Glittering

 Here's a Christmas card I made with one of the new Christmas stamps by Penny Black from their release back in July called Sparkle & Shine. The stamp is called Glittering, it's such a gorgeous stamp and very lovely to colour.

I stamped the image on Copic friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics. I then used a die from the die set Antique Frame to die cut the panel before using a stencil from the new stencil set Background Basics. I placed the stencil on my panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Old Paper and Antique Linen on the panel. The sentiment stamp is from the sentiment set Feeling of Christmas. After stamping the sentiment, I adhered the panel onto kraft coloured card base and embellished the card with some glittery gold gems.

Autumn Boots

I made this card with the main stamp in the new Penny Black stamp set called Autumn Boots (in my previous card, I used the leafy branch from this same set) from their most recent release Autumn Gala. This is such a gorgeous image and so fun to colour!

I stamped the image on Copic friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics, I also added a bit of white gel pen here and there. Then I took one of the stencils in the new stencil set Background Basics (I love these stencils so much!), placed it on my panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness onto the panel. I used a sentiment from the sentiment set Autumn Is Calling and embellished the card with some gold gems.

Hello Autumn

I'm continuing with my autumn themed cards and this time I wanted to mix and match some previously released stamps with stamps from the latest Penny Black release, Autumn Gala.

I die cut the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers die before stamping the cute bear couple on it. The stamp I used is called Rain or Shine. I then took a branch stamp from the new stamp set called Autumn Boots and stamped it on the top of the panel. The sentiment I used is from the Autumn Boots stamp set as well. The loose leaves on the breeze are from the new stamp set called Autumn Air. After I had stamped everything, I coloured the images with my Copics. I then wanted to add some die cut elements as well, so I die cut the two leaves with Fall Wreath die and coloured them by sponging some Distress Oxide inks on them. For the background, I used the new embossing folder called Dashed Design and embossed the background panel partly with it. I added a bit of twine where the embossing ends. I then adhered the stamped panel onto some craft foam before adhering it on to the background. Lastly, I added teeny tiny drops of clear Nuvo Drops to look like rain drops (they're really small so you may have to zoom in a bit).

Autumn Air

I'm breaking my Christmas card parade with an autumnal card. This one is made with a stamp from the most recent Penny Black release 'Autumn Gala'. This gorgeous stamp is called Autumn Air.

I stamped the image on a panel of watercolour paper and coloured it with my Karin markers. After the image was dry (I sped up the drying with my heat tool), I placed a stencil from the new Background Basics stencil set on the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Dried Marigold on it. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the sentiment set Always Thankful on the panel and adhered it on my card base.

Mugs of Joy

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme for September is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Lots of Layers.

I decided to go for the Anything Goes theme with this Christmas card. The stamps I used are new from Penny Black and from the set called Mugs of Joy. I stamped them onto Copic friendly cardstock and coloured very simply with my Copics. After colouring, I used a stencil from the new stencil set called Background Basics. I'm really excited about these stencils as I do background inking a lot and these stencils simply make my crafting so much easier. No need for masking tape anymore! So I used the smaller rectangle stencil from the set, placed it onto my card panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel. I then left the stencil in place, stamped my sentiment from the sentiment set Christmas Sentiments, and splattered the panel with some white acrylic paint dilluted with water to create the snow. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto my cardbase.

* Background Basics stencils (25-021)

* Christmas Sentiments (30-504)

Holly Circle

I'm playing with some new products from the Christmas release Penny Black released in late July, Sparkle & Shine, and there are some new product lines I am totally excited about!

Can you see the gorgeous sparkle on the green panel on the card? That is foiling! Do I have expensive equipment for foiling? No, I do not! That foiling is done with the new product line Penny Black came up with called Stick & Shine. It works like rub-ons, you just rub a Stick & Shine sheet on a piece of smooth cardstock, apply a sheet of foil on it and rub with your finger (or an applicator tool), peel the sheet of foil off and admire all the pretty sparkle! Easy peasy! So that is what I did with this Stick & Shine sheet called Refinement before I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Rustic Wilderness on top of it. For the card base, I also added a piece of white cardstock (on a piece of craft foam) with a strip of black cardstock separating the foiled edge and the white panel. My focal image is called Holly Circle, I coloured it with my Copics before die cutting it with the matching die, Holly Circle Cut Out. The sentiment comes from the sentiment set Christmas Sentiments. I also used some red and pink sequins to embellish the card.

PBSC: September

It's September (already..!) and time for a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is always Anything Goes and the optional theme for this month is 'Lots of Layers'. I chose to follow the Anything Goes theme this time and make a Christmas card with the classic and gorgeous Penny Black stamp called Holly Berry Branch.

I stamped the image on a panel die cut with Penny Black's Antique Frame die and coloured it with my Copics. I also added touches of white gel pen onto the coloured image. I then placed the die back in its place and sponged the image with some Distress Oxide ink in Old Paper before stamping my sentiment on it (it says 'Christmas Greetings'). Lastly, I adhered the panel onto a piece of kraft coloured cardstock, adhered that onto my card base and embellished the card with some gold sequins.

Please pop by the PBSC blog to see all the gorgeous inspiration provided by my team mates and don't forget to join the challenge!
