Roses on your special day - Ruusuja merkkipäivänäsi

I decided to play along with a few challenges today and create this floral card. The stamps I've used are by Winnie & Walter, except the sentiment (it says 'On your special day' in Finnish). I did a bit of masking to create the bouquet and then coloured the image with my Copic Markers. I die cut the panel with a Penny Black die from the set Stitched Stackers, and heat embossed my sentiment in white embossing powder. After adhering the panel to red cardbase, I added some clear sequins to embellish it.

Tämä kortti syntyi muutaman haasteen innoittamana. Ruusu-leimat ja lehdet ovat Winnie & Walterin leimoja, maskasin kahta eri kokoa ruusuja kimpuksi ja väritin ne Copiceilla. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin stanssilla setistä Stitched Stackers and tekstin embossasin valkoisella. Kiinnitin paneelin tummanpunaiseen korttipohjaan ja lisäsin muutaman kirkkaan paljetin koristeeksi.

Plumeria - Temppelipuu

Sometimes I really love colouring stamped images with my Copic Markers (mostly when it's going well.. ;D ) and this was one of those times. I really like this stamp by Stamplorations, it's called Precious Plumerias, and it was a joy to colour with the Copics. I didn't want to overcrowd the image so I simply stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congratulating you'), matted the panel onto cardstock and card base, and added some sequins.

Vesivärit ovat minulle jotenkin helpommat, mutta joskus on kiva värittää Copiceillakin (yleensä silloin, kun se sujuu... ;D ) ja tällä kertaa se oli sekä kivaa että sujui. Tämä leimakuva on Stamplorationsin Precious Plumerias ja se on niin nätti, etten viitsinyt siihen paljoa muuta härpäkettä laittaa, vain tekstileiman ja jokusen paljetin.  
(En muuten tiedä, onko 'plumeria' suomeksi temppelipuu mutta näin google kertoi, joten sillä mennään :D )

It's March and that means a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge! And this time we have a nice and easy one for you - Anything Goes! So please get creating with your floral stamps and dies and join us :)

I created my card using a gorgeous floral stamp by Visible Image which I stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with my Altenew watercolours. I also used a die cut sentiment by Stamplorations, and then simply adhered the panel to dark grey card base. Clean and simple! :)

Omaan korttiini käytin Visible Imagen ihanaa kukkaa, jonka leimasin vesiväripaperille ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Tekstinä on Stamplorationsin stanssilla stanssattu teksti. Halusin pitää kortin yksinkertaisena, joten kiinnitin paneelin kukkineen tummanharmaalle korttipohjalle ilman sen kummempia härpäkkeitä.

Penny Black Timeless 2019 - Blog hop!

For my blog hop post, I decided to create two different cards with the same stamp, Flutterby (40-668). For my first card, I stamped the Flutterby (40-688) stamp onto a piece of Ranger watercolour paper with black Versafine ink and coloured it with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. I also added a bit of Distress Stain in Tumbled Glass around the image. Then I created the frame with a die from the set Swirly Stitches (51-502) and adhered it to my image. I stamped my sentiment from the Snippets (30-283) set in black Versafine ink and added some clear sequins as my embellishments. For the background, I used patterned paper from the paper pad Painted Blooms (80-009).

My second card is almost a one-layer card which I created by first folding the card base from Ranger watercolour paper. I then stamped Flutterby (40-688) once, masked it with masking paper, and stamped it a second time so that the images are slightly overlapping. I removed the masking paper and coloured the image with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. I also added some tiny details with my white Gellyroll gel pen. I then sponged the edges of my card slightly with Distress Oxide ink in Broken China. Lastly, I stamped the first part of my sentiment with Archival ink (Coffee) onto the card and the latter part with Versamark ink onto a strip of brown cardstock, heat embossed it in white and adhered the strip to the card. The sentiments are from the Grateful Sentiments (30-547) set.

Penny Black Timeless 2019 - From The Garden

The new release by Penny Black called Timeless is full of gorgeous floral stamps and the set I used today is one of my (many!) favourites. It's called From The Garden (30-560) and it comes with matching dies, From The Garden Cut Out (51-522). I stamped the vase with the flower onto X-Press It blending card, coloured it with my Copic markers and die cut it out. For the background I cut a piece of white card stock and then die cut the frame using a die from the set Square Frames (51-517) and attached it in place. I then adhered the vase in place and stamped the sentiment (it's from the same From The Garden set as the vase with the flower). Finally, before adhering the panel in its place, I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad Beau Jardins (80-011) onto my card base.

Penny Black Timeless 2019 - Daisies

I'm sharing a floral card I made with stamps and dies from the new release by Penny Black called Timeless. This is another stamp that is a joy to colour, it's called Daisies (40-665). I watercoloured it with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours and added blue shading with Ranger Distress Stain in Tumbled Glass. I die cut the frame out of white cardstock using a die from the new set called Square Frames (51-517) and making it smaller than the panel with the daisies. After attaching the frame, I stamped my sentiment, it's from the Grateful Sentiments (30-547) set. I added a tiny bow with twine as my embellishment. The patterned paper behind the panel is from the paper pad Holiday Trimmings (80-013).
