Leijaa lennättämässä - Kite flying

Unohdin postata tämän toisen synttärikortin, jonka veljenpojalleni tein (ensimmäinen oli siis tämä). Tämän hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa, joten ajattelin tehdä siitä hieman perinteisemmän. Leimakuva on Docraftsin Kite Flying, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Lisäksi korttiin laitoin vain nuo Memory Boxin stansseilla stanssatut numerot.

I made another birthday card for my nephew but forgot to post it, so here it is (this is the first one). This was given to him by his grandparents so I thought I'd make it a bit more traditional looking. The stamped image is 'Kite Flying' by Docrafts and I coloured it with my Zig Markers before die cutting the panel with a My Favorite Things die. I added the numbers die cut with Memory Box dies before attaching the panel to the card base.

Vaasillinen ruusuja - Rose Bowl

Tässä kortissa yhdistyy ehkä kaikki, mistä pidän: kukat, vesiväritys ja vaaleanpunainen :) Leimakuva tässä on Penny Blackin ihana Rose Bowl, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin Stitched Square & Circles -setin stanssilla niin, että tuo yksi lehti jäi stanssauksen ulkopuolelle. Kerrostin sen vielä vaaleanpunaiselle kartongille. Tekstileima on Friendship Flowers -setistä ja taustapaperi  Beau Jardin -paperikosta.

I think this card combines everything I love: flowers, watercolouring and the colour pink :) The stamped image is 'Rose Bowl' by Penny Black. I watercoloured it with my Zig Markers and die cut the panel with a die from the 'Stitched Square & Circles' set, but left one of the leaves hanging out of the panel. I then matted the panel onto regular pink cardstock. The sentiment comes from the 'Friendship Flowers' set and the background paper is from the 'Beau Jardin' paper pad.

Sain tilauksen 40-vuotiskortista naiselle ja päätin käyttää siihen Altenew'n ihanaa Leaf Canopy -settiä. Embossasin lehdet kullalla ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Korttipohjaan maskasin ja mustetin Distress Oxideilla tuon raidan, johon roiskin muutaman pisaran vettä, että sain sen vähän elävämmäksi. Kun roiskimisen makuun pääsin, roiskin vielä kultasuihkettakin korttipohjaan :D Lopuksi vielä FinnStamperin tekstileima ja Memory Boxin stansseilla numerot. Lehtioksat kiinnitin vain yläreunasta korttipohjaan niin, että alareuna jäi vähän koholle.

A friend of mine needed a birthday card for her female friend who's turning 40 and I made her this. I used the gorgeous 'Leaf Canopy' set by Altenew which I heat embossed in gold and watercoloured with Altenew watercolours. For the background, I masked the stripe and sponged it with Distress Oxide ink and added a few splatters of water to it to lift the ink. After that I added a few more splatters with gold spray to the background. I then stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) and added the numbers (die cut with Memory Box dies). I attached the branches with strong tape so that the lower parts are free so they are loose from the background.

The Flower Challenge: Muistutus - Reminder

The Flower Challengen haaste #24 on täydessä vauhdissa, mutta vielä on hyvin aikaa osallistua! Aiheena on Anything Goes, eli mitä tahansa voit tehdä, kunhan keskiössä on kukka. Tällä kertaa meillä on myös palkinto voittajalle - $25 lahjakortti CAS-ual Fridays Stampsiin!

Käytin korttiini Altenew'n Sweetest Peas -setin leimaa, jonka embossasin valkoisella ja väritin Zigeillä. Tekstileima on myös tuosta samaisesta setistä. Koko paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan.

The challenge #24 is in full swing over at The Flower Challenge but you still have plenty of time to join us! The theme is nice and easy, Anything Goes, which means you're free to create pretty much anything you like as long as it has florals as the main feature. Pupu - Bunny

My Favorite Thingsillä on meneillään 2018 Card Design Superstar -kilpailu, johon minäkin uskaltauduin tekemään kortin. Osallistun tällä Clean & Simple Genius -sarjaan. Käytin tähän Strike Up the Band -setistä tekstileimaa ja soittajapupua, jonka väritin vesiväreillä. Pupun leimasin kävelemään tekstileimaa pitkin ja pupun vanaveteen roiskin hieman kultasuihketta vesivärisiveltimellä. Paneelin stanssasin Stitched Rectangle Stax -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin tummanruskeaan korttipohjaan.

My Favorite Things is running the contest 2018 Card Design Superstar and I braved myself to enter the Clean & Simple Genius category with this card. I used the sentiment and the bunny from the 'Strike Up the Band' set, and stamped the bunny so that he is walking on the sentiment. I coloured the bunny with watercolours and added some splatters with gold spray using my watercolour brush. I die cut the panel with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Stax set and adhered it to dark brown card base.

Tuoksuherne - Sweet Pea

Minulla oli eilen treffi-ilta askartelupöytäni ja uusien tarvikkeiden kanssa ja tuloksena syntyi tämä kortti :) Nuo ihanat kukkaset ovat Altenew'n Sweetest Peas -setistä ja väritin ne Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Kovasti päätin, etten aio Altenew'n vesivärejä hankkia, koska vesivärejä minulla on mutta... Noissa vesiväreissä on vain niin loistavia kukkavärejä, että pyörsin päätökseni ja hankin ne :D Taustan paneelin tähän stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -stanssilla ja roiskin siihen vähän kultaspraytä. Dekoretten tekstileiman embossasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla stanssatulle kaitaleelle. Sitten vain kiinitys korttipohjaan ja se oli siinä.

I had a date night last night - with my craft table and some new supplies! :D When I first saw that Altenew had released watercolours I swore I would not buy them because I have watercolours already but... Those watercolours simply have some really good colours for flowers so I humbly ate my words and got them for myself :D So for this card, I used stamps from Altenew's 'Sweetest Peas' set and watercoloured them with the Altenew watercolours. I die cut the white panel with Penny Black's 'Stitched Stackers' die and splattered some gold spray on it. I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'For Friend' in Finnish) on a strip that I die cut with a My Favorite Things die.
