Penny Black Secret Garden: Unforgettable

I created this card with the absolutely gorgeous stamp by Penny Black called Unforgettable. I stamped it onto a panel of watercolour paper and coloured with my watercolours. I then stamped the sentiment from Blooming Sentiments set onto the upper corner and sponged some green Distress Oxide ink onto the three edges of the panel before adhering it onto kraft coloured cardstock and then my card base.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Springtime Sigh

It's time for a mid-way reminder at Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is 'Anything Goes' with the optional theme of 'Think Spring'. There is a prize up for grabs as well, 1-2-3 Stitch is giving our winner a USD20 voucher.

I went with the optional Think Spring theme which I associate with flowers (oh I cannot wait to see flowers popping up!) and decided to use this gorgeous new floral stamp from Penny Black called Springtime Sigh. I watercoloured the image and fussy cut it out. I stamped the sentiment from the Blooming Sentiments set onto a little sign that I die cut with the new Sign set. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper from Beau Jardins paper pad and added a pink panel die cut with Stitches of Love die. Lastly, I embellished my card with a ribbon tied into a bow and some enamel dots.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Layered Leaves

I love this die from Penny Black's new release Secret Garden. It's called Layered Leaves and it's so simple and elegant. For this card, I die cut it out of white cardstock and then just glued different coloured cardstock behind the leaves, trimming off excess. I adhered it to my cardbase and stamped the sentiment from Blooming Sentiments set in yellow. I love that sentiment and think it's very apt for the unusual times we live in. I wanted to keep the card as CAS as possible so I didn't use any embellishments.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Exquisite Envelope

I made a 'just because' card with some new stamps from Penny Black. The envelope and the flowers are from the set Exquisite Envelope, I coloured the images with watercolours and die cut them with the matching dies. For the background, I used a piece of patterned paper from Gentle Whisper paper pad onto which I stamped with the new stamp Vintage Postcard. I also sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the patterned paper panel and stamped the sentiment from the Magical Friendship set. I added a bit of doily behind the envelope before attaching it.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Blooming Bunch

What's more beautiful than a tulip? A bunch of them! Loving this new stamp from the new Penny Black release, Secret Garden, called Blooming Bunch. Such a beautiful stamp and so lovely to colour. I stamped it onto watercolour card and coloured with my Lukas Aquarell 1862 watercolours before sponging some Distress Oxide ink onto its edges. Then I stamped the sentiment from Blooming Sentiments and matted the panel onto some pink cardstock. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Painted Blooms paper pad in the background.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Herb Garden - and some news!

I have some lovely news to share today! I was accepted into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Design Team! Woop woop! I've played along their challenges many times and it is so wonderful to be accepted into the DT. Thank you so much, PBSC ladies, for accepting me! :)

The theme over at PBSC is always 'Anything Goes' (as long as you use a Penny Black image) but there is always an optional theme as well, and in March it is 'Think Spring'. For me, spring means new growth, a time to (re-)pot plants and to eagerly wait for new growth and I chose my Penny Black stamp with this in mind. The stamp I used is a new one, it's called Herb Garden. I stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured with my watercolours. I also added some watercolour splatters.  The sentiment I used comes with the Herb Garden stamp. After I stamped it, I matted the panel onto some dark brown cardstock before adhering it to the card base.

Tällä kertaa minulla on uutisia: minut hyväksyttiin Penny Black Saturday Challengen Design Teamiin! Olen osallistunut PBSC:n haasteisiin usein, joten Design Teamiin pääsy oli todella mukava yllätys :)

Aiheena PBSC:ssä on aina 'Anything Goes' eli kaikki käy, kunhan käyttää Penny Blackin leimoja. Vaihtoehtoinen aihekin on ja maaliskuussa se on 'Think Spring'. Penny Black Secret Garden: Wings & Vases

I created this card with products from the fab new release by Penny Black called Secret Garden. The stamp set I used is called Wings & Vases and both the vase with flowers and the butterflies are from it. I coloured the the floral image with my watercolours and die cut it using the matching die, Wings & Vases Cut Out. I then stamped the butterflies onto my pink panel. The frame I used is die cut with the die set Framed, I adhered it in place and stamped the sentiment from the set Magical Friendship inside it. Lastly, I adhered the vase in place with foam adhesives.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Country Charisma

I made a just because card with some of the new stamps and dies from the fab new release by Penny Black called Secret Garden. The set I used for this is called Country Charisma and there is a set of matching dies for it called Country Charisma Cut Out. I coloured both the watering can and the branch with my Copics and used the dies to cut them out. I then carefully cut an opening to the watering can with my craft knife so I was able to slide the branch in place. For the background, I die cut a panel using the new Simple Stackers die. I sponged some Distress Oxide ink to it, stamped the sentiment from the new set Magical Friendship and attached the watering can with the branch to it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I adhered the panel to teal coloured cardbase.

Kannuun tein pienen viillon askarteluveitsellä, että sain oksan kannun sisään. Taustan stanssasin uudella Simple Stackers -stanssilla, mustetin hieman ja leimasin tekstileiman setistä Magical Friendship, minkä jälkeen kiinnitin leimakuvan tarrapaloilla paneeliin. Lopuksi kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan. Käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Secret Garden, joka on saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Alluring Arrangement

I love the new floral stamps in the new Penny Black release, Secret Garden. They are absolutely stunning and so lovely to colour. This gorgeous stamp is called Alluring Arrangement and because it's quite a large stamp, I decided to try the American cardsize 5 x 7 inches for it. I also wanted to keep the card quite simple so the stamped image could be in the limelight. I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and watercoloured it. I then sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the edges before stamping the sentiment from the sentiment set Blooming Sentiments which has great sentiments for floral cards. Then I simply matted the panel onto some dark brown cardstock before adhering it to my cardbase which I folded from kraft coloured cardstock.

Tämä uusi Penny Blackin leima Alluring Arrangement on ihana värittää! Kunnon kokoinen leima, jossa väritettävää riittää. Tein tästä kortista vähän isomman, amerikkalaisen 5 x 7 tuumaisen, jotta sain koko leiman kunnolla näkyviin. Leimasin sen vesiväripaperille, väritin vesiväreillä ja mustetin paneelin reunoja. Penny Black Secret Garden: Fun Felines, part 2

Well, I couldn't put down the new Fun Felines stamp set by Penny Black, I just had to make another card with it :) This is how I think our cats see themselves, sitting on a rainbow, surrounded by a halo of golden light - just being purr-fect! Ha ha! I stamped the cat straight onto my cardbase that I folded out of watercolour paper. I then watercoloured the kitty and masked him before sponging some yellow Distress Oxide ink around it. I created the (sort of) rainbow with a new die by Penny Black called Rustic Borders. I simply die cut the smaller die of the set out of different coloured cardstock and adhered them in place. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the Fun Felines stamp set in black.

Tein sitten toisenkin kissakortin, sen verran suloinen tämä uusi Penny Blackin leimasetti Fun Felines on! Tällä kertaa leimasin kissan suoraan korttipohjaan, vesiväritin ja maskasin sen. Sitten mustetin kissan ympäriltä keltaisella Distress Oxide -musteella. "Sateenkaaren" kissan alle tein Rustic Borders -stanssisetin pienemmällä stanssilla, tekstileima on Fun Felines -setistä. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat uusimmasta Penny Blackin kokoelmasta Secret Garden, joka on kokonaisuudessaan saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Fun Felines

Sharing a new card made with products from the fabulous new release called Secret Garden by Penny Black. These cute kitties are from the new set Fun Felines, I watercoloured them and then fussy cut them out. I created the ground with the new die Rolling Hills. I simply adhered wide double-sided tape on the back of cardstock, die cut it with the Rolling Hills die, adhered it on my card and trimmed it to size. For the background, I used patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime and a frame that I die cut with the Ribbon Stackers die. I also added a tree to the background, I die cut it with the Tree Hug die twice, once from kraft cardstock and once from white. That way, I was able to add the tiny heart in white to the tree. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment. It's from the new set Carefree Wishes.

Penny Black Secret Garden: Flying By

Get your happy on! Penny Black has just released a collection of new stamps and dies called Secret Garden and it is gorgeous! I absolutely love the whole collection! Today I'm showcasing some of the new goodies on this card. The cutest little bunny is a stamp called Flying By, I coloured him with my watercolours and die cut him out with the matching die, Flying By Cut Out. The flowers are from the set called Country Charisma, I coloured them with my watercolours as well and added tiny dots to the centres of the flowers with my white Gelly Roll pen before die cutting them out with the matching die, Country Charisma Cut Out. I die cut the sign with a die set called Sign and before taking off the die, I gently sponged some white ink on the sign. I then stamped the sentiment from the set Carefree Wishes onto it. The patterned paper I used is from the paper pad Gentle Whisper and I die cut it with the new Simple Stackers die. Then I simply adhered everything in place and added some tiny clear sequins to embellish the card.
