Anemones

I love these beautifully swaying anemones with their big, heavy flower heads! I made these with a Spellbinder die set called Fresh Picked Anemones, it was so much fun putting them together. The panel in the background is die cut with a Lawn Fawn die Lacy Rectangle Stackables and the patterned paper is by Lawn Fawn as well. The die cut word (which has loads of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen on it but unfortunately it doesn't show on the photo) is Finnish for 'Hello'. As embellishments, there are some enamel dots.

Happy Hearts Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sharing a little tag I made for my boys for this year's Valentine's Day, they both received a tag like this with their sweet treats. I cut the tag shape out of patterned paper with a die from the set Tags a Lot by Mama Elephant. The rest of the products are by Penny Black. The cute kitty is from the stamp set Cuteness, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The speech bubble is die cut with Chat Bubbles die and the little hearts on them are the negatives from the die Line of Hearts. The bow is die cut with the Jumbo Bauble die and embellished with a little enamel dot heart.

Thanks for Being There

I have a floral friendship card to share. It's soon Valentine's Day which is celebrated in Finland as a day for friends and friendships and not for love and lovers, hence a friendship card.

I used one of my new Pinkfresh Studio stamps for this one, it's called Thanks for Being There. I coloured the image with my Copics and added some details with a white gel pen before die cutting it with the matching die. I also used a die by Penny Black called Dignified and cut the beautiful foliage out of vellum to place behind the floral cluster. The panel is die cut with Lacy Rectangle Stackables die by Lawn Fawn and I stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'For My Friend') before adhering the floral cluster on it. For the background, I used Letter Background stamp by Penny Black stamped tone on tone on a piece of purple cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Nasturtium

I have a floral birthday card to share today. I used Hero Arts' Nasturtium stamp which is one of my favourite Hero Arts' stamps. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting the bottom edge with a WPlus9 die from the set Landscape Borders Die. I added a piece of patterned paper on my card base and adhered the panel to the card base with foam adhesives. I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On Your Birthday') on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place before embellishing the card with some black gems.

Bouquet

Here's a very clean and simple card - so simple, in fact, that there's even no sentiment! Sometimes you just need a card without any sentiment, right? The stamp I used is a collaboration between Memory Box and Simon Says Stamp called Fresh Cut Bouquet, I coloured the image with my Copics. I then masked the edges of the panel and very lightly ink blended the background with Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gems.

Daisies

I made this birthday card using the ever so pretty Fresh Picked Daisies die by Spellbinders. I love those little happy looking daisies! Here I placed them in a watering can cut with Watering Can die by Penny Black. The background panels are die cut with My Favorite Things dies, I ink blended some Distress Oxide inks on the first panel. The die cut sentiment says 'Congratulations', I added many layers of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen on the die cut sentiment and it has such pretty shimmer in real life.

60

A colleague of mine turned 60 earlier in January and we gave him a little present with a card that I made. I actually made two cards so my colleagues were able to choose which one we should give. My colleague is into cars so I tried to feature that in my cards, both of which turned out pretty clean and simple.

The first card features a stamp by Lili of the Valley, this is called Toot Toot. I coloured the image with my Copics before masking the edges of the panel and ink blending some Distress Oxide inks onto it. I cut the numbers with Number It die by Mama Elephant and adhered them in place before matting the panel onto a piece of teal cardstock and adhering it to my cardbase.

The second card uses dies by Sizzix/Tim Holtz, namely Vault Christmas Magic dies (I love versatile crafty products!). I cut the elements with the dies, added some vellum behind the windows on the buildings and the cars and adhered the elements in their places (the buildings are adhered with foam adhesives). I added the die cut numbers on the pickup. For the background, I masked the edges of the panel again and ink blended some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Frayed Burlap onto the panel. I then stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congratulating you on your birthday'), adhered everything in place and embellished the card with some enamel dot stars.
