Aurinkoisia kukkia - Sunny flowers

Kukilla jatketaan. Tämä oli tilauskortti, joka tilattiin tsemppikortiksi kovia uutisia saaneelle. En tiedä, onko positiivisempia kukkia kuin auringonkukat, joten leimaksi valitsin tämän Stampendousin kukkaleiman (vaikka tarkemmin katsottuna en ole varma, ovatko nämä auringonkukkia vai punahattuja... no, kauniita ja iloisia ovat kuitenkin ja se kai on tässä pääasia). Kukat väritin Copiceilla ja stanssasin osittain Simon Says Stampin ommelreunastanssilla. Tekstileima on myös Simonia. Taustapaperi on Lili of the Valley'ä ja koristeina hieman leipurinnyöriä ja muutama timantti.

I've another flower card to show you today. This one was a commission card and it is for someone who has had some tough news lately. I wanted to go happy yet elegant with my card so I chose this flower stamp by Stampendous (I've always thought these are sunflowers but looking at them now, they might just be Echinacea.. Well, whatever they are, they're pretty and happy and that's what matters here, right?). I coloured the stamped image with my Copics and partially die cut it out with a stitched edge die by Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp as well. The background paper is by Lili of the Valley (I just love this yellow-purple colour combination at the moment :) ) and as embellies there are some baker's twine and a few rhinestones.

Onnea mummolle! - Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Mummollani on tässä kuussa syntymäpäivät ja tänä vuonna hän täyttää huimat 95 vuotta. Mummoni pitää kukkakorteista, joten tein hänelle sellaisen uusimmalla kukkaleimallani. Tämä on Stampendousin Moray Dahlia, väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Halusin kukkien saavan päähuomion tässä kortissa, joten en lisännyt siihen kovin paljoa muuta. Kerrostin vain Lili of the Valley'n kuviopapereita kartongille ja lisäsin tekstin ääriviivatarrana. Siinäpä se, yksinkertainen mutta toivottavasti tyylikäs.

My Grandma celebrates her birthday in September and this year she turns 95! She likes cards with flowers so I made her one with my newest flower stamp. This stamp is 'Moray Dahlia' by Stampendous and I think it's just so pretty. I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I wanted the flowers to be the centre of attention in this card so I didn't add any embellishments to it, I just matted some lovely Lili of the Valley patterned papers onto some cardstock and added the peel-off sticker sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish). So there, clean and simple with gorgeous flowers :)

Onnittelukukka - Congrats with a flower

Ystävällä oli synttärit ja tein hänelle tällaisen kortin. Kukka on ihanasta Penny Blackin setistä Petal Party, väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Tekstileima on Vilda Stampsin ja embossattu valkoisella. Paperit ovat pääosin Lili of the Valley'ä ja koristeina hieman leipurinnyöriä ja timantteja.

A friend celebrated her birthday the other day and I sent her this card. The gorgeous flower is from the lovely Penny Black set called 'Petal Party', I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut out. The sentiment is heat embossed in seafoam white and it says something like 'Joy and happiness' in Finnish (very roughly translated ;) ). The patterned papers are mainly by Lili of the Valley, and as embellies there's some baker's twine and some rhinestones.

Heipat heiluttaen - Waving hello

Tein synttärikortin pojalle tämänviikkoisen Mojo Monday -haasteluonnoksen mukaan. Leimakuva on Tiddly Inksiä Copiceilla väritettynä ja Simonin ommelreunastanssilla stanssattuna. Taustapaperia stanssasin WPlus9:n stanssilla ja tähdet Lawn Fawnin tähtistansseilla. Paperit taitavat olla sekalaista seurakuntaa.

I made this birthday card for a boy following the sketch over at Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge. I used a Tiddly Inks stamp and coloured the image with my Copics (still practicing with them so don't look too closely... ;) ). The stitched edge dies I used to die cut the image and the green patterned paper are by Simon Says Stamp, and I used a die by WPlus9 to die cut the little gap in the background paper. The stars are die cut with Lawn Fawn dies, and the numbers with a Tim Holtz die (lots of die cutting going on in this card! :) ).

Unikot - Poppies

Vaihteeksi taas kukkakortti. Tämä ihana unikkoleima on C.C. Designsin Himalayan Poppy ja ilmeisesti tämän sortin unikot ovat oikeasti sinisiä mutta menin ja väritin ne nyt perinteisesti punaisiksi. Väritykset on tehty Distress Markereilla, teksti on ääriviivatarra ja koristeina muutama pieni paljetti. Taustapaperi on Lili of the Valley'ä. Tuo leimakuva on melko suuri, joten en viitsinyt lisätä siihen ylenmäärin mitään koristetta, vaan jätin kortin (taas vaihteeksi ;) ) melko yksinkertaiseksi.

I love poppies, and I really love this 'Himalayan Poppy' stamp by C.C. Designs, I think it's so pretty. Apparently, Himalayan poppies are blue in real life but I chose to colour them red this time. I did the colouring using Distress Markers. The sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) is a golden peel-off sticker, and I paired it with some tiny gold sequins. The background paper is by Lili of the Valley. I left the card pretty simple as the stamped image is rather large and I didn't want to cover it with anything. Hope you like it! :)

Ihanuuksia!

Ihana Pammu Pammun P*skarteluista heitti haasteen, Kolmen naisen ihana blogi, ja yllätti minut täysin kauniilla sanoillaan - kiitos, hassu! :) Minäpä nappaan haasteesta kiinni ja rummutan vuorollani kolmea taidokasta askartelijaa ja heidän blogejaan.

Noksu Elämän makuista arkea... -blogista on ehkä uusin blogituttavuuteni. Noksun blogista löytyy askarteluita, ihania kuvia, lifestyleä, mutta eniten ihailen Noksun itse piirtämiä kuvituksia (mm. täällä ja täällä). Itse en osaa piirtää mitään, joten ihailen heitä, jotka osaavat! :)

Nonni Korttikarkurista on paitsi äärimmäisen taitava kortteilija ja CAS-taituri, myös todella ihana ja tärkeä ystävä. Ystävyytemme alkoi blogista ja jatkuu ihan oikeassa elämässä, olen muutamaan otteeseen Nonnin tavannut ja hauskaa on aina ollut! :)

Marika Me and Minime Crafting -blogista on myös uudehko blogituttavuus, jonka olen myös ihan oikeassakin elämässä tavannut. Marika on todella taitava värittäjä ja kortteilija, jonka taidot vakuuttavat ihan maailmanlaajuisestikin.

Nyt ei muuta kuin kahvikupposet käteen ja näiden kolmen ihanan naisen ihaniin blogeihin tutustumaan!

Leluvene - Sailing Boat

Poikamainen synttärikortti olisi tarjolla näytille tällä kertaa. Leimakuva on LOTV:n, väritin sen Distress Markereilla ja stanssasin Simonin ommelreunaisella stanssilla. Taustalle leimasin Heron Canvas Stripe -taustaleiman, tekstin leimasin vellumvyötteeseen ja koristeeksi laitoin stanssatun tähden, napin ja vähän nyöriä.

I have a birthday card for a boy to show you today. I made this using Lili of the Valley's lovely 'Sailing Boat' stamp, and I coloured the image with Distress Markers. I used Simon Says Stamp's stitched edge die to die cut the image out, stamped the sentiment (it says 'Congrats' in Finnish) onto a vellum banner and attached the whole thing onto the background onto which I had stamped the stripes with a Hero Arts stamp. I kept the embellishments to a minimum and only used a die cut star with a button and some twine.
