Poppies for Birthday

Poppies are one of my favourite flowers and this stamp by Gina K Designs, Poppy Garden, is my most recent poppy stamp purchase. I love how elegant it is! I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut the panel with Spellbinders die Essential Arches. The dark green panel in the background is embossed with a Penny Black embossing folder Texture, I adhered the floral panel with foam adhesives on it. I then die cut the sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish) and coloured it with my Copics before adding Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen on it and adhering it to the panel. Lastly, I embellished the card with some black gems.

Floral Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I made with a lovely floral stamp from Pinkfresh Studio called Beyond Measure. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with the matching die. I then die cut an opening to the white panel with a die from the Spellbinders die set Essential Arches and before adhering the panel with some foam adhesives onto a piece of patterned paper adhered to the card base, I stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'Congrats'). I adhered the florals in place with foam adhesives as well before embellishing the card with some gold half pearls.

Spring Bouquet

I had so much fun colouring these gorgeous florals from the Spring Bouquets stamp set by Gina K Designs. Such a beautiful stamp! I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with the matching die and adding some white gel pen to the centres of the blue flowers. I then die cut the panels in the background with Pinkfresh Studio die Diagonal Stitched Rectangles and adhered the top panel with foam adhesives. I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On Your Special Day') on a strip of black cardstock, adhered the stamped image and the sentiment strip in place and embellished the card with some sequins and half pearls.

Morning Glory

I made a card for my dear crafty friend with my new Hero Arts goodies and now that I know she has received it, I can share the card. I die cut the Trellis Window die and the Morning Glory die and coloured them with my Copics adding some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to the flowers (the shimmer didn't photograph at all but it's pretty in real life). For the background, I masked a rectangle and ink blended some Distress Oxide inks to the rectangle before stamping the background with a Penny Black stamp Letter Background with the same Distress Oxide inks that I used for ink blending. I then adhered all the elements in place, heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'Hugs' in Finnish) on a strip of dark brown cardstock and adhered it in place before embellishing the card with some clear gems.

Mini Slimline Card

I made a mini slimline card, it's kind of fun to work with the smaller scale. I used Small Mini Slimline Stackables dies by Lawn Fawn for the different layers of this card, die cutting patterned paper and white cardstock with them and adhering them to my mini slimline cardbase. The pretty flower is a stamp from the Rainbow Floral stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio, I coloured it with my Copics and die cut with the matching die. The sentiment translates as 'Congratulating You on Your Birthday'. I embellished the card with some sequins and half pearls.

Poppies

I made this birthday card with an oldie but a goodie stamp from my stash, namely Delicate Blossoms by Hero Arts. I love poppies and this stamp is simply beautiful! I coloured the image with my Copics and added tiny details with my white gel pen. I then die cut the side border with a die from the Penny Black set Border Collection before embossing a piece of pink cardstock with a 3-D embossing folder Flowing Waves by Sizzix. I adhered the embossed piece of cardstock on my cardbase before adhering the panel onto it with foam adhesives. I heat embossed the sentiment (it translates as 'On Your Birthday') on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place before embellishing the card with some black gems.

Morning Glories

My mother-in-law turned 80 and we gave her this card. I haven't used Morning Glory Border stamp by The Ton for ages and decided to use it. I coloured the image with my Copics and matted the panel onto a piece of dark purple cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold (it translates as 'Warmest Congratulations') and added gold glitter numbers that I die cut with Memory Box dies. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gold gems.

Balloons

Here's a card I made using a Stamping Bella stamp called Tiny Townie Blossom Loves Balloons.  I paper pieced her dress, otherwise I coloured the image with my Copics. I also added Stickles glitter glue to the frills on her dress. I die cut the panel with an MFT die leaving half of the balloons out of the panel. After stamping the sentiment, I added a piece of patterned paper on my card base and adhered the panel onto it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished the card with some pink gems.

Flowers

I purchased this stamp by Penny Black called Sweetly last autumn but haven't had a chance to ink it up until now. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting the panel with Sizzix Framelits die Tags, Rounded and lightly inking the edges with Distress Oxide ink in Old Paper. I dry embossed a piece of cardstock for the background with Texture embossing folder by Penny Black and adhered the panel on it with foam adhesives. I think this little girl is so adorable, she looks like she has places to go and roses to deliver! She is Bundle Girl With A Rose by Stamping Bella, I coloured her with my Copics before cutting her with the matching die. In the background, there's some patterned paper, a frame die cut with Classy Frames by Penny Black and a sentiment (Finnish for 'Happy Birthday'). Also some gems as embellishments.

Hello

I went with sunny colours for this card - hoping it'll lure spring a little closer! The sweet stamp I used is from the Daisy Floral Set by Stamping Bella, I coloured the image with my Copics before cutting it with the matching die. I then die cut the white panel with Lawn Fawn's Lacy Rectangle Stackables die and added a panel of patterned paper (also by Lawn Fawn) behind it. I adhered the white panel with some foam adhesives for a bit of dimension. The die cut sentiment is Finnish for 'Hello', I added a generous amount of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen on it for some lovely shimmer as well as on the little fairy's wings. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Flowers for a Friend

I have a friendship card to share. I made this one with It's a New Day Floral stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. I coloured the stamped images with my Copics before die cutting them with the matching dies. For the background I used a panel die cut with Lacy Rectangle Stackables die by Lawn Fawn that I attached with foam adhesives to the card base. The sentiment on the panel is Finnish for 'For My Friend'. As embellishments, I used beautiful iridescent gems.

Anemones

I love these beautifully swaying anemones with their big, heavy flower heads! I made these with a Spellbinder die set called Fresh Picked Anemones, it was so much fun putting them together. The panel in the background is die cut with a Lawn Fawn die Lacy Rectangle Stackables and the patterned paper is by Lawn Fawn as well. The die cut word (which has loads of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen on it but unfortunately it doesn't show on the photo) is Finnish for 'Hello'. As embellishments, there are some enamel dots.

Happy Hearts Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sharing a little tag I made for my boys for this year's Valentine's Day, they both received a tag like this with their sweet treats. I cut the tag shape out of patterned paper with a die from the set Tags a Lot by Mama Elephant. The rest of the products are by Penny Black. The cute kitty is from the stamp set Cuteness, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The speech bubble is die cut with Chat Bubbles die and the little hearts on them are the negatives from the die Line of Hearts. The bow is die cut with the Jumbo Bauble die and embellished with a little enamel dot heart.

Thanks for Being There

I have a floral friendship card to share. It's soon Valentine's Day which is celebrated in Finland as a day for friends and friendships and not for love and lovers, hence a friendship card.

I used one of my new Pinkfresh Studio stamps for this one, it's called Thanks for Being There. I coloured the image with my Copics and added some details with a white gel pen before die cutting it with the matching die. I also used a die by Penny Black called Dignified and cut the beautiful foliage out of vellum to place behind the floral cluster. The panel is die cut with Lacy Rectangle Stackables die by Lawn Fawn and I stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'For My Friend') before adhering the floral cluster on it. For the background, I used Letter Background stamp by Penny Black stamped tone on tone on a piece of purple cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Nasturtium

I have a floral birthday card to share today. I used Hero Arts' Nasturtium stamp which is one of my favourite Hero Arts' stamps. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting the bottom edge with a WPlus9 die from the set Landscape Borders Die. I added a piece of patterned paper on my card base and adhered the panel to the card base with foam adhesives. I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On Your Birthday') on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place before embellishing the card with some black gems.

Bouquet

Here's a very clean and simple card - so simple, in fact, that there's even no sentiment! Sometimes you just need a card without any sentiment, right? The stamp I used is a collaboration between Memory Box and Simon Says Stamp called Fresh Cut Bouquet, I coloured the image with my Copics. I then masked the edges of the panel and very lightly ink blended the background with Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gems.

Daisies

I made this birthday card using the ever so pretty Fresh Picked Daisies die by Spellbinders. I love those little happy looking daisies! Here I placed them in a watering can cut with Watering Can die by Penny Black. The background panels are die cut with My Favorite Things dies, I ink blended some Distress Oxide inks on the first panel. The die cut sentiment says 'Congratulations', I added many layers of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen on the die cut sentiment and it has such pretty shimmer in real life.

60

A colleague of mine turned 60 earlier in January and we gave him a little present with a card that I made. I actually made two cards so my colleagues were able to choose which one we should give. My colleague is into cars so I tried to feature that in my cards, both of which turned out pretty clean and simple.

The first card features a stamp by Lili of the Valley, this is called Toot Toot. I coloured the image with my Copics before masking the edges of the panel and ink blending some Distress Oxide inks onto it. I cut the numbers with Number It die by Mama Elephant and adhered them in place before matting the panel onto a piece of teal cardstock and adhering it to my cardbase.

The second card uses dies by Sizzix/Tim Holtz, namely Vault Christmas Magic dies (I love versatile crafty products!). I cut the elements with the dies, added some vellum behind the windows on the buildings and the cars and adhered the elements in their places (the buildings are adhered with foam adhesives). I added the die cut numbers on the pickup. For the background, I masked the edges of the panel again and ink blended some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Frayed Burlap onto the panel. I then stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congratulating you on your birthday'), adhered everything in place and embellished the card with some enamel dot stars.

Spring Garden

I love these blooms on this beautiful floral stamp by Alex Syberia Designs! This is a stamp called Spring Garden. I coloured the image with my Copics, very lightly ink blended the edges of the panel with Distress Oxide ink in Old Paper and added some gold splatters on it. I then die cut the frame with Hero Arts' Nesting Rectangle Infinity dies and adhered it in place before stamping my sentiment (it says 'Congratulations'). Lastly, I embellished the card with some gems.

At this point, I'm always so tired of winter and snow and cannot help but dream of green grass and flowers growing. I've even bought a packet of flower seeds that are waiting to be sown in pots in spring! Also the stamp I used on this card is so aptly named: Spring Garden.)

Beautiful Blooms

I loved colouring this image! This is a Hero Arts + Gina K. Designs stamp set called Friendship Blooms, such a beautiful stamp and so lovely to colour. I wanted the flowers to be the centre of attention so I kept the rest of the card quite simple. I die cut the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers die by Penny Black and matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock before matting them onto a piece of plum coloured cardstock and finally my cardbase. The sentiment I used says 'Congratulating You' and I used pretty gems to embellish the card.

Birthday Flowers

Here's a clean-and-simple birthday card I made using a stamp from the beautiful Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz stamp set Floral Trims. I simply stamped the image on the card panel and coloured it with my Copics before masking the edges of the panel and ink blending some Distress Oxide inks (Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness) on it. I stamped the sentiment on the panel (it says 'Happy Birthday') before embellishing the card with some pretty gems.

Red Buttercups

I made a clean and simple birthday card with gorgeous stamps from Craft Your Life Project Kit: Sweet Buttercups by Altenew. I coloured the die cut images with my Copics (knowing full well that buttercups are yellow, I just wanted to make them red this time) and heat embossed my sentiment on a strip of black cardstock (the sentiment says 'On Your Birthday'). I then die cut a rectangle with Altenew's Fine Frames Rectangles die, adhered it on a panel of white cardstock that I mounted on another piece of white cardstock with some foam adhesives. After adhering the flowers and the sentiment in place, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

All the Best

A colleague moved onto other things and I made her a card that our team gave her along with a little parting present. This beautiful flower is from the Alex Syberia Designs set Tulips Treasure. I stamped it onto a panel die cut with an MFT die and coloured it with my Copics. I then put the die back in place and inked the panel lightly with Distress Oxide ink in Old Paper. The background panel is die cut with a Penny Black die All-in-One Oval and the sentiment (translates as 'All the Best for the Future') is heat embossed onto a strip of dark grey cardstock. I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Something New

Happy New Year! This is my first card of 2025 and I wanted to try something new with it, namely the size. This is a mini slimline card, approx. 14,8 x 7,3 centimetres in size. Such a fun size to work with! I also used some new-to-me stamps on it, these beautiful florals are from Rainbow Floral stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. I coloured the images with my Copics before die cutting them. The patterned paper in the background is from a paper pad by Carta Bella, I die cut it with Lawn Fawn's Small Mini Slimline Stackables dies. The die cut sentiment is in Finnish and translates as 'Congratulations'. I die cut it three times and adhered them on top of each other for a little dimension. I also added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen on the die cut sentiment, it gives such a beautiful shimmer which unfortunately doesn't show on the photo. I embellished the card with some gold glitter gems.
