I was asked to make a confirmation card for a girl and this is what I made. Eventhough the card is for a religious occasion, I chose to omit any kind of religious symbolism and simply made a card with a flower motif. I die cut the cardbase with a 'Curved Rectangles' die by Spellbinders from Papermania cardstock and the straight rectangle with a My Favorite Things die. I stamped and die cut the poppies with Penny Black stamp and die and coloured them with Distress Stains. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the flower heads. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'On your confirmation day' in Finnish) on a strip of vellum and added some sticky back pearls and a piece of ribbon as finishing touches. While I was colouring the poppies, the paper started to go a bit wonky because of the amount of Distress Stains I was adding but instead of trying to flatten it, I let it do so and just used some foam adhesives to adhere them to the card (I used some multi medium to adhere the rest of the flowers so the stems lie flat).
Hieman lähikuvaa, josta toivottavasti näkyy, miten unikon kukat ovat kaarevasti koholla.
Here's a close up so you can see how the flowerheads are raised.
Kimaltaa, kimaltaa :)
See the lovely shimmer from the Wink of Stella brush pen?

I adore the gorgeous color combo! Your choice of dies for the card shape is perfect! The craftsmanship is simply superb! So glad that you join the fun over Virginia's View Challenge!
VAU! Aivan ihana! Upeat voimakkaat värit ja kauniit unikot.
Beautiful card, very elegant.
