Syntymäpäiväkortti - A birthday card

Äitini täytti viime kuussa vuosia ja mummoni (äitini äiti siis) pyysi minua tekemään äidilleni kortin, jonka hän voisi antaa. Mummoni halusi kortin olevan "oikeen erikoosen hieno" ja tällainen siitä tuli. En tiedä, olenko itse aivan täysin 100%:n tyytyväinen tähän mutta ainakin kortin tilaaja ja saaja siitä pitivät ja se on kuitenkin tärkeintä. Tuo leimakuva on Penny Blackin Casual, väritin sen suoraan leimasimeen Impress-tusseilla, suihkaisin vettä päälle ja leimasin akvarellikartongille - tykkään tuollaisesta "feikkivesiväri"-jäljestä. Stanssasin leimakuvan Timpan stanssilla (Styled Labels) ja kohotin tarrapaloilla. Taustan paperi on lahjaksi saatu (kiitos! :) ), lisänä vaaleanpunaista kartonkia, pitsiä, ääriviivatarroja (mummoni halusi, että teksti ja numerot ovat kultaisella, joten käytin niihin sitten ääriviivatarroja) ja korupiikki. Vaaleanpunaisen kartongin kulmaa pyöristin Corner Chomperilla.

My Mother had her birthday last month and my maternal Grandma asked me to make a card for my Mum that she could give her. She asked the card to be "extra special" and to have golden lettering and numbers on it. This is the card I came up with but I have to say I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with it, although my Grandma and my Mum both loved the card which, of course, is the most important thing. The rubber stamp I used is Casual by Penny Black, I coloured the stamp itself with Impress markers, misted it with some water and stamped it on aquarelle paper which I then die cut with a Tim Holtz die (Styled Labels). I have received the pretty paper I used on the background as a gift (thank you! ;) ). In addition to that, there are just some pink cardstock (I rounded its corner with a Corner Chomper), some pretty lace, a pin that I made and some stickers for sentiment ('Congrats') and numbers.

Ajattelin tähän loppuun vielä hieman mainostaa, sillä kaksi (blogi)ystävääni on avannut pienimuotoisen kaupan netissä (molemmat siis omansa). Kissinia Irlannista on avannut Etsy-kaupan, jossa kannattaa käydä pyörähtämässä, myynnissä tällä hetkellä on ihania pupusia. Skotlannissa taas Junie on avannut oman kynttilänettikaupan, jossa hän myy itse koristelemiaan kynttilöitä. Kannattaapi käydä sielläkin kurkkailemassa.
