Penny Black Home for Christmas: Full of Joy

Here's an idea for a quick Christmas card using new Penny Black dies. I quite rarely make cards without stamped images but I needed to make a Christmas card quickly and these dies helped with that. I simply used a piece of white textured cardstock and die cut the bottom of it with Spirited die to give it a beautiful snowflake edge. I then attached a piece of patterned paper from Holiday Trimmings paper pad on my cardbase and attached the panel firstly to craft foam and then to my cardbase after I had stamped a sentiment from Christmas Greetings sentiment set on the panel. Next, I die cut the word 'Joyful' using Full of Joy die and attached the letters to the panel. Lastly, I die cut some snowflakes using Dancing Snowflakes die, attached them in their places and embellished them with sticky back pearls.  Lots of white-on-white action on this card but I think it gives an elegant feel to it.

Teen harvoin kortteja ilman leimakuvaa, mutta nyt oli tarve nopealle joulukortille ja tästä tuli sellainen Penny Blackin tuotteilla. Stanssasin valkoisen paneelin alareunaan Penny Blackin Spirited-stanssilla kauniin lumihiutalereunan ja leimasin siihen tekstileiman Christmas Greetings -setistä. Korttipohjaan laitoin suikaleen kuviopaperia Holiday Trimmings -paperikosta ja kiinnitin valkoisen paneelin ensin fun foamille ja sitten korttipohjaan. Stanssasin 'joyful' sanan Full of Joy -stanssilla ja kiinnitin kirjaimet paikalleen. Lopulta stanssasin lumihiutaleita Dancing Snowflakes -stanssilla, kiinnitin ne paikalleen ja koristelin ne puolihelmillä. Happy Father's Day - Hyvää isänpäivää

It's Father's Day today and this is the card I made for my Dad. I used beautiful stamps by Memory Box in collaboration with Simon Says Stamp called Life's Path. It's a fairly simple card, I just stamped the images and coloured them with my Copics before layering the panel onto first green, and then onto dark grey cardstock. The sentiment says 'Happy Father's Day'. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tein tämän isälleni isänpäiväkortiksi. Leimoina käytin Memory Boxin Life's Path -leimasettiä. Kortti itsessään on aika simppeli, väritin vain leimakuvan Copiceilla ja kerrostin vihreälle ja harmaalle kartongille. Tekstileimat ovat Heidin Korttipajan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla enamel dotsilla.

Penny Black Making Spirits Bright: Winter Blooms

A new challenge has started at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Not a Card. As our Guest Designer we have Bunny.

I chose Anything Goes and created a Christmas card with the gorgeous new stamp by Penny Black called Winter Blooms. I coloured the image with my Copics and cut it along the frame before matting it on to dark green cardstock and white card base. I stamped a sentiment from the new sentiment set called Christmas Greetings onto the panel and embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

AAA Birthday: November - Marraskuu

 

It's November and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. For the month of November, our theme is 'Animals' and as our Guest Designer, we have the fabulous Kailash.

I made my DT card with a stamp from the sweet Colorado Craft Company stamp set Christmas Presents - I'm trying to get a bit more mileage from the stamps by using Christmas stamps in a birthday card. I coloured the image with my Copics and created a simple background by masking a rectangle and sponging some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Broken China onto the rectangle. I then adhered the image on the card and stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday') on it.
