Penny Black Merry and Joy: Cozy Nights

Lovely stamps, die cutting and a piece of patterned paper - those are what this Christmas card is made of! For this one, I used the lovely house from the new Penny Black stamp set Cozy Nights, coloured it with my Copics and die cut it out with the matching die. I also added a tiny heart to the door die cut with Hearts Galore die. I die cut the panel with Leaf Stitched Frames die, sponged a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the background of the house to give it a lovely warm glow, stamped the sentiment from Thrill of Hope sentiment set in the same ink and adhered the house in place. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime. I then adhered the panel in place and embellished the card with a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die.

Leimailua, stanssausta ja kuviopaperia on tässä kortissa :) Leimakuvana on talo Penny Blackin uudesta Cozy Nights -leimasetistä, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti Cozy Nights Cut Out -stansseilla. Oveen lisäsin sydämen, jonka stanssasin Hearts Galore -stanssilla. Paneelin stanssasin Leaf Stitched Frames -setin stanssilla, mustetin talon taustaa hieman Distress Oxide -musteen sävyllä Antique Linen, jolla myös leimasin tekstileiman setistä Thrill of Hope. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia Wintertime-paperikosta. Kun olin kiinnittänyt kaiken paikoilleen, lisäsin koristeeksi vielä lumihiutaleen, jonka stanssasin Polar Pair -setin stanssilla. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Saplings

I made a shaker card! I made one shaker card years ago and have not tried one since but I thought the new Snowflake Frame by Penny Black would be perfect for a shaker card so I had to give it a go. I also wanted to continue on my white and gold theme (see my previous card here) although it made photographing the card a bit tricky... For the image, I heat embossed one of the trees from the new Saplings stamp set in gold and also heat embossed the sentiment from the Merry Builder set. I then assembled the card with the sequins inside and completed the sentiment with a die cut 'Merry' from the die set Merry and Joy.

Kokeilin tehdä shaker-kortin! Olen aikaisemmin tehnyt muistaakseni yhden, joten mikään pro näissä en ole, mutta ajattelin tämän Penny Blackin Snowflake Frame -kehyksen sopivan loistavasti shakereihin, joten piti kokeilla :) Leimana käytin yhtä leimaa Penny Blackin Saplings-setistä,  embossasin sen kullalla samoin kuin tekstileiman Merry Builder -setistä. Kokosin kortin paljetteineen kasaan ja täydensin tekstin stanssatulla Merry-sanalla stanssisetistä Merry and Joy. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta Merry and Joy -kokoelmasta ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Dainty Doves

I really like the combination of white and gold so that's what I went for in this Christmas card. The stamp I used is a new one from Penny Black's new collection Merry and Joy and it is called Dainty Doves (the set includes two doves). I watercoloured the image very lightly and added gold accents with my Gelly Roll pen. I also added gold enamel dots as berries in the branch. I die cut the frame using the new Snowflake Frame die, I cut it once out of white cardstock and the second time out of glitter gold cardstock so that I got the rectangle frame in gold. I die cut the sentiment out of the same glitter gold cardstock using the new Merry and Joy die. Finally, I simply adhered everything in place.

Valkoinen ja kulta on mielestäni kaunis yhdistelmä, joten käytin sitä tässä joulukortissa. Käyttämäni leima on Penny Blackin uusi Dainty Doves (setissä on kaksi kyyhkyä, käytin tähän vain toista). Väritin sen kevyesti vesiväreillä ja lisäilin kultaisia yksityiskohtia Gelly Roll -kynällä. Kehyksen stanssasin Snowflake Frames -stanssilla, kertaalleen valkoisesta kartongista ja kertaalleen kultaisesta, että sain tuon kultaisen suorakulmion tuonne kehyksen sisään. Tekstin stanssasin Merry and Joy -stanssilla. Lopuksi lisäilin kultaisia enamel dotseja marjoiksi kyyhkyn kantamaan oksaan. Penny Black Merry and Joy: Teamwork

Here's a Christmas card I made using a new mini stamp set called Teamwork from the new Penny Black collection called Merry and Joy. I think this duo is just so adorable and it's a really fun stamp to colour! I coloured the stamped image with watercolours, added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the star (although you can't see it in the photo..) and then sponged some pink Distress Oxide ink to the sky. I die cut the frame using a die from the new Stitched Loops die set and adhered it to my watercoloured panel. I used the sentiment from the Teamwork mini set and stamped it onto the frame. After I had adhered the whole panel to my cardbase, I embellished my card with a single snowflake die cut with the new Polar Pair die set, I also placed a white enamel dot to its centre.

Tämä suloinen duo on Penny Blackin uudesta leimasetistä Teamwork, leimasin sen vesiväripaperille ja väritin vesiväreillä. Tähteen laitoin hieman kirkasta Wink of Stellaa ja taivaan mustetin vaaleanpunaisella Distress Oxide -musteella. Kehyksen stanssasin uudella Stitched Loops -setin stanssilla ja leimasin kehykseen tekstin tuosta samaisesta Teamwork-setistä. Koristeeksi laitoin lumihiutaleen, jonka stanssasin uudella Polar Pair -stanssilla. Kaikki tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit käyttämiini tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Merry and Joy: Beaming

Beaming Elf reporting for fairy light duty! :) Oh, isn't he just the cutest elf ever!? Totally smitten with him :) Penny Black has released a new collection of Christmas stamps, it's called Merry and Joy and this little cutie is one of the new stamps called Beaming. I stamped him onto watercolour cardstock and coloured with my watercolours. I also added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the fairy lights but I couldn't really get it to show in the photos. For the sentiment, I combined a new word die from the set Merry and Joy (the set has both words as dies) and a stamped sentiment from the set Merry Builder. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto some red cardstock and then onto my cardbase.

Penny Blackilta on tullut kokoelma uusia joululeimoja ja -stansseja, jotka ovat kaikki aivan ihania! Tässä yksi suloisuus nimeltään Beaming. Leimasin sen vesivärikartongille ja väritin vesiväreillä, valoihin laitoin kirkasta Wink of Stellaa, mutta valitettavasti se ei oikein kuvissa näy. Tekstin tein Merry and Joy -setin stanssilla ja leimalla setistä Merry Builder. Lopuksi kiinnitin paneelin punaiselle kartongille ja korttipohjaan. Penny Black Autumn Bliss: Forest Delight

I made two one-layer cards using the new Forest Delight stamp set from the new collection Autumn Bliss by Penny Black. I love trees and tree stamps so this set was perfect for me. Both cards are pretty similar, one-layers with masked and inked rectangles and trees in the pride of place. For the first card, I coloured the tree with my Copics, masked and sponged the rectangle and lastly stamped my sentiment from the Family Sentiment set.

The second card is my attempt at making a Halloween themed card with non-Halloween stamps. I masked the rectangle and sponged several different colours of Distress Oxide inks to it. I also splattered black Distress Oxide ink with my watercolour brush to it. I then stamped my tree, I thought it would work as a silhouette stamp as it doesn't have too many leaves to be coloured (in fact, I did not colour the leaves at all). Lastly, I spelled 'spooky' as my sentiment with Penny Black alphabet stamps called Kate's Alphabet. Not sure how spooky or Halloween-y it is though... :D

Tein kaksi one layer -korttia Penny Blackin uudella Forest Delight -leimasetillä. Molemmat on samalla tyylillä tehty, yksi"kerroksisia", joissa maskattu ja mustetettu suorakulmio ja siinä puu. Ekaan väritin puun Copiceilla ja leimasin tekstileiman Family Sentiment -setistä. Toinen on yritelmäni tehdä Halloween-aiheinen kortti ei-Halloween leimoilla. Tuo puuleima onkin melkein silhuetti-leima, vain jokunen väritettävä lehti, jotka nekin jätin värittämättä. Tekstin leimasin Penny Blackin aakkosleimoilla Kate's Alphabet. Ei siitä nyt erityisen hurja ja Halloween-mainen tullut mutta sinne päin :D Kaikki leimat ovat taas Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

The Flower Challenge #36: Reminder - Muistutus

We're midway through our September challenge at The Flower Challenge with the theme of Anything Goes. This month we're sponsored by My Favorite Things who will kindly give our winners (yes, we'll have TWO winners!) a gift card of USD 25 each. As a Guest Designer, we have the incredibly talented Michele Ferguson.

I used the pretty Wildflowers set by MFT for my card. I stamped and die cut the images before colouring them with my Copic markers. I then cut my panel and die cut the openings to it as well as to a piece of craft foam that I adhered behind the panel. After I had adhered the panel to the card base, I adhered the flower and the leaf to their places with some liquid glue. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Geometric Greenery set and adhered the sentiment strip in place.
