Penny Black Daydream: For You

Once again I've made a birthday card (you can never have too many of those!) and this time with new stamps and dies from the new release by Penny Black called Daydream.

The stamp I used is called ...For You and I think the mice are the cutest ones around! I coloured the image with my Zig markers and fussy cut it. I then die cut the frame using the new Sewing Stackers dies, adhered a piece of vellum behind it and heat embossed a sentiment from the set Carefree Wishes on the vellum. I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad Beau Jardins on my card base and adhered the frame with the vellum on it. I adhered the stamped image in place with foam adhesives and embellished the card with some tiny gold sequins.

Tämä synttärikortti syntyi Penny Blackin uusilla leimoilla kokoelmasta Daydream. Käytin tähän uutta leimaa ...For You, väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Kehyksen stanssasin uusilla Sewing Stackers -stansseilla, kiinnitin vellumia sen taakse ja embossasin siihen tekstin setistä Carefree Wishes. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia setistä Beau Jardins, kiinnitin kaiken paikoilleen ja koristelin kortin pienillä kultapaljeteilla. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Floral cluster - Kukkarykelmä

 I made a birthday card with one of my newest stamps, this is Poppy Hawthorn by Waffle Flower Crafts. I coloured the image with my Copics and adhered it to a simple background of matted grey cardstocks splattered with some white watercolour. I heat embossed the sentiment ('Huge congrats') on a strip of grey cardstock, adhered it in place and embellished the card with some white sticky back pearls.

Synttärikortti Waffle Flower Craftsin leimalla Poppy Hawthorn. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja kiinnitin sen harmaalle kartongille, jonka roiskin valkoisella vesivärillä. Tekstileiman embossasin kartonkistripille ja koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

Penny Black Love and Happiness: HedgeHUGS

I made this 'almost a one layer card' with the cute bear from the Penny Black stamp set HedgeHUGS. This stamp can be used for Valentine's Day cards but I think it's perfect for birthday cards as well which is what I made.

I used watercolour cardstock as my cardbase and stamped the bear straight onto it before colouring the image with my Zig markers. I also added a bit of white gel pen to it. I then masked the rectangle and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage onto it. The sentiment comes from the sentiment set Snippets, I heat embossed it in white onto a strip of grey cardstock.

Tein tämän kortin leimalla Penny Blackin setistä HedgeHUGS. Tämä leima käy ystävänpäiväkortteihin mutta mielestäni myös synttärikortteihin, joten sellaisen tein. Leimasin nallen suoraan vesivärikartongista taitellulle korttipohjalle ja väritin Zigeillä. Lisäilin myös hieman valkoista geelikynää. Sitten maskasin suorakulmion ja mustetin sitä Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Bundled Sage. Tekstileima on setistä Snippets, embossasin sen kartonkisoirolle. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

A pile of presents - Lahjapino

 I bought this Colorado Craft Company/Anita Jeram stamp set Christmas Presents before last Christmas but only had time to make one Christmas card with it. I now thought I might try and stretch the stamps a bit and make a birthday card with them. I think this image works for birthday cards as well, what do you think? 

I coloured the image with my Zig markers, die cut the frame with Penny Black die Stitched Nested Frames and stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'Congratulations'). I matted the panel onto some light grey cardstock and adhered it then on a piece of patterned paper. There was a snowman illustrated onto one of the gift tags on the presents, I simply used a tiny die cut heart to cover it.

Colorado Craft Companyn Anita Jeram -leimasetti Christmas Presents on joululeimasetti, mutta en ehtinyt niillä montakaan joulukorttia viime jouluksi tehdä, joten ajattelin nyt vähän "venyttää" leimoja ja käyttää tätä synttärikorttiin. Sopiihan tämä siihenkin, vai mitä? Väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä, stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Stitched Nested Frames -stanssilla ja leimasin Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman siihen ennen kuin kerrostin paneelin vaaleanharmaalle kartongille. Taakse laitoin hieman kuviopaperia. Yhdessä leimakuvan lahjatägissä oli lumiukon kuva, mutta peitin sen pienellä stanssatulla sydämellä. Muuta koristetta en korttiin laittanutkaan.

PBSC: February - Helmikuu

We're half way through the February challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Paper Piecing. 

I decided to go with the Anything Goes theme and use this gorgeous floral stamp by Penny Black called Rosa. I coloured directly on the stamp with my Zig markers and stamped onto watercolour paper. I repeated this a few times and when I was happy with the colours, I went through the image with a damp watercolour brush. My sentiment is from Love Quotes sentiment set, I heat embossed in gold the word 'love' and then stamped the rest of the sentiment with regular black ink.  Lastly, I splattered the panel with some blue and gold watercolour before adhering the panel onto blue cardbase.

Helmikuun haaste Penny Black Saturday Challengessä on puolessa välissä. Aiheena on Anything Goes ja vaihtoehtoisena Paper Piecing.

Valitsin Anything Goes -teeman ja käytin Penny Blackin ihanaa Rosa-leimaa. Väritin suoraan leimaan Zigeillä ja leimasin vesiväripaperille useampaan kertaan. Kun olin tyytyväinen väriin, kävin leimakuvan läpi kostealla vesiväripensselillä. Tekstileima on setistä Love Quotes, embossasin sanan love kullalla ja leimasin lopun mustalla musteella. Lopuksi roiskin paneeliin sinistä ja kultaista vesiväriä ja kiinnitin paneelin sinisella korttipohjalle. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

On a swing - Keinussa

I got this stamp by Stamping Bella some time ago but this is the first time I had a chance to ink it up. The stamp is called Bundle Girl on a Swing and I think it's so cute. I coloured the image with my Copics and stamped the sentiment (roughly translated: Happiness and light to you). Then I die cut the panel and die cut the pink mat behind it. I added some patterned paper behind it, adhered the panel onto it with foam adhesives and embellished the card with some enamel dots. 

Tämä suloinen leima on Stamping Bellan Bundle Girl on a Swing. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja leimasin siihen tekstileiman. Sitten stanssasin paneelin ja sen taakse vaaleanpunaisen paneelin. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperi, paneeli siihen kiinni kohotarroilla ja koristeiksi muutama enamel dotsi. 

The Flower Challenge: February - Helmikuu

 

I'm here with my reminder card for the current challenge at The Flower Challenge where the theme for February is 'Use your latest stamps or dies'. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Sathya joining us. There's also some DT news: the very talented Jyoti Adhikari has joined the TFC Design Team and I am stepping down after this challenge. I have loved being a part of the DT for the past 2,5 years but at the moment life is just too busy for me so I feel I need to step down. Thank you so much Viv, Aileen and the DT for these years of creativity!

But onto my card. My latest stamps are Penny Black stamps and this particular stamp is from the set Blooms. I coloured it with my Copics and then fussy cut it. I die cut the frame with Hexagon Frames die and heat embossed the sentiment from the Love Quotes sentiment set. I adhered the panel onto light grey cardstock, adhered the stamped image with some foam adhesives and embellished the card with sequins.

DT-uutisiakin The Flower Challengessä on: helmikuusta porukkaan liittyi Jyoti Adhikari ja tämän kuun jälkeen minä jään pois. Olen ollut mukana 2,5 mahtavaa vuotta, mutta nyt elämä on sen verran kiireistä, että koen parhaimmaksi jäädä pois.
