Puita, puita - Trees, more trees

Taas puita joulukortissa, tällä kertaa ovat Purple Onion Designsin ihania lumisia puita. Väritys Distress Markereilla ja leimakuvan reunoja mustetin Distress Inkillä. Stanssaus on Paper Smoochesin Notebook Basic -stanssilla, sekä leimakuva että sen takana oleva vihreä kartonki. Lisäksi hieman kuviopaperia, paljetteja ja nyöriä, ja tekstileima Dekoretten setistä.

Yet another of my Christmas cards features trees, this time they are the snowy cuties by Purple Onion Designs. I coloured them with Distress Markers and sponged some Distress Ink to the sky. I die cut the image and the green cardstock behind it with a Paper Smooches die ('Notebook Basic') and added some twine and sequins to it. The sentiment says something like '(Wishing You) Happy Christmas Spirit' in Finnish.

Amaryllis - Amaryllis

Joulukukkaa näytille :) Leimana on amaryllis Penny Blackin Winter's Blossoms -setistä, väritin sen Copiceilla, stanssasin osittain My Favorite Thingsin suorakulmiolla ja mustetin reunat Distress Inkillä. Lisäksi tekstileima vellumille ja vähän kartonkia ja taustapaperia. Siinäpä se :)

This time it's flowers for Christmas from me :) This amaryllis is from the 'Winter's Blossoms' set by Penny Black. I coloured it with my Copics, partially die cut it out with My Favorite Things' die and sponged some Distress Ink to it. Then I stamped my sentiment ('Christmas Greetings' in Finnish) on a vellum banner and matted the whole thing on some cardstock and patterned paper.

Kuusi jouluna - Fir in snow for Christmas

Tämä Magnolian kuusileima on mielestäni jotenkin äärimmäisen suloinen :) Väritin sen Distress Markereilla ja mustetin taivasta Distresseillä, putoileviin hiutaleisiin laitoin vettä, johon olin sekoittanut hieman Perfect Pearlsia. Stanssaus My Favorite Thingsin wonky-stansseilla, lumihiutale taas Magnolian stanssilla. Lisäksi vähän kuviopaperia, Dekoretten tekstileima ja yksi paljetti.

I think this Magnolia stamp, 'Fir in Snow', is so darn cute :) This is the first Christmas card I've made with it. I coloured the image with my Distress Markers, sponged some Distress Inks to the sky and added some water mixed with Perfect Pearls to the falling snow. I die cut the panel with the image with My Favorite Things' stitched wonky rectangles die and the snowflake with a Magnolia die. The sentiment wishes 'White Christmas' in Finnish.

Enkelisiskokset - Angel Sisters

Tämä Stampendousin Angel Sisters -enkelileimasin on yksi lemppareistani. Idea näihin kortteihin lähti noista ihanista stanssatuista tähtirinkuloista, jotka sain lahjana blogiystävältäni Patricialta ja joiden halusin olla näkyvä osa kortteja. Ylemmässä kortissa stanssasin rinkulan taakse kuviopaperia ja alemmassa leimasin sinne tekstin. Alempaan korttiin lisäsin muutaman paljetin koristeeksi, mutta ylempään en laittanut mitään, koska halusin korttien olevan yksinkertaisia. Leimakuvat väritin Copiceilla, leikkasin irti ja kohotin pohjasta tarrapaloilla.

This 'Angel Sisters' stamp by Stampendous is one of my favourite stamps for Christmas cards, I think it's both cute and stylish at the same time. The idea for these cards started with those gorgeous die cuts with the little stars that I received from my bloggy friend Patricia, I wanted them to be quite visible so I left the cards otherwise 'uncluttered'. In the first card I just die cut a circle from patterned paper and placed it behind the starry circles and in the second card I stamped my sentiment inside it. I coloured my angels with my Copics, fussy cut them out and attached to the cardbase with some foam adhesives.

Pupu - Bunny

Taas on kuukausi kulunut ilman pihahdustakaan blogissa, apua mihin tämä aika menee! Kortteja on kuitenkin syntynyt ja yritän niitä nyt parhaani mukaan tännekin saada näytille, bloggaamatta on sekä joulu- että tavallisia kortteja (niitä tavallisia on kesältä saakka...!). Mutta tässä nyt joulukorttia Purple Onion Designsin ihanalla Birch-pupulla. Väritin Birchin Distress Markereilla ja lisäsin kirkasta Wink of Stellaa sen pipaan. Lumihangen leimasin Papertrey Inkin leimalla ja tekstileima on Dekoretten. Taustaa mustetin Distress Inkeillä ja lumisateen lisäsin My Favorite Thingsin sapluunalla ja struktuuripastalla. Sitten vain kerrostus ja korttipohjaan.

Another month has gone by without any blog posts from me, I swear the time flies quicker than normal these days... I have made quite a few cards but haven't had the chance to blog them yet, so I have quite a lot to post, both Christmas and other cards. But let's start off with this Christmas card I made with the lovely bunny Birch by Purple Onion Designs. I coloured Birch with Distress Markers and added some clear Wink of Stella to her hat (I'd quite like one of those hats for myself, too... ;) ). The snow drift is stamped with a Papertrey Ink stamp. I inked the background with Distress Inks (I tried to make it look like a wintry sunset or sunrise) and added the falling snow with a My Favorite Things stencil and some modelling paste. The sentiment says something like '(wishing you) a peaceful Christmas' in Finnish. I matted the stamped panel onto some pink cardstock and attached it to my card blank.

Tässä lähikuva Birchistä. Vannon, että sen pipassa on Wink of Stellaa, joka kyllä luonnossa näkyy, mutta ei tietenkään kuvassa....

Here's a close-up on Birch. I swear I added some clear Wink of Stella to her hat and you can see it in real life but not on the photo, surprise surprise... But please believe me, it is there!

Notta tuata - Well

Jokunen vanhempi kortti on bloggaamatta, joten laitetaan väliin niitä :) Tämä kortti on tilauskortti kesältä, minua pyydettiin tekemään 40-vuotiskortti miehelle ja kortista toivottiin jotenkin löytyvän kutsussa näkynyt jussipaita. Hetken jouduin raapimaan päätäni, mutta toteutin kortin lopulta näin. Jussipaitaan viittaa kortissa sekä värit (viininpunainen ja harmaa) että tuo salmiakkikuvio (jonka tein mustettamalla Distress Inkiä sapluunan läpi). Leimakuvan Oscar on väritetty Distress Markereilla (paidan väri on sama kynässä ja musteessa, jolla tein taustan salmiakkikuvion, vaikka lopputulos onkin noin eri värinen) ja leikattu irti. Taustan harmaaseen paperiin leimasin Heron taustaleimalla. Tekstit tein Artemion aakkosleimoilla ja numerot stanssasin Memory Boxin stansseilla.

This is a card I made during the summer, I've not blogged it yet so I'll do it now :) I was asked to make a birthday card for a man turning 40 and to somehow include a pullover that is traditional to our area in the card (you can see examples of the pullover by clicking here ). In the end, I decided to take the diamond pattern and the colours from the pullover. I made the diamond patter by inking Distress Ink through a stencil. Then I coloured with my Distress Markers and fussy cut out 'Oscar' by Penny Black (the colour in the diamond pattern from the ink pad is the same as the colour from the marker I used to colour his shirt even though they look so different). I used a background stamp by Hero Arts to stamp the gray paper in the background. I stamped the sentiment with alphabet stamps by Artemio (it says, roughly translated, "Well..." on the front of the card and "Congrats Jussi" in the inside of the card) and die cut the numbers with Memory Box dies.

Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Ystävälle lähti tämä onnittelukortti. Käytin siihen kukkaleimaa Paper Smoochesin Best Buds -setistä ja väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla. Taustan "lehtiönsivu" on stanssattu Paper Smoochesin stanssilla, tekstileima on Papertrey Inkiä. Paperit KaiserCraftia, lisänä muutama glitteri enamel dotsi ja hopeasuihkeen roiske taustalla.

I made this card for a friend to congratulate her on achieving something amazing :) I used these happy flowers from the 'Best Buds' set by Paper Smooches and coloured them with my Copics. I used the Note Book Basics die by Paper Smooches to die cut the note book pages in the background. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink and the patterned papers by KaiserCraft. I also added some glittery enamel dots and some splashes from silver spray mist to finish the card.
