Mallin mukaan - CASEing a card

Inkspirational-haasteblogissa on menossa hauska haaste, jossa pyydetään CASEamaan jotain omaa aikaisempaa korttia tai jonkun muun tekemään korttia. Päätin CASEta Desert Diva Hannelie Besterin kaunista korttia, alla näet sekä Hannelien kortin että minun versioni siitä. Omaan korttiini käytin Ellen Hutsonin Mondo Sakura -leimaa, jonka väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Stanssaukset Hero Artsin suorakulmioilla. Dekoretten tekstileiman embossasin valkoisella.

There's a fun challenge going on at Inkspirational challenge blog, we're asked to CASE a card, either our own or someone else's. I thought it would be fun to CASE someone else so I chose this gorgeous card by Hannelie Bester from Desert Diva (you'll find both Hannelie's card and my version of it below). For my card, I used the 'Mondo Sakura' stamp by Ellen Hutson which I coloured with Altenew watercolours. I die cut the rectangles with Hero Arts dies and heat embossed the sentiment in white (it says 'On your special day' in Finnish).

Merkkipäivänä - On your special day

Tällainen kortti syntyi Altenew'n Perfectly Perfect -setin kukilla. Embossasin ne kultaisella jauheella ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Dekoretten tekstileimankin embossasin. Taustalle roiskin vesiväriä ja laitoin muutaman tipan mustaa enamel accentsia.

I used my new Altenew stamps for the first time for this card. They're from the set 'Perfectly Perfect'. I heat embossed them in gold and coloured with Altenew watercolours. I also heat embossed the sentiment in gold (it says, loosely translated, 'On your special day' in Finnish). For the background, I splattered some watercolours and added a few drops of black enamel accents.

Kukat - Flowers

Käytin uusia Altenew'n leimojani ensimmäistä kertaa, nämä ihanat kukat ovat Cherished Memories -setistä. Väritin ne Copiceilla. Lisäksi vain tekstileima ja jokunen musta paljetti.

I made a CAS card using my new Altenew stamps, these are from the set 'Cherished Memories'. I coloured them with my Copics, stamped the sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish) and added some black sequins to embellish.

Penny Black: Jouluntoivotukset - Christmas wishes

Vuoden viimeinen joulukortti on tässä! Käytin tähän leimaa Penny Blackin setistä Berries Delight ja väritin sen Zigeillä. Vaaleanpunaisiin kukkiin lisäsin kirkasta Wink of Stellaa, jota roiskin vesiväripensselillä myös leimakuvan ympärille. Stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Antique Frame -stanssilla niin, että pisimmät marjaoksat jäivät reunan yli, jätin stanssin paikoilleen ja mustetin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Bundled Sage. Tekstileima on Penny Blackin setistä Joyful Wishes. Lopuksi kiinnitin paneelin harmaalle korttipohjalle.

This is my last Christmas card for this year! To stamp my image I used this gorgeous stamp from the set 'Berries Delight' by Penny Black. I coloured the image with my Zig Markers and added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the pink flowers. I also added of few splatters of Wink of Stella to the panel using my watercolour brush. I then partially die cut the panel using 'Antique Frame' die by Penny Black so that the tallest branch sticks out of the top and left the die in place. Then I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage to the edges of the panel. The sentiment I used is from 'Joyful Wishes' set, I stamped it in black ink. Lastly, I adhered the panel to light grey card base.

Here's a close up of the card, I hope you can see at least a bit of the gorgeous shimmer on the pink flowers (click the pic to enlarge it).

Pingviinejä - Penguins

Tein kaikki nämä kolme korttia samalla kaavalla, mutta sentään eri pingviineillä. Pingviinit ovat siis My Favorite Thingsin Sweet Holiday Penguins -setistä ja Altenew'n vesiväreillä väritetyt. Taustan kehyksen ja bannerin stanssasin niin ikään MFT:n stansseilla. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja muutama enamel dotsi koristeeksi.

Made these three Christmas cards with the cutest penguins around, I just love these penguins! They're from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things, I coloured them with my Altenew watercolours. I used MFT dies to cut the frames and the banners, and used some patterned papers for the backgrounds and some enamel dots as embellishments.

The Flower Challenge #27: Muistutus - Reminder

Muistuttelen The Flower Challengen haasteesta, jonka aiheena on hieman vanhemman leimasimen tai stanssin käyttö (kukka-aiheella!). Haaste on käynnissä 25.12. asti, joten vielä on aikaa osallistua! Käytin korttiini kukkaleimaa Clearly Besottedin  Fresh Flowers -setistä, tämä ei ole ihan vanhimmista vanhin leima mutta jokusen vuoden vanha kuitenkin. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin sen irti. Tekstileiman leimasin kartonkisuikaleelle ja taustalle laitoin sinisävyisiä kuviopapereita.

I'm here to remind you of the current challenge over at The Flower Challenge. The theme is 'Use an Older Stamp or Die' (with floral motif, I might add ;) ) and you'll have until Dec 25th to participate. The stamp that I used for my card is not the oldest of the old but a good few years old still, it's from the 'Fresh Flowers' set by Clearly Besotted. I coloured it with my Copic Markers and die cut the flower. I stamped my sentiment ('You're in my thoughts' in Finnish) on a strip of cardstock and adhered as shown. For the background, I simply used some patterned papers.

Joulutähti - Poinsettia

Simppeli joulukortti Penny Blackin kauniilla Sparkler-leimalla. Tämäkin on niin kaunis leima, ettei paljoa seurakseen kaipaa. Väritin kukan Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä ja stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Antique Frame -setin stanssilla ja mustetin reunat Distress Oxide -musteella. Tekstileima on Stampendousin. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja paneeliin vielä roiskeita kultasuihkeella ja siinäpä se.

I made this simple Christmas card with the gorgeous Penny Black stamp called 'Sparkler'. It's such a beautiful stamp that I decided the image can stand pretty much alone on a card and still look lovely. I coloured the flower with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and die cut the panel with 'Antique Frame' die by Penny Black. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink on the edges and stamped my sentiment in black (the sentiment says 'Christmas Peace' in Finnish). I added some splatters of gold spray to the panel using my watercolour brush and used a piece of patterned paper for the background.
