Penny Black Hello Winter: Delicate Pines

I made this clean and simple card with new stamps from the new Penny Black collection, Hello Winter. The tree branches are from the set Delicate Pines, I coloured on the stamps with my Zig markers and stamped on my card panel, repeating this several times. I then took a damp watercolour brush and went through the image very gently. This gave the image a sort of watercoloured look. I then die cut the panel using Zig-Zag Stackers and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Lucky Clover on the panel. I also splattered some white watercolour on it. The lovely sentiment is from the sentiment set When Snow Falls. After stamping the sentiment, I matted the panel onto green cardstock before adhering the panel onto my white cardbase.

Polar Bear and Penguin - Jääkarhu ja Pingviini

I think this is the cutest polar bear ever! And his little penguin friend is just as sweet! They are both from the Penny Black stamp set 'Festive Frolic', coloured with my Copics. I die cut the panel with Zig Zag Stackers die by Penny Black and once again sponged a little Distress Oxide inks to the panel while keeping the die still in place. I die cut some snowflakes with Penny Black's Dancing Snowflakes dies, stamped my sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year') and adhered the panel in place after placing some patterned paper behind it.

Christmas Peace - Joulurauhaa

Here's a Christmas card I made using Tiny Townie Annie the Angel by Stamping Bella. I coloured her with my Copics and die cut the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers by Penny Black. I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the panel.  I placed some patterned paper behind the panel and added the die cut sentiment (it says 'Christmas Peace').

Penny Black Hello Winter: Nature's Pennant

Here's a new stamp from the new Penny Black collection Hello Winter. This gorgeousness is called Nature's Pennant. 

I stamped the image on Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics before die cutting the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers die. Before removing the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy on the edges of the panel. I then heat embossed a sentiment from Here's to Xmas sentiment set onto a strip of dark brown cardstock and tied a little twine bow to it as an embellishment.

Penny Black Hello Winter: Hug a Snowman

Penny Black has just released a new collection of stamps and dies suitable for Christmas and winter-themed cards called Hello Winter. My card features a stamp from one of the sets called Hug a Snowman and I'm just in love with this fella! I think he's the cutest lil' snowman ever!

I stamped the image on Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics. I then took a piece of patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad and die cut the edge with a die from the new die set Border Collection. Before adhering it to my panel, I placed a piece of lilac cardstock behind it to create a border for the upper part of the card. I then adhered the panel onto my cardbase before stamping a sentiment from the new sentiment set When Snow Falls and embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Penny Black Home for Christmas: Masterpieces Made Simple

Earlier this autumn Penny Black released a collection called Home for Christmas and these Masterpieces Made Simple panels were a part of it. Masterpieces Made Simple is a new product line of Penny Black consisting of packs of pre-printed cardstock panels for cardmaking. They are gorgeous prints of gorgeous watercolour paintings and they make cardmaking so quick and easy. These panels are lifesavers if, like me, you're in a hurry to make Christmas cards...

The next two cards feature panels from Masterpieces Made Simple pack called Icy Winds (50-003). For the first card, I die cut the frame using Semi-Circle Stackers dies (51-706) and adhered it to the panel before adhering the panel to craft foam and then to a piece of kraft coloured cardstock that I adhered on my cardbase. I embellished the panel with branches die cut with Blustery die (51-711), I die cut one from dark brown cardstock and one from white and adhered them on top of each other so that the white is peeking from behind the brown, looking like snow on the branches. I also added a snowflake die cut with Dancing Snowflakes (51-708) and embellished with a sticky back pearl. I stamped a sentiment from Touched by Peace sentiment set (30-851) on a strip of cardstock and adhered it in place.

The next card was even simpler and quicker to make. The panel is from the same Icy Winds (50-003) set, I used a word die from Peaceful Pines die set (51-705) and die cut it straight onto the panel and then adhered a piece of cardstock behind the panel so that it shows through the die cut. I then die cut the frame using Semi-Circle Stackers dies (51-706) and adhered it to the panel. Lastly, I adhered some burlap onto my cardbase and adhered the panel in place. 

The next two cards feature panels from the Masterpieces Made Simple pack Pinecones & Peace (50-001). For the first card, I matted the panel onto dark brown cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the sentiment set Touched by Peace (30-851). I then tied a bit of twine into a bow around the panel and embellished it with snowflakes die cut with Dancing Snowflakes die (51-708) and embellished with some sticky back gems. I added a piece of patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad (80-012) onto by cardbase and adhered the panel in place.

For the next card, I die cut a frame using Zig Zag Stackers (51-714) and adhered it to the panel before stamping a sentiment from Touched by Peace sentiment set (30-851) onto the panel. I die cut pine branches using Peaceful Pines (51-705) die and adhered it in place before die cutting a snowflake with Dancing Snowflakes (51-708) and adhering it in place and embellishing it with a sticky back pearl. I used a bit of patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad (80-012) on my card as well.

The last card features a panel from Masterpieces Made Simple pack Home for Christmas (50-004). I decided to made a slimline card with it so I die cut the cardbase with Slimline Medley die (51-718). Before I die cut it, I adhered the pre-printed panel on the bottom of the cardstock so that it would be die cut in shape at the same time. For the top part of the card, I die cut a piece of green cardstock with Spirited die (51-721) and adhered it in place. I stamped a sentiment from Touched by Peace sentiment set (30-851), added a bit of twine around the card and embellished it with some snowflakes die cut with Dancing Snowflakes dies (51-708).

Christmas card - Joulukortti

I made this Christmas card with a stamp by Stamping Bella called Bundle Girl with Penguin. I stamped the image and coloured it with my Copics. I then used a die by Penny Black called Spirited to die cut the border which I then coloured with my Copics as well. I added a bit of patterned paper to the top of the card before stamping my sentiment ('Merry Christmas') on a die cut banner.

PBSC: December - Joulukuu

It's December and time for a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This month the optional theme is 'Christmas' along with the regular theme of 'Anything Goes'. As our Guest Designer, we have Bonnie.

For my Christmas card, I used Poinsettia Poem stamp by Penny Black. I stamped it onto a panel of Copic-friendly cardstock which I die cut with Semi-Circle Stackers die by Penny Black. I coloured the image with my Copics and then placed the die back in place before sponging some Distress Oxide inks (Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy) to the edges of the panel. When I then removed the die, it had left some beautiful white edges around the panel. I stamped my sentiment ('Merry Christmas' in Finnish) on a strip of vellum and adhered it on the panel before adhering the panel itself onto kraft coloured cardbase. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear sequins.

Penny Black Home for Christmas: Full of Joy

Here's an idea for a quick Christmas card using new Penny Black dies. I quite rarely make cards without stamped images but I needed to make a Christmas card quickly and these dies helped with that. I simply used a piece of white textured cardstock and die cut the bottom of it with Spirited die to give it a beautiful snowflake edge. I then attached a piece of patterned paper from Holiday Trimmings paper pad on my cardbase and attached the panel firstly to craft foam and then to my cardbase after I had stamped a sentiment from Christmas Greetings sentiment set on the panel. Next, I die cut the word 'Joyful' using Full of Joy die and attached the letters to the panel. Lastly, I die cut some snowflakes using Dancing Snowflakes die, attached them in their places and embellished them with sticky back pearls.  Lots of white-on-white action on this card but I think it gives an elegant feel to it.

Happy Father's Day - Hyvää isänpäivää

It's Father's Day today and this is the card I made for my Dad. I used beautiful stamps by Memory Box in collaboration with Simon Says Stamp called Life's Path. It's a fairly simple card, I just stamped the images and coloured them with my Copics before layering the panel onto first green, and then onto dark grey cardstock. The sentiment says 'Happy Father's Day'. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

AAA Birthday: November - Marraskuu

 

It's November and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. For the month of November, our theme is 'Animals' and as our Guest Designer, we have the fabulous Kailash.

I made my DT card with a stamp from the sweet Colorado Craft Company stamp set Christmas Presents - I'm trying to get a bit more mileage from the stamps by using Christmas stamps in a birthday card. I coloured the image with my Copics and created a simple background by masking a rectangle and sponging some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Broken China onto the rectangle. I then adhered the image on the card and stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday') on it.

Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Jubilation

Here's a quick and easy Christmas card made with new dies from the new Penny Black release, Making Spirits Bright.

It's a slimline card that I made using the new dies Slimline Medley. I used all three dies together so I got the 'ripped' outer edge, the stitched frame and the circle windows all in one card. I adhered light blue cardstock and some vellum behind the card to get a frosty blue background for the circle windows. I then die cut the word 'joy' out of red cardstock with the new Jubilation die. I die cut the wreath a second time out of Copic friendly cardstock and coloured the wreath in with my Copics before cutting the circle out of the original red wreath with my scissors and adhering it to the wreath. I heat embossed the sentiment from an older Penny Black stamp set Pinecone Perch onto a strip of brown cardstock and adhered it with some foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

Tein slimline-joulukortin uusilla Penny Blackin stansseilla. Korttipohjan stanssasin Slimline Medley -stansseilla ja korttipohjan taakse kiinnitin vaaleansinistä kartonkia, jonka päällä on vellumia. Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Candlelight

Here's another gorgeous stamp from the new Penny Black collection, Making Spirits Bright. This is called Candlelight.

I stamped the image on kraft coloured cardstock and coloured it with my Copics, apart from the candles themselves which I lightly coloured with a white pencil. I then inked the edges of the panel with Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy (my go-to combination at the moment) before stamping a sentiment from the sentiment set Christmas Greetings. Before adhering the panel onto a piece of white cardstock and to my dark green cardbase, I splattered some white watercolour onto it.

This is one of my favourite stamps from the new Christmas collection, Making Spirits Bright, by Penny Black. It's called Christmas Blush.

I created an almost-one-layer card with this stamp. I stamped the image on Copic friendly paper and coloured it in with my Copics. I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy on the card to create a frame to the image before splattering some white watercolour on the panel. I heat embossed a sentiment from the sentiment set Touched by Peace on a strip of dark brown cardstock and adhered it in place. Lastly, I embellished the card with some white sequins.

Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Darling Delivery

Here's a slimline Christmas card I made using new stamps and dies from the fabulous new Christmas collection by Penny Black called Making Spirits Bright.

I made the cardbase using the new Slimline Medly die. On the panel, I stamped the new Darling Delivery stamp and coloured the image with my Copics. I stamped a sentiment from the new Christmas Greetings sentiment set. The gorgeous border on the upper part of the card is made with a die from the new die set called Spirited, it has three different border dies that fit the tall side of a slimline card but for this card, I used only a part of it. I also decorated the die cut with some baker's twine. I added some die cut snowflakes, too, die cut with the new Dancing Snowflakes die to embellish the card (but as they are pretty much white on white, you can't really see them in the photo..).

Boordin yläreunaan stanssasin stanssilla uudesta Spirited-stanssisetistä, kaikki setin stanssit riittävät slimline-kortin pitkän reunan pituuteen mutta tässä kortissa käytin vain osan. Koristelin boordin vielä nyörillä. Stanssasin korttiin myös lumihiutaleita uusilla stansseilla Dancing Snowflakes -setistä, mutta ne eivät tietysti kuvassa kovin hyvin näy, kun ovat valkoista valkoisella. Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Christmas Circlet

Here's a Christmas card I made with a new stamp called Christmas Circlet from the fab new collection by Penny Black called Making Spirits Bright.

I stamped the image on a panel of Copic friendly paper and coloured the image with my Copics. I also added some sparkle to the little grey leaves with some clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer markers but unfortunately, it doesn't show in the photo (but it's really pretty in real life!). I stamped a sentiment inside the wreath from the new sentiment set Season to Believe and embellished the wreath with a little twine bow and some sticky back pearls. Next, I matted the panel onto some green cardstock, adhered a strip of patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime onto my cardbase and adhered the panel onto the cardbase with some craft foam between the panel and the cardbase.

Kranssin koristelin rusetilla ja muutamalla puolihelmellä. Kiinnitin paneelin vihreälle kartongille, taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia paperikosta Wintertime. Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Holly Berry Branch

Penny Black has just released a new collection of Christmas stamps and dies called Making Spirits Bright and it is gorgeous, full of absolutely beautiful stamps and dies!

I made my first slimline card with the new Slimline Medley dies. I die cut the panel out of Copic friendly cardstock and stamped the image on it. The stamp I used is called Holly Berry Branch, I coloured it with my Copics. I then put the die back in place and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy on the edges of the panel before stamping my sentiment from the new Christmas Greetings sentiment set. I embellished the card with some twine tied into a little bow and some gold sequins.

Penny Black Autumn 2021: Autumn Majesty

I made this card using a new brushstroke stamp by Penny Black called Autumn Majesty. I simply coloured onto the stamp with my Zig markers and stamped onto my cardstock, colouring and stamping several times. When I was happy with the colour, I spritzed the stamp lightly with water and stamped once again.  I then die cut onto the image with Ribbon Stackers die and adhered some craft foam behind the die cut part. I also sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy onto the edges of the panel and stamped a sentiment from the new Autumn Is Calling sentiment set onto the middle panel. I then splattered some gold ink onto the edges of the middle panel before adhering everything in place onto my kraft coloured card base.

Tämä syyskortti syntyi Penny Blackin uudella Autumn Majesty -leimalla. Väritin suoraan leimaan Zigeillä ja leimailin kartongille. Kun olin tyytyväinen väriin, suihkaisin leimaan kevyesti vettä ja leimasin vielä kertaalleen vedellä, jonka jälkeen stanssasin leimakuvaan Ribbon Stackers -stanssilla. Stanssatun kehyksen taakse laitoin fun foamia, jotta sain sen hieman koholle. Paneelin ulkoreuniin mustetin Distress Oxide -musteilla Antique Linen ja Brushed Corduroy ja sisäpaneeliin leimasin tekstileiman Autumn Is Calling -tekstileimasetistä. Sisäpaneelin reunoille roiskin kultamustetta. Sitten vain kiinnitin osaset paikoilleen kraftin väriselle korttipohjalle. Penny Black Autumn 2021: Autumn Bouquet

It's October (already..!) and time for a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. As always, our theme is Anything Goes with October's optional twist being Colour Inspiration (please see PBSC post for the colours).

For my card, I used a gorgeous new stamp by Penny Black called Autumn Bouquet from their new collection of stamps and dies, Autumn 2021. I coloured the image using my Copics, and I also used five of the colours from our Colour Inspiration (orange, green, red, white, teal - along with a bit of yellow and kraft). I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy on the panel creating a rectangle behind the stamped image. I took a sentiment from the new sentiment set Autumn Is Calling and stamped it onto a strip of vellum. After adhering the vellum, I adhered the card panel onto kraft coloured card base.

Penny Black Autumn 2021: Golden

I have a made an autumn themed card with a gorgeous new wreath stamp by Penny Black called Golden. This stamp is from Penny Black's newest collection Autumn 2021.

I stamped the image on a Copic friendly paper and coloured it with my Copics. I then stamped a sentiment from the new Autumn Is Calling sentiment set in the middle of the wreath before matting the panel onto dark brown cardstock. I tied a piece of twine around the panel and tied it into a bow before adhering some craft foam on the backside of the panel. Then I adhered the whole panel onto kraft coloured card base before embellishing it with some clear sequins.

Tämä ihana kranssileima on Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Autumn 2021 ja nimeltään Golden. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja leimasin tekstileiman uudesta tekstileimasetistä Autumn Is Calling sen keskelle. Paneelin kerrostin tummanruskealle kartongille ja sidoin sen ympärille narua. Paneelin taakse kiinnitin fun foamia, jotta sain sen hieman koholle kraftin värisestä korttipohjasta. Lopulta koristelin kortin kirkkailla paljeteilla. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black: Set Sail

I love Penny Black's Set Sail stamp set. Not only do they work on summer themed cards, but they work on masculine birthday cards as well! And masculine birthday cards are what I made with the stamps.

On the first card, I stamped the glass bottle and the little sail boat inside it before colouring the image with my Copics and fussy cutting it out. For the background, I die cut a panel with Zig-Zag Stackers die, left the die in place and sponged the panel with some Distress Oxide inks (Speckled Eggs, Weathered Wood and Broken China). I added a bit of patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad on my card base and added a die cut element behind the panel (die cut with Burlap Edge die). I heat embossed a sentiment from Snippets stamp set onto a strip of cardstock and adhered it in place (I adhered both the bottle and the sentiment strip with foam adhesives). Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

For the second card, I chose another cute sail boat from the Set Sail stamp set, coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I then created the background by smooshing different Distress ink pads on my craft mat, spritzing it with water and then smooshing a panel of watercolour paper on it. I die cut a frame for it with Stitched Circles die and adhered it to frame the panel I made. I heat embossed a sentiment from Carefree Wishes sentiment set onto a torn strip of vellum and adhred it onto the circular panel before adhering the sail boat with foam adhesives. Before adhering the circular panel onto my card base, I splattered some blue Distress inks onto it.

Penny Black: At Ease

I know it's only late September but I already miss summer! I'm definitely not an autumn person... But as I cannot have summer in real life, I'll have it on my card! I created this card with Penny Black's At Ease stamp set - I love that sweet beach hut! I coloured the beach hut with Distress ink refillers and fussy cut it out. For the background, I die cut a panel using Zig-Zag Stackers die and then stamped the beach scene with Mountain Magic stamp set. I then repositioned the die back in place and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Broken China onto it with the die leaving a lovely white border around the panel. I also placed some patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad behind the panel.

En todellakaan ole syysihminen, joten kaipuu kevääseen ja kesään alkaa jo vaivata tässä vaiheessa syksyä. Mutta koska oikeasti en kesää tähän hätään saa, tein sen sitten korttiini! Laitoin sitten stanssin takaisin paikoilleen ja mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteiden sävyillä Speckled Egg ja Broken China, näin stanssi jätti kivan valkoisen reunustan paneeliin. Hi - Hei

 I made a just because card with Stamping Bella's Curvy Girl Loves Autumn stamp. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and fussy cut it out. For the background, I combine some patterned papers and heat embossed my sentiment (also Stamping Bella) on a strip of brown cardstock die cut with an MFT die. I then embellished the card with a heart die cut with a Penny Black die and a little pearl.

Taustalle laitoin kuviopapereita ja MFT:n stanssilla stanssatun kartonkistripin, johon embossasin tekstileiman (myös Stamping Bellaa). Koristelin kortin Penny Blackin stanssilla stanssatulla sydämellä ja pienellä puolihelmellä.

On your birthday - Syntymäpäivänäsi

I love this floral stamp by Ellen Hutson, it's called Mondo Sakura. I coloured it with my Copics. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple to highlight the gorgeous stamp so I simply masked the three edges of my cardbase and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage onto it so that it fades towards the bottom of the card. Then I adhered the stamped image onto it, heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'On your birthday') on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place and embellished the card with some pale pink enamel dots.

Tämä Ellen Hutsonin Mondo Sakura -leima on niin ihana, että halusin pitää muun kortin simppelinä niin, että leimakuva korostuu. Leimakuva on väritetty Copiceilla ja taustalle maskasin suorakulmion kolme reunaa ja mustetin alueen Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Bundled Sage niin, että väri haalenee pohjaa kohti. Tekstileiman embossasin mustalle kartonkisoirolle ja kortin koristelin muutamalla enamel dotsilla.

Congrats on your new home! - Onnea uuteen kotiin!

A dear friend of mine moved houses some time ago and I made her this house warming card. I used a stamp by Hero Arts called Venetian Neighborhood - it doesn't look anything like her new house but it's such a beautiful stamp that I wanted to use it anyway! I coloured the image with my watercolours, cut the panel down to size and matted it onto dark brown cardstock. I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'congrats on your new home') on a strip of yellow cardstock and attached it to my card panel with foam adhesives.

Tämä kortti meni ihanalle ystävälleni, joka joku aika sitten muutti uuteen kotiin. Tämä Hero Artsin Venetian Neighborhood -leima ei muistuta yhtään hänen uutta kotiaan, mutta on kuitenkin niin ihana, että halusin sitä käyttää. Väritin leimakuvan vesiväreillä ja leikkasin sen oikeaan kokoon ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin tummanruskealle kartongille. Tekstileiman embossasin keltaiselle kartonkipalalle ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla kiinni.

I made a birthday card with this cute Stamping Bella stamp, it's Teeny Tiny Townie with a Bouquet. I coloured the image with my Copics. For the background, I added a bit of floral patterned paper and a panel die cut with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die. I added my sentiment (it says 'Huge Congrats') onto a sentiment strip die cut with an MFT die and embellished the card with some enamel dots.

AAA Birthday: September - Syyskuu

The September challenge is live at AAA Birthday and this time the theme is Not a Card. Our Guest Designer for September is Marieke.

I decided to make a gift tag. The cute bunny is from the set Dandelion Wishes by Mama Elephant, I coloured him with my Copics and die cut him out with the matching dies. I created the tag using Tags a Lot dies by Mama Elephant and created a little scene on it using a piece of patterned paper and dies from the Hanging Planters die set by Penny Black. Lastly, I embellished the tag with a little bow.

Syyskuun haaste on alkamassa AAA Birthdayssä ja aiheena on Not a Card. Guest Designerina meillä on Marieke.

Päätin tehdä pienen lahjatagin, johon käytin pupua Mama Elephant -setistä Dandelion Wishes. Pupusen väritin Copiceilla. Tagiin käytin Mama Elephant -stansseja Tags a Lot ja viimeistelin sen palasella kuviopaperia ja Penny Blackin Hanging Planters -stanssisetin stansseilla tehdyillä oksilla.
