Penny Black: Special Friends

I simply love these bunnies from the Special Friends set by Penny Black! They're cute and whimsical at the same time which is just the perfect combination. For the first card, I stamped the bunny on Copic friendly cardstock, coloured it with my Copics and die cut it with the matching die. The banner (coloured with Copics as well), the sentiment, the leaves and the flowers are all from the same Special Friends set. The panel in the background is die cut with the Diamond Cut die out of white cardstock and I adhered a piece of vellum behind it. The patterned paper is from the paper pad Summertime.

For the second card, I stamped and die cut the bunny and then coloured it with my Copics. I did the same with the flower and I also added tiny accents with white gel pen to both the bunny and the flower. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick on the background and die cut the Burlap Edge die out of light brown cardstock and adhered it to my cardbase. The sentiment is from the Happy Snippets set. I also rounded the upper corners of the card with a Corner Chomper.

Nämä Penny Blackin puput Special Friends -setistä ovat mielestäni niin ihania, suloisia mutta ei liian sokerisia. Teinkin niillä kaksi korttia, molemmissa puput on väritetty Copiceilla ja stanssattu irti. Ensimmäisen kortin banneri, tekstileima, lehdet ja kukat ovat  samasta Special Friends -setistä ja taustan ristikko on stanssattu Diamond Cut -stanssilla. Sen taustalle laitoin hieman vellumia ja kuviopaperia Summertime -setistä. Toisen kortin "maa" on stanssattu Burlap Edge -stanssilla, taustalla on hieman Distress Oxide -mustetta ja tekstileima on Happy Snippets -setistä.

The Flower Challenge #31: Reminder - Muistutus

It's time for The Flower Challenge reminder. This month we have a sketch for you to follow, and I interpreted the sketch loosely but used all the elements. The flowers are die cut with a Penny Black die called 'Playful Posies', I modified the die cut image a bit by cutting out one flower as there were four but the sketch only has three. I die cut the notebook pages with a Paper Smooches die called 'Notebook Basic' and stamped the sentiment from the set 'Snippets' by Penny Black. On the cream coloured cardbase I adhered a piece of patterned paper from my stash. As my embellishments I used a few clear sequins.

Muistuttelen taas The Flower Challengen huhtikuun haasteesta, jossa meillä on haasteena luonnos. Itse seurasin luonnosta vähän kevyemmin, mutta käytin kaikkia elementtejä. Kukat stanssasin Penny Blackin Playful Posies -stanssilla, tosin muokkasin leikettä hieman leikkaamalla siitä pois yhden kukan. Taustan vihkon lehdet stanssasin Paper Smoochesin Notebook Basic -stanssilla ja leimasin niihin tekstin Penny Blackin leimalla setistä Snippets. Lisäksi hieman kuviopaperia ja muutama kirkas paljetti.

Less Is More #393: Guest Designer

I have the absolute honour of being a Guest Designer for the current Less Is More challenge - thank you so much, ladies, for having me! It's a colour challenge this time with the cue words being 'Subtle Colours'. I decided to make a spring time thank you card with subtle spring colours and this is what I created. I used the 'Beautiful Friend' stamp and die by Clearly Besotted Stamps and did my colouring with my Copic Markers. I also added a bit of white gel pen to the image and attached the image with foam adhesives. For the background I simply die cut a circle using circle dies. The sentiment says 'Thank You' in Finnish. I also rounded the upper corners of my card with a Corner Chomper.

Minulla on kunnia olla Guest Designerina Less Is More -haasteessa ja tällä kertaa kyseessä on värihaaste teemalla 'Subtle Colours'. Käytin korttiini Clearly Besottedin Beautiful Friend -leimaa ja -stanssia. Leimakuvan väritin Copiceilla, lisäilin hieman valkoista geelikynää ja kiinnitin sen tarrapaloilla. Taustalle stanssasin ympyrän. Kortin kulmia pyöristin Corner Chomperilla.

Flowers with lots of love - Kukkia rakkaudella

I love colouring this stamp ('Floral Medley' by Penny Black). I've made a similar card with it earlier but this time I wanted to use a different, stronger colour scheme. I used my Zig Markers for colouring and die cut the panel with 'Stitched Stackers' die by Penny Black. I then adhered the panel to hot pink cardbase and stamped the sentiment, it's from the set 'Happy Snippets' by Penny Black.

Väritin kuvan Zigeillä ja stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -stanssilla. Tekstileima on Happy Snippets -setistä (Penny Blackin sekin). Paneelin kiinnitin lopulta pinkkiin korttipohjaan.

The Flower Challenge #31

It's April (yay for spring!) and time for a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge and this time we have a fun sketch for you. Use the sketch above and please remember to use floral stamps/dies. For my card I used the Our Friendship Grows set by Lawn Fawn - and yes, I made the sunflowers pink! I did my colouring with Copic Markers and added the frames in the background, they're die cut with the Altenew die Fine Frames. The sentiment says 'Congrats'.

Create a Smile: Poppy - Unikko

Create a Smile has a Facebook group called Create a Smile Friends & Family and every month they host a new challenge over there. I was very lucky to win their February challenge with this card (please click the link to see the card) and to be invited to be their guest designer for the April challenge. Thank you so much, Create a Smile!

The challenge this month is One Layer. I created my card by folding a card base from X-Press It blending card and stamping the gorgeous poppy from the Pure Poppies set on it. I coloured the poppy with my Copic Markers. I then masked the edges of my card with masking tape and added a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Fossilized Amber with my brush to create the rectangle behind the poppy. Unfortunately, I don't have any Create a Smile sentiment stamps so I used one from the Uniko set called Pure Florals: Peony. Create a Smilella on Facebook-ryhmä nimeltään Create a Smile Friends & Family, jossa on mm. kuukausittain vaihtuva haaste. Olin onnekas ja voitin helmikuun haasteen tällä kortilla (klikkaa linkkiä, niin näet kortin) ja minua pyydettiin guest designeriksi huhtikuun haasteeseen. Haasteen aiheena on One Layer eli yksikerroksinen. Taittelin korttiini korttipohjan Copic-ystävällisestä kartongista ja leimasin sille tämän ihanan unikon Pure Poppies -setistä, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Maskasin sitten kortin reunat ja tein unikon taustalle suorakulmion Distress Oxide -musteella. Create a Smilen tekstileimoja minulla ei ole, joten käytin tähän Unikon tekstileimaa Pure Florals: Peony -setistä.
