Heippa - Hello

Tein kortin Create a Smilen tämänhetkiseen haasteeseen uusilla Create a Smile -herkuillani :) Kukat ovat Magic Flowers -setistä, väritin ne taas Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia, kehykset, jotka stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja Create a Smilen stanssilla stanssatun tekstin. Koristeeksi vain muutama paljetti.

I made this card for the current Create a Smile challenge 'For Someone Special'. You don't need a special day or occasion to send a card to someone special, sometimes a simple 'hello' card is more than enough so that's what I made :) So, I got my new Create a Smile goodies last week (after super fast shipping: ordered them late Sunday evening, got notification of shipping early Monday morning and received my package on Wednesday! Only three days from Germany to Finland! That is quick!!) and had to make a card with them. The flowers come from the 'Magic Flowers' set, I coloured them with my Zig Markers and fussy cut them out. For the background I used some patterned paper, a frame that I die cut with a My Favorite Things die and a sentiment die cut with a Create a Smile die. As embellishments, I only added some sequins.

Supersankari - Super hero

Tässä vielä toinen perheen nuorimmalle tehty kortti, jonka hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa. Leimakuva on Tiddly Inksin My Super Boys -setistä, väritin sen Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustapaneeliin tein taas tähtiä Create a Smilen sapluunalla, leimasin tekstin ja leikkasin numeron stanssilla irti. Sitten vain kiinnitys taustapaperiin niin, että taustapaperi näkyy tuosta numeron aukosta.

This is another card I made for our son, this was given to him by his grandparents. The stamped image comes from the set 'My Super Boys' by Tiddly Inks, I coloured it with my Zig Markers and fussy cut it out. I stenciled the stars to the background with a Create a Smile stencil and some Distress Ink. I then stamped my sentiment and die cut the number out of the panel before attaching it to the background paper.

Viisi - Five

Perheen nuorimmainen täytti viime kuussa kokonaiset viisi vuotta ja tein hänelle tällaisen kortin. Nuo söpöt musikantit ovat My Favorite Thingsin setistä Strike up the Band ja väritin ne Zigeillä. Taustapaperin stanssasin MFT:n ommenreunastanssilla ja samoilla stanssasin nuo aukot paperiin. Aukoista näkyvään korttipohjaan tein tähtiä Create a Smilen sapluunalla ja Distress Inkillä ja koristetähdet väritin väreihin sopiviksi Copiceilla. Loppusilauksena vielä stanssattu numero.

Our youngest son turned five last month and this is the birthday card I made him. The cute little bunnies are from 'Strike up the Band' set by My Favorite Things and I coloured them with my Zig Markers. I die cut the background paper with a stitched edge die by My Favorite Things, and I also die cut the rectangle windows with them. In the windows I stenciled some stars with a Create a Smile stencil and some Distress Ink. As finishing touches I added a die cut number and some little star that I coloured with my Copics so that they fit the colours.

Pionit - Peonies

Näytille tilaustyönä tehty syntymäpäiväkortti. Lähtökohtana kortille käytin luonnosta CAS(E) this Sketch! -haasteesta ja värejä Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge -haasteesta. Kukat ovat Altenew'n Peony Bouquet -setistä, väritin ne zigeillä ja asettelin luonnoshaasteen mukaisesti korttipohjaan. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja koristeina muutama ihana paljetti.

Today I have a made to order birthday card to show you. I had a few of challenges in mind when making it, I followed the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! and used the colours from Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge. The flowers are from the 'Peony Bouquet' set by Altenew, I coloured them with my Zigs and attached to the card base. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday' in Finnish) and added a few sequins to finish the card.

Guest Designer at AAA Cards - Vieraana AAA Cardsissa

I have some great news! I was asked to be a Guest Designer at AAA Cards for the current challenge and I am so thrilled! The theme for the CAS Game #107 is 'Chilled' (you can see the challenge graphic below) and this is my interpretation of it. After a little pondering, I decided to use this oldie but goldie stamp by Magnolia called 'Fir in Snow'. I stamped the image on the card base and masked the sides, the fir, the ground and even the snowflakes (cutting those snowflakes out of masking paper was an exercise in patience, let me tell you...). I then sponged some Distress Inks to make the sky, removed all the masking paper and coloured the fir and the ground with my Zigs. The sentiment is by Penny Black, I heat embossed it on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die. I attached the banner with foam adhesives so it's a bit raised from the card base. 

Huippu-uutisia! Minua pyydettiin Guest Designeriksi AAA Cardsin tämänhetkiseen haasteeseen, jossa aiheena on 'Chilled' (inspiraatiokuva alempana), ja innolla olen mukana! Päätin tehdän korttini tällä Magnolian vanhalla mutta ihanalla leimalla 'Fir in Snow', jota en ole hetkeen käyttänyt. Leimasin sen korttipohjaan, maskasin reunat, puun, maan ja jopa nuo lumihiutaleet (joissa oli vähän tekemistä...) ja mustetin taivaan Distress Inkeillä. Sitten poistin maskaukset ja väritin puun ja maan Zigeillä. Tekstileima on Penny Blackin, embossasin sen My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssatulle bannerille, jonka kiinnitin kohotarroilla.

Viisikymmentä - Fifty

Tilaustyönä kortti 50 vuotta täyttävälle miehelle. Päätin käyttää korttiin tätä Penny Blackin Oscaria (synttärisankarin huumorintaju kuulemma kestää sen ;D ), jonka väritin Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle stanssasin numerot Timpan stanssilla ja paperin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Kiinnitys tummanruskeaan korttipohjaan ja koristeeksi tähtiä, jotka väritin väreihin sopiviksi Copiceilla.

This is a made to order birthday card for a man turning 50. I decided to use the lovely 'Oscar' by Penny Black (I was told the recipient of the card has his sense of humor intact so figured he would see the funniness of Oscar.. ;) ). I coloured him with my Zigs and fussy cut him out. For the background I die cut the numbers with a Tim Holtz die and the patterned paper with a My Favorite Things die. I attached everything in place and added some stars that I coloured with my Copics.

Anemonet - Anemones

Vuoden ensimmäinen kortti olisi tässä, tehty kukkasilla, jotka väritin reilusti viime vuoden puolella... ;) En silloin oikein tiennyt, mitä niillä tekisin, joten jätin ne pyörimään pöydälle ja nyt tein niillä tämän. En ole ihan varma, olenko tyytyväinen tähän, mutta tällä mennään.. Kukkaset ovat siis WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setistä, väritetty Copiceilla. Dekoretten tekstileima on leimattu My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja tausta ja korttipohja itsessään on stanssattu Spellbindersin stanssilla. Sitten vain jokunen enamel dotsi ja kortti oli valmis.

Here comes my first card for 2018 - made with flowers I coloured last year! ;) I wasn't sure what to do with them then so I left them on my table and now used them for this. Not sure I'm totally happy with this card but it's done now, so I might as well be happy with it.. The flowers are from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 and coloured with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment ('For a friend' in Finnish) on a banner die cut with a My Favorite Things die. I die cut the blue cardstock and the whole card base with Spellbinders dies. As embellishments, I added some enamel dots.
