Osaako kukaan neuvoa, miten kuva tuodaan Flickr:stä Bloggeriin?)
I'm in the middle of a move: I'm moving my crafty room from one room to another (well, I guess 'room' is saying too much, it's just a walk-in-closet really...) and I have my crafty stuff all over the place. Today I had to make myself a tiny crafty oasis on our dining room table as I wanted to make a card for the current CASE Study challenge. I made my card using WPlus9 stamps ('Fresh Cut Florals'), some Hero Arts Shadow Inks (love them!), and a sentiment stamp (it says 'Congrats' in Finnish). I die cut the circle and attached the panel with foam adhesives so it is a bit raised. (The piccie looks far better on my Flickr account, so please go and check it out there. For some reason Blogger makes my pictures look so much darker...)
Haasteet/Challenges:
* CASE Study Challenge #197
* Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes
Tässä tämänkertainen inspiraatiokortti.

Hyväntekeväisyyteen - For charity
Bongasin taannoin Paperilla-lehdessä ilmoituksen korttitalkoista, jolla kerätään varoja uudelle lastensairaalalle ja ajattelin tehdä muutaman (joulu)kortin tähän erityisen hyvään tarkoitukseen. Tässä korteista ensimmäinen (teen luultavasti muutamaa mallia useamman kortin/malli), johon käytin WPlus9:n Woodland Wreaths -setin leimoja ja stansseja, Hero Artsin Shadow Inkejä, Stempelkellerin tekstileimaa ja Authentiquen papereita. Kranssi on kohotarroilla kiinnitetty. Jätin kortin melko yksinkertaiseksi ilman paljoja koristeita, josko se näin menisi useamman makuun ja kortti tulisi varmemmin myydyksi (toivottavasti ainakin! ;) ).
There is a kind of a card drive going on for a new national children's hospital. The cards made for it will be sold and the proceedings will all go to fund the building of the hospital in the (hopefully near) future. I thought I'd make a few Christmas cards for the card drive (the cards will be sold at a fair in November so Christmas cards will probably sell well) and this is my first one. I'll probably come up with a few designs and then just make several cards of each design, that'll help me mass produce ;) For this card, I used some of my new stamps and dies, these are from the 'Woodland Wreaths' set by WPlus9 (love them!). The inks I used are Hero Arts Shadow Inks, the papers are by Authentique and the sentiment says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish. I attached the wreath with foam adhesives for a little added interest but left the card otherwise quite simple and without much bling or fuss - hopefully it'll appeal to many and the card will be sold! ;)
Haaste/Challenge:
* Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes

Huippua päivää! - Have a Great Day!
Tekstileima on niinikään Clearly Besottedin mutta Good Times -setistä. Lisänä hieman kuviopaperia ja paljetteja.
Our goddaughter is spending a year abroad as an exchange student (she's all the way in New Zealand having a great time) and we thought we'd send her some happy mail. In the envelope, we'll pack a little chocolate (there's nothing better than Finnish chocolate, you can take my word for it!) along with a necklace made by our 4-year-old son and this card, among other things. The lovely flower is a stamp from the 'Fresh Flowers' set by Clearly Besotted and I coloured it with Twinkling H2O's. The sentiment comes from 'Good Times' set by Clearly Besotted. There's also some patterned paper (Echo Park) and some sequins.
Haasteet/Challenges:
* Clearly Besotted Challenge: Challenge #12 - Anything Goes
* Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Anything Goes
* Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: You Gotta Have Friends

:) ). Stanssasin ja leimasin tähän pyörän koreineen Good Times -setistä, taustalle laitoin neliön Building Blocks -setistä. Kukat ovat Papertrey Inkin Beautiful Blooms II -setistä ja tekstileima on FinnStamperin. Musteet on Heron.
I received my very first order from Clearly Besotted yesterday and I could hardly wait until today to make a card with my new goodies :) (as a side note I have to say that I don't think I've ever received an order that was packed as prettily as this one was :) Love!). So, I die cut and stamped the bike and the little basket (from 'Good Times' set) and adhered them with foam adhesives. The square on the background is from 'Building Blocks' set and the tiny flowers flowing out of the basket are stamped with a tiny Papertrey Ink stamp (from 'Beautiful Blooms II' set). The sentiment says 'For a Friend' in Finnish. All the inks are Hero Arts Shadow Inks.
Haasteet/Challenges:
* Clearly Besotted Challenge #12 - Anything Goes
* Time Out Challenges: Challenge #7 - Summer with the optional twist of flowers

Thanks for your visit and for any comment you may wish to leave me. Hope your day is fab and you're enjoying lovely weather (we've had everything from hails to sunshine today - a bit odd weather for June...)!

Case Study #195
Nyt tulee lyhyen ajan sisään tehtyä haasterintamalla monta ekaa kertaa, sillä nyt osallistun ensimmäistä kertaa CASE Study -haasteeseen. Inspiraatiokortista nappasin omaksi innoituksekseni kraftin värisen korttipohjan, asettelun ja valkoisen leimauksessa. Omassa kortissani tuon valkoisen tein tosin eri tavalla, leimasin ensin valkoisella VersaMagic-musteella ja heti perään Hero Artsin Shadow Inkillä hieman "ohi" niin, että valkoista jäi näkyviin (tälle tekniikalle on varmasti nimi, mutta en tiedä, mikä se on). Paneelit kohotin korttipohjasta tarrapaloilla. Leimat ovat PTI:n (Beautiful Blooms II ja Blooming Button Bits) ja FinnStamperin.
It seems that I'm challenging myself quite a bit these days and doing many things for the first time - this time I'm taking part in the CASE Study Challenge for the very first time :) What I was inspired about in the sample card was the kraft coloured card base, the general layout of the card and white used in the colouring. I managed to bring the white into my card by first stamping in white VersaMagic ink and then with coloured ink (Hero Arts Shadow Inks) on top of the white - there's probably a name for this technique but I've no idea what it is! I raised the panels from the card base with foam adhesives and stamped the sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) on the card base itself. The stamps I used are by Papertrey Ink (from the sets 'Beautiful Blooms II' and 'Blooming Button Bits').
Haaste/Challenge:
* CASE Study Challenge #195

Onnea tulevaan - All the best
Lisänä molemmissa korteissa on pieniä timantteja.
I was asked to make a card for someone changing jobs and I made two versions of the same card. The stamp I used was 'Leafy Vines' by Hero Arts and I heat embossed it, on the first card with white embossing powder and on the second card with glittery black. The backgrounds are made with Dylusions spray inks. The sentiment on both says something like 'All the best for the future' and it's stamped on a strip of vellum. There are also some tiny rhinestones as finishing touches.
Kyllä se kimaltaa :)
See, it glitters :) and I like it! :D
Sellaista tällä kertaa. Kiitos, kun käväisit ja kiitos, jos kommentoit. Hauskaa ja rentouttavaa viikonloppua! :)

Haasteita - Challenges
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not really good at sketch challenges. And what am I doing now? Well, taking part in a sketch challenge, naturally... Ha ha! :D This is my first time taking part in CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge (at least I think so..) and as soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of the Brush Strokes stamp set by Hero Arts. I think the brush strokes suited the sketch perfectly so I used one of them and some Hero Arts Shadow Inks to stamp the 'blocks' on textured white cardstock. Then I die cut the sentiment (it says 'Congrats!' in Finnish) with Memory Box alphabet dies and attached some black cardstock behind it. As finishing touches, there are some sequins. And as the sequins shine, I'll link this card to the current CASology challenge with the theme 'Shine'.
Haasteet/Challenges:
* CAS(E) this Sketch! #79
* CASology: Week 98 - Shine
Tässä vielä CAS(E) this Sketch!:n luonnos.

Kesäkukkia ja kysymys - Summer flowers and a question
Ehdin tänään hetken askarrella ja tein kortin Time Out Challengesin haasteeseen #7, jossa aiheena on kesä ja vapaaehtoinen lisä on kukat. Kukat on leimattu Papertrey Inkin Beautiful Blooms II -setin kukilla ja lehdet ovat niinikään PTI:n, Turning a New Leaf -setistä.
I had a little time to craft today and I made this card for Time Out Challenges' challenge #7, the theme is 'Summer' with the optional twist of flowers. The sentiment on this card says something like 'Smile is the shortest distance between two people' and that is what I associate with summer: smiles :) I stamped the flowers with Papertrey Ink stamps ('Beautiful Blooms II'), the leaves are also PTI stamps ('Turning a New Leaf'). The inks I used are Hero Arts Shadow Inks and the cardstock is again textured cardstock by Papermania. The front panel is raised with foam adhesives.
Haasteet/Challenges:
* Time Out Challenges: Challenge #7 - Summer with the optional twist of flowers
* STAMPlorations June Challenge: Stamps & Borders (Thanks for the hint, Nonni! :) )
Neuvoja? Apua?
I have a little question, I wonder if you can help me. I have this problem with Blogger turning my pictures greyish and dark. This picture looked good in the picture file of my computer (the white was white and the piccie had 'light') but as soon as I uploaded it to my blog, it looked awful, so grey and dull and as if it had been taken during the night in the dark. This happens every time, regardless of the colour of the background in the piccie (I've tried white, different pastel colours, etc.) and it annoys the heck out of me! Anyone know why this is? What can I do? Thanks for your help!
Mukavaa viikonloppua! :)
