Posted

I made a couple of cards with Penny Black's fun Posted stamp set from Sending Smiles release. It's a postage stamp stamp set that has its matching die, Posted Cut Out.

For the first card, I used the Posted stamp set and the matching die to first create the postage stamp basis. I then stamped the forget-me-not in it using a stamp from Abloom stamp set, coloured it with my Copics and added a bit of white gel pen on the flowers. I also masked the edges of the postage stamp and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen on the postage stamp itself. For the background, I used some patterned paper from the paper pad Painted Blooms matted onto some dark brown cardstock. I splattered the background with some inks before stamping a sentiment from the sentiment set Delightful Day on it. Lastly, I added a bit of twine, adhered the focal image onto some craft foam and then onto the card base and embellished the twine bow with a half pearl.

I'm entering this to:

* Just Add Ink: #663 - Choose Two (Flowers and Gingham)

For the second card, I created the postage stamp the same way as I did for the first card. This time the flower is from the set Blossoming coloured with my Copics again and die cut with the matching die, Blossoming Cut Out. For the background, I used Vintage Postcard stamp and stamped it onto some blue cardstock before sponging some blue Distress Oxide inks to the edges and splattering the panel with some watercolours. The sentiment I used is from Love Everywhere stamp set. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Abloom

I cannot get enough of these gorgeous florals in the new Penny Black stamp set called Abloom, from their new release Sending Smiles. This time I created a flower bouquet with them.

I coloured the images with my Copics and used the matching dies, Abloom Cut Out, to die cut the flowers. I also die cut some greenery to go with the flowers, I used Penny Black dies called Fall Fern and Viridescent. I die cut the panel in the background with Graceful Stackers die, left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Rustic Wilderness on the panel before arranging and adhering all the elements on it. I then die cut the bow with Jumbo Bauble die and adhered it in place. I stamped a sentiment from Snippets sentiment set onto a banner die cut with a die from Pocket and Banners die and adhered it in place. Lastly, I adhered the panel on my card base and embellished it with some half pearls.

Doggone Sweet

I made a couple of cards with the Doggone Sweet stamp set by Penny Black because you can never have enough dog themed cards, right? I love the doggies in this stamp set, they somehow remind me of my own dog :)

For the first card, I stamped the image onto watercolour card and coloured it with my Karin markers. I then masked the edges of the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness onto it before stamping a sentiment from the sentiment set So Thankful. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

For the second card, I die cut a panel with Zig-Zag Stackers die and stamped the image onto it before colouring it with my Karin markers. I then placed the die back onto the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Salvaged Patina onto it before stamping a sentiment from the sentiment set Not Older, Better onto the panel. I then embellished the panel with some enamel dots before matting it onto a piece of dark brown cardstock and some craft foam. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto my card base.

Petals

Here's a very clean and simple card made with new dies from the latest Penny Black release called Sending Smiles. These florals are made with the die set Petals.

The card itself is very simple. I simply masked the edges of the card base and sponged the panel with Distress Oxide ink in Fossilized Amber before die cutting the different floral elements with the dies and assembling them together. I then die cut the little banner with Pocket and Banners die and stamped the sentiment from the set Floral Impressions on it. Lastly, I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Abloom and Blossoming

I made a slimline card with some gorgeous new floral stamps by Penny Black from their newest release called Sending Smiles. These florals are from the new stamp sets Abloom and Blossoming. I also used the matching dies, Abloom Cut Out and Blossoming Cut Out.

I coloured the flowers with my Copics adding just a bit of white gel pen to the leaves before die cutting them with the matching dies. I then die cut the slimline card base with Slimline Medley dies, I also die cut the basic card base with the "torn" edges once more from light grey cardstock and then once more from white cardstock so I was able to make it a topfolding card. I adhered the white card base onto some craft foam before adhering it to the light grey card base. I used sentiments from Snippets sentiment set and heat embossed them onto strips of black cardstock before adhering them onto their places. I then adhered the flowers in their places before embellishing the card with some silver glitter enamel dots.

PBSC: July

It's time for July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme for July is Anything Goes and the optional theme is The Great Outdoors.

My great outdoors is a field of pretty flowers and butterflies created with Penny Black's Floral Impressions stamp set. I stamped the images on Copic friendly cardstock and coloured them with my Copics adding tiny details with a white gel pen. I then masked the edges of the panel before sponging some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Salvaged Patina (for the blue) and Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness (for the green) on the panel. Before I removed my masking, I splattered the panel with some bronze and white watercolour. I then heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it in place.
