Kukkaa ja paljettia - Flowers and sequins

Taas "vaihteeksi" kukkakorttia ja Hero Artsia... ;) Väritin Sweet Petals -leimakuvan A Blog Named Heron tutoriaalin mukaan ja kiinnitin taustaan tarrapaloilla. Lehdet leimasin ja stanssasin Papertrey Inkin välineillä, taustan leimasin HA:n Looped Flower Pattern -leimalla ja väritin ProMarkerilla. Lisäksi muutama paljetti ja kulmien pyöristys. Siinäpä se.

Another day, another Hero Arts flower card... ;) I coloured the 'Sweet Petals' by Hero Arts with the help of A Blog Named Hero tutorial and attached with foam adhesives. I used Papertrey Ink stamp and die to make the leaves and Hero Arts 'Looped Flower Pattern' stamp to make the background, which I partly coloured with a ProMarker. I rounded the corners of the card and added some sequins to finish it off.

All Is Well

Taas aukeama art journalistani. Ja taas kerran siihen tuli kerroksia kaikesta mahdollisesta, maalista Distress Stainiin, washiteipistä sabluunaan ja lyijykynään. Kaiken kruunaa lehdestä leikattu lause 'All Is Well'. Näin kai se on :)

Here's another spread from my art journal and once again there's a bit of everything there, acrylic paints, Distress Stains, washi tape, stencil, pencil and so on. And to top it off, a sentence from a mag, 'All Is Well'. I guess that's true, all is well :)

Ihanaa päivää sinulle - Have a lovely day

Tein tämän kortin Hero Artsin huhtikuun luonnoshaasteen perusteella mutta kuinka ollakaan myöhästyin deadlinesta. Höh! No, laitan kortin kuitenkin näytille (luonnos löytyy muuten linkin takaa). Stanssasin korttiin pienen aukon ja kiinnitin tuon kukkaneliön kortin sisäosaan tarrapaloilla niin, että kukkaneliö tulee hieman kortista "ulos". Leikkasin korttia sitten oikeasta reunasta hieman pienemmäksi, jotta se silti mahtuu kuoreen. Leimakuva on Hero Artsin Peeking Posies -setistä (blogiin asti ei ole tainnut vielä yhtäkään tämän setin leimoilla tehtyä korttia päätyä vaikka se onkin minulla jo jonkin aikaa ollut ja olen sillä korttejakin tehnyt, hassua), väritin sen Prismacoloreilla. Paperit ovat My Mind's Eyen, tekstileima FinnStamperin (oikeasti tuohon tekstileimaan kuuluu kehykset mutta olen ne julmasti leikannut pois ;D ) ja lisänä muutama Enamel Accentsilla tehty piste.

I  made this card based on the sketch provided in the Hero Arts April 2013 Challenge but did I miss the deadline for submission? Well, yes I did, dang it! I'll show the card anyway (if you want to see the sketch, just click the link). I die cut a little square opening to the card base and attached my stamped image on the inside of the card with foam adhesive so that it comes "out" of the card a little bit (I cut the card base a little smaller so that it'll still fit into an envelope). The stamped image is a flower from the Hero Arts' set 'Peeking Posies' and I coloured it with Prismacolour pencils. The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye, the sentiment says 'Have a lovely day' in Finnish and as embellies of sorts there are a few dots made with white Enamel Accents.

She started to live in colour

En ole aikaisemmin koskaan osallistunut Simon Says Stamp and Show -haasteeseen mutta nyt satuin huomaamaan tämänviikkoisen haasteen, joka oli 'colour' ja sen verran värit kutkuttivat, että päätin osallistua. Tein haasteeseen tämän art journal -sivun, johon meni taas vähän kaikkea: gessoa, akryylimaaleja, spray inkejä, vanhan kirjan sivuja, washiteippiä, leimoja (Zettiology, The Artistic Stamper, Prima Marketing), Inktense-kyniä jne. Varsinainen sekasoppa siis mutta ainakin väriä löytyy! :)

This is my first time taking part in Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. I happened to spot this week's challenge theme and was inspired by it so I made this art journal page. Once again, there's a bit of everything on this page: some gesso, acrylic paints, spray inks, some modeling paste, pages from an old book, some washi tapes, rubber stamps (by Zettiology, The Artistic Stamper, Prima Marketing), some Derwent Inktense pencil etc. You name it, it's there, basically, but at least the page has colours! ;)

Unikkoja - Poppies

Minulta pyydettiin syntymäpäiväkorttia 90 vuotta täyttävälle rouvalle ja ajattelin pitkästä aikaa tehdä trishutter-kortin. Käytin tähän Hero Artsin ihanaa unikko-leimaa (Delicate Blossoms), jonka leimasin tuohon etupaneeliin kokonaan ja sitten tuonne sisälle vain leimasimen isoimman unikon. Väritykset tein Distress Markereilla. Paperit on Graphic45:a, tekstileima Stempelkellerin. Lisukkeina hieman korupiikkiä, haaraniittiä, ääriviivatarroja ja helmiä.

I was asked to make a birthday card for a lady turning 90 years old this spring. I thought I should make something a bit special and chose to make a trishutter card. I used Hero Arts poppy stamp ('Delicate Blossoms') and stamped it for the front panel as a whole and then stamped just the biggest poppy of the stamp for the middle part of the card and coloured them both with Distress Markers. The papers I used are by Graphic45 and the sentiment is basically a birthday poem in Finnish. As embellies there are a decorative pin I made, an epoxy brad, stickers and some pearls.

Valkoinen kukka - White flower

Tämä Hero Artsin Large Flower taitaa olla tällä hetkellä käytetyin kukkaleimasimeni, sen verran monta korttia sillä on tullut tehtyä. Tähän korttiin embossasin sen kahteen kertaan vellumille valkoisella jauheella, leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin korttiin (siis kaksi kukkaa päällekkäin), keskustaksi laitoin timantteja. Kortin taustan kohokuvioin kohokuviointitaskulla ja kiinnitin ihan tarkoituksella väärinpäin, mielestäni se näytti kivalta noin. Sitten vain hieman punaista kartonkia kehystämään.

I think this 'Large Flower' stamp by Hero Arts is my most used flower stamp at the moment, I just love it. For this card I heat embossed it twice on white vellum, fussy cut the flowers out and attached to the card (two flowers on top of each other that is). As flower center I added some rhinestones. I dry embossed the white cardstock with embossing folder and deliberately attached it the 'wrong' way around on the card (I think it looks rather nice that way). Then I just added some red cardstock to frame the dry embossed cardstock.

Do not beige

Taas art journalia ja taas keltaista - kun sitä jumittuu johonkin, niin sitä sitten jumittuu! :D Tähän meni akryylimaaleja, musteita, leimoja, washiteippiä ja outoa kieltä (olen hyvinkin varma, että sanaa beige voi  käyttää myös verbinä...), joka kylläkin minulle sanoo paljon.

Another art journal page and yet again some yellow - I think I'm well and truly stuck! :D This page ate some acrylic paints, some inks, stamps, some washi tape and odd wording (I'm pretty confident you can use the word 'beige' as a verb... ha ha!). Odd wording or not, it speaks to me. It really does.
