Wild Meadow - Kukkaniitty

I'm not sure I've ever used this particular stamp from the Mama Elephant set Wild Meadow even though I've had it for some time now so I had to do something about that - and here's the result! I coloured the image with my Copic markers and die cut it with the matching die. I then created a frame on my cardbase with a bit of masking and some Distress Oxide inks and adhered the stamped image onto it. I adhered the die cut sentiment (it says 'Congrats'), added a strip of dark grey cardstock and embellished the card with some clear sequins.

En ole tainnut koskaan käyttää tätä leimaa Mama Elephantin setistä Wild Meadow, mutta nytpä käytin! Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin mätsäävällä stanssilla. Tein kehyksen korttipohjaan maskaamalla ja Distress Oxide -musteilla, kiinnitin leimakuvan paikoilleen ja lisäsin suikaleen tummanharmaata kartonkia. Teksti on stanssattu Korttipajan stanssilla ja koristeina on taas muutama kirkas paljetti.

PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

The July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is half-way through but you still have plenty of time to join us! Our theme is, as always, Anything Goes and the optional theme for July is Monochrome. 

I decided to go for the Anything Goes theme and colour this gorgeous floral image by Penny Black called Captivating with my Copics. After having coloured the image, I lightly sponged the edges of the panel with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen and splattered some gold spray onto the edges. I then die cut the sentiment (it says 'Congrats' in Finnish) and adhered it in place. Lastly, I matted the panel onto dark brown cardstock before adhering it onto my cardbase.

Heinäkuun haaste Penny Black Saturday Challengessä on puolivälissä mutta vielä ehtii hyvin mukaan. Teemana on Anything Goes ja heinäkuun vaihtoehtoinen teema on Monochrome. Itse menin Anything Goes -teemalla ja käytin korttiini Penny Blackin ihanaa Captivating-leimaa. Leimakuvan väritin Copiceilla. Paneelin reunat mustetin Distress Oxide -musteella sävyssä Antique Linen ja roiskin reunoille vielä kultasuihketta. Tekstin stanssasin Korttipajan stanssilla ja lopulta kerrostin paneelin tummanruskealle kartongille ennen kuin kiinnitin sen korttipohjaan.

AAA Birthday: July - Heinäkuu

The July challenge at AAA Birthday is now live and our theme for this month is Use An Embossing Folder. Our Guest Designer is Debbie Mageed.

The beautiful stamp I used on my card is by Altenew and it is called Paint-A-Flower: Tulip. I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I then used a swiss dot embossing folder to emboss a panel of light grey cardstock and added a frame to it by die cutting a window to a panel of white cardstock with Penny Black's Graceful Stackers die. I adhered some craft foam on the back the white panel before adhering it to the light grey cardstock. I adhered the bouquet on the card with foam adhesives before adhering my sentiment - a die cut word and a heat embossed word that together say 'Happy Birthday' in Finnish. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Käytin korttiini Altenew'n Paint-A-Flower: Tulip -leimaa, jonka väritin Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Kohokuvioin harmaan kartongin kohokuviointitaskulla ja tein sille kehyksen stanssaamalla valkoisen paneelin Penny Blackin Graceful Stackers -stanssilla. Kiinnitin valkoisen kehyksen taakse fun foamia, jotta sain sen hieman koholle pohjasta. Myös leimakuvan kiinnitin koholle kohotarroilla. Teksti on Korttipajan tuotteilla tehty, osin stanssattu ja osin embossattu. Kortin koristelin kirkkailla paljeteilla.

AAA Birthdayssä kannattaa käydä katsomassa tiimiläisten ja Guest Designerin kortit ja tietysti osallistua itse haasteeseen.

PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

It's time for a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge and our theme for July is Anything Goes and the optional theme is Monochrome. 

I started to make a monochromatic card but couldn't help adding a pop of yellow in there too so mine is not totally monochrome - but the colour combo looks lovely! This card was really very quick and easy to make. I simply die cut the background panel with Penny Black's Geometric Circles die and adhered it on my card base. I then die cut the banner using Pocket and Banners die and stamped the sentiment on it from the sentiment set Snowflake Season. The flower is die cut with Playful Posies die - I simply cut one flower off from the die cut with my scissors. After adhering everything in place (the banner and the flower are both adhered with foam adhesives) I decorated the card with one sparkly rhinestone (it looks almost white in the photo but it really is sparkly clear).

Heinäkuun haaste Penny Black Saturday Challengessä on Anything Goes vaihtoehtoisella teemalla Monochrome. Itse aloitin tekemään korttia yhdellä värillä mutta en voinut vastustaa kiusausta lisätä siihen keltainen kukka, joten ihan täysin 'monochrome' tämä ei ole.

Taustalle stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Geometric Circles -stanssilla. Teksti on setistä Snowflake Season ja leimasin sen bannerille, jonka stanssasin Pocket and Banners -stanssilla. Kukka on stanssattu Playful Posies -stanssilla, leikkasin vain saksilla yhden kukan irti isommasta kukkarykelmästä. Kiinnitin kaiken paikalleen, kukan ja bannerin kohotarroilla, ja koristelin kortin yhdellä timangilla. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

PBSC: June - Kesäkuu

The June challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is in full swing now so it's time for a reminder card. The theme for June is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Fussy & Fancy. As our Guest Designer, we have Stacey.

The stamp I used is from the stamp set Fragrant Friends by Penny Black. I coloured the image with my Zig markers and then die cut the panel with a die from the die set Graceful Stackers. I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage on the panel before removing the die. This left a crisp white border around the panel. I added some splatters with watered down Zig marker to the panel before adding the sentiment. I compiled the sentiment with a die cut word Hello (die cut with Hello & Thanks die) and stamped sentiment from the Snippets sentiment set. I stamped my green card base with Contemporary stamp before adhering my panel onto it.

Kesäkuun haaste Penny Black Saturday Challengessä on puolessa välissä, teemahan on Anything Goes/Fussy & Fancy. Guest Designerina on Stacey.

Käytin tähän leimaa Penny Blackin Fragrant Friends -setistä, väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä. Paneelin stanssasin Graceful Stackers -stanssilla, jätin stanssin paikoilleen ja mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteella Bundled Sage. Stanssin irrottamisen jälkeen paneelin reunoille jäi näin valkoiset reunat. Roiskin paneeliin myös hieman vedellä laimennettua Zigiä. Tekstin kokosin stanssatusta Hello-sanasta (stanssattu Thanks & Hello -stanssilla) ja leimatusta tekstistä, joka on setistä Snippets. Korttipohjaan leimasin Contemporary-leimalla ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin paikoilleen. 

AAA Birthday: June - Kesäkuu

The June challenge at AAA Birthday is live and fittingly for June, our theme is Flowers. Our Guest Designer is Nancy.

I used Darling Lily stamp by Altenew for my card. I coloured it with my Copics and die cut the panel with Antique Frame die by Penny Black. Before removing the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick on the panel so that the die left a nice white border around the panel. I die cut my sentiment (it says 'Congrats') and although it's not visible in the photo, I added some clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to the die cut. It has really pretty shimmer in real life. For the background, I added some stripey patterned paper and adhered the panel first on some craft foam and then onto the card. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear sequins.

Tein oman korttini Altenew'n Darling Lily -leimalla ja väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Antique Frame -stanssilla ja ennen kuin irrotin stanssin paneelista, mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteilla sävyissä Tattered Rose ja Worn Lipstick. Tekstin stanssasin Korttipajan stanssilla ja lisäsin siihen Nuvo Aqua Shimmer -kynää, kuvassa se ei näy mutta luonnossa näyttää todella nätiltä. Taustalle laitoin raitapaperia ja kiinnitin paneelin ensin fun foamille ja sitten korttipohjaan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin paljeteilla.

Penny Black Delight: Delight

The June challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is live and our theme is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme of 'Fussy & Fancy'. Our Guest Designer is Stacey. 

I went with Anything Goes theme and created this card with the gorgeous new Penny Black stamp called Delight. I stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured with my watercolours before die cutting the panel with Sewing Stackers die. I stamped the sentiment from Carefree Wishes set and splattered some gold ink spray onto the panel before matting the panel onto purple cardstock and then onto my light blue card base.
