaller ones onto white cardstock. I used one of the 'Elegant Feathers' dies to die cut the opening onto the card front and adhered the big feather onto the inside of the card so that it peeks through the opening. The smaller feather is adhered slightly over the die cut opening. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted, heat embossed in gold. As embellies, there are some small sequins and a piece of twine.

Leija - Kite

Lawnscaping-haasteella on menossa synttärihaaste sadannen haasteen kunniaksi ja tehtävänä on siis tehdä juhlan kunniaksi synttärikortti. Minä juhlin tällaisella kortilla :) Leimasin siihen tuon ihanan leijan Lawn Fawnin Sunny Skies -setistä ja väritin sen Distress Markereilla. Tekstileima on Tiddly Inksiä. Stanssasin leimakuvan Simon Says Stampin Stitched Rectangles -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Kovasti yritin lisäillä siihen jos jonkilaista koristetta, mutta en vain saanut sopimaan. Alkaa jo hieman hirvittää, tuleeko korteistani jo liiankin karuja ja yksinkertaisia... No, eipä auta, tällä juhlitaan! :)

There's birthday celebration going on at the Lawnscaping Challenge - congrats on 100th challenge! :) I'm celebrating with this card :) I used the lovely kite from the Sunny Skies set by Lawn Fawn, stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured with Distress Markers. The sentiment is a Tiddly Inks stamp (I didn't have any suitable from Lawn Fawn). I used a Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp to die cut the panel, and then just adhered it to the card base. I tried and tried adding all kinds of embellishments to this card but nothing seemed to suit it - I'm kind of worried this is just a little bit too clean and simple (boring?) for a celebratory card but I'll go with it anyway. Hope you like it! :)

Sinä olet aurinko - You are my sun*

Tein eilisen ystävänpäivän kunniaksi kortit elämäni miehille. Tämä ensimmäinen oli miehelleni, embossasin siihen mustalla Lawn Fawnin auringon ja väritin sen ProMarkereilla (erittäin taidokas ja aikaavievä väritys, kuten näkyy... ;D ). Tekstileima on myös Lawn Fawnia, jätin siitä vain sunshine-sanan pois. Stanssaus on Simon Says Stampin ommelstanssilla ja sitten vain kiinnitys korttipohjaan.

It was Valentine's Day yesterday so I gave cards to the most important men in my life. This first one was for my husband. I heat embossed the sun (from Lawn Fawn's 'Sunny Skies' set) in black and coloured it with ProMarkers. Then I stamped the sentiment, it's from the same Lawn Fawn set and it actually says 'You are my sunshine' but I left the last word out. I did the diecutting with Simon Says Stamp's stitch edged die and adhered the panel to my card base.

Tämä toinen kortti meni esikoiselle. Käytin siihen Tiddly Inksin sankaria, jonka väritin Polychromoksilla ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Taustan tein Tim Holtzin sabluunalla ja Distress Inkeillä. Tekstileimat ovat FinnStamperin ja lisänä vain sydännapit.

This next card was for our eldest son. I used the superhero from a Tiddly Inks stamp set, coloured him with Polychromos pencils and adhered with foam adhesives. I made the background with a Tim Holtz stencil and some Distress Inks. I used two different sentiments in this card, and together, translated loosely, they say 'Have a lovely day friend'. As embellies, I used some heart shaped buttons.

Tämä viimeinen kortti meni kuopukselle. Käytin siihen DoodleFactoryn ampparia, jonka väritin ProMarkereilla ja siipiin lisäsin vähän Wink of Stellaa. Taustalle stanssasin huovasta sydämen Sizzixin stanssilla. Taustapaperi taitaa olla Echo Parkia, lisänä FinnStamperin tekstileima, sydännappi ja muutama Liquid Pearls -tippa.

This last card was for our youngest son. I used the sweet bee from DoodleFactory for this card, I coloured him with ProMarkers and added some clear Wink of Stella for his wings. I die cut the blue heart out of felt with a Sizzix die, added the sentiment (it says 'Hugs' in Finnish), a heart shaped button and some Liquid Pearls dots. The patterned paper is by Echo Park.

Tulppaaneja - Tulips

Kun näin tämänkertaisen CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteen luonnoksen, ajattelin tämän STAMPlorationsin tulppaanileiman olevan täydellinen siihen. Leimasin siis tulppaanit tuohon kulmaan, maskasin osittain ja leimasin muutaman tulppaanin lisää tuohon reunaan, että sain tulppaanirivin loppumaan nätisti. Väritin kukat Polychromoksilla, leimasin tekstileiman (sekin STAMPlorationsia) ja kiinnitin paneelin valkoiselle korttipohjalle tarrapaloilla. Jälkiajatuksena lisäsin vielä nuo puolihelmet, mutta en tiedä, oliko se yhtään hyvä idea...

When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!, I thought this gorgeous tulip stamp by STAMPlorations would be perfect for it. So I stamped it once, masked it and then stamped a few more tulips so that the row of tulips would end nicely. I coloured the flowers with Polychromos pencils, and stamped the sentiment (it's a STAMPlorations stamp as well). Then I adhered the panel onto white card blank with foam adhesives, and as an afterthought I added the sticky back pearls. Not sure it was a good idea though...

Saniainen - Fern

Olen jotenkin äärimmäisen ihastunut tähän die cut inlay -tekniikkaan, niitä on kiva näpertää ja lopputulos on yleensä näyttävä. Tällä kertaa näpersin Penny Blackin Fresh Breeze -stanssilla stanssatun saniaisen tuohon korttiin, lisäilin muutaman timantin ja Papertrey Inkin tekstin vellumille ja kortti oli sillä selvä. Kuvasta ei ehkä ihan täysin näy, mutta tuossa on kolmea eri vihreää kartonkia: saniainen on vaalein, korttipohja sitä asteen tummempi ja tummin on tuo pieni reunus valkoisen reunoilla. Kaikki kartongit ovat Papermanian kartonkia, jonka tekstuuripinta tuo mielestäni kivan pienen lisän kortin ulkonäköön.

I really like the die cut inlay technique, it usually gives lovely results and it's fun to make them. I used that technique here with the gorgeous 'Fresh Breeze' die by Penny Black. I only added a few rhinestones to the ferns and the sentiment (by Papertrey Ink) stamped on a strip of vellum, and called it a card :) You can't really tell from the picture, but there are three different greens on the card: the fern is the lightest green, the cardbase is slightly darker, and those thin strips of cardstock on the edges of the white panel are the darkest green. All cardstock is by Papermania, I love their textured cardstocks as I think they add a little interest to cards.
