Friend - Ystävä

I did a bit of crafty shopping earlier this summer and now had a play with some of my new stuff :) I love this bouquet of flowers, it's a stamp called Tumble Blossom #9 by Stamping Bella. I coloured it with my Lukas watercolours and die cut the panel with Leaf Stitched Frames die by Penny Black. I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide ink onto the panel so that the die left a white frame around the panel. I adhered the panel onto kraft coloured card base and added the die cut sentiment (Painted Friend by Simon Says Stamp), I die cut it out of dark brown cardstock although it looks pretty black in the photo.

Tein kortin uusilla ostoksillani :) Leima on ihana Stamping Bellan Tumble Blossom #9, väritin sen vesiväreillä. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Leaf Stitched Frames -stanssilla, jonka jätin paikoilleen ja mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteella niin, että stanssi jätti valkoisen reunan paneeliin. Paneelin kiinnitin korttipohjaan ja lopuksi lisäsin stanssatun tekstin (Simon Says Stampin Painted Friend).

Lilac - Syreeni

I love this sweet little girl! I think she looks so lovely in her floral dress and headpiece :) She is Garden Girl Lilac by Stamping Bella and I coloured her earlier in the summer during the Daily Marker 30 day Colouring Challenge. To make a card with her, I die cut her with the matching die and then die cut the frame using Stitched Stackers dies by Penny Black. I stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations') onto a piece of vellum and adhered it behind the frame. For the background I used a piece of patterned paper and I embellished the card with a single heart die cut with a Lawn Fawn die.

Tämä on Stamping Bellan Garden Girl Lilac ja mielestäni hän on hurmaava! :) Väritin tämän leimakuvan jo kesällä mutta vasta nyt tein sen kortiksi. Stanssasin leimakuvan irti ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla. Kehyksen stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -stansseilla, tekstileiman leimasin vellumvyötteelle. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia ja koristeeksi laitoin Lawn Fawnin stanssilla stanssatun sydämen.

Congratulations - Onnittelut

I had a play with my new Altenew stamps. I really like this floral stamp, it's from the Weekend Doodles set. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and die cut it. I folded my card base out of white linen textured cardstock, die cut a circle frame with an MFT die and adhered it to the cardbase. I added a strip of black cardstock where I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'Congratulations') and adhered everything in place (I adhered the floral image with foam adhesives to give it a bit more interest). Lastly, I embellished my card with black enamel dots.

Tein kortin uusilla Altenew'n leimoillani. Tämä on Weekend Doodles -setistä. Väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Taustalle laitoin MFT:n stanssilla stanssatun kehyksen, tekstileiman embossasin kartongin palaselle ja kiinnitin kaiken paikoilleen. Lopuksi koristelin kortin mustilla enamel dotseilla.

Penny Black Dreaming: Two Bears and a Mouse

This card mixes and matches different stamp sets from Penny Black's current release as well as a previous one. I started by stamping and colouring the critters with Copic markers. The big bear is a stamp called A Big Hug, the sitting bear is from the set Tea Party and the mouse is from the set It's Your Day. I then die cut the mouse the big bear with their matching dies and fussy cut the sitting bear. For the background, I cut a panel out of blue card stock and die cut windows in it with dies from Stitched Circles set. I also added a bit of  patterned paper from Wintertime paper pad behind the windows before adhering everything in place. I stamped the sentiment from It's Your Day stamp set onto a strip of white cardstock and adhered it in place. The blue 'twigs' are die cut with Garden Edgers die, I used only a couple of snippets from the row of grass that the die creates. Lastly, I added some white enamel dots.

Väritin ne Copiceilla ja stanssasin isoimman nallen ja hiirulaisen ja leikkasin istuvan nallen. Paneeliin stanssasin ikkunat Stitched Circles -setin stansseilla ja taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Wintertime-paperikosta. Tekstileima on niin ikään It's Your Day -setistä ja nuo siniset 'korret' stanssasin Garden Edgers -stanssilla ja käytin vain osasia siitä. Lopuksi lisäsin vielä muutaman enamel dotsin. The Flower Challenge #35: Reminder - Muistutus

We're midway through our August challenge at The Flower Challenge and the theme for August is 'Use Your Favourite Flower'. We're sponsored by Clearly Besotted who will kindly give our winner a gift certificate of 20 GBP! Our Guest Designer is the very talented Therese Calvird.

I love peonies and chose to use Peonies in Bloom set by Mama Elephant. I watercoloured the peonies and die cut them out. I added some gold splatters with my watercolour brush and Sheer Shimmer Spritz to my card base before arranging the flowers and the leaves. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment ('Congratulating You').

Penny Black Dreaming: A Present

I think this cute teddy with his huge present is perfect for a birthday card, so that's what I made :) The stamp I used is a new one from the new Penny Black release called A Present. I stamped it onto a watercolour paper panel and coloured with my watercolours. I then die cut the upper right corner with Curved Stitch die and placed a piece of patterned paper behind it, the patterned paper is from the pad Painted Blooms. I then stamped the sentiment which is from the new set called Beautiful Heart and adhered the panel onto my cardbase. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Penny Black Dreaming: Flower Collection

I have a floral card to share that I made with the new stamps and dies from the new collection by Penny Black called Dreaming. This stamp is from the set called Flower Collection, I stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured with my Lukas Aquarell 1862 watercolours. I then used the largest die from the new die set,  Leaf Stitched Frames, and die cut the panel. After die cutting I left the die in place and softly sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the panel (the die left a white frame around the panel). Before adhering the panel to my card base, I stamped the sentiment which is from the new set called Beautiful Heart.

Paneelin stanssasin Leaf Stitched Frames -setin isoimmalla stanssilla ja jätin stanssin paikalleen, minkä jälkeen mustetin paneelia kevyesti (stanssi jättää valkoisen reunuksen paneelin ympärille). Penny Black Dreaming: Bliss

I have a couple of cards to share using the new gorgeous floral stamp by Penny Black called Bliss. Why two? Simply because I could not decide whether to colour the image with Copics or watercolours so I did both!

For the first card, I folded the card base out of Copic friendly cardstock and stamped the image with Memento ink. I stamped the image almost in full to the lower right hand corner and then only parts of the image on the top half of the card, after which I coloured them with my Copics. The sentiment is from the new sentiment set called Huggable and I stamped it with the same Memento ink. To finish the card, I masked the images on the top half of the card and sponged some Distress Oxide inks around them.

The second card is pretty similar. I folded the card base out of watercolour cardstock and stamped Bliss only once on it before colouring it with my Lukas Aquarell 1862 watercolours. I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the same sentiment set as above, Huggable. I then sponged some Distress Oxide ink around the edges of the card before adding some gold splatters with my watercolour brush and Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

Tein pari korttia Penny Blackin uudella Bliss-leimalla, koska en osannut päättää, väritänkö sen Copiceilla vai vesiväreillä, joten tein molemmat! Ensimmäiseen korttiin leimasin leimakuvan melkein kokonaisuudessaan oikeaan alanurkkaan ja sitten vain osia siitä kortin yläreunaan ja väritin ne Copiceilla. Sitten maskasin yläreunan leimakuvat ja mustetin yläreunan Distress Oxide -musteilla, minkä jälkeen leimasin tekstileiman, joka on uudesta Huggable-tekstileimasetistä. Toiseen korttiin leimasin leimakuvan vain kerran ja väritin vesiväreillä. Tekstileiman kokosin niin ikään Huggable-setin leimoista. Tämänkin kortin reunat mustetin Distress Oxide -musteella ja roiskin vielä perään kultaroiskeita vesivärisiveltimellä ja Sheer Shimmer Spritz -suihkeella. Leimat ovat siis kaikki Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

AAA Birthday: August - Elokuu

It's August and that means a new challenge is starting at AAA Birthday! In August, we're asking you to make birthday cards for boys. To help us inspire you, we have the talented Clarissa as our Guest Designer.

I decided to go very CAS with my card, no extra frills works for boys I think. I folded my card base out of watercolour cardstock and stamped my image - Gone Fishing by Lili of the Valley - on it, after which I watercoloured the image using Lukas Aquarell 1862 watercolours. The sentiment I used says 'Congratulations' in Finnish. As my only embellishment, I decided to use simple twine and tie it into a knot.

Oman korttini halusin pitää mahdollisimman simppelinä - se tuntuu olevan turvallisinta poikakorteissa.. ;) Taittelin korttipohjan vesivärikartongista, leimasin siihen leimakuvan (Lili of the Valley'n Gone Fishing) ja väritin sen Lukas Aquarell 1862 -vesiväreillä. Lisäksi leimasin korttiin tekstin ja koristeeksi laitoin nyöriä ihan vain solmulle.

The Flower Challenge #35

It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge and in August we'd like to see you use your favourite flowers on your cards. We are sponsored by Clearly Besotted who are giving our winner an e-gift card worth 20 GBP! As our Guest Designer we have the fabulous Therese Calvird.

I have to say I love pretty much every flower there is but if I had to choose one favourite, it would be gerbera daisies. Such gorgeous, happy flowers! I don't have any gerbera daisy stamps, so I decided to use Sending Sunshine stamp by our sponsor, Clearly Besotted. I know these flowers are sunflowers but let's just pretend they are gerbera daisies now... I coloured the flowers with my Copics  (I know the centers of gerbera daisies are different, not yellow, but that went so beyond my talents I just made them yellow..) and stamped my sentiment - it's Finnish for Happy Birthday. I then matted the panel onto pink cardstock before adhering it onto my card base. No embellishments here as I thought the flowers were enough on their own.

Itse pidän aika lailla kaikista kukista, mutta jos lemppari pitää valita, niin gerbera on sellainen. Väritin kukat Copiceilla (oikeasti gerberoiden keskusta on erilainen, mutta väritin ne nyt keltaisiksi, koska taitoni eivät veny oikeiden gerberan keskustojen värittämiseen..) ja leimasin tekstileiman. Paneelin kerrostin pinkille kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Mitään koristeita en korttiin laittanut, kukat riittävät.

Chrysanthemum - Krysanteemi

I love the Garden Girl stamps by Stamping Bella and this sweetie, Chrysanthemum, is no exception! I coloured her with my Copics and die cut her out. For the background, I cut a panel that is slightly smaller than the card base and did a bit of masking and ink blending with Distress Oxide ink. I then die cut a window to the panel (the window goes outside the panel so it's not a full circle) with Stitched Circles die by Penny Black. Before adhering everything to place (I adhered the stamped image with foam adhesives) and embellishing the card with clear sequins, I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday').

Taustalle leikkasin korttipohjaa pienemmän paneelin, johon maskasin ja mustetin raidan. Ikkunan stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Circles -stanssilla, ikkuna ulottuu hieman paneelin yli eli ei ole täysi ympyrä. Sitten vain tekstileima, kaikki kiinni paikalleen (leimakuva kohotarroilla) ja muutama paljetti koristeeksi.
