Lilacs

The lilac season is gone but it's always a good time to share a lilac card, right? I used the pretty No One Lilac You stamp set by Hero Arts for this one. I coloured the image with Copics and added a bit of glittery silver pen onto the centres of the flowers (unfortunately, it doesn't show in the photo). I then created the window in the background by die cutting the white panel with Trellis Window die by Hero Arts and placing behind it a piece of vellum that I had dry embossed with an embossing folder by Studio Light. I adhered the white panel with the vellum onto a piece of light blue cardstock and adhered the stamped image onto the card front with foam adhesives for some dimension. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts stamp set Here for You. I used some black gems to embellish the card.

Hello Friend

Well well well, it's been almost three months since I last posted a card. Even though I've not posted anything, I have been making cards so I have loads to share. First up is this card I made with a gorgeous Gina K Designs stamp called Spring Floral Background. I stamped the image and before colouring it, I die cut a rectangle in the middle and only coloured that part. After colouring, I matted it onto a piece of black cardstock and did the same for the larger panel. I adhered the coloured panel with foam adhesives for a little dimension. The sentiment I used is from the Blessings of Spring stamp set (also by Gina K Designs) and I heat embossed it in white. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

Happy Mother's Day!

I made a Mother's Day card for my Mum with my favourite Gina K Designs stamp set, Spring Bouquets. I stamped both floral images in the set and coloured them with my Copics before die cutting them with their matching dies. I then masked a rectangle on my panel and ink blended some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Scattered Straw on it. I stamped my sentiment (it translates as 'For Mum') on the panel befored adhering the flowers with foam adhesives on the panel. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gold gems.

For You

Here's a card I made using a part of the stamp in Alex Syberia Designs' Spring Garden stamp set. I coloured the image with my Copics and used dies from Pinkfresh Studio for the background, namely Dotted Scallops coverplate die and Stitched Scallop Circles dies. The die cut sentiment translates as 'For You'. I embellished the card with some matte gold half pearls.

Floral Banners

Once again I'm trying my hand at layering stencils. This time I used this beautiful Curved Floral Banner layering stencils and die from Gina K Designs and I loved the simplicity of these stencils. Easy to use and the results are pretty! I ink blended two banners and die cut the white borders to them before masking the rectangle on the panel and ink blending some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to it. I adhered the floral banners to their places and die cut the sentiment, added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to it (sadly, it doesn't show in the photo but it is really pretty in real life) and adhered it in its place. The sentiment translates as 'Many Congratulations'. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Blooms

I'm sharing a birthday card I made with a Pinkfresh Studio stamp called Infinite Blooms. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. I wanted the blooms to be the center of attention so I kept the background quite simple with white-on-white theme. I used a coverplate die Dotted Scallops from Pinkfresh Studio for the background panel and then added a frame die cut with Ornate Oval Frame die, also from Pinkfresh Studio. The sentiment is also die cut and translates as 'Congratulations'. Lastly, I embellished the card with matte gold half pearls.

Hello Friend

I had a bit of time to craft today, so I made a card with this beautiful magnolia stamp called Thankful Magnolia from Gina K Designs. I stamped it twice on my panel and coloured it with my Copics before stamping the sentiment from Blessings of Spring stamp set, also by Gina K Designs. I then die cut a simple rectangle frame and adhered it in place. I dry embossed the panel of coloured cardstock in the background with a Penny Black embossing folder called Filigree and adhered the stamped panel onto it with foam adhesives before embellishing the card with some black gems.
