Poinsettias

Here are a couple of cards I made with the Poinsettia stamp set by Waffle Flower. I coloured the images with my Copics and both cards feature the same sentiment die (it says 'Christmas Greetings' in Finnish). I also used Essential Arches dies by Spellbinders for the first card, and Stitched Scallop Circles dies by Pinkfresh Studio for the second card.

Hello

I made this just because card with the Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set Smiling. I have a birman cat and I tried to colour this sweet kitty to look like a birman. The die cut sentiment says 'Hi' in Finnish and the background elements are die cut with Pinkfresh Studio dies Stitched Scallop Circle and Intricate Stitched Ovals. I added some gems as embellishments.

Poppy Hawthorn

Here's a birthday card I made with Poppy Hawthorn stamp by Waffle Flower. I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut it with the matching die. I used the matching die to die cut  a piece of craft foam as well, I attached the image on the die cut piece of craft foam to make it stand out a bit. I then die cut a piece of grey cardstock with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die to create a panel before splattering it with some white watercolour. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper and adhered the panel and the flower on it. I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'Today is your day' in Finnish) on a piece of black cardstock and adhered it in its place before embellishing the card with some white half pearls.

AAA Birthday: February - Helmikuu

The February challenge at AAA Birthday is now live! This month the theme is Pattern and we have not one, but two Guest Designers: Izzy and Marieke.

There's lots of pattern on my card: the lines on the flower and the leaves, the pattern on the die cut frame and the pattern of tiny flowers on the background paper. So no obvious geometric pattern but lots of pattern nonetheless. The flower is by Waffle Flower and I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it. The frame is die cut with Semi-Circle Stackers die by Penny Black and the sentiment is in Finnish, saying 'Congratulations'. I embellished the card with clear rhinestones.

Helmikuun haaste AAA Birthdayssä on alkanut ja aiheena on Pattern. Guest Designereita on tällä kertaa kaksi: Izzy ja Marieke. 

Kortissani on loppuviimein paljon kuviota: kukan terälehtien ja lehtien viivat, kehyksen kuviointi ja pienet kukat taustapaperissa. Kukka on Waffle Flowerin, väritetty Copiceilla. Kehys on stanssattu Penny Blackin Semi-Circle Stackers -stanssilla. Kun kaikki oli paikoillaan, koristelin kortin vielä kirkkailla timangeilla.

Field of flowers - Kukkaniitty

This stamped image took a couple of nights to colour but it was worth it as I enjoyed every minute of it! There's such a lot to color in this beautiful stamp. The stamp I used is Tender Blooms by Waffle Flower Crafts and I coloured the image with my Copics. The image itself is so full that I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple so I just splattered some white watercolour onto my cardbase and added a strip of brown cardstock onto which I adhered a die cut sentiment (it says 'congrats').

Tässä leimakuvassa riitti väritettävää! Tämä ihanuus on Waffle Flower Craftsin Tender Blooms, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Leima itsessään on niin runsas, että halusin pitää kortin muuten simppelin. Roiskin vain hieman valkoista vesiväriä korttipohjaan ja stanssasin tekstin, jonka kiinnitin ruskeaan kartonkisuikaleeseen. 

Spring Flower - Kevätkukkanen

I think this floral stamp by Waffle Flower Crafts is just so beautiful and I wanted to try a new-to-me Copic colour combo (RV34, RV32, R30, R01) to colour it. I really like how the colour turned out! I also used some patterned paper, a frame die (Sewing Stackers) by Penny Black and a sentiment die (it says 'Congrats') along with a couple of golden gems to make the card.

Tämä Waffle Flower Craftsin kukka on kaunis ja halusin koittaa minulle uutta Copic-väriyhdistelmää (RV34, RV32, R30, R01) sen värittämiseen ja aika lailla tykästyin lopputulokseen. Taustalle käytin kuviopaperia, kehyksen stanssasin Penny Blackin Sewing Stackers -stanssilla ja tekstin stanssasin Korttipajan stanssilla. Lisäksi muutama bling-blingi.

Floral cluster - Kukkarykelmä

 I made a birthday card with one of my newest stamps, this is Poppy Hawthorn by Waffle Flower Crafts. I coloured the image with my Copics and adhered it to a simple background of matted grey cardstocks splattered with some white watercolour. I heat embossed the sentiment ('Huge congrats') on a strip of grey cardstock, adhered it in place and embellished the card with some white sticky back pearls.

Synttärikortti Waffle Flower Craftsin leimalla Poppy Hawthorn. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja kiinnitin sen harmaalle kartongille, jonka roiskin valkoisella vesivärillä. Tekstileiman embossasin kartonkistripille ja koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

Bouquet - Kimppu

Here's a birthday card I made with the Waffle Flower stamp Bouquet Builder 3. I really love this stamp, the bouquet looks like a perfect summer bouquet! I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut the panel with an MFT die. As the stamped image is a large one, I didn't want to add much to it. I just added a sentiment strip with heat embossed sentiment ('Huge congrats'), matted the panel onto some gold cardstock before matting it to green cardbase and added some gold sequins to embellish the card.

Tein tämän synttärikortin Waffle Flowerin leimalla Bouquet Builder 3, leimakuvan väritin Copiceilla. Stanssasin paneelin MFT:n stanssilla ja kerrostin sen kultaiselle kartongille ja sitten vihreään korttipohjaan. Tekstileiman embossasin kartonkisuikaleelle ja koristelin kortin paljeteilla.

The Flower Challenge: November - Marraskuu

I'm sharing a reminder card for The Flower Challenge. Our theme for November is a nice and easy one, 'Use a Sentiment'. We have a fabulous Guest Designer too as Enna is joining us this month.

For my card, I used a gorgeous flower from Bouquet Builder 1 stamp set by Waffle Flower. I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it with its matching die. To die cut the panel, I used a die from Graceful Stackers die set by Penny Black. I sponged some Distress Oxide inks to it leaving the die in place so that the die left the white frame around the panel. I added a bit of craft foam behind the panel before adhering it to my cardbase. The sentiment is half die cut and half heat embossed and says 'Congrats on your special day'. To embellish the card, I added some enamel dots.

I made my DT card using this gorgeous stamp called Peony Dreams by Waffle Flower Crafts. I coloured the image with my Copics. For the background I used some patterned papers and as my sentiment, I used a die cut by Winnie and Walter. I die cut it a few times and glued the die cuts on top of each other to make it a bit more prominent. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

AAA Birthday: October - Lokakuu

 

 

 

It's October and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. This time we have a lovely inspiration photo for you draw inspiration from (please see above).

I was inspired by the sunflowers and the colours and I also used a circle frame to imitate the opening of the cornucopia in the photo. The stamp I used is Sunflower Love by Waffle Flower, I coloured it with my Copics. The circle frame is die cut with Stitched Circles dies by Penny Black. For the background I used a bit of patterned paper. The sentiment is a Finnish one and it says 'Congratulations'. I embellished my card with some gold sequins and splatters of white watercolour and gold shimmer mist.

It's time for September challenge at AAA Birthday! Our theme this month is 'Animals & Critters' and we have Maaike joining us as a Guest Designer.

 

I made my birthday card using this sweet little kitty from Waffle Flower, it is from the stamp set Smiling. I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut it using the matching die. For the background, I used some patterned paper matted onto dark blue cardstock and a frame die cut with an MFT die. The sentiment says 'Congrats on your birthday'.

Cat - Kissa

I love this sweet looking kitty cat by Waffle Flower! It's from the set Smiling and I coloured it with my Copics before die cuttting it with the matching die. I used some patterned papers for the background, added my sentiment (it says 'All the Best') and embellished the card with some sequins.

Flowers - Kukkia

I think this floral cluster by Waffle Flower is so beautiful on its own that it doesn't really need much else, so the birthday card I made with it is quite simple. Just the floral image coloured with Copics, a bit of patterned paper and a frame plus a sentiment (it says 'Congratulations') and some clear sequins as embellishments.

Pieniä kukkia - Tiny flowers

Joskus tuntuu, että kortit tekevät itse itsensä. Niin ainakin kävi näiden korttien kanssa :) Minua laiskotti enkä halunnut hurjan paljoa värittää, joten nappasin pienen leimakuvan, tässä tapauksessa tuon Waffle Flowerin kukkakärryn ja väritin sen Zigeillä. Taustalle laitoin palasen kartonkia, jonka mustetin Distress Oxideilla ja roiskin vähän vettä perään. Kartongille tein kehykset stanssaamalla MFT:n stanssilla valkoisesta kartongista piparkakkureunuksen. Taustalle hieman Lawn Fawnin ihanaa ruutupaperia ja siihen tekstileima. Koristeeksi muutama enamel dotsi. Ja koska ensimmäinen kortti oli niin nopea, tein toisen perään :D Toiseen korttiin käytin Paper Smoochesin kukkia mutta muuten menin samalla kaavalla.

Sometimes it feels like cards make themselves. That's what happened with these cards :) I was feeling lazy and didn't want to colour too much but still wanted to make something, so I grabbed this flower cart by Waffle Flower and coloured it with my Zig Markers. For the background, I sponged some blue Distress Oxide ink on a piece of cardstock and added a few splatters of water to it. I made a frame for it by die cutting white cardstock with an MFT die. For the background, I used some gorgeous gingham patterned paper by Lawn Fawn and stamped my sentiment ('Birthday Wishes'). As embellishments, I used some enamel dots. And as the first card was so quick to make, I made a second one while I was at it :D This time I just used the sweet flowers by Paper Smooches but otherwise kept the card similar.

Ystävälle - Dear Friend

Tämän ystävänpäiväkortin tein Nonni-ystävälle ja uskallan sen jo näyttää, kun se saapui jo tänään perille. Leimakuvana tässä on Waffle Flowerin ihana karhu pikkupyörineen setistä Happy Day. Väritys taas Zigeillä, vähän geelikynää poskissa ja Nuvo Dropsia kukkien seassa. Taustan paneelin stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja mustetin Distress Oxide -musteella, perään roiskin vähän vettä. Stanssattu teksti on Create a Smilen stanssilla stanssattu ja leimattu teksti on WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setistä. Lisäksi vielä muutama stanssattu sydän (Lawn Fawn) ja korttipohjaan kiinni.

I made this friendship card for my dear friend Nonni, I heard it arrived today so I can show it here. The stamped and die cut image is from the 'Happy Day' set by Waffle Flower (I love it how serene he looks riding his little bike! :) ), I coloured it with my Zig Markers and added a dot of gel pen to his cheeks and tiny drops of Nuvo Drops among the flowers. The pink panel is die cut with a My Favorite Things die and then inked with Distress Oxide. I splashed a few drops of water to it. I added my sentiment, the die cut word is by Create a Smile and the stamped one is from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9. I also added some die cut hearts (Lawn Fawn) to the card.
