PBSC - April

We are midway through our April challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Our theme is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme of Something Funny.

For my DT card, I used the new stamp set by Penny Black called Hats Off - I love these cute little ladies! I coloured the images with my Copics and then I die cut the frames with Framed die. I also die cut different coloured cardstocks with the same Framed die so that I got the pink, green and blue inserts for the frames. I then used a die from the Pocket and Banners die set to die cut the banner which I coloured by sponging it with Distress Oxide ink before stamping the sentiment from the Hats Off stamp set onto it. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper from Coco Style paper pad. Lastly, I adhered the framed panels with foam adhesives onto my card and embellished them with black gems.

Enchantment #2

I made another card with this gorgeous new Penny Black stamp called Enchantment (first one is here) as I wanted to try and colour the image. I did the colouring with my Copics, stamped a sentiment from the new sentiment set Delightful Day and added a strip of dark green cardstock along the edge of the panel before embellishing the card with some black gems.

PBSC: April

It is time for the April challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge with the theme of Anything Goes. The optional theme this month is Something Funny.

 

I chose to go with Anything Goes theme and use the lovely new stamp by Penny Black called Spring Emerges. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with Framed die. I die cut black cardstock with the Framed die as well to get the black frames before adhering the pieces in their places. I also added a bit of craft foam behind the panel so that it is raised from the cardbase. I embellished the panel with a butterfly die cut with Soaring die and embellished the butterfly with a half pearl. The sentiment comes from the sentiment set Delightful Day.

Charisma

I made three cards with a new stamp set by Penny Black called Charisma which has matching dies (Charisma Cut-Out) as well.

For all the cards I first coloured the images with my Copics and used the matching dies to die cut them. Then for the first two cards I used dies from the set Border Collection to die cut the panels (the side of the panel on the first card and the bottom on the second card) after which I placed some patterned paper behind the die cut edge. I adhered the panels with some craft foam so that they are a little raised but before I did that, I stamped the sentiments on the panels. Both sentiments come from Delightful Day sentiment set. For the third card, I die cut pale blue cardstock with Geometric Circles die to get the beautiful die cut panel. The sentiment comes from Without Limits sentiment set, I heat embossed it in white. Lastly, I embellished the cards, the first one with pink enamel dots, the second one with clear drops and some twine, and the third card with white half pearls and a little heart die cut with Hearts Galore die and coloured with Copics.

Happy Mail

This stamped image was so much fun to colour! The stamp I used is a new one from Penny Black called Happy Mail, from their Cherished 2023 collection. 

I coloured the image with my Copics and added some white gel pen to it. I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage onto the panel before stamping the sentiment from Delightful Day sentiment set. Lastly, I embellished the card with some sparkly golden enamel dots.

Winged Wreath

I made an almost one-layer card with a new stamp by Penny Black called Winged Wreath. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a bit of white gel pen here and there. I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Salvaged Patina onto the panel before stamping a sentiment from the sentiment set Not Older, Better inside the wreath. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins (hence the card being an almost one-layer).

Delicate Daisies

 Here's a little card I made using the new Penny Black dies called Delicate Daisies. I coloured the die cuts using my Copics and added a bit of white gel pen to them. I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina and Frayed Burlap on it before splattering it with some water. I arranged the flowers on the panel and adhered the flower heads with foam adhesives and the stems with glue so that the flower heads 'pop' a bit from the background. The bow is die cut with a die from the Jumbo Bauble die set and coloured with Copics as well. I also adhered a half pearl to embellish the bow. The sentiment comes from Happy Mail stamp set.

Expressive

This floral stamp is called Expressive and it's from the new Cherished 2023 release by Penny Black.

I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers die. I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap on the panel. I then stamped the sentiment from the new Delightful Day sentiment set on it after which I splattered the panel with some gold ink and brown ink. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto a piece of dark brown cardstock.

Enchantment

Here's a card I made with the new Penny Black stamp called Enchantment. I decided to not colour it at all as I thought the stamp is so beautiful I wanted to let it shine on its own.

I stamped the image on a panel of kraft cardstock in brown ink and adhered the panel onto white cardbase. I then die cut the word 'hug' with Hug Edger die three times, stacked the words on top of each other to make the die cut word a little more prominent and attached it in its place. Lastly, I embellished the card with some self-adhesive pearls.

Prized

This is one of the most beautiful rose stamps ever! It's called Prized and it's a new stamp from the new Penny Black collection called Cherished 2023.

I coloured the rose with my Copics before fussy cutting it out. I then die cut the frame with Stitched Loops die and adhered it with foam adhesives onto a piece of blue cardstock onto which I had sponged a little bit of Distress Oxide ink in Salvaged Patina, splatterd a bit of gold spray and stamped the sentiment from the new sentiment set Delightful Day. I adhered the rose with foam adhesives as well. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.
