Guest Designing at Seize the Birthday Challenge

I have the honour of Guest Designing at the current Seize the Birthday challenge. I am absolutely thrilled and want to thank the Design Team for having me! The theme is always 'birthday' and this time the optional topping is 'Clean and Simple with a Stencil'.

I created my card by using a stencil from Create a Smile and ink blending Distress Oxide inks through it. I then stamped and die cut the beautiful florals from Pinkfresh Studio's set It's a New Day Floral and coloured them with my Copics before arranging and adhering them onto the card. The sentiment is from the Pinkfresh Studio stamp set Choose Hope. I added some half pearls as embellishments.

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday challenge blog to see the amazing inspiration from the Design Team and please do join in on the fun!

Rise to New Heights

I wanted to make a card for the current Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge where the theme is 'Create a project with clouds'. At first I was sure I didn't have anything with clouds but then I went through my Hero Arts stamps and realised Sky's the Limit Balloons set had cloud stamps in it. So encouragement card it is with a hot air balloon and some clouds! I stamped the images on a panel die cut with a die from the Spellbinders set Scored and Pierced Rectangles, and watercoloured them with my Karin Markers. I then placed the die back in place and ink blended some blue Distress Oxide ink to the panel, removed the die and stamped the sentiment (it's from the same stamp set). I also splattered some blue and black watercolour on the image. For the background, I dry embossed a piece of cardstock with a Studio Light embossing folder.

Monochrome Flower

I made a card for the current Pinkfresh Studio challenge with the theme of Tone-on-Tone & Monochromatic Magic. I used the Folk Floral Stem stamp and the matching die from Pinkfresh Studio and coloured the image with my Copics using the R30s colour family. The die I used for the frame is Ornate Oval Frame (Pinkfresh Studio) and I was hoping to have it in pink matching the leaves on the flower stem but unfortunately, I did not have an exact match in my cardstock so I had to use white. The background is simply a piece of red cardstock, the heat embossed sentiment says 'On Your Special Day', and as embellishments I used gorgeous red gems, also by Pinkfresh Studio.

Floral Cluster

I made this card following a sketch over at The Flower Challenge. The stamp I used is from the set Spring Bouquets by Gina K Designs and as usual, I coloured the image with my Copics. I layered some leaves behind the floral cluster using a die called Dignified by Penny Black. The sentiment is also die cut and translates as 'Congrats'. I layered the white rectangle panel onto a panel of teal coloured cardstock before adhering it all to my card base. After adhering everything in place, I embellished the card with some gorgeous red gems.

Sunflowers

I made this card simply because I wanted to colour this image -  this is Sunflower Garden by Simon Says Stamp and I just love those happy sunflowers. I didn't use any sentiment so this is usable for anything really, I simply added the frame that I die cut with Pinkfresh Studio die Stitched Scallop Rectangles and some pretty gems. Quick and easy!
