Guest Designing at Just Us Girls

I was invited to be a Guest Designer for Just Us Girls challenge for the month of March - thank you so much for the invite and the honour! This week is Die Week and the theme for challenge #813 is Luck/Green.

I went through my dies while searching for something suitable for this week's theme and came by this lovely little rainbow die from MFT called Rainbow Whimsy. Now rainbows are lucky signs, aren't they? So, to make my card, I die cut the rainbow from cardstock in different shades of green and adhered the rainbow onto a panel die cut with Stitched Rectangle Stax die (MFT) using foam adhesives. I also die cut the larger white panel with the same MFT dies and matted it onto a piece of green cardstock. The panel behind the smaller white panel is die cut with Lacy Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment I used is from Dandelion Wishes stamp set by Mama Elephant - I thought it would be perfect for the Luck theme. Lastly, I embellished my card with some green sequins.

Please make sure you visit Just Us Girls challenge blog to be inspired by the cards made by the hugely talented Design Team and don't forget to join in the fun!

Peonies

I decided to be brave and try a bit of stenciling today - stenciling still scares me as it is so out of my comfort zone but this White Cap Peonies layering stencil set from Altenew is simply so gorgeous that I figured I cannot go wrong with it. I stenciled the image on my panel and wanted to add a frame to it, so I used Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies from Hero Arts to die cut a golden frame. The sentiment is die cut as well and it says 'Congratulations'. Lastly, I matted the panel onto a piece of red cardstock and embellished the card with some gems.

I'm entering this to:

* Altenew Inspiration Challenge: March 2026 (I was inspired by the bold flower in bold colour and wanted to recreate that, albeit with different flowers)

* Inkspirational: Challenge #362 - Use Stencils

* Just Add Ink: Challenge #780 - Stencils - Dies or Both

Blue Anemone

I'm sharing a card I made with the Fresh Picked Anemones dies by Spellbinders. This is actually a birthday card I gave to my Dad for his birthday so I used different shades of blue to make it. There are two layers of blue cardstock in the background, I die cut them both with Spellbinders' Essential Arches dies and used a Penny Black embossing folder for the top layer. I used Pinkfresh Studios' cover plate Hexagon Tiles for the off-white cardstock showing through the opening. The sentiment is die cut and translates as 'Congratulations'. I embellished the card with some gold half pearls.

Happy Bouquet

I love a good circle card and decided to make one today with a stamp set from Gina K Designs called Happy Bouquet. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting the panel with a circle die. I matted the panel onto a bigger circle die cut from dark purple cardstock (it looks almost black in the photo but it really is dark purple). The die cut sentiment says 'Congrats'. I embellished the card with some gold half pearls.

You Are Loved

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sharing the tags I made for my sons to go with the little Valentine's sweet treats I got them. This darling little mouse is from the What's Cookin'? stamp set by Hero Arts. I coloured them with my Copics. The little hearts are die cut with a Lawn Fawn die and the tags themselves are die cut with Spellbinders dies Scallop Labels and Tag. I added a bit of patterned paper, some burlap, some string and a sentiment (it says 'You Are Loved') and I also adorned the hearts with little half pearls.

Bouquet

Here's a birthday card I made with one of my new Gina K Designs stamp sets, Bunches of Love. The image comes in two parts, the blooms and the stems, I coloured both with my Copics and die cut them with their matching dies. I dry embossed a piece of white cardstock with Studio Light embossing folder Criss Cross, adhered the stems flat onto it and then the blooms with foam adhesives to make them stand out a bit. The die cut sentiment says 'Congrats'. I embellished the card with some gold pearls.

On Your Birthday

This card turned out quite simple. I used Altenew's Sparkle Bright stamp for this, coloured it with my Copics and die cut it with the matching die. I masked a rectangle on a panel of white cardstock, ink blended some Distress Oxide ink to it and splattered it lightly with brown ink. After adhering the floral in its place, I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On Your Birthday') on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place. Lasty, I embellished the card with some black gems.
