Penny Black Winter Wishes: Winter Warm Up

It's time for the very first challenge of 2021 at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! As always, the theme is Anything Goes but if you want to, you can follow the optional theme and this time it is Something New.

For my DT card, I used stamps from the Penny Black winter release called Winter Wishes and I've not used these particular stamps before so there my 'something new'. I started off by stamping the cute snowmen from the set Cozy Winter and colouring them with my Zig markers. I then stamped the sentiment from the set Winter Warm Up - I think that sentiment is just perfect! Describes how I start feeling about winter every year right after Christmas, ha ha! I created a frame for my card by die cutting light blue cardstock with a die from the Graceful Stackers set, I added some craft foam behind it before adhering it to my cardbase so the frame is a bit raised from the cardbase. Lastly, I die cut the snowflake with Polar Pair die and embellished it and the card with some gems.

Käytin korttiini leimoja ja stansseja Penny Blackin Winter Wishes -kokoelmasta enkä ole juuri näitä leimoja ennen käyttänyt, joten ne ovat minun 'jotain uutta'. Leimasin lumiukot setistä Cozy Winter ja tekstileiman setistä Winter Warm Up. Lumiukot väritin Zigeillä. Kehyksen stanssasin Graceful Stackers -setin stanssilla ja laitoin kehyksen taakse fun foamia, joten kehys on hieman koholla korttipohjasta. Stanssasin korttiin lumihiutaleen Polar Pair -stanssisetin stanssilla ja koristelin sen ja kortin timanteilla. Penny Black Winter Wishes: Hello Deer

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme for December is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Winter Wonderland.

I imagine this beautiful deer is a creature that lives in winter wonderland. The stamp I used is a new one from Penny Black and it's called Hello Deer. I stamped it straight onto my card base and colour in icy colours using my Zig markers. I then masked the rectangle and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to create the 'frame'. The colours I used were Speckled Egg, Broken China and very little of Black Soot. I then stamped the sentiment which is from the same Hello Deer set. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tämä kaunis peura varmastikin asustelee talven ihmemaassa! Leima on nimeltään Hello Deer ja se on osa Penny Blackin uutta kokoelmaa Winter Wishes. Leimasin sen suoraan korttipohjaan ja väritin talvisen kylmillä sävyillä Zig-kynillä. Maskasin suorakulmion ja mustetin 'kehyksen' peuralle Distress Oxide -musteen sävyillä Speckled Egg, Broken China ja Black Soot. Tekstileima on samaisesta Hello Deer -setistä. Koristelin kortin muutamalla enamel dotsilla.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Snow Charm

I love snowflakes (real ones and stamps!) and these ones in the new Penny Black stamp set Snow Charm are no exception!

This card was really quick to make. I simple cut a panel and then sponged some Distress Oxide inks to it. I used Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple and just a little bit of Black Soot on the edges. Then I heat embossed the snowflakes is gold and added some gold sticky back pearls to the centres of some of them. I heat embossed the sentiment (from the same Snow Charm set) in gold onto a band of vellum and adhered it in place before adhering the panel to my card base.

Leikkasin sopivan kokoisen paneelin, jonka mustetin Distress Oxide -musteilla Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple ja ihan hiukkapikkasen Black Sootia reunoihin. Embossasin kullalla lumihiutaleet ja laitoin puolihelmet joidenkin keskustoihin. Tekstin embossasin vellum-vyötteelle ja kiinnitin paikalleen ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

For my card, I used products from the new Penny Black release, Winter Wishes. The stamp I used is from the new stamp set Cozy Winter, I stamped it onto a panel die cut with Antique Frame die and coloured it with my watercolours. I heat embossed a sentiment from the set Here's to Xmas on a strip die cut with the new Pocket and Banners die, added a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die behind it and embellished it with a little bird die cut with the new die Wildwood.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Hoppy Holidays

I made this Christmas card with products from the new Penny Black release, Winter Wishes.

These cute bunnies are a new stamp called Hoppy Holidays, I coloured them with my Copics and fussy cut them. I created the background by sponging Distress Oxide inks in Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick onto a piece of watercolour paper and then attaching the 'ground' die cut with Curved Stitch to the watercolour paper. I then die cut the panel using Graceful Stackers die. The tree is from the stamp set Oh Deer, I stamped it with Distress ink in Worn Lipstick. The sentiment comes from the set Christmas Feeling. After adhering the panel to my cardbase, I embellished it with some enamel dots.

Maan stanssasin Curved Stitch -stanssilla ja kiinnitin kartonkiin, minkä jälkeen stanssasin koko paneelin Graceful Stackers -stanssilla. Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cozy Winter

This lovely winter scene is from a new stamp set from the new Penny Black collection, Winter Wishes. The stamp set is called Cozy Winter.

I stamped the scene on a panel die cut with a die from the new Graceful Stacker die set and coloured the image with my watercolours. After stamping the sentiment from the new Snowflake Season sentiment set, I splattered the panel with both white watercolour and white acrylic paint diluted with some water (because the white watercolour wasn't showing enough). For the background, I added some patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime, a bit of string and a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die. I also added a sticky back pearl to the center of the snowflake. I adhered the panel with some foam adhesives so that the string and the pearl could fit behind the panel.

Leimasin leimakuvan vesiväripaperille, jonka stanssasin Graceful Stackers -stanssisetin stanssilla. Leimakuvan väritin vesiväreillä. Tekstileima on uudesta setistä Snowflake Season. Roiskin paneeliin valkoista vesiväriä ja valkoista, vedellä laimennettua akryylimaalia (koska valkoinen vesiväri ei erottunut tarpeeksi hyvin). Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia paperikosta Wintertime, hieman nyöriä ja lumihiutaleen, jonka stanssasin Polar Pair -stanssilla. Hiutaleen keskelle laitoin puolihelmen. Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cozy Winter

Christmas cardmaking is in full swing over here and I made this one with some new stamps from the new Penny Black release called Winter Wishes.

I actually used two different stamp sets in this one. The deer and the little hedgie are from the new stamp set Cozy Winter and the tree is from the set Snowfield Friends. I decided to use stamps from both sets as they go together so well. I coloured the images with my watercolours and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Black Soot on the edges of the panel. I then die cut the frame with the Looped Stackers die and adhered it in place. I stamped the sentiment with stamps from the sentiment set Merry Builder.

Väritin leimakuvat vesiväreillä ja mustetin paneelin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteilla (Speckled Egg + Black Soot). Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cup of Joy

I made this Christmas card with new stamps from the new Penny Black release Winter Wishes. The stamp is called Cup of Joy.

I coloured the image with my watercolours on a panel of watercolour paper. I then sponged the edges of the panel softly with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen before splattering it with white watercolour. I also added a bit of glitter glue to the froth on the cup (not exactly visible in the photo but it is there, I promise!). I die cut the frame using Looped Stackers die and adhered it to the panel. The sentiment is from the Cup of Joy set, I stamped it and watercoloured it before fussy cutting it. I adhered it to the panel with foam adhesives. The background paper is from the paper pad Holiday Trimmings. I sponged its edges with the same Distress Oxide ink as well so that it would match the panel better. Lastly, I added a few sequins as embellishments.

Kupista valuvaan vaahtoon laitoin hieman kimalleliimaa, vaikka se ei erityisesti kuvasta näykään. Raamit stanssasin Looped Stackers -stanssilla ja kiinnitin paikoilleen. Tekstileima on myös Cup of Joy -setistä, vesiväritin senkin ja leikkasin irti, sitten kiinnitin sen tarrapaloilla. Taustan paperi on paperikosta Holiday Trimmings, mustetin senkin reunoja samalla Distress Oxide -musteella. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla paljetilla. Penny Black Winter Wishes: Refined

The November challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is mid-way through so it's time to share a reminder card. As always, the theme is Anything Goes but the optional theme this month is a fun TicTacToe (see below). 

This time I decided to go for the Anything Goes theme and create a card using a new stamp from the brand new release by Penny Black called Winter Wishes. This stamp is called Refined and it is gorgeous! Perfect for any type of winter cards, I think. I created my card by die cutting a panel with Antique Frame die and while I still had the die in place, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel. I then stamped the image onto the panel, still holding the die in place so that I would not get any ink/stamped image on the white border around the panel. After I had stamped the main image, I removed the die. I wanted to keep my card very simple so I chose a one-word sentiment from the sentiment set Here's to Xmas. Before adhering the panel onto my grey card base, I adhered some craft foam behind the panel so that it is raised from the card base.

Tällä kertaa tein kortin Anything Goes -teemalla ja käytin siihen uutta leimaa Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Winter Wishes. Tämän leiman nimi on Refined ja se on mielestäni niin kaunis ja sopiva aika lailla korttiin kuin korttiin.

Stanssasin paneelin Antique Frame -stanssilla ja pidin stanssin paikallaan. Sitten mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteilla, minkä jälkeen leimasin leimakuvan pitäen stanssin edelleen paikallaan (näin valkoinen reunus jäi valkoiseksi eikä siihen tullut mustetta/leimakuvaa). Halusin pitää kortin todella simppelinä, joten leimasin siihen vain tekstileiman setistä Here's to Xmas ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin taakse fun foamia ja sitten paneelin korttipohjaan. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Waddling By

 It's release day at Penny Black today! A wonderful new collection called Winter Wishes is out now and it is filled with wintery stamps and dies perfect for not only Christmas cards but other winter cards, such as winter birthdays, as well. 

It was love at first sight when I saw this gorgeous penguin so I had to make a card with him straight away. I coloured him with my Copics and fussy cut him out. I then die cut the ground from patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime with Curved Stitch die. Before adhering the ground, I lightly sponged a bit of Distress Oxide ink behind it. I embellished the top right hand corner of the card with a branch die cut with Juniper die and a button with a bow. I also used a new die called Pocket and Banners but I only used a part of the die cut pocket as embellishment. The sentiment comes from the set Christmas Feeling. Lastly, I added some tiny little star sequins to embellish the card.

Tämä pingviini on yksi ehdottomista suosikeistani, joten täytyihän sillä tehdä kortti ihan ensimmäiseksi. Väritin pingviinin Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Maan stanssasin Curved Stitch -stanssilla kuviopaperista ja mustetin taustalle hieman Distress Oxide -mustetta. Tekstileima on setistä Christmas Feeling. Oikeaan yläkulmaan laitoin hieman koristeita: Juniper-stanssilla stanssatun oksan ja uudella Pocket and Banners -stanssilla stanssatun paperin (stanssi stanssaa oikeasti taskun, mutta käytin tässä kortissa vain osaa siitä).
