Penny Black Season of Hope: Kindness & Joy

I love cute snowmen and I think this snowman with his little birdie friends is the cutest ever! This stamp called Kindness & Joy is a part of the new Penny Black release called Season of Hope that includes loads of gorgeous holiday stamps and dies.

I coloured the snowman with my Copics and used the matching die, Kindness & Joy Cut Out, to die cut it. The panel is die cut with a die from the new frame die set called Graceful Stackers. I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to colour the panel and then removed the die to reveal the white border around the panel. I chose a sentiment from the new sentiment set called Christmas Feeling and stamped it onto the panel. I then added a layer of craft foam behind the panel to give it a bit of 3-D effect before adhering it to my card base. To embellish the card, I added a die cut branch behind the panel, it's die cut with the new Juniper die, and some clear sequins.

Penny Blackilta on tullut uusia joululeimasimia ja -stansseja, kokoelma on nimeltään Season of Hope, ja tämä ihana lumiukko on osa sitä. Leiman nimi on Kindness & Joy ja sille on mätsäävä stanssikin, Kindness & Joy Cut Out. Väritin lumiukon Copiceilla ja stanssasin sen irti. Taustan paneelin stanssasin Graceful Stackers -stanssisetin stanssilla, jätin stanssin paikoilleen ja mustetin paneelin Distress Oxideilla ennen kuin irrotin stanssin, näin sain valkoisen reunuksen paneeliin. Cute - Söpö

I wanted to make something super cute so I decided to colour this sweet image by Lili of the Valley. It's an older stamp called Pom Pom and I coloured it with my Copics before die cutting the panel with a die by MFT. I then added some Stickles glitter glue to her sweet little skirt. I placed some patterned paper in the background, stamped a birthday sentiment on a sentiment strip die cut with an MFT die and added a heart die cut with a Lawn Fawn die. I also used a super sparkly gem and some twine to embellish the card.

Olin söpistely-fiiliksellä ja väritin tämän Lili of the Valleyn supersöpön leimakuvan Pom Pom. Värityksen tein Copiceilla ja hameeseen lisäsin Sticklesiä. Paneelin stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla samoin kuin tekstistripin. Taustalle kuviopaperia ja koristeiksi Lawn Fawnin stanssilla stanssattu sydän, kimalteleva "nappi" ja hieman nyöriä.

Eucalyptus - Eukalyptus

I love the look of no line watercolouring but dang it, it's so difficult to do! I've been practising it and so far this is my best effort (still need loads of practise though...). I used a stamp from Breathe In, Breathe Out stamp set by Create a Smile and coloured it with my watercolours. I wanted to keep the card simple so I just splattered some grey watercolour on it, stamped my sentiment (translates as 'Huge congratulations') and matted the panel onto dark grey cardstock before adhering to light grey card base.

No line -vesiväritys on niin kaunista mutta myös niin vaikeaa..! Olen sitä koittanut harjoitella ja tässä toistaiseksi paras yritys. Rose Garden - Ruusutarha

I made a birthday card with one of my latest acquisitions, this gorgeous stamp is Rose Garden by My Favorite Things - a lovely stamp to colour! I coloured it using my Copics and die cut it with its matching die. I wanted the stamped image to take center stage so I kept the background quite simple: just a bit of patterned paper and a simple frame die cut with rectangle dies. The sentiment says something like 'Heartfelt congratulations'. I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Penny Black Autumn Extraordinaire: Hugs & Cuddles

  

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Our theme for October is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme of Too Cute to Spook!

For my DT card, I used this cute little fox from the new Hugs & Cuddles stamp set coloured with my Zig Markers. I placed him and some leaves from the new Falling Leaves stamp set and the acorns from the new Bountiful Beauty stamp set into the cute little envelope from Exquisite Envelope set, all coloured with Zig Markers. I stamped my sentiment from Snippets sentiment set onto the envelope and placed a circular frame behind it, die cut with Stitched Circles dies. For the background I used patterned paper from Gentle Whisper paper pad matted onto brown cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with sequins.

The Flower Challenge: October - Lokakuu

 

We're midway through October challenge at The Flower Challenge. This month we're also celebrating our 4th birthday so there are lots of prizes to be won! Please head over to The Flower Challenge blog to see them. Aaand we have a new DT member joining us this month too! It is the very talented Loll Thompson who has agreed to join us and who will undoubtedly inspire us all with her gorgeous cards.

 

 

 

So our theme is Circle/Circles and I used a die from the die set Framed by Penny Black to create my circle. I die cut the circle three times and glued them all on top of each other to make the circle a bit more prominent. The flower I used is a stamp by SugarPea Designs and from the set Meadow Motifs, I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it using the matching die. I die cut the panel with My Favorite Things die and stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations') on it. Before attaching the panel to my card base, I added a layer of fun foam behind it to raise it from the card base. Lastly, I rounded the corners of my card base.

Teema on siis Circle/Circles. Oman ympyräni tein Penny Blackin stanssilla setistä Framed, stanssasin sen kolmeen kertaan ja liimasin päällekkäin. Penny Black Autumn Extraordinaire: Autumn Decor

I created this card with new dies from the new Penny Black release Autumn Extraordinaire. The die set I used is called Autumn Decor.

I die cut all the elements and coloured them with my Copics and I love the effect it gave, it looks a lot like no-line colouring. I die cut the panel using Stitched Nested Frames die and the circles using a die from the set Framed. I attached the circles onto the panel and adhered all the elements on the circles with foam adhesives. The sentiment is from the set Harvest Breeze, I heat embossed it in white onto a strip of dark brown cardstock. I then adhered the panel onto my card base and embellished the card with sticky back pearls.

Birthday girl - Päivänsankari

 I had so much fun colouring this image! This is Hayley the Hero by Stamping Bella and I coloured her with my Copics before fussy cutting her. For the background I simply added a piece of patterned paper and a frame die cut with a die by My Favorite Things. There's a little pun with the sentiment which I heat embossed in white. In Finnish there's no such term as 'birthday girl' or 'birthday boy', anyone celebrating their birthday is 'hero of the day' as my sentiment here says, and I thought it fits only too well with the stamped image, ha ha! I embellished my card with some black enamel dots.

Penny Black Autumn Extraordinaire: Harvest Breeze

I created this little harvest scene with new stamps and dies from the new autumn themed release by Penny Black called Autumn Extraordinaire. The stamps I used are from the set Harvest Breeze that has a set of matching dies called Harvest Breeze Cut Out.

I coloured everything with my Copics before die cutting them with the matching dies. The ground is die cut with Rolling Hills die, I also added little snippets of foliage die cut with Garden Edgers die along the edge of the ground. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder and I arranged and adhered everything on a panel die cut with Swirly Stitches die, I also did some ink blending and splattered some gold spray onto the panel. Lastly, I adhered some gold sticky back pearls to embellish my card.

Peaceful Christmas time - Rauhallista joulunaikaa

I've had this stamp for some time now and I've been itching to colour her and now I finally had some time to do it. This gorgeous stamp is called Bundle Girl with Penguin by Stamping Bella, I stamped her onto Copic friendly cardstock and colour her with my Copics. I wanted to keep the card simple so I just stamped the sentiment (it wishes 'Peaceful Christmas time') onto the panel that I die cut with an MFT die, matted the panel onto light grey cardstock and layered some patterned papers behind the panel. I decided not to embellish the card in any way.

Tällainen kortti syntyi Stamping Bellan Bundle Girl with Penguin -leimalla, jonka vihdoin ehdin väritellä. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla, leimasin tekstin ja stanssasin paneelin MFT:n stanssilla ennen kuin kerrostin sen vaaleanharmaalle kartongille. Taustalle kerrostin kuviopapereita. En koristellut korttia mitenkään sen kummemmin, koska halusin pitää sen mahdollisimman simppelinä.

I just love these peacefully sleeping forest animals! They're new stamps from Penny Black's newest release Autumn Extraordinaire and called Hugs & Cuddles.

For the first card I used the beautiful fox that I coloured with my watercolours before die cutting it with the matching dies, Hugs & Cuddles Cut Out. The acorns and oak leaves are from the new stamp set Bountiful Beauty, I coloured them with my watercolours as well and fussy cut them. I die cut the circle with Stitched Circles die and placed a piece of patterned paper from Painted Blooms paper pad behind it. The sentiment is from the sentiment set Happy Snippets, stamped with brown ink. Lastly, I embellished the card with some golden sticky back pearls.

For the second card I used the squirrel from the Hugs & Cuddles set and this time I coloured it with my Copic markers before die cutting it with the matching die. I placed it inside the autumn wreath from the new set Harvest Wishes, I coloured it with Copics as well before die cutting it with the matching die and placing some vellum behind it. For the background I used some kraft coloured cardstock and stamped autumn leaves on it with light brown ink. The leaves are from the set Falling Leaves. For the sentiment, I die cut the word 'fall' with a die from the new die set Autumn Decor and then heat embossed the word 'wishes' with the sentiment from Harvest Wishes stamp set. Lastly, I embellished the card with some golden sequins.

Tekstin kokosin stanssaamalla sanan 'fall' Autumn Decor -stanssisetin stanssilla ja embossaamalla sanan 'wishes' Harvest Wishes -setin leimalla. Lopuksi koristelin kortin kultapaljeteilla.

AAA Birthday: October - Lokakuu

 

 

 

It's October and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. This time we have a lovely inspiration photo for you draw inspiration from (please see above).

I was inspired by the sunflowers and the colours and I also used a circle frame to imitate the opening of the cornucopia in the photo. The stamp I used is Sunflower Love by Waffle Flower, I coloured it with my Copics. The circle frame is die cut with Stitched Circles dies by Penny Black. For the background I used a bit of patterned paper. The sentiment is a Finnish one and it says 'Congratulations'. I embellished my card with some gold sequins and splatters of white watercolour and gold shimmer mist.

I made my card using the gorgeous florals from the Meadow Motifs set by SugarPea Designs that I coloured with my Copics. For my circle, I made a circle frame with the Stitched Circles dies by Penny Black and placed a piece of vellum behind it before heat embossing the sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) with gold embossing powder. I also placed some rich brown patterned paper for the background on my card. I finished the card by embellishing it with matte gold sequins.

I used stamps from two new sets, the cute hedgies and the sentiment is from the set Harvest Breeze and the leaves on the ground are from the set Falling Leaves. I coloured the images with my watercolours, fussy cut the hedgies and die cut the leaves with their matching dies. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the background, stamped tiny leaves from the Harvest Breeze set on it and adhered everything in place. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of brown cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I splattered some gold spray onto the card.

Penny Black Autumn Extraordinaire: Harvest Wishes

Penny Black has release a gorgeous new collection of autumn themed stamps and dies called Autumn Extraordinaire and I'm sharing a card made with a stamp called Harvest Wishes that has a matching die called Harvest Wishes Cut Out. The stamp set has two stamps and I chose to use this beautiful autumnal wreath. I coloured it with my watercolours, die cut it with the matching die and added some accents with gold Gelly Roll pen. I die cut the wreath a couple of times using thick watercolour paper and adhered them underneath my watercoloured wreath so that I was able to make the wreath stand out a bit. For the background I used a piece of patterned paper from Painted Blooms paperpad matted onto brown cardstock. I added vellum there too onto which I heat embossed a sentiment from the set Grateful Sentiments. Lastly, I embellished the card with a few sticky back pearls.

Tämä kortti syntyi uudella Penny Black -leimasimella nimeltään Harvest Wishes, joka on uudesta kokoelmasta Autumn Extraordinaire. Leimaan on mätsäävä stanssikin, Harvest Wishes Cut Out. Väritin leimakuvan vesiväreillä, stanssasin ja koristelin muutamalla kultaisella Gelly Roll -yksityiskohdalla. Stanssasin kranssin pariin kertaan paksusta vesiväripaperista ja kiinnitin väritetyn kranssin pohjaan, jotta sain stanssattuun leimakuvaan paksuutta. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Painted Blooms -paperikosta, jonka kerrostin ruskealle kartongille ja jonka päälle laitoin vellumia. Vellumiin embossasin tekstin Grateful Sentiments -setistä. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla puolihelmellä. Käytetyt tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.
