Endless Florescence

When I visited my lovely friend Nonni the previous weekend, she very kindly gifted me with this gorgeous stamp, Endless Florescence from Altenew. This is such a good one for colouring! I made a simple, almost one-layer card with it. I coloured the image with my Copics before masking the edges and ink blending the panel very lightly with blue Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped my sentiment (it says 'Congratulations' in Finnish), matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock and my cardbase, and embellished the card with some clear gems.

Guest Designing at Just Us Girls - Challenge #816

This is my 4th and final week as the Guest Designer at Just Us Girls. It's been such a joy to guest design and I want to thank the team at Just Us Girls for having me. This week is Stencil Week so for Challenge #816 Anything Goes as long as you use stencils.

I used layering stencils for my card. This is Altenew's Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet and I used Altenew inks with the stencils to colour these florals before die cutting them. The floral image in this stamp set is actually pretty large and this is only half of it, which is fun as you can make two cards with one ink blended image. I kept my background simple and masked a rectangle on my panel, ink blended it with Distress Oxide ink before spattering it with blue ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from the same Rocktrumpet stamp set onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear gems.

Please head over to Just Us Girls challenge blog to be inspired by the cards made by the very talented Design Team. And while you're there, don't forget to join in the fun!

For You

I just had the best weekend! I visited my dear crafty friend Nonni and spent a long weekend colouring, chatting, and eating good food. Perfect, right? I very much think so :) This is one of the stamped images I coloured last weekend, it's the gorgeous Dahlia Bright Eyes from Altenew. As usual, I used my Copics to colour the image and then masked the flowers and the edges of the panel before ink blending Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean to form a rectangle on the panel. I used a die cut sentiment that translates as 'For You' on my card and embellished it with some clear gems.

I'm entering this to:

* TIME OUT Challenges: Challenge #309 - In the Clear (I used clear gems)

Guest Designing at Just Us Girls - Challenge #815

It's time for challenge #815 at Just Us Girls challenge and also my third week of guest designing for them. This week is Mood Board Week and you can see the mood board if you scroll past my card below or visit Just Us Girls.

I took quite literal inspiration from the mood board and have colourful flowers on a dark background on my card. The stamp set I used is from Pinkfresh Studio and it's called Thanks for Being There. I took inspiration for the colours from the flowers in the mood board and coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. I then used Frame It die from Penny Black to die cut the frame from black cardstok and adhered it onto a piece of black cardstock to create the background. I adhered my florals and stamped and die cut the sentiment from Cherry Bliss stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio and adhered it in place. I then splattered the background and the flowers with some gold and white splatters, adhered it onto a white cardbase to lighten it up a bit, and embellished the card with some white half pearls.

Now please visit Just Us Girls challenge blog for some amazing inspiration from the Design Team and please do come and play with us!

Big Blooms

I love floral stamps, especially if they're gorgeous and big - just like this one from Trust the Magic stamp set from Gina K Designs. This is simply a stunning floral stamp and such a joy to colour! As usual, I coloured this with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. For the background, I die cut different sized panels with Spellbinders' Scored and Pierced Rectangles dies, layered them together and adhered the blooms on the panels. The sentiment is die cut and translates as 'Congrats'. Lastly, I embellished my card with some matte gold half pearls.

I'm entering this to:

* TIME OUT Challenges: Challenge #308 - Birthday Celebration CASE (I didn't CASE the whole design of the card, but I was inspired by the gorgeous big blooms taking the spotlight in the centre of the card and wanted to replicate that)

* Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Beautiful Blooms

Dainty Flowers

I'm sharing a simple card I made with Go for It stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die. I then masked the rectangle on the background and blended some Distress Oxide inks on it before splattering the rectangle with some gold and brown inks. The sentiment is die cut and translates as 'Congratulations'. I die cut it from dark brown cardstock and added some Nuvo Aquashimmer pen on it (unfortunately, the beautiful shimmer doesn't show in the photo). Lastly, I embellished the card with some brown gems.

I'm entering this to:

* AAA Cards: Challenge #309 - 1+1 (I chose Spring + Flowers)

* All About Papercraft Challenges: All About Seasons (I chose Spring)

Guest Designing at Just Us Girls - Challenge #814

It's my second week of being a Guest Designer for Just Us Girls challenge. This week is Word Week and the theme for challenge #814 is Emboss. A nice and easy one, wouldn't you say?

I did both dry embossing and heat embossing for my card. First, I masked a rectangle on my white panel and ink blended some Distress Oxide inks to it before splattering the masked rectangle with some brown ink. Then I used an embossing folder by Penny Black called Filigree and used it on my panel (unfortunately, the dry embossing doesn't show clearly in the photo but if you zoom in, you can see it's there). I then stamped Bunches of Love florals from Gina K Designs and coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting it with its matching die and adhering it in its place. To keep with the theme, I heat embossed a sentiment from Blessings of Spring stamp set by Gina K Designs on a strip of dark brown cardstock and adhered it in place with foam adhesives. Lastly, I embellished the card with some brown gems.
