Tyttövauvalle - For a Baby Girl

Taas on tarvittu vauvakortteja, tällä kertaa tytöille ja tämmöisiä olen tehnyt. Ostin tämän suloisen nalle-leiman (Forever Friendsin Thinking of You) kesällä juurikin vauvakortteja varten, tämä tuntuu passaavan niihin täydellisesti. Väritin tuon leimakuvan Distress Markereilla ja lisäilin vähän kimallekynää perhoseen ja kukkaan. Sitten hieman stanssailua, kuviopaperia ja tekstileimaa sekä kulmien pyöristys ja kortti oli valmis.

I bought this cutie of a stamp during summer as I thought it might just be perfect for baby cards and since then I've made a couple of cards with it. This time I coloured the image with Distress Markers and added some clear glitter pen on the butterfly and the flower. I used Spellbinders dies for die cutting and some pretty pink paper for the background, I also rounded the corners with a corner chomper. The sentiment says something like 'Congrats on your baby' in Finnish.

Poikavauvalle - Daisy Bear for a baby boy

Minua pyydettiin tekemään kortti poikavauvalle. Toiveena oli tyylikäs kortti (vaalean)vihreän sävyissä, ilman tekstileimaa ja tällä Forever Friendsin Daisy Bear -leimalla - näillä koordinaateilla syntyi sitten tällainen kortti. Leimasin Daisyn Papertrey Inkin Mat Stack 3 -stansseilla stanssattuun paperiin ja väritin Distress Inkeillä. Sydämet stanssasin vaaleansinisestä huovasta PTI:n Heart Border -stanssilla ja sen alla olevan vihreän kartongin kuvioin niinikään PTI:n impression platella. Paperi on October Afternoonia.

I was asked to make a card for a newborn baby boy. The special wishes for the card were 'stylish', in (pale) green colour, without any stamped sentiments, and with this Daisy Bear stamp by Forever Friends. I followed the wishes quite closely and came up with this card. I stamped Daisy on paper that I had die cut with Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3 dies and coloured her with Distress Inks. I die cut the hearts out of felt with PTI's Heart Border die and placed it on some green cardstock that I had run through my Cuttlebug with PTI's impression plate. The patterned paper is by October Afternoon.

Koristelin tällä kertaa myös kortin sisäosan, jonne laitoin samaa paperia ja kartonkia kuin kanteenkin ja koristeeksi vielä tuota sydänboordia.


I decided to decorate the inside of the card as well with the same patterned paper and cardstock that I used on the front of the card. I also added the felt heart border as embellie.

Karhunpoika sairastaa - Daisy with thanks

Tuo lastenlaulu soi minulla päässä toissa viikolla, kun meillä poika sairasti. Tauti oli sen verran reipas, että jouduimme käydä ihan sairaalassa asti potemassa sitä viikon verran. Nyt kaikki on onneksi jo hyvin ja poika on täynnä valtaisaa energiaa ja hyvää tuulta :) Laitoin tänään postiin kortin lastenosaston mukavalle henkilökunnalle kiitokseksi todella hyvästä hoidosta (ja miksei myös siitä, että poika löysi uuden intohimon kohteen - Lego Duplot... ;D ). Kortissa komeilee varsin kainon oloinen Daisy Bear (Forever Friends -leimasin), jonka väritin Distresseillä. Ihanan värikkäät paperit ovat October Afternoonia ja tekstileima on FinnStamperilta. Koristeina retrokukkia OA-paperista ja kartongista leikattuna napit keskustoinaan sekä vihreää pitsiä.

Our son was taken ill in February and his condition became severe enough for him (and me with him) to spend a week at the hospital. Everything is now ok and he is back in perfect health and happy as can be. I wanted to thank the lovely staff at the children's ward at the hospital and so I sent them this card today. The card features dainty miss Daisy Bear of Forever Friends, I coloured her with Distress Inks. The sentiment says 'Thank you'. The papers are by October Afternoon and the flowers I made with retro flower punchers. I also added some buttons and some lovely lace.

Ja näin käy, kun pieni innokas apukuvaaja saa sormensa peliin..... :) / This is what happens when my son wants to be my eager little helper... :)

Kas pienet karhut vekkulit on - Little bears

Tämä suloinen nallukka on majaillut luonani koko syksyn, mutta pääsee vasta nyt komeilemaan korttiin. Korjatakseni aikaisemman vähän käytön tein sitten samantien kolme korttia samalla muotilla. Tässä ensimmäisesssä taitaa olla perinteisimmät jouluvärit käytössä, paperit ovat BasicGreyn Wassailia ja koristeina vain nauhaa ja pienet hopeiset lumihiutaleet, joiden keskustoina on pienet lasihelmet. Leima on Forever Friendsin Cup of cocoa. Nallukan väritys Distress Inkeillä (kuten kaikissa kolmessa kortissa), kohotin sen 3D-tarroilla korttipohjasta.

This lovely little bear has been living in my craft room the whole autumn but this is the first time she (he??) gets to be in a card. Just to make it up to her I made not one but three cards with her :) The first card has probably the most traditional Christmas colours, the papers are from the Wassail series by BasicGrey and the only embellies are the ribbon and the tiny snowflakes with little beads as centres. The rubber stamp is Cup of cocoa by Forever Friends. I coloured her with Distress Inks and raised the whole image with 3D foam pads. The sentiment means 'Happy Christmas'.

Itse pidän tämän toisen kortin väreistä ehkä eniten, ovat kivan jäiset. Paperit taas BasicGreytä, tällä kertaa Eskimo Kisses -sarjasta. Tämäkin nallukka on 3D-tarrapalojen päällä.

I think I like the colours on this second card the best, they're nice and icy. The papers are by BasicGrey again, this time the Eskimo Kisses series. This little bear is also raised with 3D foam pads.

Tästä viimeisestä kortista jätin tekstin kokonaan pois, näin sitä voi käyttää talvisena synttäri- tai ystävänpäiväkorttinakin. Tällä kertaa paperit ovat Fancy Pantsia ja nallukka ei ole "framilla" vaan ihan korttipohjassa kiinni. Napsuttelin tuosta vihreästä paperista pienellä lumihiutaleleikkurilla, näin taustapaperi näkyy kivasti sieltä alta, lisäilin niitä hiutaleita sitten koristeeksi korttiin ja laitoin kaikkien keskustaksi pieniä ruskeita timangeja.

This last card can be used as a wintery birthday card or perhaps as a Valentine's Day card for a friend as I left the sentiment out altogether. This time the papers are by Fancy Pants and the bear has her feet on the ground as she is not raised with the 3D pads :) I punched some snowflakes out of the green paper, this way the background paper shows nicely thru and then I used the snowflakes as embellies on the card. I also added some brown rhinestones as centres for all the snowflakes.
