Penny Black Love and Happiness: My Love

I made a Valentine's card with a new stamp from the latest Penny Black release called Love and Happiness. This adorable bunny image is from the set My Love.

I stamped it onto a panel of Copic friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics before stamping the sentiment from the sentiment set Dream.Love. I placed some patterned paper from the paper pad Gentle Whisper and a little bit of kraft cardstock along the edge of the card. Lastly, I embellished the card with a single heart die cut with a die from the die set ...Is Coming!

Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja leimasin paneeliin tekstileima setistä Dream.Love. Kortin reunaan laitoin kuviopaperia paperikosta Gentle Whisper ja hieman kraft-kartonkia. Koristelin kortin lopuksi yhdellä sydämellä, jonka stanssasin ...Is Coming! -stanssisetin stanssilla. Penny Black Love and Happiness: Rain or Shine

I'm not sure if there's anything cuter than this bear-y cute couple! This is such an adorable image, it's a new stamp called Rain or Shine from the latest Penny Black release called Love and Happiness.

I stamped the image on a panel die cut with a die from the Stitches of Love die set, coloured the image with my watercolours and did the background very loosely with Distress refillers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. I then stamped the sentiment from the same Rain or Shine stamp set underneath the bears and added falling hearts to the image that I die cut with Hearts Galore die. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto red card base.

Tämä suloinen pariskunta on uusi Penny Black -leima nimeltään Rain or Shine uudesta Love and Happiness -kokoelmasta.

Leimasin leimakuvan paneeliin, jonka olin stanssannut Stitches of Love -setin stanssilla. Väritin kuvan vesiväreillä, lisäsin valkoista geelikynää ja tein taustan Distress refillereillä. Tekstileima on samasta Rain or Shine -setistä. Stanssasin pienet sydämet Hearts Galore -stanssilla ja kiinnitin sateeksi paneeliin, minkä jälkeen kiinnitin paneelin punaiseen korttipohjaan. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Love and Happiness: Fresh Flowers

I had a bit of time to craft today and made a card with new stamps from the latest Penny Black release called Love and Happiness. This stamp is called Fresh Flowers.

I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out. For the background, I die cut the frame from patterned paper from the paper pad Painted Blooms using a die from the die set Wildwood. The sentiment is from the stamp set Love & Happiness, I heat embossed it in white onto a strip of green cardstock. I then cut a panel from white cardstock and placed some patterned paper behind it from the paper pad Beau Jardins. After adhering everything in place (I adhered the bouquet with some foam adhesives), I embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

PBSC: January - Tammikuu

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme for January is Anything Goes/Something New. 

My DT card is at the same time a birthday card for my son who has his birthday in January. I used the cutest little penguin for it, this stamp is called Waddling By. I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I used a bit of patterned paper in the background and a frame die cut with Stitched Nested Frames dies. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congrats') to a strip of cardstock die cut with Pocket & Banners die and added a few elements to it die cut with dies from the sets Gift Card Pocket and Just a Note. I also added a number and some enamel dots to embellish the card.

Oma korttini on samalla synttärikortti pojalleni, joka täyttää vuosia tammikuussa. Käytin tähän Penny Blackin ihanaa pingviiniä setistä Waddling By, väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia ja kehykset, jotka stanssasin Stitched Nested Frames -stansseilla. Tekstin leimasin bannerille, jonka stanssasin Pocket & Banners -setin stanssilla ja lisäsin siihen vielä elementtejä, jotka stanssasin stansseilla seteistä Gift Card Pocket ja Just a Note. The Flower Challenge: January - Tammikuu

I'm sharing my reminder card for The Flower Challenge where the theme for January is Embossing Heat/Dry. As our Guest Designer, we have the fabulous Jyoti.

I used a couple of stamps that I haven't used in a while for my card. The floral stamp is Spring Bouquet by Studio Katia, I coloured it with my Copics and used the matching die to die cut it. For the background, I stamped cardstock with Simon Says Stamp's Wide Stripes Background stamp and then die cut it with an MFT die. I also used MFT die to die cut the circle frame behind the floral cluster. I used heat embossing for the sentiment which says 'On your birthday'. I embellished the card with some white paint splatters and some clear sequins.

Nasturtium - Krassi

Here's another card I made using a stamp that I haven't used in a while - Hero Arts' Nasturtium. Such a pretty floral stamp! I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it using the matching die. For the background, I added a panel die cut with Penny Black's Diamond Cut die and a bit of patterned paper. The sentiment says 'Congrats'. I embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

Taas kortti vähemmän käytetyllä leimalla, tämä on Hero Artsin Nasturtium. Väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin. Taustalle stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Diamond Cut -stanssilla ja lisäsin kuviopaperia. Lopuksi vain tekstileima (Heidin Korttipajan) ja muutama puolihelmi koristeeksi.

Cosmos flowers - Kosmoskukka

I wanted to make a floral card and use stamps I've not used in a while, so I chose these Cosmos stamps by Honey Bee Stamps. I coloured them with my Copics and die cut them with the matching dies. I wanted the flowers to be the centre of the attention so I left the background very simple. I chose linen textured card base and die cut the frame with Penny Black's  Ribbon Stackers dies and adhered the frame straight onto the card base. I actually die cut the frame 3 times and stacked all the frames on top of each other so that they're a little raised from the card base. I stamped the sentiment ('Huge Congrats' in Finnish), adhered the flowers and embellished the card with some golden sequins.

Tein kukkakortin leimoilla, joita en ole hetkeen käyttänyt. Nämä ovat Honey Bee Stampsin Cosmos-leimat. Väritin leimakuvat Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Halusin pitää taustan simppelinä, joten stanssasin kehyksen muutamaan kertaan Penny Blackin Ribbon Stackers -stansseilla, liimasin ne päällekkäin ja kiinnitin suoraan teksturoituun korttipohjaan. Sitten vain kukat kiinni, tekstileima ja kortin koristelu paljeteilla.

The Flower Challenge: January - Tammikuu

The very first challenge of 2021 is now live at The Flower Challenge! It's nice and easy one with the theme of Embossing Heat/Dry. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Jyoti.

But before I get to my current DT card, I'm sharing my four favourite cards of all the cards I made for The Flower Challenge in 2020. They're all on the clean and simple side of cardmaking but with a bit more variation in colour choices than previous year (see them here). 

Now onto my current DT card - and my trusty pink! I decided to use heat embossing on these stamps by Altenew from the set Focus On You. After heat embossing them, I coloured them with my watercolours and die cut them with the matching dies. I die cut the circle panel with an MFT die and stamped my sentiment on it (it translates as 'Congratulations'). I added a bit of patterned paper in the background and embellished the card with some sequins and a little bow.

Yllä on myös omasta mielestäni neljä parasta korttia, jotka olen vuoden 2020 aikana The Flower Challengeen tehnyt. Kaikki ovat melkoisen CAS-tyylisiä mutta ainakin väreissä on enemmän variaatiota kuin edellisenä vuonna (näet ne täällä).

Tammikuun DT-korttiin käytin Altenew'n Focus on You -leimoja, jotka embossasin ja väritin vesiväreillä. Taustalle stanssasin pyöreän paneelin MFT:n stanssilla ja leimasin siihen Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia ja kortin koristelu paljeteilla ja pienellä rusetilla.

AAA Birthday: January - Tammikuu

It's time for the first challenge of 2021 at AAA Birthday and as our theme we have A Stencil Background. As our Guest Designer this month, we have Melanie. We also have new DT members and this is their first challenge with us so please make sure you check out AAA Birthday to see them in action too!

In my DT card, I used some of my new stamps. These are from the set Birthday Wishing by Colorado Craft Company. I coloured them with my Zig markers and die cut them with the matching dies. I die cut the panel with an MFT die and used a stencil by Create a Smile to ink the splash of colour (I used Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Broken China). I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On your birthday') on a strip of grey cardstock and also added the same grey cardstock behind the panel, and a bit of patterned paper to cover the cardbase. I embellished the card with some black enamel dots.

AAA Birthdayssä alkaa vuoden 2021 ensimmäinen haaste ja teemana on A Stencil Background. Guest Designerina meillä on Melanie. Tiimiimme on liittynyt myös uusia jäseniä, joten blogista löytyy myös heidän ensimmäiset DT-korttinsa.

Omaan korttiini käytin Colorado Craft Companyn Birthday Wishing -leimoja ja stansseja. Leimakuvat väritin Zigeillä ja taustalle mustetin maaliroiskeen Create a Smilen sapluunalla, koko paneelin stanssasin sitten MFT:n stanssilla. Tekstileiman embossasin. Paneelin taustalle laitoin ensin tummanharmaata kartonkia ja sitten hieman kuviopaperia. Kortin koristelin mustilla enamel dotseilla.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Winter Warm Up

It's time for the very first challenge of 2021 at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! As always, the theme is Anything Goes but if you want to, you can follow the optional theme and this time it is Something New.

For my DT card, I used stamps from the Penny Black winter release called Winter Wishes and I've not used these particular stamps before so there my 'something new'. I started off by stamping the cute snowmen from the set Cozy Winter and colouring them with my Zig markers. I then stamped the sentiment from the set Winter Warm Up - I think that sentiment is just perfect! Describes how I start feeling about winter every year right after Christmas, ha ha! I created a frame for my card by die cutting light blue cardstock with a die from the Graceful Stackers set, I added some craft foam behind it before adhering it to my cardbase so the frame is a bit raised from the cardbase. Lastly, I die cut the snowflake with Polar Pair die and embellished it and the card with some gems.

Kehyksen stanssasin Graceful Stackers -setin stanssilla ja laitoin kehyksen taakse fun foamia, joten kehys on hieman koholla korttipohjasta. Stanssasin korttiin lumihiutaleen Polar Pair -stanssisetin stanssilla ja koristelin sen ja kortin timanteilla. Florals for New Year - Kukkia uudeksi vuodeksi

Happy New Year! I spent the first day of 2021 crafting a bit and made this card. I haven't used the Sweetest Peas stamps by Altenew in a long time so I decided to make a floral card with them. I coloured them with my Copics and used the matching dies to die cut them. I die cut the frame using Penny Black's Swirly Stitches dies and placed some patterned paper behind it. I stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'Congratulating You') and embellished the card with some golden sequins.
