Floral Banners

Once again I'm trying my hand at layering stencils. This time I used this beautiful Curved Floral Banner layering stencils and die from Gina K Designs and I loved the simplicity of these stencils. Easy to use and the results are pretty! I ink blended two banners and die cut the white borders to them before masking the rectangle on the panel and ink blending some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to it. I adhered the floral banners to their places and die cut the sentiment, added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to it (sadly, it doesn't show in the photo but it is really pretty in real life) and adhered it in its place. The sentiment translates as 'Many Congratulations'. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Blooms

I'm sharing a birthday card I made with a Pinkfresh Studio stamp called Infinite Blooms. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. I wanted the blooms to be the center of attention so I kept the background quite simple with white-on-white theme. I used a coverplate die Dotted Scallops from Pinkfresh Studio for the background panel and then added a frame die cut with Ornate Oval Frame die, also from Pinkfresh Studio. The sentiment is also die cut and translates as 'Congratulations'. Lastly, I embellished the card with matte gold half pearls.

Hello Friend

I had a bit of time to craft today, so I made a card with this beautiful magnolia stamp called Thankful Magnolia from Gina K Designs. I stamped it twice on my panel and coloured it with my Copics before stamping the sentiment from Blessings of Spring stamp set, also by Gina K Designs. I then die cut a simple rectangle frame and adhered it in place. I dry embossed the panel of coloured cardstock in the background with a Penny Black embossing folder called Filigree and adhered the stamped panel onto it with foam adhesives before embellishing the card with some black gems.

Daffodils

Happy Easter to all who celebrate! I don't really make Easter cards but I made this spring card with these beautiful daffodils from Altenew. This stamp is Build-A-Garden: Daffodil Delight and I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. I wanted to make the flowers pop so I used a black panel on the background and I think you can faintly see in the photo that I used Intricate Stitched Ovals coverplate die from Pinkfresh Studio on it. I die cut the arch frame from gold cardstock with Spellbinders' Essential Arches dies and placed it behind the daffodils. The sentiment is also die cut from gold cardstock and it translates as 'Hugs'. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gold sequins.

Endless Florescence

When I visited my lovely friend Nonni the previous weekend, she very kindly gifted me with this gorgeous stamp, Endless Florescence from Altenew. This is such a good one for colouring! I made a simple, almost one-layer card with it. I coloured the image with my Copics before masking the edges and ink blending the panel very lightly with blue Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish), matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock and my cardbase, and embellished the card with some clear gems.

Guest Designing at Just Us Girls - Challenge #816

This is my 4th and final week as the Guest Designer at Just Us Girls. It's been such a joy to guest design and I want to thank the team at Just Us Girls for having me. This week is Stencil Week so for Challenge #816 Anything Goes as long as you use stencils.

I used layering stencils for my card. This is Altenew's Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet and I used Altenew inks with the stencils to colour these florals before die cutting them. The floral image in this stamp set is actually pretty large and this is only half of it, which is fun as you can make two cards with one ink blended image. I kept my background simple and masked a rectangle on my panel, ink blended it with Distress Oxide ink before spattering it with blue ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from the same Rocktrumpet stamp set onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear gems.

Please head over to Just Us Girls challenge blog to be inspired by the cards made by the very talented Design Team. And while you're there, don't forget to join in the fun!

For You

I just had the best weekend! I visited my dear crafty friend Nonni and spent a long weekend colouring, chatting, and eating good food. Perfect, right? I very much think so :) This is one of the stamped images I coloured last weekend, it's the gorgeous Dahlia Bright Eyes from Altenew. As usual, I used my Copics to colour the image and then masked the flowers and the edges of the panel before ink blending Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean to form a rectangle on the panel. I used a die cut sentiment that translates as 'For You' on my card and embellished it with some clear gems.
