Hääparille - To the happy couple

Syksy on jo niin pitkällä, että se alkaa näkyä korteissakin. Tämä kortti meni avioituneelle parille lähipiiriin ja inspiraationa tässä oli morsiamen lempiväri (oranssi) ja hääpäivän ajankohta (syksy). Leimoina käytin Concord&9th:n Lacy Leaf  ja Perfectly Penned -leimasettejä. Tuon lehden taustalla olevan leiman leimasin Distresseillä ja lehden embossasin mustalla. Tekstin leimailin aakkonen kerrallaan. Taustalle roiskin hieman kultaa, paneelin stanssasin Simon Says Stampin stanssilla ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan.

Happy World Cardmaking Day! I've got an autumny wedding card to show you, I made this for a happy couple in my family. Inspiration for this came from the bride's favourite colour (orange) and the time of the wedding (autumn). I made this using Concord&9th stamps, 'Lacy Leaf' and 'Perfectly Penned'. I stamped the background stamp using some Distress Inks and then heat embossed the leaf in black on top of it. I 'wrote' the sentiment with the alphabet stamps (it says 'to the wedded couple' in Finnish). I added a few splashes of gold to the background before die cutting the panel with a Simon Says Stamp die and attaching it to the card base.

Hääkortti - A Wedding Card

Tässä on toinen vaihtoehto edellisessä postauksessa mainitsemaani hääkorttitilaukseen. Käytin tässä tuota ihanaa Lili of the Valleyn hääparia, jonka värittelin Distress Markereilla. Stanssasin leimakuvan ja sen taustan tuollaisella "holvikaaristanssilla" ja lisäsin siihen koristeeksi Memory Boxin stanssilla stanssaamani köynnöksen. Taustapaperi on niinikään LOTV:ia, tekstileiman embossasin kultaisella jauheella (näkyy tuossa kuvassa hieman huonosti). Lisänä vielä muutama pieni tippa kultaista Liquid Pearlsia.

I mentioned in my previous post that I was asked to make a wedding card, this is the second card I made. I used the cute Lili of the Valley wedding couple stamp and coloured the stamped image with Distress Markers. I then partially die cut the image with some dies and added the die cut Memory Box wreaths as embellishment. The patterned papers are by LOTV as well. The sentiment doesn't show up in the picture too well but it is heat embossed with golden powder. I also added a few tiny drops of golden Liquid Pearls to the image.

Rakkaustirpat - Love Birds

Ja taas söpöstelyä! Minulta tilattiin hääkortti ja tein pari vaihtoehtoa, joista valita, tässä niistä ensimmäinen. Leimasin oksan ja tirpat Purple Onion Designsin leimoilla ja väritin Distress Markereilla. Levitin myös hieman sinistä Distress Inkiä taivaaksi ja lisäsin kirkasta Wink of Stellaa kukkiin. Tekstin stanssasin Penny Blackin stanssilla ja siihenkin lisäsin kerroksen Wink of Stellaa, sydämet on stanssattu Simon Says Stampin stanssilla. Lisäksi hieman kuviopaperia kaapin perukoilta ja kortti oli valmis.

I was asked to make a wedding card and I decided to make a couple to choose from, this is the first one. I used some Purple Onion Designs stamps for this, and coloured the image with Distress Markers. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the little flowers and some blue Distress Ink to the sky. I die cut the word Love with a Penny Black die (it actually says 'With love' but I just left the 'with' out) and added some Wink of Stella to it, too. The little hearts are die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die. Then I added a couple of strips of patterned paper to the card and it was done. CAS and cute, again :)

Teille kahdelle - For the happy couple

Tämä hääkortti tilattiin elokuisiin häihin maalaismaisemiin. Embossasin valkoisella taustalle Heron ihanat rukiit heinät ja mustetin taustan Distress Inkeillä. Sitten leimasin paksulle vellumille Kort&Godtin pyöräilevät lapset (leimakuvan kehyksestä leimasin vain tuon "maan" ja muun osan jätin pois) ja tekstin ja kiinnitin ilmavasti korttipohjaan. Koristeiksi muutama puolihelmi. Toivottavasti kortti on saajille mieluinen :)

I was asked to make a wedding card for an August wedding that takes place in the countryside, and those were the elements that I tried to incorporate into the card. First I heat embossed in white the Hero Arts 'Silhouette Grass' background stamp and then I sponged some Distress Inks onto the background. I stamped my image onto some sturdy vellum (the stamp has a sort of a frame around it but I left it out, I only stamped the bit that represents the ground) with black ink as I did the sentiment (it says 'For You Two' in Finnish). I attached the vellum onto the inked background and added some half pearls as embellishments. I hope the happy couple that receives this card likes it :)

Aina ja ikuisesti - Always and Forever

Tein hääkortin ihan pelkästään embossaamalla. Taustalla käytin Magnolian Love Heart -leimaa, jonka embossasin kullalla valkoiselle kartongille. Vellum-vyötteeseen embossasin niinikään kullalla sanat 'Always Forever' Simon Says Stampin Always&Forever-setistä. Lopuksi kerrostin leimakuvan kultaiselle kartongille ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan. Kortista tuli melko yksinkertainen mutta toivottavasti myös tyylikäs - ainakin olen siihen itse melko tyytyväinen :)

I made a simple wedding card with heat embossing only. I stamped the 'Love Heart' stamp by Magnolia onto some white cardstock and heat embossed it with gold powder. I also heat embossed in gold onto vellum the words 'Always Forever' from the Simon Says Stamp stamp set called 'Always&Forever'. Then I simply matted the cardstock onto some gold cardstock and attached it all to the card base. The card is very clean&simple, and I'm actually so pleased with how it turned out :)

Erilainen hääkortti - A wedding card with a twist

Tämä ei todellakaan ole mikään perinteinen hääkortti! :D Ystäväni veli meni salaa naimisiin ja ystäväni tilasi minulta hänelle "naimakortin", joka sai olla mieluummin humoristinen kuin hempsakka ja värit iloisia. Siitä asti, kun ostin tämän Stampotiquen leiman, olen halunnut käyttää sitä hääkortissa ja nyt tarjoutui tilaisuus! Kortin kannessa maskasin reunat post-it-lapuilla ja sitten roiskin pinkkiä, turkoosia ja keltaista akryylimaalia päälle. Alareunasta stanssasin sydämen, että sain kurkistusaukon kortin sisälle. Uskon, että ystäväni ja hänen veljensä huumorintaju kestää tuon tekstin ;) joten leimasin sen Papertrey Inkin aakkosilla Echo Parkin paperille.

This is no traditional wedding card, I'll tell you that! :D My friend's brother got married in secret and my friend asked me to make a card for her to give to him. She asked the card to be rather humorous than traditional and cute, and the colours should be happy. Well, ever since I bought this Stampotique stamp, I've wanted to use it on a wedding card and here was my chance! I made the background on the card by masking the edges of the card with post-it notes and then splattering pink, turquoise and yellow acrylic paint on top of it. I die cut the heart out to make a peep-through window. The sentiment has a double meaning in Finnish... It actually says 'Congrats to the secretly wedded' but the verb that in Finnish means 'to wed' or 'to be married' can also refer to the physical act between two people who love each other, if you get my drift ;) So there's a tongue-in-cheek double meaning but I know that my friend and her brother can take it and find it funny! I stamped the sentiment with Papertrey Ink's alphabet stamps on some Echo Park paper.

Kortin sisälle laitoin pinkkiä kartonkia, stanssatun sydämen ja nuo ihanat Stampotiquen tikku-ukot rakastuneina seisomaan washi-teipin päälle. Tuo pieni punainen sydän on itse asiassa kynsikoriste, joita olen joskus villissä nuoruudessani (heh hee, tosiaan... ;) ) käyttänyt mutta jotka nyt pyörivät turhan panttina laatikossa. Tulipa sillekin käyttöä!

On the inside of the card I placed some pink cardstock, the die cut heart and those cute Stampotique stick figures. They look like they're in love, don't they? :) I made them stand on some turquoise washi tape and placed a tiny red heart next to them.  This way the stick figures and the heart peep through the window on the card.

Hääparille - To the happy couple

Minulla tuntuu olevan ehtymätön varasto näitä 'polkkaamattomia' kortteja, sillä nämäkin ovat pari kuukautta vanhoja tekeleitä. Kesän alussa tein pari hääkorttia, yhden tarpeeseen ja yhden varalle. Korttipohjaksi taitoin A4-kokoisen kartongin (kutsuttiinkohan tätä samettikartongiksi tms., siinä on kaunis kuviointi pinnassa) ja molempien korttien sisään laitoin myöskin taitetun A4:n kokoisen kuultopaperin tapaisen paperin, johon kirjoittaa. Molempiin kortteihin käytin Stempelgleden sydämiä ja tähän ylempään korttiin myös samasta setistä 'roiskeleimaa', jotka kaikki embossasin kultaisella jauheella. Myös hääparille-tekstin embossasin. Ylempään korttiin laitoin vielä kultaista kuitukangasta vinon palan. Koristeena leveää kultaista satiininauhaa.

I seem to have an endless supply of unblogged cards, these two are also a couple of months old makes as I did a couple of wedding cards in the beginning of the summer, one was needed straightaway, the other is still waiting for a happy couple. I made the card blank for both of these cards by folding in two a cardstock by the size of  21 x 30 centimetres. I also folded in two a vellum-type paper by the same size and added that to the insides of the cards. The heart stamps I used are by Stelpelglede as is the 'splatter' stamp I used on the first card, the sentiment says basically 'to the wedded couple'. I embossed all the stamped images with gold embossing powder. To the first card I added some golden fabric (don't know its exact name in English, sorry..) and in both the cards I used some wide golden satin ribbon.

Niin, ja kortit ovat oikeasti saman värisiä (ylempi kuva antaa oikean kuvan väreistä), jotain sattui valon kanssa ja kuvista tuli todella erilaiset..

Please believe me that the cards are actually similar in colour (the first photo shows the colours as they really were), something just happened with the light and the photos turned out quite funny..

Kuoreen leimasin ja embossasin kultaisella tuollaisen kiekuran koristeeksi (leimasin on Artemion).

I decorated the envelope by stamping and embossing with gold powder this swirly stamp by Artemio.
