Puppy - Pentu

 How cute is this little puppy!? I love this stamp by Penny Black, it's called Ate the Candles. 

I coloured the puppy with my Copics and fussy cut him out. For the background, I cut a panel from watercolour paper and after masking, I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage on the left hand side of the panel. I then die cut the area with Textural border die. After die cutting, I masked off that area and splattered some Distress Inks in Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire and Frayed Burlap on the panel. I then used Soaring die to die cut the swirly shape behind the puppy and adhered it in place. I stamped the sentiment from Ate the Candles set onto a sign die cut with Sign die (before stamping the sentiment, I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen onto the die cut while keeping the die still in place). I adhered the sign and the puppy in place with foam adhesives and embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tämä suloinen koiruus on Penny Blackin leima Ate the Candles. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja leikkasin sen irtin. Taustan tein leikkaamalla paneelin vesiväripaperista ja maskaamalla sen niin, että sain mustetettua vasemman reunan Distress Oxide -musteella Bundled Sage, minkä jälkeen stanssasin siihen Textural-stanssilla. Tämän jälkeen maskasin vasemman reunan ja roiskin paneeliin Distress-musteita sävyissä Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire ja Frayed Burlap. Kuvion pennun taakse stanssasin Soaring-stanssilla ja kiinnitin paikalleen. Tekstileima on samasta Ate the Candles -setistä, leimasin sen kylttiin, jonka stanssasin Sign-stanssilla (mustetin kylttiä Distress Oxide -musteella Antique Linen, kun stanssi oli vielä paikoillaan). Kiinnitin pennun ja kyltin paikoilleen kohotarroilla, minkä jälkeen koristelin kortin enamel dotseilla. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Iris - Iiris

We're midway through our July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Spots and/or Stripes.

This time I chose the Anything Goes theme and created this floral card. The stamp I used is called Iris Elegance and it is by Penny Black. I coloured the stamped image with my Karin markers and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap on the edges of the panel. I then splattered some water on the inked parts as well as some Distress Oxide ink in Frayed Burlap dilluted with water. The sentiment is from the sentiment set So Thankful. Lastly, I matted the panel onto some dark purple cardstock (it looks really dark, almost black in the photo though) and adhered it all onto my card base.

Heinäkuun haaste Penny Black Saturday Challengessä on puolivälissä mutta vielä ehtii hyvin osallistua. Aihe on Anything Goes vaihtoehtoisen aiheen ollessa Spots and/or Stripes.

Itse valitsin tällä kertaa Anything Goes -teeman ja tein tämän kukkakortin. Leima, jota käytin, on Penny Blackin ihana Iris Elegance, värittämiseen käytin Karin-tusseja. Paneelin reunoihin mustetin taas Distress Oxide -musteita sävyissä Antique Linen ja Frayed Burlap. Mustetettuihin osiin roiskin vähän vettä ja vedellä laimennettua Distress Oxide -mustetta (Frayed Burlap). Tekstileima on setistä So Thankful. Paneelin kerrostin tumman liilalle kartongille (vaikka se kuvassa näyttääkin melkein mustalta..) ja kiinnitin sen korttipohjaan. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Tea cup - Teekuppi

Isn't this the cutest little tea cup! I love the dainty flowers bursting out of it. The stamp is called Fresh Bouquet and it is by Penny Black.

I coloured the image with my Karin markers and cut the panel in size before sponging the edges of it with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen. I decided to do a bit of inlaid die cutting for my sentiment so I placed the 'hello' die from Thanks & Hello die set onto the coloured image and die cut it. I then die cut the letters from pink cardstock several times and adhered these layers underneath the original die cut layer. This way, when I adhered the panel onto some pink cardstock and adhered the letters in place, they stood up from the panel. Lastly, I adhered it all on my card base and embellished the card with some silver coloured half pearls.

Tämä pieni teekuppi täynnä kukkasia on ihana! Leima on Penny Blackin ja nimeltään Fresh Bouquet. Väritin leimakuvan Karin-tusseilla, leikkasin paneelin oikeaan kokoon ja mustetin reunat Distress Oxide -musteella Antique Linen. Stanssatun tekstin tein inlaid die cutting -tekniikalla käyttäen stanssia setistä Thanks & Hello. Paneelin kiinnitin pinkille kartongille ja korttipohjaan ennen kuin koristelin sen hopeisilla puolihelmillä. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Poppies - Unikot

I love the floral stamps by Penny Black, there's just something so beautiful about them! Like this poppy stamp called Brilliant - just so beautiful and a great stamp to colour. I wanted to make the stamped image the centerpiece of the card so I made a one-layer card with it. I stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured it with my Karin markers. Next I masked off the edges of the card and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy on the panel. After removing the masking, I stamped a sentiment from the sentiment set So Thankful. Lastly, I splattered some Distress Oxide ink in Brushed Corduroy dilluted with water on the card.

PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

It's time for the July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme this month being Spots and/or Stripes. 

I created my card with a new Penny Black stamp called Here's to You! I stamped it onto watercolour paper and very loosely coloured it with my Karin markers. I die cut the border with a die from the set Border Collection and added my stripes with a piece of patterned paper from the Beau Jardin paper pad. The sentiment is from the sentiment set Not Older, Better. I embellished my card with some sparkly rhinestones.

To the graduate - Ylioppilaalle

Last weekend my nephew graduated from 6th form college and I made him this card. I wanted to use my new Pinkfresh Studio stamp called Chrysanthemum but needed to make it masculine, so I coloured the image in grey Copics. I die cut the slimline shape with Penny Black's Slimline Medley die and sponged some grey ink onto the panel while the die was still in place. The golden sticker on the card is the symbol used for graduates from 6th form college. The sentiment says, roughly translated, 'To the graduate' and I heat embossed it in white.

Tämä ylioppilaskortti meni viime viikonloppuna veljenpojalleni. Halusin käyttää siinä uusinta Pinkfresh Studio -leimaani Chrysanthemum, mutta koitin tehdä siitä maskuliinisen värittämällä leimakuvan harmailla Copiceilla. Slimline-kortin stanssasin Penny Blackin Slimline Medley -stanssilla ja paneeliin mustetin harmaata mustetta, kun stanssi oli vielä paikoillaan. Ylioppilaslyyra on tarra ja teksti on embossattu valkoisella harmaalle kartonkisuikaleelle.

AAA Birthday: June - Kesäkuu

 

It's time for the June challenge at AAA Birthday and fittingly for June, the theme is Flowers. As our Guest Designer, we have the wonderful Libeeti joining us. This is also a bittersweet challenge for me as this will be the last time I join in with a DT card. I'm stepping down from the Design Team as there is just too much going on in my life at the moment (all good things but things that keep me way too busy) for me to be a good DT member. I want to thank Jane and all the wonderful ladies on the DT for everything, I have loved being a member of this wonderfully talented Design Team.

My last DT card features a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box collaboration stamp set called True Friend. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a few accents with a white gel pen. I then die cut the panel with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die and before lifting the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap on the panel. I heat embossed my sentiment ('Birthday Wishes') onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to the panel before adhering the whole panel onto some purple cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Kesäkuun haaste AAA Birthdayssä on Flowers eli kukkaisia synttärikortteja pitäisi tehdä. Guest Designerina meillä on Libeeti. Tämä on samalla minun viimeinen kertani DT-porukassa, sillä jättäydyn siitä pois. Elämä on vain liian kiireistä tällä hetkellä (hyvällä tavalla kiireistä, mutta kiireistä kuitenkin), kaikkea ei ehdi. 

Käytin kukkakorttiini Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box-leimasettiä True Friends. Väritin kukan Copiceilla ja lisäsin hieman valkoista geelikynää. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Leaf Stitched Frames -stanssilla ja mustetin paneelia hieman, ennen kuin poistin stanssin. Paneelin kiinnitin violettiin kartonkiin ja tekstin embossasin mustalle kartonkisoirolle. Lopulta koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.
